What is Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
2 parts
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals (ae2wtlib) is an addon for AE2 that gives you wireless versions of several AE2 terminals. The pack ships version 19.5.1. If you already run an ME network and are tired of walking back to base to grab or craft things, this mod is for you.[1][2]
You get wireless versions of the crafting terminal, the pattern encoding terminal and the pattern access terminal. You can also combine them into one Wireless Universal Terminal, which has a button to cycle between the terminals inside it.[3][4]
The Wireless Crafting Terminal adds more than just remote crafting. It can automatically restock items from your ME network, and Pick Block will draw items from the network if they are not in your inventory.[5]
Going beyond access point range
The big upgrade is the Quantum Bridge Card. Put it in your wireless terminal together with a singularity, and put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. The terminal can then reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and it recharges from the network. The chunks holding the network must be loaded, and your network needs enough energy storage.[6]
Where it fits in the pack
In this pack's logistics storage quest chapter, the quest "Infinite Wireless Access" quest has the Quantum Bridge Card as its task. That makes it the clearest sign of where the mod sits in your storage progression: it comes once your AE2 network is up and you want it to follow you around.[8]
The Wireless Universal Terminal is worth planning for. Each terminal installed in it adds 2 upgrade slots, and the terminals' energy storage is combined.[4]
How do you get started with Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
5 parts
Wireless terminals let you use your ME network away from your base. Here is the order I would tackle them in this pack, starting with the basics and finishing with the upgrades that make them really shine.[1]
Start with the Wireless Crafting Terminal
The Wireless Crafting Terminal is a wireless version of the crafting terminal. AE2WTLib adds automatic restocking from your ME network, and Pick Block can draw items from the network if they are not in your inventory.[5]
Restock keeps the stack you are using at its max size, so 64 for most items. You can switch it on in the GUI or with a keybind. It will not restock a stack that holds a single item before it has been used, and it only works while you are in range of an access point or your terminal is quantum linked.[7]
Add the pattern terminals
Once you start automating, the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal and the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal are the next step. Each one is a wireless version of its AE2 counterpart. The pack gives you two ways to get the encoding terminal: build it from scratch, or upgrade a Wireless Crafting Terminal you already have.[3][9]

Combine them in a Wireless Universal Terminal
The Wireless Universal Terminal merges several AE2WTLib terminals into one item. A button in the UI cycles between them with left click and right click. AE2's own wireless terminal cannot be combined into it. Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots and combines its energy storage with the others.[4]
Grab the Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds magnet functionality to your Wireless Crafting Terminal. It picks up items in a larger range and can place them in your ME system instead of your inventory. Both can be toggled and filtered separately, and there is a keybinding to turn the magnet on or off.[5][10]
The pack has changed this recipe compared to the mod's version, so do not rely on what you have seen in other packs.[9]

Go unlimited with the Quantum Bridge Card
The Quantum Bridge Card removes the range limit. Put the card and a singularity in your wireless terminal, and put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. Your terminal is then quantum linked: it can access your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and it recharges from your network.[6][11]
The quest book has a quest for this card in the logistics storage chapter, "Infinite Wireless Access" quest, which comes after another quest in that chapter.[8]

How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
This section covers how the wireless terminals behave once you have them: how the Wireless Universal Terminal stacks terminals, how a quantum link lets a terminal reach your network from anywhere, and what restocking and the magnet do.[12][13][14][15][16]
Universal terminal and upgrades
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item. It adds a button to the terminal screen: left-click cycles to the next terminal and right-click goes back to the previous one.[13][17]
- Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the universal terminal accepts the same upgrades as the terminals inside it.[13]
- Adding terminals combines their energy storage, so a universal terminal with two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[13]
- The Wireless Crafting Terminal accepts these upgrades: one that increases battery capacity, the Quantum Bridge Card for unlimited range and automatic charging, and the Magnet Card for magnet functionality.[17][18]
Like AE2's own wireless terminal, these can be opened with a keybind and placed in a curio slot, if a mod implementing the curio API is installed. They can also be linked to a network like a normal wireless terminal.[12]
Quantum linking
The Quantum Bridge Card is an upgrade card that lets a wireless terminal link to a Quantum Bridge. Put the card and one singularity in your terminal, and put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network.[14]
Your terminal is then quantum linked. It can reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, as long as the chunks holding the network stay loaded. It also recharges automatically from your network, so make sure the network has enough energy storage.[14]

Restocking and Pick Block
With Restock enabled, your terminal tries to replace items you use with items from the ME System. You can toggle it in the GUI or with a keybind.[15][17]
It keeps the stack you are using at its maximum size, 64 for most items. Missing items are taken from the ME System, and excess items go back into it if you pick up more. Your hotbar count also shows the network total plus what is actually in the hotbar.[15]
- It will not restock a stack that holds a single item before it is used.[15]
- It only works while you are in range of an access point, or if the terminal is quantum linked.[15]
- In creative mode it is disabled automatically.[15]
- It handles placing blocks, eating food and shooting a bow. Actions from other mods may not be recognised, so those items won't be restocked.[15]
The mod also improves Pick Block. If the item isn't in your inventory, it is drawn from the ME Network, and it will try to store items if your current slot happens to be full. There is also a keybind to stow the stack in your hand into the ME System.[17][18]
Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to the Wireless Crafting Terminal, and a keybind turns it on or off. It does two things: it picks up items in a larger range, and it sends picked up items into the ME System instead of your inventory.[16][17]
Both behaviours can be toggled separately and each has its own filter, a pickup filter and an insert filter. Either filter can be set to blacklist or whitelist mode. The GUI shows the states Pickup to Inventory, Pickup to ME, Magnet Off with Pickup to ME, and Off.[16][17]
Unverified The mod's own guide says the magnet pickup range is configurable with a default of 16. That value would be set in the mod's config, but the sources here include no config file for this mod, so the range this pack uses is unverified.
The pack changed the Magnet Card recipe from the mod's own, so use this one:[19]

Pattern terminals
The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal and the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal are wireless versions of the matching ME terminals, and each has its own keybind to open it. The pack uses the mod's own recipes for both.[12][17][19]

How do you progress through Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
4 parts
Progression with these wireless terminals is less a strict tier list and more a ladder: you pick the terminals you want, add upgrade cards to them, and can merge several into one item. Here is how each rung works in this pack.[3][4][5]
The terminals
- Wireless Crafting Terminal: the wireless version of the crafting terminal. It adds automatic restocking from your ME network and lets Pick Block pull items from the network when they are not in your inventory.[5]
- Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal: the wireless version of the ME Pattern Encoding Terminal. The pack has two recipes for it, a full crafting recipe and a shapeless upgrade recipe.[3][9]
- Wireless Pattern Access Terminal: the wireless version of the ME Pattern Access Terminal.[3][9]
- Wireless Universal Terminal: combines several wireless terminals into one item, with a button in the UI to cycle between them. Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the energy storage adds up, so two terminals give twice the storage of a single one.[4]

Upgrade cards
The Wireless Crafting Terminal accepts upgrades for more battery capacity, for unlimited range with automatic charging (the quantum link), and for magnet functionality.[5]
Quantum Bridge Card
The Quantum Bridge Card links your wireless terminal to a Quantum Bridge. Put the card and a singularity in the terminal, and put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. The terminal can then reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and recharges from the network.[6]

This is the mod's recipe, unchanged by the pack.
The pack's quests cover this card too: quest "Infinite Wireless Access" quest in the logistics and storage chapter asks you to get a Quantum Bridge Card, and it unlocks after another quest in that chapter.[8]
Once your terminal is quantum linked, restocking works without an access point nearby. Without the link, restocking only works while you are in range of an access point.[7]
Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to your terminal. It picks up items from a larger range and puts them straight into your ME system instead of your inventory. You can toggle both behaviours separately and give each its own filter, in whitelist or blacklist mode.[10]
The pack changes this card's recipe from the mod's default, so use the recipe below rather than any recipe you remember from another pack.[9]

How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work with other mods?
3 parts
Wireless Terminals is an addon for AE2, so its links to other mods are mostly AE2 parts, plus a handful of recipes that combine its terminals with terminals from other AE2 addons.[1][9]
Terminals built on AE2 parts
The Wireless Pattern Access Terminal is built on AE2's ME Pattern Access Terminal, and the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal is built on the ME Pattern Encoding Terminal. Here is the access version:[9]

If you already own an Wireless Crafting Terminal, there is also a shapeless upgrade route to the wireless pattern encoding terminal, which uses an Engineering Processor.[9]

Upgrade cards
The Quantum Bridge Card links your wireless terminal to a Quantum Bridge on your network, so the terminal can reach the network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and recharge from it. The chunks holding the network still need to be loaded. In the recipe below, look for AE2's ME Quantum Link Chamber and ME Quantum Ring.[6][9]

The pack's quest book has a quest for this card, "Infinite Wireless Access" quest, in the logistics and storage chapter. Its task is to obtain the Quantum Bridge Card, and it unlocks after another quest in that chapter.[8]
The Magnet Card makes your terminal pick up items from a larger range and place them into the ME system instead of your inventory. Its recipe is changed by this pack, so check the recipe below rather than relying on the mod's default. You will spot AE2's ME Annihilation Plane and Advanced Card in it.[9][10]

Combining terminals from other addons
The Wireless Universal Terminal merges several wireless terminals into one item, and each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots. Most wireless terminals from other addons work in it too, and this pack has combine recipes for several of them.[3][4][9]
- AE2 itself: the Wireless Crafting Terminal has combine recipes with both the wireless pattern access terminal and the wireless pattern encoding terminal.[9]
- Advanced AE: the Wireless Quantum Crafter Terminal has combine recipes with both the wireless pattern access terminal and the wireless pattern encoding terminal.[9]
- ExtendedAE: the Wireless Extended Pattern Access Terminal combines with both the wireless pattern access terminal and the wireless pattern encoding terminal. The pack changed both of these recipes.[9]
- ME Requester: the Wireless Requester Terminal combines with both the wireless pattern access terminal and the wireless pattern encoding terminal. The pack changed both of these recipes too.[9]
Which FTB StoneBlock 4 quests use Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
This mod shows up in just one quest in the pack, and it lives in the logistics storage chapter of the quest book.[8]
The quest "Infinite Wireless Access" quest has no title in the quest book. Its single task is an item task for the Quantum Bridge Card.[8]
It isn't the first step in that chapter. It unlocks only after you finish another quest, so clear that prerequisite first.[8]
What changed in Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals between versions?
1 part
FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 ships Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals 19.5.1, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier. Here are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first, up to the version you're playing.[2]
Mod changelog highlights
- 19.5.1 (the version in this pack): fixed server-to-client packets being registered as bidirectional.[2][20]
- 19.5.0: added buttons to switch to other terminals directly.[21]
- 19.5.0: fixed a disconnect that happened when restocking resulted in empty stacks. The same fix is also listed under 19.4.1.[21][22]
- 19.3.0: added a setting that lets pick block request the item when it isn't available.[23]
- 19.2.6: reworked pickup so it fills up to a full stack, and pickup to ME is now always used for items being restocked, even if it wouldn't otherwise be available or enabled.[24]
- 19.2.6: Restock improved. It now works on Create Depots, and likely in many more situations where you click on a block.[24]
- 19.2.6: the mod now mentions that its Wireless Terminals can be linked like the base AE2 Wireless Terminals, and a Spain Spanish translation was added along with updates to the Mexican Spanish one.[24]
If you use Restock a lot, the 19.2.6 rework and the two empty-stack disconnect fixes are the changes you're most likely to notice.[21][22][24]
