What is Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
2 parts
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals (ae2wtlib) is an addon for AE2 that puts wireless versions of several terminals in your hands. This pack ships version 19.5.1, so if you already run an ME network, you can reach it without walking back to the base.[1][2]
It adds wireless versions of the crafting terminal, the pattern encoding terminal and the pattern access terminal. The wireless crafting terminal also gets extras over vanilla AE2: automatic restocking from your ME network, Pick Block that draws from the network, and magnet behavior when you install a Magnet Card.[3][4]
Going anywhere with the Quantum Bridge Card
The Quantum Bridge Card lets a terminal reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions. The chunks holding your network still have to be loaded. The terminal also recharges from your network, so make sure you have enough energy storage.[1][5]
The pack's Applied Energistics 2 chapter has a quest for this card, which unlocks after the Quantum Network Bridge and Wireless Terminals quests: a quest in "Applied Energistics 2". It describes the card as an alternate way to get wireless interdimensional access to your system.[6]
One terminal for everything
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines all the AE2wtlib wireless terminals into one item, and you cycle between them with a button in the UI. Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and their energy storage adds up. AE2's own terminals can't be combined into it.[1][7]
It also sits on the ATM Star path: a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star" in Chapter 4: The ATM Star asks you to get the Wireless Universal Terminal.[8]
How do you get started with Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
5 parts
Wireless Terminals adds wireless versions of several Applied Energistics 2 terminals, a Wireless Universal Terminal that combines them, and a few upgrade cards. Here is the order I'd tackle them in.[1][4]
Start with the Wireless Crafting Terminal
The Wireless Crafting Terminal is the wireless version of the crafting terminal, and it's the base for most of what follows. This mod adds automatic restocking from your ME network, and Pick Block will pull items from the network when they aren't in your inventory.[3]
Restocking only works while you're in range of an access point, or if your terminal is quantum linked (more on that below). You can switch it on in the GUI or with a keybind.[9]
Add the pattern terminals
The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal is the wireless version of the pattern encoding terminal. The pack has two recipes for it: a full crafting recipe and an upgrade recipe.[4][10]

The Wireless Pattern Access Terminal is the wireless version of the pattern access terminal.[4][10]

Combine them into the Universal Terminal
The Wireless Universal Terminal merges several wireless terminals into one item, so you don't have to carry a separate one for each. A button in the UI cycles between the installed terminals. In the pack's quest book it is a task in the chapter that holds a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star".[4][7][8]
Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the energy storage of the installed terminals adds together. A universal terminal with two terminals has twice the storage of a single one.[7]
Get unlimited range with the Quantum Bridge Card
The Quantum Bridge Card links your terminal to a Quantum Bridge. That gives you access to your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and the terminal recharges from your network automatically. In the pack's Applied Energistics 2 quest chapter, a quest in "Applied Energistics 2" comes after the Quantum Network Bridge and Wireless Terminals quests.[5][6]

- Put the other singularity of the pair in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network.[5][6]
Finish with the Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to your terminal. It picks up items from a larger range and can put them straight into your ME system instead of your inventory. You can toggle and filter both behaviors separately, and there's a keybind to switch it on and off.[11]

How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work?
5 parts
This section covers how the wireless terminals behave once you have them: how the Wireless Universal Terminal stacks terminals, how a quantum link lets a terminal reach your network from anywhere, and what restocking and the magnet do.[4][5][7][9][11]
Universal terminal and upgrades
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item. It adds a button to the terminal screen: left-click cycles to the next terminal and right-click goes back to the previous one.[7][12]
- Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the universal terminal accepts the same upgrades as the terminals inside it.[7]
- Adding terminals combines their energy storage, so a universal terminal with two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[7]
- The Wireless Crafting Terminal accepts these upgrades: one that increases battery capacity, the Quantum Bridge Card for unlimited range and automatic charging, and the Magnet Card for magnet functionality.[3][12]
Like AE2's own wireless terminal, these can be opened with a keybind and placed in a curio slot, if a mod implementing the curio API is installed. They can also be linked to a network like a normal wireless terminal.[4]
Quantum linking
The Quantum Bridge Card is an upgrade card that lets a wireless terminal link to a Quantum Bridge. Put the card and one singularity in your terminal, and put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network.[5]
Your terminal is then quantum linked. It can reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, as long as the chunks holding the network stay loaded. It also recharges automatically from your network, so make sure the network has enough energy storage.[5]

Restocking and Pick Block
With Restock enabled, your terminal tries to replace items you use with items from the ME System. You can toggle it in the GUI or with a keybind.[9][12]
It keeps the stack you are using at its maximum size, 64 for most items. Missing items are taken from the ME System, and excess items go back into it if you pick up more. Your hotbar count also shows the network total plus what is actually in the hotbar.[9]
- It will not restock a stack that holds a single item before it is used.[9]
- It only works while you are in range of an access point, or if the terminal is quantum linked.[9]
- In creative mode it is disabled automatically.[9]
- It handles placing blocks, eating food and shooting a bow. Actions from other mods may not be recognised, so those items won't be restocked.[9]
The mod also improves Pick Block. If the item isn't in your inventory, it is drawn from the ME Network, and it will try to store items if your current slot happens to be full. There is also a keybind to stow the stack in your hand into the ME System.[3][12]
Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to the Wireless Crafting Terminal, and a keybind turns it on or off. It does two things: it picks up items in a larger range, and it sends picked up items into the ME System instead of your inventory.[11][12]
Both behaviours can be toggled separately and each has its own filter, a pickup filter and an insert filter. Either filter can be set to blacklist or whitelist mode. The GUI shows the states Pickup to Inventory, Pickup to ME, Magnet Off with Pickup to ME, and Off.[11][12]
Unverified The mod's own guide says the magnet pickup range is configurable with a default of 16. That value would be set in the mod's config, but the sources here include no config file for this mod, so the range this pack uses is unverified.
The pack changed the Magnet Card recipe from the mod's own, so use this one:[10]

Pattern terminals
The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal and the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal are wireless versions of the matching ME terminals, and each has its own keybind to open it. The pack uses the mod's own recipes for both.[4][10][12]

How do you progress through Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
4 parts
Wireless terminals in this pack are a ladder: you start with a single wireless terminal, add specialised ones, merge them into one item, then bolt on upgrade cards. Here's how the tiers fit together.[4]
Tier 1: Wireless Crafting Terminal
The Wireless Crafting Terminal is the wireless version of the crafting terminal. The mod adds automatic restocking from your ME network and lets Pick Block pull items from the network when they aren't in your inventory.[3][10]
Restocking only works while you're in range of an access point, or while your terminal is quantum linked. It won't restock a stack that holds a single item before you've used it.[9]
Tier 2: Pattern terminals
The Wireless Pattern Access Terminal is the wireless version of the ME Pattern Access Terminal. Here is its in-pack recipe:[4][10]

The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal is the wireless version of the pattern encoding terminal. You can craft it from scratch:[4][10]

There is also a shapeless upgrade recipe that turns a Wireless Crafting Terminal into the encoding terminal:[10]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: ae2wtlib:pattern_encoding/upgrade_wireless_pattern_encoding_terminal
Wireless Universal Terminal
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item. The pack tracks it in a quest in Chapter 4: The ATM Star, a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star", whose task is to obtain it.[7][8]
- A button on the terminal UI cycles to the next terminal with left-click, or to the previous one with right-click.[7]
- Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the universal terminal accepts the same upgrades as the terminals inside it.[7]
- Energy storage is combined, so a universal terminal with two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[7]
- AE2's own Wireless Terminal can't be combined into it, since it wouldn't give any benefit over the universal terminal.[4][7]
Upgrade cards
The Quantum Bridge Card lets your terminal access your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and recharges it from your network. You put the card and one Quantum Entangled Singularity in the terminal, and the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. Chunks containing the network must stay loaded, and your network needs enough energy storage. The pack's quest a quest in "Applied Energistics 2" covers this card and comes after the Quantum Network Bridge and Wireless Terminals quests.[5][6]

How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work with other mods?
4 parts
Most of what this mod does with other mods is about terminals. Wireless terminals from other AE2 addons mostly work with the Wireless Universal Terminal, so you can fold them into one item instead of carrying a stack of terminals.[4]
Addon terminals you can combine
The pack has combine recipes that pair addon terminals with the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal and the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal from this mod. Here is which addon terminal each one uses.[10]
- The Wireless Quantum Crafter Terminal combines with both pattern terminals. These are mod recipes that the pack leaves as they are.[10]
- The Wireless Expanded Pattern Encoding Terminal combines with both pattern terminals. The pack changed both of these recipes.[10]
- The Wireless Extended Pattern Access Terminal combines with both pattern terminals. The pack changed both of these recipes.[10]
- The Wireless Requester Terminal combines with both pattern terminals. The pack changed both of these recipes.[10]
The Wireless Crafting Terminal also combines with both pattern terminals in the pack's recipes, which is how you start building a universal terminal from AE2's own terminals.[10]
Nexium Emitter
The pack adds its own recipe for the Nexium Emitter, and it needs a Wireless Universal Terminal. The other ingredients come from several different mods, so check the recipe below.[10]

The Wireless Universal Terminal is also a task in the quest book, in the chapter "Chapter 4: The ATM Star", in the quest a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star".[8]
Quantum Bridge Card
The Quantum Bridge Card ties this mod to AE2's quantum machinery. The quest book describes it as an alternate way to get wireless interdimensional access to your system. You need a Quantum Bridge at your base and the card in your terminal, then you bind the two with a Quantum Entangled Singularity. The quest a quest in "Applied Energistics 2" sits in the "Applied Energistics 2" chapter, after the Quantum Network Bridge and Wireless Terminals quests.[6]
Once it is linked, your terminal can reach the network from anywhere, even across dimensions, as long as the chunks containing the network are loaded. It also recharges from your network, so make sure the network has enough energy storage.[5]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
2 parts
Two quests in the pack involve this mod. One is in the Applied Energistics 2 chapter and the other is in Chapter 4: The ATM Star.[6][8]
Applied Energistics 2 chapter
Quest a quest in "Applied Energistics 2" asks you to obtain the Quantum Bridge Card. It unlocks after the quests named Quantum Network Bridge and Wireless Terminals, so finish both of those first.[6]
The quest text describes the card as an alternate way to get wireless interdimensional access to your Applied Energistics system. You need a Quantum Bridge connected at your base and a Quantum Bridge Card in your terminal. The two tunnels are then bound together with a Quantum Entangled Singularity, and you get access wherever you go.[6]
Chapter 4: The ATM Star
Quest a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star" asks you to obtain the Wireless Universal Terminal. The quest has no description text in the pack files, so there are no extra instructions or rewards to report.[8]
Unverified The sources don't show how the Chapter 4 quest connects to the Applied Energistics 2 chapter quests, or what its prerequisites are. The overall order between the two chapters is unconfirmed. The only order that is confirmed is that the Quantum Bridge Card quest comes after the Quantum Network Bridge and Wireless Terminals quests.
What changed in Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals between versions?
1 part
All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 ships with Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals 19.5.1, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0 or earlier. Here are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]
Mod changelog highlights
- 19.5.1 (the version in this pack): fixed S2C packets being registered as bidirectional.[2][13]
- 19.4.1: fixed a disconnect that happened when a restock resulted in empty stacks.[14]
- 19.3.0: added a setting that lets pick block request the item when it is not available.[15]
- 19.2.6: pickup was reworked so it fills up to a full stack, and pickup to ME is now always used for items being restocked, even if it wouldn't be available or enabled.[16]
- 19.2.6: Restock was improved. It now works on Create Depots and likely in many more clicking-on-block situations.[16]
- 19.2.6: the mod now mentions that its Wireless Terminals can be linked like the base AE2 Wireless Terminals, and Spain Spanish was added along with updates to the Mexican Spanish translation.[16]
- 19.2.5: fixed a bug where the singularity component caused issues when ae2wtlib was not present.[17]
- 19.2.5: fixed the wireless pattern access terminal hotkey not closing the terminal when used inside the terminal.[17]
Unverified No pack changelog entries for this mod were available, so whether any pack release changed its values or recipes is unverified.
