What is GeOre?
2 parts
GeOre adds budding blocks that grow resource crystals, and this pack uses it as its main automation for resources. This pack ships GeOre 6.2.2, so everything here is based on that version.[1][2]
How it works
If you've used Budding Amethyst or Certus, you already know the idea. Crystals grow out of any side of a budding GeOre block as long as there is room. The big difference is that you can pick up the budding block itself with a pickaxe, even without Silk Touch. Try Budding Iron GeOre first, since that's the one the quest "GeOre" quest asks for.[2]
You mine the crystals off the budding block and smelt them to get the ingot. Any block that speeds up Amethyst growth also speeds up GeOres, so your existing growth setups carry over.[2]
Where it fits in the progression
You first meet GeOre in Chapter 2: The Cool Parts, where the GeOre quest introduces it as your go-to way to automate resources.[2]
It matters again on the ATM Star path. In Chapter 3: AllTheModium, the quest "Uraninite GeOre" quest explains that the Vibranium Ingot needs an uncomfortable amount of GeOres. Most of them are simple: you cover Compressed Sand with the matching ore through the Foundry.[3]
Uraninite is the exception. You use the Ender Crafter to combine 4 Uraninite with a Budding Uranium GeOre, and the quest's task item is Budding Uraninite GeOre. You can get the Uraninite by sieving Sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh.[3]
Unverified The exact in-pack crafting recipes for the budding blocks, and any config options for GeOre, are not covered by the sources used for this section.
How do you get started with GeOre?
4 parts
GeOres are the pack's main automation for resources. They work like Budding Amethyst or Certus: crystals grow out of any side of the budding block as long as there is room. The big difference is that you can pick a budding GeOre up with a pickaxe, even without Silk Touch.[2]
Step 1: Make your first Budding GeOre
The first one to aim for is Budding Iron GeOre, the task of the "GeOre" quest quest in Chapter 2. The pack adds its own casting recipe for it, so this is the one to follow:[2][4]
Block Casting (productivemetalworks)
Sand 1x
- 810× any molten iron
Recipe id: productivemetalworks:kjs/4o25qbixo03idf2p91rc6t0a6
This recipe is added by the pack and uses block casting.
Step 2: Set it up and harvest
- Place the budding block somewhere with open space around it. Crystals grow out of any side if there is room, so leave space on the sides you want to harvest.[2]
- Mine the crystals off the budding block and smelt them to get the ingot.[2]
- If you want to move the budding block, break it with a pickaxe. You don't need Silk Touch.[2]
Later: Uraninite GeOre
Once you reach Chapter 3, the "Uraninite GeOre" quest quest asks for Budding Uraninite GeOre. The Vibranium Ingot needs a lot of GeOres. Most are simple, but Uraninite is different: you use the Ender Crafter to combine 4 Uraninite with a Budding Uranium GeOre. You can get Uraninite by sieving Sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh.[3][4]

How does GeOre work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
GeOre is a small mod, and the sources for this pack don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluid handling or automation for it. What they do cover is which geodes can generate, a piston toggle for budding GeOre, the spyglass overlay strength, and the crafting of the items made from shards.[5][6]
Geode generation
Each ore type has its own on/off generation option, and there is a separate group of settings for modded generation. By the mod's defaults these are on: coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, redstone and quartz. Quartz also has its own option for generating in the Nether, which is on by default, and so is budding ancient debris.[5]
By the mod's defaults these are off: allthemodium, aluminum, black quartz, lead, monazite, nickel, osmium, platinum, ruby, sapphire, silver, tin, topaz, tungsten, unobtainium, uraninite, uranium, vibranium and zinc. Allthemodium GeOre Shard, Aluminum GeOre Shard and Black Quartz GeOre Shard all exist as items, but their geodes are not generated by default.[5][6]
Unverified These values are the mod's own defaults, taken from its option tooltips. The pack's actual GeOre settings live in the mod's config file, which the sources here do not show, so whether the pack changes any of them is unverified.
Budding GeOre and pistons
In vanilla, a piston push breaks a budding block. GeOre has an option that overrides this so budding GeOre is not broken when pushed. By the mod's default it is off, so the vanilla behaviour applies.[5]
Spyglass overlay
Each ore type has its own GeOre spyglass, such as the Diamond GeOre Spyglass. A single option controls the intensity of the spyglass color overlay. The mod's default is 0.5, which means 50%.[5][6]
Crafting the GeOre items
Shards are the base material. Each ore type's shard crafts into a block of that GeOre, into tinted glass and into a spyglass. The block and tinted glass recipes are the mod's own. The spyglass recipes are marked as changed by the pack, so don't rely on the mod's default spyglass recipe. Here is the copper set as an example:[6]
This block recipe is the mod's own recipe.

The other ore types, such as Iron Tinted Glass and Block Of Gold GeOre, follow the same pattern in the part of the recipe dump that is visible.[6]
How do you progress through GeOre?
3 parts
The sources don't define formal GeOre tiers, so there's no official tier ladder to show you. What they do give is a clear progression path through the quests, starting with iron and finishing with the Uraninite GeOre that the Vibranium push needs.[2][3]
Step 1: Budding Iron GeOre
The quest "GeOre" quest in Chapter 2 introduces GeOres as the pack's main automation for resources. The task is to get Budding Iron GeOre. They work like Budding Amethyst or Certus, so crystals grow out of any side with room. The big difference is that you can pick GeOres up with a pickaxe, even without Silk Touch.[2]
You mine the grown crystals off the budding block and smelt them to get the ingot. Any block that speeds up Amethyst growth also speeds up GeOres.[2]
In this pack, Budding Iron GeOre is made with block casting, a recipe the pack added:[4]
Block Casting (productivemetalworks)
Sand 1x
- 810× any molten iron
Recipe id: productivemetalworks:kjs/4o25qbixo03idf2p91rc6t0a6
Step 2: Uraninite GeOre
The quest "Uraninite GeOre" quest in Chapter 3 comes after the Ender Crafter. It warns that the Vibranium Ingot needs an uncomfortable amount of GeOres. Most are simple: you cover Compressed Sand with the matching ore through the Foundry. Uraninite is the odd one out.[3]
For Budding Uraninite GeOre, the quest says to use the Ender Crafter to combine 4 Uraninite with a Budding Uranium GeOre. You can get Uraninite by sieving Sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh. The pack added this Ender Crafter recipe:[3][4]

Shards, blocks and extras
Each GeOre type has its own shard, block, spyglass and tinted glass item. For the ones shown in the recipe data, such as Coal GeOre Shard and Block Of Coal GeOre, the pack added a shapeless recipe that turns the block back into shards.[4]
The spyglass recipes are changed by the pack. The recipe data lists a copper ingot tag as the second ingredient alongside the shard. Here's the Iron GeOre Spyglass as an example:[4]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | Empty slot | |
| Empty slot | any copper ingot | Empty slot |
| Empty slot | any copper ingot | Empty slot |
Recipe id: geore:iron_spyglass
Unverified The sources don't confirm which GeOre types the Vibranium Ingot needs, how many of each, or any ordering between the other GeOre types. Check the in-game quest book for those details.
How does GeOre work with other mods?
4 parts
Most of GeOre's connections to other mods come from pack-made recipes that tie shards and budding blocks into AllTheOres, Productive Metalworks, Extended Crafting and a few machine mods. Here's where they show up.[4]
Smelting shards into AllTheOres items
The pack changed the furnace and blasting recipes for GeOre shards so they give AllTheOres results. That covers Aluminum Ingot, Lead Ingot, Nickel Ingot, Osmium Ingot, Platinum Ingot, Silver Ingot, Tin Ingot, Uranium Ingot and Zinc Ingot. The same goes for the gems Ruby and Sapphire.[4]
Tin is one example. The other shards above follow the same pattern.
Melting and casting with Productive Metalworks
Productive Metalworks can melt GeOre shards and blocks into molten fluids, and the pack changed these recipes. For example, Coal GeOre Shard melts into Molten Carbon. Ruby, sapphire and topaz shards melt into fluids from the sgearmetalworks namespace instead, such as Molten Ruby.[4]
Item Melting (productivemetalworks)
Recipe id: productivemetalworks:melting/geore/tin_shard
Going the other way, the pack adds block casting recipes that make budding blocks. Most of them take Sand 1x plus a matching molten fluid. Budding Black Quartz GeOre uses Red Sand 1x instead. Three top-tier metals need the bigger Sand 5x: Budding Allthemodium GeOre, Budding Vibranium GeOre and Budding Unobtainium GeOre, cast with Molten Allthemodium, Molten Vibranium and Molten Unobtainium.[4]
Block Casting (productivemetalworks)

Budding Vibranium GeOre is one of the Sand 5x casts.
Ender Crafter recipes
Extended Crafting's Ender Crafter links GeOre to several other mods in recipes added by the pack. The first recipe below is the Applied Energistics 2 link and is how you get Flawless Budding Certus Quartz. Look for Certus Quartz Dust and Budding Quartz GeOre in it.[4]

Vibranium Ingot is the big one. Its Ender Crafter recipe combines a Crystaltine Ingot with a whole spread of GeOre shards. The quest "Uraninite GeOre" quest calls this an uncomfortable amount of GeOres.[3][4]
Shaped Ender Crafter (extendedcrafting)
Recipe id: extendedcrafting:vibranium
Uraninite is the odd one out. Budding Uraninite GeOre is made in the Ender Crafter from Budding Uranium GeOre and Uraninite. The quest says it takes 4 Uraninite, and that you can sieve sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh to get it.[3][4]

Crushing coal shards
The pack adds a crushing recipe for Coal GeOre Shard in five different mods, and the recipes are shown below. Four of them give Coal Dust, while the Modern Industrialization macerator gives Coal Dust.[4]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use GeOre?
2 parts
GeOre shows up in two quest chapters in the pack. The first quest introduces the mod, and the second one is a special case you hit when you start making Vibranium.[2][3]
Chapter 2: The Cool Parts
The quest "GeOre" quest is where GeOre first comes up. It unlocks after another quest in the same chapter, and its task is to obtain Budding Iron GeOre.[2]
The quest text calls GeOre the main automation for resources in the pack. They work like Budding Amethyst or Certus, so crystals grow out of any side of them if there is room. The difference is that you can pick GeOres up with a pickaxe, even without Silk Touch.[2]
You mine the crystals off the Budding GeOre and smelt them to get your ingot. Any blocks that speed up Amethyst growth will also speed up GeOres.[2]
Chapter 3: AllTheModium
The quest "Uraninite GeOre" quest comes after the Ender Crafter quest, and its task is to obtain Budding Uraninite GeOre.[3]
The quest text says the Vibranium Ingot needs an uncomfortable amount of GeOres. Most are simple: you cover Compressed Sand with the matching ore through the Foundry. Uraninite is the exception.[3]
For Uraninite, you use the Ender Crafter to combine 4 Uraninite with a Budding Uranium GeOre. The quest says you can get Uraninite by sieving Sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh.[3]
