What is Mystical Adaptations?
2 parts
Mystical Adaptations is an addon for Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions. It extends the Mystical Agriculture gear line with a Tier 6 Insanium set. This pack includes version 1.20.1-1.0.1 of the mod.[1][2]
What it adds
- Insanium Armor, Tier 6: Insanium Helmet, Insanium Chestplate, Insanium Leggings and Insanium Boots.[1][3]
- Insanium Tools: Sword, Pickaxe, Shovel, Axe, Hoe, Watering Can, Paxel, Shears, Fishing Rod, Scythe and Sickle. The watering can is Insanium Watering Can.[1]
- New augments: Hungerless, Woodcutter, Mining AOE V, Strength IV, Absorption VI, Health Boost VI, Attack AOE IV and Tilling AOE V.[1]
- New tile entities: Insanium Furnace and Insanium Seed Reprocessor.[1]
- The mod page also lists Vampirism compatibility, with a Thirstless augment and a Daywalker augment.[1]
Where the quest book puts it
The Insanium gear quests sit in the Mystical Agriculture chapter, in the Resource Generation group. There the quest book asks you to obtain the Insanium armor ("Essence Armor" quest), the seed reprocessor (a quest in "Mystical Agriculture"), and the Insanium Watering Can together with Insanium Farmland ("Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 6" quest). All three come after an Insanium Ingot quest in that same chapter.[1][3]
I can't show you the text of most quests in that chapter here, so open the quest book to read the details.[3]
The furnace has its own quest, a quest in "Smelters", in the Smelters chapter of the Production group. It asks you to obtain the Insanium Furnace. Smelters also holds the other Mystical Agriculture furnace quests, such as a quest in "Smelters", a quest in "Smelters", a quest in "Smelters" and a quest in "Smelters".[1][4]
How do you get started with Mystical Adaptations?
6 parts
Mystical Adaptations is an addon for Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions. It adds Tier 6 Insanium armor, a set of Insanium tools, and two tile entities: the Insanium Furnace and the Insanium Seed Reprocessor. So your first steps are about getting far enough into the Mystical Agriculture line to unlock them.[1]
Start at the Insanium Ingot quest
In the quest book, the Mystical Agriculture chapter (group Resource Generation, chapter 12 of 44) hangs the Insanium quests for armor, the seed reprocessor and Tier 6 growing off the Insanium Ingot quest. That is your gate. The ingot itself belongs to Mystical Agradditions, not to this mod. The rest of that chapter's quests are in the quest book, so check there for how to get it.[3][5]
Step 1: Insanium Seed Reprocessor
The Insanium Seed Reprocessor has its own quest, a quest in "Mystical Agriculture", right after the Insanium Ingot quest. Its recipe is changed by this pack, so go by the recipe below and not by what you remember from the mod.[3][5]

Step 2: Watering can for Tier 6 growing
The quest "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 6" quest (Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 6) asks for the Insanium Watering Can plus Insanium Farmland, and it also comes after the Insanium Ingot quest.[3][5]

Step 3: Insanium armor
The quest "Essence Armor" quest (Essence Armor) asks for the full set: Insanium Helmet, Insanium Chestplate, Insanium Leggings and Insanium Boots. All four are crafted the same way as the helmet shown below, each from its own matching piece.[3][5]

In this pack, [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mystical Agradditions.insanium_armor_augments]] and [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mystical Agradditions.insanium_tools_augments]] are both set to 2, which is the top of their 1 to 2 range. That means each armor piece and each tool can take up to 2 augments.[6]
Step 4: Insanium Furnace
The Insanium Furnace has its quest, a quest in "Smelters", in the Smelters chapter (group Production, chapter 42 of 44). It sits alongside the other furnace tiers in that chapter.[4][5]

Step 5: Tools
The mod adds the Insanium Sword, Insanium Pickaxe, Insanium Shovel, Insanium Axe, Insanium Hoe, Insanium Shears, Insanium Fishing Rod, Insanium Scythe and Insanium Sickle. The Insanium Paxel is built from other Insanium tools, so make those first.[1][5]

How does Mystical Adaptations work?
5 parts
Mystical Adaptations is a small addon, so there are no big multiblocks or power networks to wire up here. The mod adds Insanium gear and two machines (tile entities): the Insanium Furnace and the Insanium Seed Reprocessor. It is an addon for Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions, and most of how it plays comes from that link.[1][7]
The two machines
The furnace is crafted from Insanium materials and an Awakened Supremium furnace, so it's an upgrade step, not a fresh build. Here's the exact in-pack recipe.[5]
Crafting Shaped

The Seed Reprocessor is a different story. The pack changed its recipe, so don't trust the mod's default. Use this one.[5]

Unverified The sources don't describe how fast either machine works, what the Seed Reprocessor takes in and puts out, or whether they accept power, fluids or automation (hoppers, pipes). Check them in-game before building around them.
Upgrading tools and armor
Most Insanium tools and armor pieces use the recipe type cucumber:shaped_transfer_damage. The pack's recipe dump counts 15 of these, all taking Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions items and producing Mystical Adaptations items. In other words, you upgrade existing gear, you don't start from scratch.[5]
The Insanium Paxel is the exception. It's a normal shaped craft that combines your finished Insanium tools.[5]

The Insanium Watering Can is also a normal shaped craft, built from an Awakened Supremium watering can.[5]

Augments
The mod adds augments for its gear. These are the effects the language file describes:[7]
- Hungerless: you never feel hungry again.[7]
- Woodcutter: breaks an entire tree.[7]
- Mining AOE V: mining area of 11x11.[7]
- Tilling AOE V: tilling area of 11x11.[7]
- Attack AOE IV: attack area of 9x9.[7]
- Absorption VI: grants 12 absorption hearts.[7]
- Health Boost VI: increases max health by 12 hearts.[7]
The mod page also lists a Strength IV augment, but the language file has no description for it, so its exact effect is unverified.[1][7]
The pack allows 2 augments on Insanium armor ([[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mystical Agradditions.insanium_armor_augments]]) and 2 on Insanium tools ([[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mystical Agradditions.insanium_tools_augments]]). Both options accept a range of 1 to 2.[6]
There are also two Vampirism compat augments. Daywalker protects vampires from the sunlight, and Thirstless means you never feel thirsty (of blood) again. Both are enabled in the pack through [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Vampirism Compat.daywalker_augment]] and [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Vampirism Compat.thirstless_augment]].[6][7]
Mob drops
The mod has options for the Ender Dragon and the Wither to drop insanium essence when killed with an Insanium weapon. The pack has switched both off, via [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mob Drops.dragon_insanium]] and [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mob Drops.wither_insanium]], so don't count on boss kills for essence here.[6]
Pack-specific interactions
- The pack's Paxel script counts the Insanium Paxel as diamond tier. Held in your main hand, it can harvest the Common Ore Library platinum, iridium and tungsten ores, as well as the lower-tier ores.[8]
- In that same script, Fortune on the tool adds a random bonus of between 0 and your Fortune level extra raw drops on top of the base 1.[8]
- The Insanium Furnace is an ingredient in the pack's recipe for Energy Collector MK2.[9]
- The Insanium Shovel is one of the many shovels in the pack's recipe for Planet Eater.[10]
How do you progress through Mystical Adaptations?
4 parts
Mystical Adaptations adds Insanium-tier gear and utilities for this pack. The quest book files Insanium essence as Tier 6 of the Mystical Agriculture ladder, and the Insanium items here build on the Awakened Supremium versions of the same items.[3][5]
The tier ladder in the quest book
The essence quests live in the Mystical Agriculture chapter of the Resource Generation group. This is the order the quest book chains them in:[3]
- Start with "Welcome to Mystical Agriculture" quest, which the book follows with "Inferium Essence" quest.[3]
- Next in the chain is "Prudentium Essence" quest.[3]
- Then "Tertium Essence" quest.[3]
- Then "Imperium Essence" quest.[3]
- Then "Supremium Essence" quest.[3]
- Finally "Insanium Essence" quest, the Insanium step.[3]
There is also an Awakened branch in the quest book. "The Awakening" quest follows Supremium Essence, then comes "Cognizant Dust" quest, then "Awakened Supremium Essence" quest. It matters here because the Insanium armor and most Insanium tools are crafted from the Awakened Supremium version of the same piece.[3][5]
What the Insanium quests ask for
The quest book places several quests that involve this mod after a quest in "Mystical Agriculture":[3]
- "Essence Armor" quest: asks you to obtain Insanium Helmet, Insanium Chestplate, Insanium Leggings and Insanium Boots.[3][5]
- a quest in "Mystical Agriculture": asks you to obtain the Insanium Seed Reprocessor.[3][5]
- "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 6" quest: asks you to obtain the Insanium Watering Can plus Insanium farmland, which comes from a different mod.[3][5]
- "Essence Tools & Weapons" quest: titled Essence Tools & Weapons, its task is an OR filter item.[3]
The Insanium Furnace has its own quest, a quest in "Smelters", in the Smelters chapter of the Production group. It asks you to obtain the furnace.[4][5]

Where Insanium gear is used later
The pack's own script counts the Insanium paxel among the diamond-level paxels when you break aluminum, zinc, cobalt, platinum, iridium and tungsten ores from the common ore library. Fortune on it can add extra drops.[8]
Insanium items also show up as ingredients in endgame crafts the pack rewrote. Its recipe for Energy Collector MK2 uses the Insanium Furnace, and its recipe for the Planet Eater (the Planet Eater) uses the Insanium Shovel.[9][10]
How does Mystical Adaptations work with other mods?
4 parts
Mystical Adaptations is an addon for Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions, so most of its links go back to those mods. The pack also feeds its gear into a few endgame recipes from other mods.[1]
Built on Mystical Agriculture gear
Insanium gear is the next step up from the Awakened Supremium gear. The axe, boots and bow are made by upgrading the matching Awakened Supremium item with Insanium materials from Mystical Agradditions. Across the pack, 15 recipes of this upgrade type turn Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions items into Mystical Adaptations items.[5]

Avaritia Infinity gear
Insanium gear is one of the many ingredients in the pack's changed Avaritia recipes, made at an Extended Crafting table. Each of these needs its Insanium counterpart:[5]
- Sword of the Cosmos, World Breaker, Nature's Ruin, Planet Eater and Eternal Fertility take the Insanium sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel and hoe.[5]
- Infinity Helmet, Infinity Chestplate, Infinity Pants and Infinity Boots take the Insanium helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots.[5]

The pack's own script for the Planet Eater includes the Insanium Shovel among its many shovels.
ProjectE Energy Collector MK2
The Insanium Furnace also goes into the Energy Collector MK2. The pack's own script changes that recipe, which is made at an Extended Crafting table.[5][9]

In the quest book
In the Mystical Agriculture chapter (group Resource Generation), three quests come after the Insanium Ingot quest: "Essence Armor" quest asks you to bring the four Insanium armor pieces, a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" asks for the Insanium Seed Reprocessor, and "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 6" quest asks for the Insanium Watering Can plus Insanium Farmland. Most of that chapter's quests are not included in the sources here, so the rest of it is in the quest book.[1][3][5]
The Insanium Furnace has its own quest, a quest in "Smelters", in the Smelters chapter (group Production), which asks you to get the furnace. That chapter also covers other furnaces, including the Mystical Agriculture furnace tiers.[1][4]
Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use Mystical Adaptations?
2 parts
The pack's quest book touches this mod in two chapters. Most of it is in the Mystical Agriculture chapter (group Resource Generation, chapter 12 of 44, 207 quests). One more quest is in the Smelters chapter (group Production, chapter 42 of 44, 41 quests).[3][4]
Mystical Agriculture chapter
Everything here hangs off the Insanium tier. "Supremium Essence" quest is Tier 5, and "Insanium Essence" quest comes right after it as Tier 6. a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" follows Insanium Essence, and three quests unlock after the ingot.[3]
- "Supremium Essence" quest: the Tier 5 essence quest that leads to the next step.[3]
- "Insanium Essence" quest: the Tier 6 essence quest, which comes after Supremium Essence.[3]
- a quest in "Mystical Agriculture": comes after Insanium Essence and opens the quests below.[3]
Once you have the ingot, these quests become available, and three of them ask for items from this mod:[3]
- "Essence Armor" quest asks for the full armor set: Insanium Helmet, Insanium Chestplate, Insanium Leggings and Insanium Boots.[3]
- a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" asks for the Insanium Seed Reprocessor.[3]
- "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 6" quest asks for the Insanium Watering Can and the matching Insanium farmland. It is the sixth step of the growth-quest line, after the Tier 1 to Tier 5 versions.[3]
- "Essence Tools & Weapons" quest sits beside them after the same ingot. Its task is an OR filter item rather than one of this mod's items.[3]
Smelters chapter
In the Smelters chapter, a quest in "Smelters" asks you to obtain the Insanium Furnace. The book lists no prerequisite for it, so you can pick it up at any point in that chapter. The chapter also has furnace quests for the other Mystical Agriculture tiers, such as a quest in "Smelters" and a quest in "Smelters".[4]
Which Mystical Adaptations config options matter?
3 parts
Mystical Adaptations keeps its settings in one file, config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml, and there are only a handful of options. Here is exactly how this pack sets each one.[6]
Boss drops
Both boss drop options are switched off in this pack. [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mob Drops.dragon_insanium]] is false, so the Ender Dragon does not drop insanium essence when you kill it with an Insanium weapon. [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mob Drops.wither_insanium]] is also false, so the Wither doesn't either.[6]
Augment slots on insanium gear
The number of augments you can place on insanium gear is set by two options, and each accepts a value between 1 and 2. This pack sets both to 2, the top of the range. That means [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mystical Agradditions.insanium_armor_augments]] allows 2 augments on insanium armor, and [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Mystical Agradditions.insanium_tools_augments]] allows 2 augments on insanium tools.[6]
Vampirism compat augments
The mod includes Vampirism compatibility that adds the Thirstless and Daywalker augments. In this pack both are enabled: [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Vampirism Compat.daywalker_augment]] is true and [[config:config/mysticaladaptations-common.toml#Vampirism Compat.thirstless_augment]] is true.[1][6]
What changed in Mystical Adaptations between versions?
1 part
Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 ships Mystical Adaptations 1.20.1-1.0.1. It was already in the pack by version 0.0.45.4 or earlier, so you have had these fixes for a while.[2]
What changed in 1.20.1-1.0.1
This is the mod's own changelog for the version your pack uses. It is all bug fixes:[2][11]
- Fixed a crash on startup, contributed by the community member naxakariya.[11]
- Fixed Tier VI augments not having descriptions.[11]
- Fixed Wood Cutter augments running code on the client side instead of the server side.[11]
- Fixed augments not being shown in the item's tooltip.[11]
If you hover over an item and want to check which augments it has, the tooltip fix means they should now show up there.[11]
