What is AdvancedAE?

2 parts

AdvancedAE is an AE2 addon built around convenience. It makes handling your ME system easier and adds more end-game options. This pack ships version 1.6.10 for Minecraft 1.21.1. It's for you once your ME network is up and running and you want better crafting, smarter automation and gear that plugs into your storage.[1][2][3]

What the mod adds

  • Advanced pattern providers: with the Advanced Pattern Encoder you choose which face of the target machine each ingredient is sent to. That means one block and no pipes or subnets, which the pack's quests tie to machines like Mekanism's Metallurgic Infuser.[1][4]
  • Quantum Computer: a special crafting unit that runs unlimited crafting jobs as long as it has crafting storage, and all those jobs share every co-processor. The Quantum Computer Core works alone with 256M storage and 8 co-processors. The Quantum Data Entangler multiplies storage by 4, and the Quantum Computer Multi-Threader multiplies co-processors by 4. Each Quantum Computer Accelerator adds 8 co-processing threads.[1][4]
  • Quantum Crafter: a powerful auto crafter that works straight from the ME system's inventory. It can do recursive crafts and crafts with non-consumed ingredients.[1]
  • Quantum Armor: an energy-powered set with defenses similar to Netherite. It can use energy as a shield, and you can link it to your storage system. Upgrade cards add things like flight, night vision and auto feeding. Wearing the full set also protects you from radiation in this pack.[1][4][5]
  • Reaction Chamber: a very power-hungry machine that processes materials efficiently and makes many of the items you need to progress in the mod.[1][4]

Where it fits in the pack

You'll find the mod's quests in the Extended & Advanced AE chapter. The pattern provider quest "Specific Sided Patterns: The Advanced Pattern Provider" quest and the Reaction Chamber quest "Reaction Efficiency: The Reaction Chamber" quest both come after the chapter's Advanced AE quest. The Reaction Chamber is also required for every Quantum recipe in the mod.[4]

After the Reaction Chamber, "Quantum Ingredients" quest covers the ingredients for the Quantum Computer, Crafter and Armor: Shattered Singularity, Quantum Alloy and Quantum Processor. The Quantum Computer quest "Infinite Crafting Jobs: The Quantum Computer" quest and the armor quest "ME System As Armor: The Quantum Armor" quest both unlock from there. The quest text for the computer says it needs a cuboid of at least 3x3x3, up to 7x7x7.[4]

AdvancedAE also touches the ATM Star path. Once you've finished the Reaction Chamber quest, the Chapter 4 quest a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star" for the Oblivion Shard accepts Shattered Singularity. A Quantum Entangled Singularity works too, or any mix of the two.[4][6]

Watch out: The Reaction Chamber uses a lot of power. The quest recommends good power generation and energy cells in your ME network before you start.[4]

Unverified The mod's project page describes a smaller maximum Quantum Computer size (5x5x5) than the pack's quest text (7x7x7). This guide follows the quest text, but the limit hasn't been confirmed in-game.

How do you get started with AdvancedAE?

5 parts

Advanced AE is an AE2 addon, so you'll want a working ME system before you start. In this pack, its progression lives in the Extended & Advanced AE quest chapter. The order below follows those quests, and the recipes shown are the exact ones in this pack.[1][4]

Build the Reaction Chamber

Start with the Reaction Chamber (quest "Reaction Efficiency: The Reaction Chamber" quest). The quest says this machine is required for the Quantum related recipes in Advanced AE.[4]

Watch out: The Reaction Chamber is power hungry. The quest recommends good power generation and energy cells in your ME network before you rely on it.[4]

Make the quantum ingredients

Quest "Quantum Ingredients" quest covers the base materials for the Quantum Computer, Crafter and Armor: Shattered Singularity, Quantum Alloy and Quantum Processor. The Shattered Singularity is produced by a chemical reaction in the Reaction Chamber, and it shows up in the recipes for the computer parts below.[4][7][8]

Start your Quantum Computer

The Quantum Computer is a crafting CPU that can run unlimited crafting jobs and share its co-processing threads between them, as long as it has storage available. Quest "Infinite Crafting Jobs: The Quantum Computer" quest starts you with Quantum Crafting Unit and Quantum Computer Structural Glass. The pack changed the Quantum Crafting Unit recipe from the mod's default.[4][8]

A multiblock must be a cuboid from 3x3x3 up to 7x7x7. It needs exactly one core, and its outside layer must be Structural Glass. Any empty space inside can be filled with Quantum Crafting Units.[4]

Add an accelerator, storage and the core

Each Quantum Computer Accelerator adds 8 co-processing threads, and every job shares them. The pack changed this recipe too. The storage blocks, 128M Quantum Computer Storage and 256M Quantum Computer Storage, increase your crafting storage. The quests also list them as required to make the Quantum Computer Core.[4][8]

The core alone has 256M of crafting storage and 8 co-processing threads. It can form a Quantum Computer by itself if you power it through the Up or Down sides, where the connectors are. See "Heart of the Crafts: Quantum Computer Core" quest.[4][9]

How does AdvancedAE work?

6 parts

AdvancedAE is built around making your ME system easier to use and giving end-game setups more room to grow. Its main ideas are pattern providers that push items into specific sides of a machine, and multiblock crafting computers that share co-processors between every job they run.[3]

Directional pattern providers

The Advanced Extended Pattern Provider upgrades a standard or extended pattern provider so you can choose which face each individual item in a pattern is pushed into. That lets one block automate machines that want specific inputs on specific sides, with no pipes. Mekanism is the example the guide jokes about.[12]

To set the faces, you use the Advanced Pattern Encoder. Right-click it to open its GUI, then put an encoded processing pattern in the left slot. It lists every raw ingredient, and each row has buttons for every block face. Leaving a row on the A button sends that ingredient to whatever face is directly connected to the provider. Picking a face forces items into that face.[7][10]

Watch out: Advanced patterns only decode properly in an advanced provider. In any other pattern provider they behave like a normal pattern. If even one item can't be inserted into its chosen face, nothing is inserted directionally and the standard pattern provider behaviour applies instead.[10]

The extended version of the provider holds up to 36 patterns. In this pack it is crafted with a recipe the pack changed, and two shapeless recipes convert it between its block form and its cable-part form.[8][12]

If you already have providers holding patterns, you don't need to move anything. The Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade works on regular AE pattern providers and ExtendedAE extended providers and keeps their current slot count, so you don't lose the materials you spent on extended providers. The Advanced Pattern Provider Capacity Upgrade turns a regular provider straight into an advanced one with 36 pattern slots.[7][13]

The Quantum Computer

The quantum computer is a special crafting computer. It can run an unlimited number of crafting requests as long as it has crafting storage left, and every job shares all of its co-processors. The whole multiblock uses a single channel.[1][9]

  • Quantum Core: provides 256M of crafting storage and 8 co-processor threads by itself. It is the only block that forms a working quantum computer on its own. When it runs standalone, power must come in through the Up or Down sides, where the connectors are.[7][9]
  • Quantum Storage: expands the core's crafting storage, which raises how many tasks can run at once. It comes in 128M and 256M variants.[9]
  • Quantum Data Entangler: multiplies the total storage in the multiblock by 4. You can place only one per multiblock.[9]
  • Quantum Accelerator: adds 8 co-processors to the multiblock. Because every pattern shares all co-processors, the guide suggests investing in plenty of these.[9]
  • Quantum Multi-Threader: multiplies the co-processing power of the accelerators by 4. Only one fits in each multiblock.[9]
  • Quantum Structure: the framing blocks that connect everything together. They form the outside layer of the multiblock.[7][9]

To build the multiblock, the guide gives these rules: the maximum external size is 7x7x7, and no empty spaces are allowed inside. Gaps can be filled with filler blocks that give no extra benefit. Every block on the outside layer must be a Quantum Structure, and you can use at most one Data Entangler and at most one Multi-Threader.[9]

Unverified The guide says several limits are server configs: maximum multiblock size, co-processors per accelerator, the multiplier values, and the maximum number of entanglers and multi-threaders. The mod's project page mentions a 5x5x5 multiblock, while the in-game guide says 7x7x7. No config files for this mod are available for this pack, so the limits this pack actually uses are unconfirmed. The tooltips on the items in-game show your instance's real limits.

In this pack, the Quantum Crafting Unit and Quantum Computer Accelerator both use recipes the pack changed. The accelerator needs a Shattered Singularity, which is produced by a chemical reaction in the Reaction Chamber.[7][8]

The pack changed this recipe from the mod's default.

Quantum Crafter

The Quantum Crafter is an auto-crafter with direct access to your ME inventory. It needs a cable connection and a single channel. You encode the recipes you want run indefinitely into crafting patterns and insert them into its slots. It also handles fluid substitution crafts and recursive crafts, where an input is also an output.[11]

Each pattern has a square button to enable or disable it. A cog button opens the pattern configuration, where you set how much of each ingredient to keep in the ME system and a maximum amount of the end product. Numbers can be typed as mathematical expressions, and you press enter to apply them. An output limit of 0 removes the limit, so crafting continues until the inputs run out.[7][11]

By default the crafter pushes its results straight into the ME system. Left-clicking the cell button on the left toolbar switches output to adjacent inventories instead. A second button then lets you choose which sides are allowed for auto-export.[7][11]

It accepts two kinds of upgrade card. One greatly speeds up crafting, up to 64 crafts of each pattern per tick. The other gives redstone control.[11]

The Quantum Crafter Terminal lets you manage all your crafters from one spot. The wireless version is linked by inserting it into a wireless access point.[14]

Buses for automation

The ME Import Export Bus combines an export bus and an import bus. Its filter sets what gets exported, and anything not on the filter is a valid stack to import.[15]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped

ME Import BusLogic ProcessorME Export Bus
Empty slotEmpty slotEmpty slot

Recipe id: advanced_ae:import_export_bus

The ME Stock Export Bus exports an exact amount of each filtered stack. It tracks what is already in the target inventory and won't insert above your number. Drag an item into the filter slot, then middle-click to set the amount. It does not regulate downward, so it won't pull extra items or fluids back out if the count goes over.[7][16]

The ME Advanced IO Bus is made by fusing the Import Export Bus and the Stock Export Bus, and it inherits what both can do. The guide says it takes some time to ramp up to speed but is very fast when fully upgraded. Export and import operations are counted separately, so the bus will not get stuck doing one or the other.[8][17]

The regulate setting changes how it imports. With regulate on, it first tries to import anything above the filtered amount, then imports whatever is not filtered. With it off, exported items are kept even if they're over the filter.[7][17]

Reaction Chamber and power

The Reaction Chamber speeds up chemical reactions using a catalyst fluid and a lot of power. Acceleration Cards raise the power needed per tick. If the ME system can't supply a full tick of power, you may see flickering as the chamber toggles on and off, and the screen shows a warning that it can't draw enough power for full-speed progress. Adding energy buffers to your AE system fixes the flicker, and so does using fewer acceleration cards.[7][18]

  • Full block pattern provider: connects the chamber directly to the AE2 grid so it can draw power when needed. If the grid's stored power is below the per-tick requirement, progress slows down. A few energy buffers on the grid are recommended.[18]
  • External power: any source that can push energy should fill the chamber's buffers. A warning appears if energy arrives too slowly.[18]
  • Induction Cards (needs Applied Flux): go in cable-part or directional pattern providers and export power stored in energy cells. They ramp up from a slow start, so crafting speed won't be maxed at first.[18]
Tip: Pattern providers or interfaces in part form don't give a grid connection. To power the chamber through them, you also need to connect a fluix cable directly to it. The chamber can also pull energy straight from Applied Flux energy cells in your drives.[18]

Quantum armor and monitoring

The quantum armor is an energy-powered suit with defenses comparable to Netherite by default. It uses its buffer for an energy shield, the boots negate fall damage, and the chestplate removes the mining penalty for flying. Pieces can be linked to your system individually, and the extra functions only work while you're in range of the connected access point.[5]

To install upgrades, equip the pieces and press the hotkey, N by default, to open the Quantum Armor Configuration Menu. There you can add or remove cards, toggle them and adjust their settings. The Quantum Upgrade Base Card doesn't do anything special on its own. The Auto Feeding Card and Auto Stock Card both need the piece linked to the grid and within range of the access point. The Flight Drift Card only works with the Flight Card installed.[5]

The ME Throughput Monitor works like a normal monitor but adds a throughput meter for a single item or fluid type, and it needs no channel. Right-click with an item, or double-right-click with a fluid container, to set it. An empty-hand right-click clears it, and shift-right-click locks it. The Throughput Monitor Configurator cycles the display between items per tick, per second and per minute. Readings can take a moment to stabilize after you change modes.[19]

How do you progress through AdvancedAE?

7 parts

Advanced AE is the endgame add-on for your ME system. In this pack its quests live in the Extended & Advanced AE chapter, and they split into two branches: the Quantum Computer line and the Quantum Armor line. Both start at the same machine, the Reaction Chamber.[3][4]

Tier 1: Reaction Chamber and quantum ingredients

"Reaction Efficiency: The Reaction Chamber" quest is your gate. The Reaction Chamber speeds up in-world reactions with a catalyst fluid and gets more material out of them. It is power hungry, so the quest recommends good power generation and energy cells in your ME network. Everything quantum-related in Advanced AE needs this machine.[4]

Next comes "Quantum Ingredients" quest, which covers Shattered Singularity, Quantum Alloy and Quantum Processor. Both the Shattered Singularity and the Quantum Alloy are Reaction Chamber recipes. For the alloy you first need Quantum Infusion, which the quest says comes from crushing a Shattered Singularity into dust in an Inscriber or a Mekanism Crusher.[4][8]

Tip: Shattered Singularities also count in the ATM Star chapter. The quest there says you can use either Shattered Singularities or Quantum Entangled Singularities for the Oblivion Shard, or any mix of the two.[6]

Tier 2: the Quantum Computer

"Infinite Crafting Jobs: The Quantum Computer" quest unlocks the Quantum Computer, a Crafting CPU that runs unlimited crafting jobs and shares co-processing threads between them, as long as it has storage left. As a multiblock it must be a cuboid from 3x3x3 up to 7x7x7. The pack changed the Quantum Crafting Unit recipe, so check the one below rather than relying on the mod's default.[4][8]

Tier 3: threads, storage and the core

"Co-Processing Oblivion: Quantum Computer Accelerator" quest introduces the Quantum Computer Accelerator, which adds 8 co-processing threads each. All running jobs share every thread, so build plenty of them. The pack changed this recipe.[4][8]

"Massive Crafting Storage: The Quantum Computer Storage" quest covers 128M Quantum Computer Storage and 256M Quantum Computer Storage. These expand crafting storage and are required to make a Quantum Computer Core.[4]

"Heart of the Crafts: Quantum Computer Core" quest gives you the Quantum Computer Core, which has 256M crafting storage and 8 co-processing threads on its own. It is the only block that can form a Quantum Computer by itself, powered through its Up or Down sides. Build it into a multiblock if you want a much stronger computer.[4]

Tier 4: Data Entangler, Multi-Threader and the ultimate build

Both of these quests follow the core quest and also a Crystal Assembler quest. Their recipes are Crystal Assembler recipes, and the pack changed both of them.[4][8]

Quantum Data EntanglerChanged by the pack

Crystal Assembler (extendedae)

Recipe id: advanced_ae:eaequantumdataentangler

"The Ultimate Quantum Computer" quest is the thread-maximizing build. It uses 218 Structural Glass, 123 Accelerators, 1 Core and 1 Multi-Threader for a total of 3968 co-processing threads. It skips extra storage because the core's 256M is considered plenty, and the Data Entangler quest is optional.[4]

Side step: the Quantum Crafter

"Fully Automated Crafting: The Quantum Crafter" quest comes after the Accelerator quest. The Quantum Crafter is a configurable auto-crafter with access to your whole ME inventory. It handles fluid substitutions and recursive crafts such as Smithing Template duplication, and you can set how much of each ingredient to keep and how much product to stock. It won't accept crafting requests from Pattern Providers.[4]

Quantum Armor branch

"ME System As Armor: The Quantum Armor" quest also follows the quantum ingredients quest. The Quantum Armor has default stats similar to Netherite and can use energy as a shield. Once linked to your storage system, it can pull energy and items out of the network wherever you are. Wearing the full set also prevents radiation from killing you. The same armor appears in the Basic Armor chapter as "Quantum Armor (AE2)" quest.[4][20]

"Upgrades for Quantum Armor" quest introduces the Quantum Upgrade Base Card, which the guide says does nothing alone but is an ingredient in the upgrade cards. Equip the armor and press N, the default keybind, to open the Quantum Armor Configuration Menu. There you can install and toggle upgrades and adjust their settings.[4][5]

Each card has its own quest, all branching from the upgrade quest. The quest labels give some numbers: Evasion Card +30% evasion, Jump Height Card up to +3 jump height, Step Assist Card up to +3 step height, Reach Card up to +5 reach, Strength Card +10 strength, Attack Speed Card +5 attack speed, HP Buffer Card +20 max HP and Luck Card +2 luck. The Flight Card gives creative flight, and the Flight Drift Card quest unlocks after it.[4]

The ME Recharging Card lets an armor piece charge from your ME system's energy when linked to a Wireless Access Point. In a Quantum Chestplate it also recharges items in your inventory.[4]

Tip: The pack changed the Magnet Card recipe, so use the recipe the site shows for Magnet Card instead of what you may remember from the mod.[8]

Pattern provider branch

"Specific Sided Patterns: The Advanced Pattern Provider" quest is a separate line from the Reaction Chamber and unlocks the Advanced Pattern Provider. It upgrades a standard or Extended Pattern Provider so you can choose which face of the target machine each ingredient is sent to, which suits machines like Mekanism's Metallurgic Infuser. You encode those faces with the Advanced Pattern Encoder. The pack changed both recipes below.[4][8][12]

"Automating the Potion Brewer" quest, in the Industrial Foregoing chapter, shows the provider in a real setup: automating the Potion Brewer. The quest has you send Glass Bottles to the top side and enable Filtered Import, which makes the provider only accept items that match currently active crafting jobs.[21]

How does AdvancedAE work with other mods?

5 parts

AdvancedAE is an AE2 addon, so many of its items are built from AE2 parts and plug into the rest of your ME setup. Below is how it connects to other mods in this pack, based on the in-pack recipes and quests.[1][8]

Applied Energistics 2 is the backbone

Most AdvancedAE items are built from AE2 parts such as processors, buses, glass, singularities and wireless gear. The Quantum Processor is a good example: it is made in an AE2 Inscriber, and ExtendedAE's Crystal Assembler has a second recipe for it. The pack also adds its own inscriber recipe for the Printed Quantum Circuit. The recipes are shown below.[8]

Printed Quantum CircuitAdded by the pack

Inscriber (ae2)

Recipe id: kubejs:inscriber/universal_press/printed_quantum_processor

This Printed Quantum Circuit recipe is added by the pack and runs through the Universal Press.

The bus line follows the same idea. The ME Import Export Bus and ME Stock Export Bus build on AE2 buses and processors. The ME Advanced IO Bus then combines the first two with a Quantum Processor and an AE2 Acceleration Card.[8]

The Reaction Chamber is built from AE2 machines. Its quest, in the "Extended & Advanced AE" chapter, says it is required for the Quantum-related recipes in AdvancedAE, and "Quantum Ingredients" quest comes right after it.[4][8]

ExtendedAE

The pack changed several recipes to require ExtendedAE parts. The Advanced Extended Pattern Provider starts from an ME Extended Pattern Provider, and the Advanced Pattern Provider Capacity Upgrade is made in ExtendedAE's Crystal Assembler. The Quantum Computer chain is changed too: the Quantum Crafting Unit, Quantum Computer Accelerator and Quantum Computer Multi-Threader all use the Concurrent Processor.[8]

Quantum Crafting UnitChanged by the pack

Crafting Shapeless

This recipe is changed by the pack.

The pack also changed the recipes for the Advanced Pattern Encoder, the smaller Advanced Pattern Provider, the Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade and the Throughput Monitor Configurator.[8]

The Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade works on regular AE2 Pattern Providers and on ExtendedAE's Extended Pattern Providers. It keeps their slot count, so you don't lose what you spent on extending them. The capacity upgrade turns a regular provider straight into an Advanced one with 36 pattern slots.[8][13]

Each Quantum Armor piece is made from the matching vanilla Netherite piece and also needs an AE2 ME Wireless Access Point. That fits the quest description of armor that can be linked to your storage system. The upgrade cards mix AE2 and vanilla items too, and the Water Breathing Card below is a good example.[4][8]

The Wireless Quantum Crafter Terminal has combine recipes with AE2's Wireless Crafting Terminal, the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal and the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal. Those recipes use the combine recipe type from AE2WTLib.[8]

Mekanism and Mystical Agriculture

The Advanced Pattern Provider quest uses Mekanism's Metallurgic Infuser as its example of a machine that needs specific inputs on specific sides. "Specific Sided Patterns: The Advanced Pattern Provider" quest explains that an Advanced Pattern Provider plus the Advanced Pattern Encoder lets one block do that job with no pipes. The Quantum Armor quest compares the set to the MekaSuit, since both can use energy as a shield. Mekanism's Crusher is also named as an alternative to the Inscriber for crushing the Shattered Singularity.[4][12]

The mod's project page says the Quantum Crafter can handle crafts that need a non-consumed ingredient, such as Mystical Agriculture's essence upgrading.[1]

A pack-only crossover

The pack adds a recipe that ties AdvancedAE to several other mods and ends in the Oblivion Shard. The recipe is shown below.[8]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use AdvancedAE?

4 parts

Advanced AE shows up in four quest chapters in this pack. Most of it is in Extended & Advanced AE, where the Quantum Computer and Quantum Armor lines live. The rest are one Quantum Armor entry in Basic Armor, one Shattered Singularity entry on the ATM Star chapter, and one potion automation quest in Industrial Foregoing.[4][6][20][21]

Extended & Advanced AE: the starting point

Both main branches begin after the chapter's Advanced AE quest. One branch is "Reaction Efficiency: The Reaction Chamber" quest, which asks for the Reaction Chamber. The other is "Specific Sided Patterns: The Advanced Pattern Provider" quest, which asks for an item plus the Advanced Pattern Encoder. It covers the ME Advanced Pattern Provider, which lets you pick the face of a machine that each pattern ingredient is sent to. The quest uses the Mekanism Metallurgic Infuser as its example.[4]

Tip: The Reaction Chamber is very power hungry, so the quest recommends good power generation and energy cells in your ME network. It is also required for the Quantum-related recipes in Advanced AE.[4]

The Quantum Computer path

  1. "Reaction Efficiency: The Reaction Chamber" quest: get the Reaction Chamber first, since the rest of the line depends on it.[4]
  2. "Quantum Ingredients" quest: its tasks are Shattered Singularity, Quantum Alloy and Quantum Processor. The quest says you need these for the Quantum Computer, Crafter and Armor.[4]
  3. "Infinite Crafting Jobs: The Quantum Computer" quest: submit Quantum Crafting Unit and Quantum Computer Structural Glass. The Quantum Computer is a cuboid from 3x3x3 up to 7x7x7, with Structural Glass on the outside layer.[4]
  4. "Co-Processing Oblivion: Quantum Computer Accelerator" quest and "Massive Crafting Storage: The Quantum Computer Storage" quest: both unlock after the computer quest. The first asks for the Quantum Computer Accelerator, which adds 8 co-processing threads each. The second asks for 128M Quantum Computer Storage and 256M Quantum Computer Storage.[4]
  5. "Fully Automated Crafting: The Quantum Crafter" quest: after the Accelerator quest, craft the Quantum Crafter, an auto-crafter.[4]
  6. "Heart of the Crafts: Quantum Computer Core" quest: needs both the Accelerator and Storage quests done. The Quantum Computer Core has 256M crafting storage and 8 co-processing threads by itself.[4]
  7. "Unnecessarily Large Storage: Quantum Data Entangler" quest and "Co-Processing To Infinity: Quantum Computer Multi-Threader" quest: both follow the Core quest and the chapter's Complex Crafter: The Crystal Assembler quest. They ask for the Quantum Data Entangler, which multiplies crafting storage by 4, and the Quantum Computer Multi-Threader, which multiplies co-processing threads by 4. You can only have one of each in a multiblock.[4]
  8. "The Ultimate Quantum Computer" quest: unlocks after the Multi-Threader quest. It is a thread-focused build with 218 Structural Glass, 123 Accelerators, 1 Core and 1 Multi-Threader, for a total of 3,968 co-processing threads. The Data Entangler quest is optional for this build.[4]
Watch out: The Quantum Crafter won't accept crafting requests from Pattern Providers, so don't plan your automation around that.[4]

The Quantum Armor path

Also after Quantum Ingredients, "ME System As Armor: The Quantum Armor" quest is the armor quest, with Quantum Helmet, Quantum Chestplate, Quantum Leggings and Quantum Boots as its tasks. Next comes "Upgrades for Quantum Armor" quest, whose task is the Quantum Upgrade Base Card. It also tells you the armor's configuration menu opens with N by default.[4]

After that, every upgrade card has its own untitled quest hanging off the upgrades quest. Where a quest shows a hint, it is listed here:[4]

Other chapters

Basic Armor has "Quantum Armor (AE2)" quest, which asks for the same four Quantum Armor pieces. It has no prerequisite quest listed.[4][20]

On the ATM Star chapter, a quest for the Oblivion Shard comes after the Reaction Chamber quest and Hyper-Condensed Matter (a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star"). It accepts either Shattered Singularity or the AE2 Quantum Entangled Singularity, or any mix of the two.[6]

In Industrial Foregoing, "Automating the Potion Brewer" quest uses the Advanced Pattern Encoder and an Advanced Pattern Provider to automate the Potion Brewer with AE2. It sends Glass Bottles to the top side and turns on Filtered Import. For the provider basics it points you back to the Extended & Advanced AE chapter.[21]

All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 ships AdvancedAE 1.6.10-1.21.1. The mod has been in the pack since 1.0 or earlier. The notes below come from the mod's own changelogs, newest first, and cover only the releases I have changelogs for. Because the pack is on 1.6.10, every change listed here is already in your game.[2]

Recent releases

  • 1.6.10: Fixed the auto stock menu not being able to change the amounts of items that were already in it.[22]
  • 1.6.9: Added extra client side checks for player events.[23]
  • 1.6.7: Added IngredientStack, an ingredient that can hold items or fluids and their amount.[24]
  • 1.5.3: Added new translations and fixed the Regulate Button tooltip.[25]

The 1.4 releases

  • 1.4.6: Fixed desync issues with recharging and the magnet. The Throughput Monitor also shows more precision when the displayed value is under 10.[26]
  • 1.4.5: Increased the Throughput Monitor precision for slowly changing items, and fixed an issue in the translated guides.[27]
  • 1.4.3: Fixed the quantum crafter losing its pattern configuration when its inventory changed.[28]
  • 1.4.0: You can now color your Quantum Armor.[29]

The armor coloring in 1.4.0 is the biggest change in these notes. You open it from the style config button in the top right corner of the quantum armor config screen. There you can pick a color with the color picker or type a hex code, and you can color all the pieces the same or give each piece its own color. The armor inventory slots also moved to the other side of the screen so tooltips don't cover the content.[29]

The same release fixed some quantum armor screen widgets disappearing when you resized the window, and sliders on that screen not working correctly when dragged. It also fixed a bug where the mod would crash a server instance on load.[29]

Earlier

  • 1.2.5: Updated to the latest AE2.[30]
