What is AllTheTweaks?
2 parts
The pack ships AllTheTweaks version 2.9.2 (the jar is built for Minecraft 1.21.1), and it has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier. Its items are the ones the quest book asks you to collect on the way to the ATM Star.[1]
The sources here include no general description of the mod, so this overview sticks to what the pack's quest book shows. The chapter "The ATM Star" asks you to obtain a series of items from this mod, and that chapter has a quest for the ATM Star itself ("ATM Star" quest).[2]
The items in the ATM Star chapter
- The three miniature portals, Miniature Nether Portal, Miniature End Portal and Miniature Exit Portal, each come after the Apothic Mods quest. Their quests (a quest in "The ATM Star", a quest in "The ATM Star" and a quest in "The ATM Star") point you at Apotheosis shelves and Infused Dragon's Breath.[2]
- The Dimensional Seed quest ("Dimensional Seed" quest) lists those three portal quests among the quests that come before it.[2]
- Other items with their own quests in the chapter are the Pulsating Black Hole, Improbable Probability Device, Wither's Compass, Dragon Soul, Oblivion Shard and Nexium Emitter.[2]
- Patrick Star has its own quest in the chapter ("Patrick Star" quest).[2]
Remaking the star
The Creative chapter also has a quest for the ATM Star item, called "Fully Automated ATM Star" ("Fully Automated ATM Star" quest). Before it comes the ATM Star Shard quest ("Star Shards" quest), whose text says you can then start making the different parts to remake the stars. The Infused Patrick Star quest ("Infused Patrick Star" quest) is another of its prerequisites. Its text says the Infused Patrick Star and the Patrick Star it needs are both made via a Runic Star Altar.[3]
How do you get started with AllTheTweaks?
5 parts
Everything in AllTheTweaks builds toward one item: the ATM Star. Its quest says that creating it means you have beaten the pack. The ATM Star recipe is a Create mechanical crafting recipe that needs a whole set of components from this mod, so the smart way to start is to work backwards from that goal.[2][4]
First: the three Miniature Portals
Your first crafts are Miniature Nether Portal, Miniature End Portal and Miniature Exit Portal. The quests for all three come after Apothic Mods and revolve around Apotheosis shelves, so each quest's notes are worth a read. You make them first because the Dimensional Seed needs all three. You can't walk through them, by the way.[2][4]

The remaining components
The ATM Star quest lists several more parts. Each one has its own quest and a recipe added by this pack, and the recipes pull in items from many other mods.[2][4]
- Dragon Soul, quest "Dragon Soul" quest[2][4]
- Wither's Compass, quest "Wither's Compass" quest[2][4]
- Improbable Probability Device, quest "Improbable Probability Device" quest[2][4]
- Nexium Emitter, quest "Nexium Emitter" quest[2][4]
- Oblivion Shard, quest "Oblivion Shard" quest[2][4]
- Philosopher's Fuel, quest "Philosopher's Fuel" quest[2][4]
- Pulsating Black Hole, quest "Pulsating Black Hole" quest[2][4]
Finally: the ATM Star
Once you have all the parts, craft the star itself. Besides the AllTheTweaks components, the recipe takes items from other mods too, so check what it needs before you start gathering. See "ATM Star" quest.[2][4]

How does AllTheTweaks work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide
Here's the honest picture for this one: the data I have for AllTheTweaks covers its config file and its recipes, and nothing about machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation. The mod's items in this pack look like crafted materials and utility items, but I can't confirm any machine-style behaviour, so I won't make any up.[5][6]
Pack mode setting
The one real system the sources show is the pack mode option, packmode.enable. The mod's default is 0, the allowed range is 0 to 8, and this pack changed it to 8. The comment in the file lists the modes as ATM = 0, SLOP = 1, SKY = 2, MAGIC = 3, EXPERT = 4, GRAVITAS = 5, LITE = 6, AOA = 7 and MON = 8, so the pack's value matches the last entry.[5]
What each mode actually changes in gameplay isn't explained in the sources, so treat the setting as a label for now.[5]
Other config values
- discord.discord is set to false. The file describes it as enabling Discord Rich Presence.[5]
- The pack version fields packversionmaj.major, packversionmin.minor and packversionminrev.minorrev are set to 1, 0 and 0, which are also the mod defaults. The file only describes them as the pack release version format.[5]
Storage blocks
The mod adds compact storage blocks: ATM Star Block, Ender Pearl Block and Nether Star Block. Their in-pack recipes are shown below.[6]

The pack also changed recipes that turn a 1x compressed block into the regular storage block. They cover the ATM Star Block, the Ender Pearl Block and the Nether Star Block, and they're handy if you use compressed blocks for storage.[6]

Pack-added crafted items
This pack adds shaped recipes through KubeJS for a set of late-game items from the mod. They're built from components of many other mods, so expect to gather a lot of materials. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack ingredients.[6]
- Dimensional Seed[6]
- Dragon Soul[6]
- Improbable Probability Device[6]
- Nexium Emitter[6]
- Oblivion Shard[6]
- Philosopher's Fuel[6]
- Wither's Compass[6]
- The portal items Miniature End Portal, Miniature Exit Portal and Miniature Nether Portal[6]

How do you progress through AllTheTweaks?
5 parts
Progression for AllTheTweaks in this pack is one long road to a single item, the ATM Star. The quest chapter "The ATM Star" lays it out, and the final quest says that making the ATM Star means you have beaten the modpack. The component recipes below are all shaped or mechanical crafting recipes added by the pack, so don't rely on mod defaults.[2][4]
Tier 1: the Miniature Portals
You start with three portal items, each placed after the Apothic Mods quests. The Miniature Nether Portal (quest a quest in "The ATM Star") is built around a Hellshelf of Masterful Sight. The quest text says you enchant up to an Infused Hellshelf and then craft with it to upgrade it further.[2][4]
The Miniature End Portal (quest a quest in "The ATM Star") needs Endshelves, the last shelf tiers from Apotheosis. Those need Infused Dragon's Breath and Eyes of Ender. The Miniature Exit Portal (quest a quest in "The ATM Star") is called the most expensive of the three. It needs Infused Dragon's Breath and Soul-Touched Sculkshelves, and the quest says you can get extra Dragon Eggs from HNN, MA or an Extractor instead of milking the dragon again.[2][4]

Tier 2: the core components
Next come six more components. Each has its own quest in the same chapter and a shaped recipe that pulls items from many different mods, so expect to work on several tech and magic lines at once.[2][4]
- Dragon Soul, quest "Dragon Soul" quest.[2][4]
- Improbable Probability Device, quest "Improbable Probability Device" quest.[2][4]
- Nexium Emitter, quest "Nexium Emitter" quest.[2][4]
- Oblivion Shard, quest "Oblivion Shard" quest.[2][4]
- Philosopher's Fuel, quest "Philosopher's Fuel" quest.[2][4]

Patrick Star and Star Shards
The Patrick Star (quest "Patrick Star" quest) is made with Create mechanical crafting, and the pack adds a rotated variant of the recipe too. The pack also changes the Productive Bees centrifuge recipe for the Patrick honeycomb so that it outputs a Patrick Star and wax.[2][4]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthetweaks:allthetweaks/patrick_star
The ATM Star Shard comes from bees. The pack changes the starry honeycomb centrifuge recipe so that it outputs an ATM Star Shard plus a Nether Star Shard. The Star Shards quest ("Star Shards" quest) says you need 262 Star Shards total to remake 1 Star, so plan a solid bee setup. The pack also changes the Mekanism crushing recipe that turns an ATM Star back into a shard.[3][4]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
55 × ATM Star Shard
Recipe id: allthetweaks:allthetweaks/atm_star_from_shard
Shards turn back into an ATM Star through Create mechanical crafting, a recipe added by the pack.
The finish: ATM Star
With all the components done, the "ATM Star" quest quest is the end of the chapter. Besides the components above, its prerequisites include Creative Essence and The Star's Casing.[2]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthetweaks:allthetweaks/atm_star
This is a Create mechanical crafting recipe added by the pack, and the pack ships a rotated version too.
After the first Star
The "Creative" chapter is about remaking Stars. Quest "Infused Patrick Star" quest covers the Infused Patrick Star, which the quest says is made at a Runic Star Altar. Then "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest describes rebuilding ATM Stars with full automation once you have that Infused Patrick Star.[3]
There is also a chapter called "The Pika Star (WIP)", which the pack marks as a work in progress. Its quest "Unbound Pika Star" quest says you need 55 Create Mechanical Crafters arranged in a star shape, upside down compared to the Patrick and ATM Stars, to craft your first Pika Star.[7]
How does AllTheTweaks work with other mods?
3 parts
AllTheTweaks revolves around the ATM Star, and in this pack almost all of its connections to other mods come through that item. Its component items are built from other mods' items, and the star itself is then used to craft creative items from other mods. This section follows that chain.[2][4]
Building the ATM Star
The pack adds the star as a Create mechanical crafting recipe, in a normal and a rotated version. It is a real crossover craft: the Master Ball, Creative Essence and Uru Metal Block all come from other mods. The quest "ATM Star" quest says that crafting it means you have beaten the pack.[2][4]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthetweaks:allthetweaks/atm_star
A rotated variant of this recipe also exists.
Each part of the star has its own pack-added recipe that uses items from other mods:[4]
- Miniature Nether Portal, Miniature End Portal and Miniature Exit Portal use shelves such as the Endshelf and the Soul-Touched Sculkshelf. The Dimensional Seed then combines these portals with compressed blocks from AllTheCompressed.[4]
- Dragon Soul uses items like Abyssal Sacrifice, Soul Gem, Chain of Souls and Socotra Dragon Sapling.[4]
- Improbable Probability Device uses the Singularity, Antimatter Pellet, Aerial Interface and Zygarde Cube, among others.[4]
- Nexium Emitter uses the Mechanical Arm, Tesla Coil and Player Transmitter (Nitro), among others.[4]
- Oblivion Shard uses Void Forge, Eternal Stella and Zygarde Cube, among others.[4]
- Philosopher's Fuel uses items like Ender Generator, Rainbow Coal and Blaze Burner.[4]
- Wither's Compass uses Heart of the Deep, Wither Builder and Witherite Dust, among others.[4]
- Pulsating Black Hole uses ME Quantum Ring, Paradox Machine, Manhattan Module and Micromissiles, among others.[4]
The pack also changed the conversion recipes between AllTheCompressed 1x blocks and the matching AllTheTweaks blocks: ATM Star Block, Nether Star Block and Ender Pearl Block.[4]
Bees, Patrick Star and Cobblemon
Star Shards come from bees. The pack changed a bee conversion that turns an ATM Star Block into the starry bee. It also changed two centrifuge recipes: the starry comb gives ATM Star Shard and Nether Star Shard, and the Patrick comb gives Patrick Star and Wax.[3][4]
The quest "Infused Patrick Star" quest covers the Infused Patrick Star, which is made in a Runic Star Altar and also needs Infused Dragon's Breath. The Patrick Star also feeds into Cobblemon content: the Imbued Pokemon Egg is made at a summoning altar from a Patrick Star, Maple Syrup and sandpaper. The quest "Unbound Pika Star" quest, in the work-in-progress Pika Star chapter, says you need 55 Create Mechanical Crafters shaped as a star to craft your first Pika Star.[3][4][7]
What the ATM Star unlocks
Once you have a star, the pack uses it as an ingredient for creative items from other mods:[4]
- Creative Source Jar is made at the enchanting apparatus from an ATM Star and a Source Gem Block.[4]
- Creative Energy Cell, Energy Cell (Creative) and Creative Energy Battery are made by energizing, each from an ATM Star plus a non-creative energy storage item.[4]
- Creative Chemical Tank and Creative Fluid Tank use an ATM Star Block with an Ultimate tank and an Unobtainium Ingot.[4]
- Creative Compressor and Creative Compressed Iron Block are made in a pressure chamber with an ATM Star.[4]
- Creative Spell Book uses an ATM Star together with an Archmage Spell Book.[4]
- Creative Locomotive uses an ATM Star Shard instead of a full star.[4]

Which All the Mons quests use AllTheTweaks?
4 parts
Three quest chapters in the pack involve this mod: The ATM Star, Creative, and The Pika Star (WIP). The first is the main route to the ATM Star. The Creative chapter is about remaking it, and the Pika Star chapter is a work in progress.[2][3][7]
The ATM Star chapter
The final quest here is "ATM Star" quest, which asks you to hand in the ATM Star. Its quest text says that finishing it means you have beaten the modpack. It unlocks only after every one of its prerequisite quests, and most of them each ask for one finished item:[2]
- "Patrick Star" quest asks for the Patrick Star.[2]
- "Pulsating Black Hole" quest asks for the Pulsating Black Hole.[2]
- "Dimensional Seed" quest asks for the Dimensional Seed (more on its prerequisites below).[2]
- "Wither's Compass" quest asks for the Wither's Compass.[2]
- "Improbable Probability Device" quest asks for the Improbable Probability Device.[2]
- "Philosopher's Fuel" quest asks for the Philosopher's Fuel.[2]
- "Dragon Soul" quest asks for the Dragon Soul.[2]
- "Oblivion Shard" quest asks for the Oblivion Shard.[2]
- "Nexium Emitter" quest asks for the Nexium Emitter.[2]
The ATM Star quest also lists Creative Essence and The Star's Casing as prerequisites.[2]
The portal quests before the Dimensional Seed
Three portal quests feed into the Dimensional Seed quest. a quest in "The ATM Star" asks for the Miniature End Portal, a quest in "The ATM Star" asks for the Miniature Nether Portal, and a quest in "The ATM Star" asks for the Miniature Exit Portal. All three unlock after the Apothic Mods quest.[2]
Their quest text points you at Apotheosis shelves. The End portal needs Endshelves, the Nether portal needs a Hellshelf of Masterful Sight, and the Exit portal needs Soul-Touched Sculkshelves. The text also mentions Infused Dragon's Breath for the End and Exit portals.[2]
The Creative chapter
This chapter is about remaking the ATM Star once you have already built one. The "Star Shards" quest quest asks for the ATM Star Shard and unlocks after Starry Bee! and But why?. Its text says you need 262 Star Shards in total to remake 1 Star, so plan a solid Bee setup.[3]
"Infused Patrick Star" quest asks for a Patrick Star. Its text says both the Patrick Star and the Infused Patrick Star are made in a Runic Star Altar, and that Star Shards are among the other ingredients.[3]
"Fully Automated ATM Star" quest asks for the ATM Star again. It unlocks after the Infused Patrick Star quest, Corrupti Dust, Mundabitur Dust, the Lens of the Killer and the ATM Star part quests. The text says this lets you rebuild ATM Stars with full automation.[3]
The Pika Star (WIP) chapter
"Unbound Pika Star" quest is the quest in this work-in-progress chapter. It checks an advancement and several items, including the Patrick Star. The text says you need 55 Create Mechanical Crafters arranged in a star shape, upside down compared to the Patrick and ATM Stars.[7]
Which AllTheTweaks config options matter?
3 parts
AllTheTweaks has a small common config, and only a few options are worth knowing about. Everything lives in config/allthetweaks-common.toml.[8]
Pack mode
The big one is packmode.enable. The mod default is 0, but this pack changes it to 8. The accepted range is 0 to 8.[8]
The config comment maps the numbers to pack modes: ATM = 0, SLOP = 1, SKY = 2, MAGIC = 3, EXPERT = 4, GRAVITAS = 5, LITE = 6, AOA = 7 and MON = 8. So the pack's value of 8 selects the MON mode.[8]
Discord Rich Presence
discord.discord is set to false in this pack. The config describes it as the switch for Discord Rich Presence, so it is turned off here.[8]
Pack version numbers
The pack's version number is stored in the following options. Each one matches the mod default and accepts values from 0 to 32,768.[8]
- packversionmaj.major is 1 (mod default 1).[8]
- packversionmin.minor is 0 (mod default 0).[8]
- packversionminrev.minorrev is 0 (mod default 0).[8]
