What is GeOre?
1 part
GeOre is the pack's main way to automate resources. This pack ships GeOre 6.2.1, and it has been in the pack since version 1.0 or earlier.[1][2]
If you've used Budding Amethyst or Certus, you already know the idea. A budding GeOre block grows crystals out of any side that has room. The big difference is that you can pick up GeOre blocks with a pickaxe, and you don't need Silk Touch. You mine the crystals off the budding block, then smelt them to get your ingot.[2]
Where it fits in the progression
You meet GeOre in Chapter 2 with the "GeOre" quest quest, whose task is Budding Iron GeOre. That quest is where the pack introduces GeOres as your main resource automation.[2]
It gets bigger in Chapter 3. The quest text says the Vibranium Ingot needs an uncomfortable amount of GeOres. Most are simple: you cover Compressed Sand with the matching ore through the Foundry.[3]
Uraninite is the exception, and the "Uraninite GeOre" quest quest (task: Budding Uraninite GeOre) explains why. You use the Ender Crafter to combine 4 Uraninite with a Budding Uranium Geore. You can get the Uraninite by sieving Sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh.[3]
Unverified The sources I was given don't show GeOre on the ATM Star quest path, so I can't say where it fits there.
How do you get started with GeOre?
3 parts
GeOre is the main resource automation in this pack. A Budding GeOre works like Budding Amethyst or Certus: crystals grow out of any side of it if there is room. The big difference is that you can pick a GeOre up with a pickaxe, even without Silk Touch. You mine the crystals off, then smelt them into ingots.[2]
Your first steps
- Make a Budding Iron GeOre. It's the item the GeOre quest "GeOre" quest in Chapter 2: The Cool Parts asks for, so it's your starting point. In this pack it's made by block casting, and the pack added that recipe (shown below).[2][4]
- Place it somewhere with open sides. Crystals can grow out of any side with room, so don't box it in.[2]
- Mine the crystals off the Budding GeOre and smelt them to get your ingot. Any block that speeds up Amethyst growth will speed up GeOres too.[2]
- Pick the GeOre up with a pickaxe when you want to move it. No Silk Touch is needed.[2]

Shards and blocks
GeOre shards and GeOre blocks convert both ways. The mod's own recipe turns shards into a block, and the pack adds a shapeless recipe that turns the block back into shards. Iron is the example here, and the other metals follow the same pattern.[4]

Looking ahead: Uraninite
Later, in Chapter 3: AllTheModium, the quest "Uraninite GeOre" quest warns that the Vibranium Ingot needs an uncomfortable amount of GeOres. Most are simple: you cover Compressed Sand with the ore through the Foundry. Uraninite is the exception.[3]
For Budding Uraninite GeOre you use the Ender Crafter to combine 4 Uraninite with a Budding Uranium GeOre. You can get Uraninite by sieving Sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh.[3][4]

How does GeOre work?
5 parts
GeOre works differently from most mods in this wiki. The material available for this pack describes no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation for it. What it does cover is world generation toggles, a piston setting and a handful of crafting recipes, so that's what this section sticks to.[4][5]
What you actually collect
Each ore type comes as a shard item and a matching storage block, for example Iron GeOre Shard and Block Of Iron GeOre. The same pairing exists for modded materials such as Allthemodium GeOre Shard and Block Of Allthemodium GeOre.[4]
Shards and blocks
Shards compress into blocks with the mod's own shaped recipe. This is the aluminum version, and the other materials I checked follow the same pattern.[4]
This is the mod's own recipe, not one changed by the pack.
The pack also adds a shapeless recipe for each material that turns a block back into its shards, so you can go both ways.[4]
Crafting Shapeless

Added by the pack.
Spyglasses and tinted glass
Materials such as aluminum and allthemodium have their own spyglass, for example Aluminum GeOre Spyglass, and their own tinted glass, for example Aluminum Tinted Glass. The spyglass recipe is changed by the pack compared with the mod's default, while the tinted glass recipe is the mod's own.[4]

Generation settings
The mod's language file describes an on/off toggle for generating each GeOre type. By the mod's defaults, these are on: coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, quartz, quartz in the Nether, redstone, and budding ancient debris.[5]
By the mod's defaults, these are off: allthemodium, aluminum, black quartz, lead, nickel, osmium, platinum, ruby, sapphire, silver, tin, topaz, uraninite, uranium and zinc. The mod also lists toggles for monazite, tungsten, unobtainium and vibranium, which default to off as well.[5]
Budding GeOre and pistons
The mod describes a setting to disable piston push for budding GeOre. It overrides the vanilla behavior of breaking the block when it is pushed, and its default is false.[5]
Unverified The generation toggles and the piston setting above are the mod's own defaults from its language file. No GeOre config files are available as a source here, so the values this pack actually uses are not shown. They would be set in the mod's config.
How do you progress through GeOre?
3 parts
GeOre isn't a long ladder of tiers. In this pack it is one resource-automation system that you meet early in the quest book, then lean on much harder when you reach Vibranium. Here's how the quests lead you through it.[2][3]
Early game: your first Budding GeOre
The quest "GeOre" quest in Chapter 2 asks you to get Budding Iron GeOre. The quest calls GeOres the pack's main automation for resources. They work like Budding Amethyst or Certus, so crystals grow out of any side of them if there is room.[2]
The big difference is that you can pick GeOres up with a pickaxe, even without Silk Touch. You mine the crystals off the budding block and smelt them to get your ingot. Any block that speeds up Amethyst also speeds up GeOres.[2]
The pack adds its own block casting route for the Budding Iron GeOre.[4]

Mid game: the Vibranium push
Chapter 3 brings GeOres back with "Uraninite GeOre" quest, which comes after the Ender Crafter. The quest warns that the Vibranium Ingot needs an uncomfortable amount of GeOres. It says most of them are simple: you cover Compressed Sand with the matching ore through the Foundry.[3]
Uraninite is the exception. Instead of the Foundry, you use the Ender Crafter with a Budding Uranium GeOre to make Budding Uraninite GeOre. The quest also tells you that sieving Sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh gets you Uraninite.[3][4]

Shards, blocks and spyglasses
GeOre metals and gems come with shards, storage blocks, spyglasses and tinted glass. In this pack you can also turn a GeOre block back into shards with a shapeless recipe, and the pack added those recipes.[4]
Crafting Shapeless

How does GeOre work with other mods?
4 parts
GeOre is mostly a bridge between your automated crystal farms and the rest of the pack. The shards and budding blocks plug into AllTheOres, Productive Metalworks, Extended Crafting and several crushers. Here's how each connection works in this pack.[2][4]
Smelting shards into AllTheOres items
Per "GeOre" quest, you mine the crystals off a budding GeOre and smelt them to get your ingot. The pack has changed the furnace and blasting recipes for these shards so they give AllTheOres results: Aluminum Ingot, Lead Ingot, Nickel Ingot, Osmium Ingot, Platinum Ingot, Silver Ingot, Tin Ingot, Uranium Ingot and Zinc Ingot. The gem shards give Ruby and Sapphire.[2][4]
Melting and casting with Productive Metalworks
Both shards and blocks can be melted into molten fluids. For example, Iron GeOre Shard becomes Molten Iron and Coal GeOre Shard becomes Molten Carbon. Ruby, sapphire and topaz shards melt into Molten Ruby, Molten Sapphire and Molten Topaz.[4]
It also works in reverse. Block casting turns Sand 1x plus the matching molten fluid into the budding block, so Sand 1x with molten gold gives Budding Gold GeOre. The three AllTheModium metals need the bigger Sand 5x instead, with Molten Allthemodium, Molten Vibranium or Molten Unobtainium for Budding Allthemodium GeOre, Budding Vibranium GeOre and Budding Unobtainium GeOre. The budding quartz from the same casting setup feeds into Applied Energistics 2 (see below).[4]
Crushing coal shards
The pack adds a crushing recipe for Coal GeOre Shard in five machine mods: Immersive Engineering, Industrial Foregoing, Mekanism, Modern Industrialization and Occultism. The Modern Industrialization macerator makes its own Coal Dust, while the other four machines make Coal Dust. The recipes are shown below.[4]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use GeOre?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.0 guide
GeOre shows up in two quest chapters in the pack. The first quest introduces the mod, and the second one is a special case you hit when you start making Vibranium.[6][7]
Chapter 2: The Cool Parts
The quest "GeOre" quest is where GeOre first comes up. It unlocks after another quest in the same chapter, and its task is to obtain Budding Iron GeOre.[6]
The quest text calls GeOre the main automation for resources in the pack. They work like Budding Amethyst or Certus, so crystals grow out of any side of them if there is room. The difference is that you can pick GeOres up with a pickaxe, even without Silk Touch.[6]
You mine the crystals off the Budding GeOre and smelt them to get your ingot. Any blocks that speed up Amethyst growth will also speed up GeOres.[6]
Chapter 3: AllTheModium
The quest "Uraninite GeOre" quest comes after the Ender Crafter quest, and its task is to obtain Budding Uraninite GeOre.[7]
The quest text says the Vibranium Ingot needs an uncomfortable amount of GeOres. Most are simple: you cover Compressed Sand with the matching ore through the Foundry. Uraninite is the exception.[7]
For Uraninite, you use the Ender Crafter to combine 4 Uraninite with a Budding Uranium GeOre. The quest says you can get Uraninite by sieving Sand with a Diamond or Netherite Mesh.[7]
