What is Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
2 parts
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals (ae2wtlib) is an addon for AE2 that adds wireless versions of several terminals. Once you have an ME network running, you don't have to walk back to it every time you need something. This pack ships version 19.5.1.[1][2]
What you get
- The Wireless Crafting Terminal is a wireless version of the crafting terminal. It adds automatic restocking from your ME network and lets Pick Block pull items from the network.[3]
- There are also wireless versions of the Pattern Encoding Terminal and the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal.[4]
- The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item. It adds a button to the UI that cycles between them, and each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots.[4][5]
- The Quantum Bridge Card is an upgrade card that links a wireless terminal to a Quantum Bridge. The terminal then works from anywhere, even across dimensions, and recharges from your network.[1][6]
Where it fits in the pack
The pack's ae2 quest chapter covers this mod. One quest asks you to get the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal and the Wireless Universal Terminal ("The Universal Wireless Terminal" quest). Another asks for the Quantum Bridge Card ("Infinite Wireless Access" quest).[7]
How do you get started with Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
3 parts
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals (ae2wtlib) is an AE2 addon that adds wireless versions of several terminals. It also adds a Quantum Bridge Card, which lets those terminals work from anywhere, even across dimensions. Here is the order I'd tackle things in this pack.[1][6]
Your first items, in order
- Make the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal. The pack's AE2 quest chapter has a quest for it, and the same quest also asks for the Wireless Universal Terminal. That makes these two a good first target. See "The Universal Wireless Terminal" quest.[7][8]
- Make the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal. The pack has two recipes for it: a full crafting recipe and an upgrade recipe. Both are shown below.[8]
- Combine your terminals into the Wireless Universal Terminal. A button in the UI cycles between the installed terminals, left-click for the next and right-click for the last. Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the terminals' energy storage adds together.[4][5]
- Craft the Quantum Bridge Card for unlimited range. It has its own quest: "Infinite Wireless Access" quest.[6][7][8]

Why the Quantum Bridge Card matters
Put the card and a singularity in your wireless terminal, then put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. Your terminal is then Quantum Linked. It can reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, as long as the chunks holding the network are loaded. It also recharges from your network, so make sure the network has enough energy storage.[6]

Optional: the Magnet Card
The Magnet Card is an upgrade for the Wireless Crafting Terminal. It picks up items from a larger range and can send them straight into your ME System instead of your inventory. Pickup and insertion can be toggled and filtered separately. The mod's default pickup range is 16, and it is configurable. The pack has changed this recipe from the mod's default, so use the recipe below rather than any other guide.[3][8][10][11]

How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
This section covers how the wireless terminals behave once you have them: how the Wireless Universal Terminal stacks terminals, how a quantum link lets a terminal reach your network from anywhere, and what restocking and the magnet do.[12][13][14][15][16]
Universal terminal and upgrades
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item. It adds a button to the terminal screen: left-click cycles to the next terminal and right-click goes back to the previous one.[13][17]
- Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the universal terminal accepts the same upgrades as the terminals inside it.[13]
- Adding terminals combines their energy storage, so a universal terminal with two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[13]
- The Wireless Crafting Terminal accepts these upgrades: one that increases battery capacity, the Quantum Bridge Card for unlimited range and automatic charging, and the Magnet Card for magnet functionality.[17][18]
Like AE2's own wireless terminal, these can be opened with a keybind and placed in a curio slot, if a mod implementing the curio API is installed. They can also be linked to a network like a normal wireless terminal.[12]
Quantum linking
The Quantum Bridge Card is an upgrade card that lets a wireless terminal link to a Quantum Bridge. Put the card and one singularity in your terminal, and put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network.[14]
Your terminal is then quantum linked. It can reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, as long as the chunks holding the network stay loaded. It also recharges automatically from your network, so make sure the network has enough energy storage.[14]

Restocking and Pick Block
With Restock enabled, your terminal tries to replace items you use with items from the ME System. You can toggle it in the GUI or with a keybind.[15][17]
It keeps the stack you are using at its maximum size, 64 for most items. Missing items are taken from the ME System, and excess items go back into it if you pick up more. Your hotbar count also shows the network total plus what is actually in the hotbar.[15]
- It will not restock a stack that holds a single item before it is used.[15]
- It only works while you are in range of an access point, or if the terminal is quantum linked.[15]
- In creative mode it is disabled automatically.[15]
- It handles placing blocks, eating food and shooting a bow. Actions from other mods may not be recognised, so those items won't be restocked.[15]
The mod also improves Pick Block. If the item isn't in your inventory, it is drawn from the ME Network, and it will try to store items if your current slot happens to be full. There is also a keybind to stow the stack in your hand into the ME System.[17][18]
Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to the Wireless Crafting Terminal, and a keybind turns it on or off. It does two things: it picks up items in a larger range, and it sends picked up items into the ME System instead of your inventory.[16][17]
Both behaviours can be toggled separately and each has its own filter, a pickup filter and an insert filter. Either filter can be set to blacklist or whitelist mode. The GUI shows the states Pickup to Inventory, Pickup to ME, Magnet Off with Pickup to ME, and Off.[16][17]
Unverified The mod's own guide says the magnet pickup range is configurable with a default of 16. That value would be set in the mod's config, but the sources here include no config file for this mod, so the range this pack uses is unverified.
The pack changed the Magnet Card recipe from the mod's own, so use this one:[19]

Pattern terminals
The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal and the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal are wireless versions of the matching ME terminals, and each has its own keybind to open it. The pack uses the mod's own recipes for both.[12][17][19]

How do you progress through Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
3 parts
The path for wireless terminals in this pack runs from individual wireless terminals, to merging them into one Wireless Universal Terminal, to adding upgrade cards that extend what it can do. Here it is step by step.[4][5][6]
Step 1: The individual terminals
The Wireless Pattern Access Terminal is the wireless version of the ME Pattern Access Terminal. In this pack it uses the mod's own recipe.[4][8]

Recipe id: ae2wtlib:pattern_access/wireless_pattern_access_terminal
The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal is the wireless version of the pattern encoding terminal. It has two recipes: a standard crafting one, and a shapeless upgrade recipe. Both are the mod's own recipes.[4][8]

Step 2: The Wireless Universal Terminal
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item. A button in its UI cycles through the installed terminals, with left-click going to the next and right-click to the previous.[4][5]
- Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the universal terminal accepts the same upgrades as the terminals inside it.[5]
- Adding terminals combines their energy storage. A universal terminal with two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[5]
The pack's quest "The Universal Wireless Terminal" quest in the ae2 chapter asks you to obtain both the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal and the Wireless Universal Terminal. It unlocks after another quest in that chapter.[7]
Step 3: Upgrade cards
The Quantum Bridge Card is the big one. Put it in your wireless terminal along with a singularity, and put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. Your terminal is then quantum linked: it can reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and it recharges from the network.[6]

Recipe id: ae2wtlib:quantum_bridge_card
The pack has a quest for this card too: "Infinite Wireless Access" quest, which asks you to obtain the Quantum Bridge Card. It comes after a different quest in the ae2 chapter than the terminals quest does.[7]
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to your terminal that you can toggle or filter in the GUI, and there is also a keybinding to turn it on or off. It picks up items in a larger range (the mod's default is 16, and it is configurable) and places picked-up items into your ME system instead of your inventory. Pickup and insertion can be toggled and filtered separately, and each filter can be a whitelist or a blacklist.[10]
The pack changed the Magnet Card recipe from the mod's default, so use the recipe below rather than anything you remember from other packs.[8]

How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work with other mods?
3 parts
This mod is an add-on for Applied Energistics 2, so most of its connections run through AE2 itself. It also hooks into a few other AE2 add-ons in this pack. Here is what the recipes and quests show.[1][8]
Built from base AE2 parts
The Wireless Pattern Access Terminal is the wireless version of the AE2 ME Pattern Access Terminal. Its crafting recipe uses the wired AE2 terminal as a base.[4][8]

The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal is the wireless version of the AE2 ME Pattern Encoding Terminal. It has two recipes, and both are shown below.[4][8]

Upgrade cards that lean on AE2 machines
The Quantum Bridge Card is made from AE2's quantum parts. It links your wireless terminals to a Quantum Bridge, so they work from anywhere, even across dimensions, as long as the chunks holding your network are loaded. A linked terminal also recharges from your network, so make sure the network has enough energy storage.[6][8]

The pack has a quest for this card, "Infinite Wireless Access" quest, in the AE2 chapter.[7]
The Magnet Card has an ME Annihilation Plane in its recipe, and the pack changed that recipe from the mod's version. The card adds a magnet to your terminal that can pick up items from a larger range and insert them into your ME system instead of your inventory.[8][10]

Combining terminals from other add-ons
The Wireless Universal Terminal merges several wireless terminals into one item. Most wireless terminals from other add-ons work in it too. Your AE2 Wireless Crafting Terminal can be combined with the wireless pattern terminals, and the pack has a quest for the universal terminal, "The Universal Wireless Terminal" quest.[4][5][7][8]

Terminals from other add-ons can be combined too, each with its own combine recipes shown below. Advanced AE adds the Wireless Quantum Crafter Terminal. ExtendedAE adds the Wireless Extended Pattern Access Terminal. ME Requester adds the Wireless Requester Terminal.[8]
- Advanced AE: the combine recipes for the access and encoding terminals are the mod's own recipes, not changed by the pack.[8]
- ExtendedAE: both combine recipes are changed by the pack.[8]

Which FTB Skies 2 quests use Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
2 parts
This mod shows up in one quest chapter, the "ae2" chapter. It has two quests that ask for items from this mod. Both quests are untitled in the pack files, so you will find them by their tasks rather than by name.[7]
What the quests ask for
- "The Universal Wireless Terminal" quest has two item tasks: the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal and the Wireless Universal Terminal. It unlocks after another quest in the chapter.[7]
- "Infinite Wireless Access" quest has one item task: the Quantum Bridge Card. It also unlocks after a different quest in the chapter.[7]
In what order
Each of these two quests has its own prerequisite quest, and neither one lists the other as a prerequisite. So the quest data doesn't give a fixed order between them. What it does show is that each one only opens after its own earlier quest in the chapter is done.[7]
Unverified The pack data doesn't say what the prerequisite quests ask for, or whether the quests give rewards. Check them in-game before you plan around them.
Which Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals config options matter?
Only a couple of options for this mod are confirmed for the pack, one in the main config and one in the client config. Here is how the pack sets each of them.[20][21]
- magnet_card_range is set to 16 in the main config file.[21]
- always_show_terminal_selector is set to false in the client config file.[20]
What changed in Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals between versions?
1 part
FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 ships Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals 19.5.1, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0.1 or earlier. I don't have any pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own release notes.[2]
Mod releases, newest first
- 19.5.1 (the version in the pack): fixed S2C packets being registered as bidirectional.[2][22]
- 19.5.0: added buttons to switch to terminals directly, and fixed a disconnect that could happen when a restock results in empty stacks.[23]
- 19.4.1: the first fix for the disconnect when a restock results in empty stacks.[24]
- 19.3.0: added a setting for pick block to request the item when it isn't available.[25]
- 19.2.6: pickup was reworked so it fills up to a full stack, and items being restocked always use pickup to ME, even if it wouldn't normally be available or enabled.[26]
- 19.2.6 also improved Restock: it now works on Create Depots and likely in many more situations where you click on a block. The release also added a note that ae2wtlib's Wireless Terminals can be linked like AE2's Wireless Terminals, plus Spain Spanish and updated Mexican Spanish translations.[26]
- 19.2.5: fixed a bug where the singularity component caused issues when ae2wtlib is not present, and fixed the wireless pattern access terminal hotkey not closing the terminal when used inside it.[27]
- 19.2.3: WTDefinitionBuilder can now automatically retrieve translation keys for a given item. This mainly matters to people writing addons.[28]
The takeaway for you: the pack's 19.5.1 version includes all of the above, including the restock fixes and the direct terminal-switching buttons.[2][22][23][24]
