What is Create: Enchantment Industry?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Create: Enchantment Industry adds more tools and methods for handling experience and enchanting inside Create. Its project page says the mod currently offers these, so if you like automating everything with belts, spouts and deployers, you can automate enchanting too.[1]
The pack includes version 2.5.3b of the mod.[2]
What it adds
The project page lists what the mod currently offers. These are the features that matter most for a Create player:[1]
- Liquid Experience, listed as a current feature: high-density experience that is easy to store and transport.[1]
- Experience Hatch, listed as a current feature: lets you interact with a fluid tank directly, using your own experience.[1]
- Mechanical Grindstone, listed as a current feature: a fully automated Grindstone with an extra sanding function.[1]
- Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger, listed as current features: a blaze acts as a smart enchanting table and as a smart anvil.[1]
- Printer, listed as a current feature: copies written books, enchanted books, name tags, train schedules and more.[1]
- Experience Lantern, listed as a current feature: absorbs experience and also works on contraptions.[1]
- Hyper-enchantmechanism, listed as a current feature: lets you break the limits of enchantments.[1]
- Mending on belt: items with Mending can be repaired using a Spout and Liquid Experience.[1]
- Deployer and Crushing Wheel tweak, listed as current features: their kills drop experience nuggets. Deployers also benefit from a sword with Sweeping Edge.[1]
The page also lists, among the features it currently offers, Apotheosis integration such as the Brass Bookshelf, Infuser and Gem Cutter, and an optional Classic Blaze Enchanter from the old v1.0 mod.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests for this mod, and the mod isn't on the ATM Star path. There is also no in-jar guidebook to confirm progression details, so I can't say at what stage of the pack you're meant to reach it.
How do you get started with Create: Enchantment Industry?
5 parts
Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.14.2 guide
Create: Enchantment Industry adds tools for handling experience and enchanting inside Create. It needs Create and Create: Dragons Plus to run. Here is a sensible order for your first builds, and why each step comes where it does.[1]
Step one: Mechanical Grindstone
Start with the Mechanical Grindstone. It is a fully automated grindstone with an extra sanding function. It is also a source of Liquid Experience, the high-density experience fluid that the rest of the mod runs on: put an enchanted item through it and it gets disenchanted, and the mod even has an advancement for collecting 1,000,000 mB of Liquid Experience from Mechanical Grindstones.[1][3]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/mechanical_grindstone
Step two: Experience Hatch
Next, make an Experience Hatch. It lets you interact with a fluid tank directly using your own experience, so you can store your levels in a tank and take them back out. This recipe was added by the pack, so you will not find it in the mod's defaults.[1][3][4]
Step three: Experience Lantern
The Experience Lantern absorbs experience and also works on contraptions.[1]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/experience_lantern
Step four: Blaze Enchanter
Now for the main event. The Blaze Enchanter works like an enchanting table. You give it Liquid Experience to activate it, and you set the enchant level on its panel before enchanting. The in-mod ponder scene notes that a vanilla enchanting table caps at level 30.[3]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_enchanter
The panel is also a filter slot. Right-click it with an item to enter Template Enchanting Mode, which only produces enchantments that the template item supports. In that mode you can hand it a blank Enchanting Template and the matching enchantments get added to it.[3]
Pressing (create)
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:pressing/enchanting_template
You can automate the Blaze Enchanter with a Mechanical Arm. The arm can insert the item, feed in experience fuel, and pull out both the enchanted item and any invalid item.[3]
Step five: Blaze Forger and Printer
The Blaze Forger is the smart anvil of the mod. It can merge two of the same item, strip an item's enchantment, and apply an Enchanting Template.[1][3]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_forger
The Printer copies written books, enchanted books, name tags and train schedules, among other things. It matters for progression too: quest a quest in "?" in a tier 5 chapter of the quest book lists it as a task, alongside an Ender IO enchanter.[1][5]
How does Create: Enchantment Industry work?
9 parts
Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.14.2 guide
Most of this mod revolves around Liquid Experience and two Blaze Burner upgrades: the Blaze Enchanter, which works like an Enchanting Table, and the Blaze Forger, which works like an Anvil. Both need Liquid Experience to run, so get a supply of it first.[1][3]
Blaze Enchanter
Before you enchant anything, set the enchant level on the machine's panel. A vanilla enchanting table caps out at level 30, and in this pack the Blaze Enchanter's regular cap is also 30 (kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxEnchantLevel), the same as the mod default. Higher is not always better, because some enchantments stop appearing when the level is too high. Material matters too: golden chest armor has better enchantability than diamond, so it gives relatively better enchantments.[3][6]
The panel is also a filter slot. Right-click it with an item to make that item the template. This is Template Enchanting Mode, and the machine will only produce enchantments that the template item supports. Feed it a blank Enchanting Template and those enchantments get added to the template.[3]
Blaze Forger
The Blaze Forger merges enchantments on the same item like an anvil, but with no Repair Cost. It can also merge Enchanting Templates, and it can apply a template to an item. It can also strip the enchantment from equipment, a book or a template onto a blank Enchanting Template.[3]
Super Enchanting
Both Blaze machines have two "stomachs". The second tank can't be filled by pipe. You have to feed it an eligible Super Experience item, such as a Cake o' Enchanting. Once it has one, the machine starts seething and enters Super Enchanting mode.[3]
- The Blaze Enchanter in this mode has a significantly higher enchant level cap and can also produce Treasure Enchantments. In this pack the Super Enchanting level cap is 60 (kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxSuperEnchantLevel), and max enchantment levels are extended by 1 (kinetics.enchantments.enchantmentMaxLevelExtension). Both match the mod defaults.[3][6]
- The Blaze Forger in this mode can go past the vanilla level cap when merging, and conflicting enchantments can be merged together. The pack has kinetics.enchantments.ignoreEnchantmentCompatibility set to true.[3][6]
- In Super Enchanting mode, both machines only process Super Enchanting Templates. You make those from a Block of Super Experience.[3][4]
- Splitting enchantments does not respect the extended levels in this pack, because kinetics.enchantments.splitEnchantmentRespectLevelExtension is false.[6]
Unverified The in-game guidance cuts off at what happens when no Lightning Rods are present, so that outcome isn't confirmed here.

Automation
Both Blaze machines work with a Mechanical Arm. For the Blaze Enchanter, the arm can insert items to enchant, feed experience fuel, and extract both the enchanted item and invalid items. For the Blaze Forger, it can insert items to forge, feed experience fuel, and extract the forged item.[3]
Fluid capacity is set in the config. The pack leaves the Blaze Enchanter (kinetics.fluids.blazeEnchanterFluidCapacity) and Blaze Forger (kinetics.fluids.blazeForgerFluidCapacity) at their 4,000 mB default.[6]
Mechanical Grindstone
The Mechanical Grindstone is a fully automated Grindstone with an extra sanding function. It disenchants items and gives you Liquid Experience. The pack raised its fluid capacity to 5,000 mB, up from the mod default of 1,000 (kinetics.fluids.mechanicalGrindstoneFluidCapacity).[1][3][6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/mechanical_grindstone
Printer
The Printer copies items such as Written Books and Enchanted Books. It can also rename items and change a package's pattern or address. The pack raised its tank to 50,000 mB, up from the mod default of 4,000 (kinetics.fluids.printerFluidCapacity).[1][3][6]
Every printing function is enabled in this pack. That covers banner patterns, Create copiable items, custom names, Enchanted Books, package addresses, package patterns and Written Books. The Enchanted Book cost multiplier is left at 1 (kinetics.fluids.printingEnchantedBookCostMultiplier).[6]
Experience Hatch and Experience Lantern
The Experience Hatch lets you store your own experience in a fluid tank and take it back out. This pack adds its own recipe for it, made with an item application.[1][3][4]
The Experience Lantern absorbs experience and also works on contraptions. In this pack it holds 1,000 mB (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternFluidCapacity). It pulls in nearby experience orbs from a radius of 10 (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternPullRadius), and that pull can be toggled (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternPullToggle). It can also drain experience from a player at 50 mB per 0.5 ticks (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternDrainRate). These values match the mod defaults.[1][6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/experience_lantern
Deployers, Crushing Wheels and Mending
Kills by Deployers and Crushing Wheels can drop experience, and Deployers can collect it as Nuggets of Experience (kinetics.deployerCollectXp). The pack has these options enabled: Deployer kill drops, Deployer mining drops, Crushing Wheel kill drops, and Deployer sweep attacks. Mending also works on Deployer-held items (kinetics.deployerMendItem), which needs the collect option on.[1][6]
Items with Mending can also be repaired on a belt with a Spout and Liquid Experience.[1]
How do you progress through Create: Enchantment Industry?
4 parts
Unverified The sources here do not show any quest in the pack's quest book that involves this mod, so there is no quest order to follow. The grouping below is only based on how the in-pack recipes feed into each other.
Basic machines and templates
The Mechanical Grindstone and the Experience Lantern are both normal crafting table recipes, so you don't need any special machine to make them. The lantern uses a Block of Experience from Create.[7]

Cake o' Enchanting
The cake is a chain of Create processes. You compact a Cake Base o' Enchanting, fill it to get the Cake o' Enchanting, then cut it into Cake Slice o' Enchanting. The pack changed the compacting and filling recipes, so use the ones shown here and not the mod's defaults.[7]

Printer and Experience Hatch
The Printer is a crafting table recipe. The Experience Hatch is made by item application on a Block of Experience, and it needs a Fluid Hatch from Create: Dragons Plus, so that add-on has to be in your progression too.[7]
Item Application (create)
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:item_application/experience_hatch
Blaze upgrades and super experience
The Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger are not crafting table recipes. Each one is a smithing upgrade of a Blaze Burner, and each needs the Blaze upgrade smithing template from Create: Dragons Plus.[7]

How does Create: Enchantment Industry work with other mods?
3 parts
Create: Enchantment Industry is built on top of Create, and it also needs Create: Dragons Plus to run. Most of the connections in this pack come from the mod's own recipes, which reach into those two mods. The pack then adds a link to the Cognition mod.[1][7]
Create and Create: Dragons Plus
The Experience Lantern is crafted with Create parts and a Block of Experience, so your Create experience setup feeds straight into it.[7]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/experience_lantern
The Mechanical Grindstone is a plain Create-style crafting recipe. The Printer is also crafted from Create parts and metal materials.[7]

The Experience Hatch and the Enchanting Template both go through Create's own processing. The exact recipes below involve the Fluid Hatch from Create: Dragons Plus and Create's Block of Experience.[7]

Pack changes: Cognition
This is where the pack does its own thing. It changed the mod's grinding recipes for Block of Super Experience and Nugget of Super Experience, so both now produce Cognitium Source.[7]
Grinding (create_enchantment_industry)
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:grinding/super_experience_block
Grinding (create_enchantment_industry)
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:grinding/super_experience_nugget
The pack also adds its own Create mixing recipe that turns Liquid Experience into Cognitium Source. So Liquid Experience from this mod is a way into the Cognition side of the pack.[7]

Recipe id: ftb:create/mixing/convertion/create_experience
What I can't confirm
Unverified The mod's project page lists optional Apotheosis-series features, such as Bulk Salvaging, the Brass Bookshelf, the Infuser, the Gem Cutter and the Affix Augmentor. The pack's recipe data doesn't show whether any of them are active here, and no quests in the pack involve this mod, so treat them as unconfirmed.
Which Create: Enchantment Industry config options matter?
5 parts
Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.14.2 guide
Most of Enchantment Industry's configs sit at the mod defaults in this pack. Two fluid capacities are the exceptions, and they're the ones you'll notice while building. Everything below comes from the server config unless I say otherwise.[6]
What the pack changed
- kinetics.fluids.printerFluidCapacity is 50,000 mB in this pack. The mod default is 4,000 mB, so a Printer holds far more liquid before you need to refill it.[6]
- kinetics.fluids.mechanicalGrindstoneFluidCapacity is 5,000 mB in this pack, up from the mod default of 1,000 mB. This is how much liquid a Grindstone Drain can hold.[6]
Enchanting limits (all mod defaults)
The Blaze Enchanter limits are untouched. kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxEnchantLevel is 30 for regular enchanting and kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxSuperEnchantLevel is 60 for Super Enchanting.[6]
kinetics.enchantments.enchantmentMaxLevelExtension is 1, so the max enchantment level in Super Enchanting is extended by 1. kinetics.enchantments.ignoreEnchantmentCompatibility is true, so Super Enchanting and Super Forging ignore enchantment compatibility. kinetics.enchantments.splitEnchantmentRespectLevelExtension is false, so enchantment splitting does not respect the over-capped level.[6]
The Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger tanks (kinetics.fluids.blazeEnchanterFluidCapacity and kinetics.fluids.blazeForgerFluidCapacity) each hold 4,000 mB, which is the mod default.[6]
Printer settings
Apart from the bigger tank, the Printer is stock. Every printing function is enabled: Enchanted Books, Written Books, banner patterns, custom names, package addresses, package patterns and Create's copiable items. kinetics.fluids.printingEnchantedBookCostMultiplier is 1, the mod default. kinetics.fluids.printingEnchantedBookDenylistStopCopying is true, so the Printer denylist prevents Enchanted Books from being copied.[6]
kinetics.fluids.printingGenerationChange is -3, the mod default, and the config describes a value of 1 as preventing a copy of a copy. kinetics.fluids.printingCustomNameAsItemName is false, so custom names print in italics rather than as item names.[6]
Experience Lantern
The Experience Lantern holds 1,000 mB (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternFluidCapacity), pulls in experience orbs within a radius of 10 (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternPullRadius), and drains 50 per 0.5 ticks from a player (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternDrainRate). All of these match the mod defaults, and kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternPullToggle is on.[6]
Deployers, Crushing Wheels and Liquid Experience
Experience from automation is fully enabled. Deployer-killed entities and Deployer-mined blocks drop experience (kinetics.deployerKillDropXp and kinetics.deployerMineDropXp). The scales for those drops, kinetics.deployerKillXpScale and kinetics.deployerMineXpScale, are both 1, the mod default.[6]
Deployers also collect dropped experience (kinetics.deployerCollectXp), Mending works on Deployer-held items (kinetics.deployerMendItem), and sweep attacks are allowed (kinetics.deployerSweepAttack).[6]
Crushing Wheel kills drop experience too (kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXp), with the chance and scale left at the mod defaults (kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXpChance and kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXpScale).[6]
kinetics.fluids.experienceVaporizeOnPlacement is true, so placing Liquid Experience turns it into experience orbs. On the client side, experienceVisionMultiplier is 1, the mod default, so the vision range through Liquid Experience isn't extended.[6][8]
The Grindstone Drain and the Mechanical Grindstone each have a stress impact value of 4 (kinetics.stressValues.v1.impact.grindstone_drain and kinetics.stressValues.v1.impact.mechanical_grindstone).[6]
What changed in Create: Enchantment Industry between versions?
2 parts
FTB StoneBlock 4 1.6.0 ships Create: Enchantment Industry 2.2.5b. The mod has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier.[9]
I don't have any pack changelog entries for this mod, so there's no record here of how the pack's own releases changed it. What follows comes from the mod's own changelogs.[9]
2.2.5b (the version in 1.6.0)
- Fixed a crash that happened when an EXP item gave no EXP liquid.[10]
2.2.3
- Added a compacting recipe for infested stone and a crushing recipe for infested cobblestone.[11]
- Fixed the spout using too much EXP when mending.[11]
- This release required Create: Dragon Plus 1.8.1.[11]
Which pack release first shipped 2.2.3 isn't covered by the sources I have, so I can't tell you when those changes reached StoneBlock 4.[9][11]
