What is Mystical Agradditions?
3 parts
Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It extends the farming tree with a sixth tier of crops, plus extra tools and some Tinkers' Construct support. This pack includes version 8.0.14.[1][2]
What it adds
- Tier 6 essence, called Insanium, and tier 6 crops for high-tier materials. The project page lists Nether Stars, Awakened Draconium and Neutronium among them.[1]
- Paxels, which combine a pickaxe, axe and shovel in one tool.[1]
- Tinkers' Construct integration, and Essence Coal, which can cook more items than regular Coal.[1]
Unverified The project page's crop list (Nether Star, Dragon Egg, Gaia Spirit, Awakened Draconium, Neutronium, Nitro Crystal) was last updated for version 7.0.2, not the 8.0.14 used here. Check in game which of those crops exist in this pack.
Who it is for
It is for you once you have a working Mystical Agriculture setup and want to push past the top tier. The pack's quest book treats it as a late step in the resource generation chapter.[1][3]
Where it fits in the pack's progression
The paxel quests run in tier order. They start at the Inferium Paxel in a quest in "Generating Resources" and continue with the Prudentium Paxel in "Prudentium Gear" quest. Next comes the Tertium Paxel in "Tertium Gear" quest, then the Imperium Paxel in "Imperium Gear" quest, and the Supremium Paxel in "Supremium Gear" quest. The chain ends with the Awakened Supremium Paxel in "Awakened Supremium Gear" quest. Each of these quests accepts the matching tier of other Mystical Agriculture tools as well as the paxel.[3]
The tier 6 content has its own milestones. "Understanding Essence Farmland" quest covers farmland, and its task list ends with Insanium Farmland. "Insanium Essence" quest asks for Insanium Essence. Two quests then unlock after that essence quest. "Nether Star Seeds" quest pairs Nether Star seeds with the Nether Star Crux. "Dragon Egg Seeds" quest pairs Dragon Egg seeds with the Dragon Egg Crux.[3]
How do you get started with Mystical Agradditions?
5 parts
Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It brings tier 6 Insanium essence, tier 6 crops, Paxels (one tool that works as a pickaxe, axe and shovel) and Essence Coal. Because it builds on Mystical Agriculture, you start with that mod's essences and tools and work up to the Agradditions items.[1]
Step 1: Make an Inferium Paxel
Your first Agradditions item is the Inferium Paxel. The pack changed its recipe from the mod's default, so use the recipe below rather than anything you remember from other packs. The quest a quest in "Generating Resources" accepts any Inferium tool, and the Paxel counts too.[3][4]

The tool quests then follow the essence tiers in order. "Prudentium Gear" quest is Prudentium, "Tertium Gear" quest is Tertium, "Imperium Gear" quest is Imperium and "Supremium Gear" quest is Supremium. Each one accepts a tool of its tier, and the Paxel of that tier is one of the accepted items. The pack has changed all of those Paxel recipes as well. The Prudentium Paxel, Tertium Paxel, Imperium Paxel and Supremium Paxel are your upgrade path.[3][4]
Step 2: Try Essence Coal
Essence Coal can cook more items than regular coal, which makes it a cheap early upgrade. Start with Inferium Coal. The higher tiers use the same pattern, and you can pack each coal into a block and unpack it again.[1][4]
Step 3: Reach Insanium Essence
Insanium Essence is the tier 6 essence, and the quest "Insanium Essence" quest asks you to obtain it. The crafting recipe uses Supremium Essence, so you need Supremium progress from Mystical Agriculture first.[1][3][4]

The pack also changed a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe, the Insanium honeycomb one, so that it outputs Insanium Essence and Wax.[4]
Step 4: Insanium Farmland
Once you have Insanium Essence, make Insanium Farmland for your crops. There are two recipes. One upgrades existing farmland, and the other tills dirt directly. The farmland quest "Understanding Essence Farmland" quest accepts farmland of any essence tier, including this one.[3][4]

Step 5: Prepare for the boss-drop crops
After Insanium Essence, the quests "Nether Star Seeds" quest and "Dragon Egg Seeds" quest ask for the Nether Star and Dragon Egg seeds and the matching Crux items. The pack changed both Crux recipes.[3][4]

Further down the line, the pack adds its own recipe for Creative Essence. It uses the Dragon Egg Chunk and the Nether Star Shard, which are made from the Dragon Egg and Nether Star essences, so everything above feeds into it.[4]
How does Mystical Agradditions work?
8 parts
Mystical Agradditions builds on Mystical Agriculture rather than adding machines of its own. Here it is all about farming: a sixth tier of crops, the blocks that let them grow, and a handful of tools and foods made from the new essences.[1][5]
Tier 6 crops and Cruxes
Insanium Essence is an extra essence tier above Supremium, and it is what you use to make Tier 6 crops. These crops behave differently from the lower tiers. They need a Crux below the farmland to grow, and they never drop a second seed when harvested.[5]
A Crux is a block you place under a Tier 6 crop so that it can grow. The mod has one for each resource crop: Nether Star, Dragon Egg, Awakened Draconium, Gaia Spirit, Neutronium and Nitro Crystal. The Nether Star and Dragon Egg versions are the ones this pack gives recipes for below.[1][4][5]
Insanium Farmland is the farmland for these crops. You make it by tilling dirt with Insanium Essence.[4]
Farmland Till (mysticalagriculture)
Recipe id: mysticalagradditions:insanium_farmland_till
The pack changed both Crux recipes. Each one now needs a diamond storage block, Insanium Essence and a boss drop: a Withering Soul for the Nether Star Crux, and a Dragon Scale for the Dragon Egg Crux.[4]

Fertilizing Tier 6 crops
Normally Tier 6 crops can't be grown with Mystical Fertilizer or Fertilized Essence. In this pack the option General.fertilizableTier6Crops is set to true, which allows fertilizing them.[5][6]
Where the Crux ingredients come from
- Dragon Scale drops from the Ender Dragon on death. General.dragonScalesAmount is 8 in this pack, the same as the mod default, with an allowed range of 0 to 64.[5][6]
- Withering Soul drops from the Wither on death. General.witheringSoulChance is 0.35 here, the same as the mod default, and can be set anywhere from 0.0 to 1.0.[5][6]
- Nether Star Shard is one of the possible rewards from the pack's Goat event, which spawns a Quantum Goat near you.[7]
The pack also changed the recipe for Dragon Egg Chunk, which is made from Dragon Egg Essence.[4]

Insanium materials
Insanium Block is crafted from a Master Infusion Crystal and a Supremium Block. The pack also adds an Ender IO enchanting recipe that uses 4 Insanium Blocks to give the Mystical Enlightenment enchantment.[4][8]

Insanium Gemstone is made from 2 Insanium Essence and a Prosperity Gemstone.[4]
The pack also changed a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe so it yields Insanium Essence and Wax. The recipe dump shows no item inputs for it.[4]
Creative Essence
The pack adds its own Awakening recipe for Creative Essence. It uses 40 each of Insanium Ingot, Nether Star Shard, Dragon Egg Chunk and Mystical Fertilizer, plus an Awakened Supremium Ingot Block and 4 Cognizant Dust.[4][8]

Essence Coal, Apples and Paxels
Essence Coal can cook more items than regular coal. Imperium Coal and Insanium Coal are crafted as shown below. Imperium Coal can also be stored as an Imperium Coal Block and uncrafted back again.[1][4]

Essence Apples are a healthier alternative to regular apples, giving buffs and extra nutrition. Each apple's effects last for the time set in General.essenceAppleDuration, which is 180 seconds here, the same as the mod default.[5][6]
The Insanium Apple is a golden apple plus Insanium Essence. The Imperium Apple has the normal crafting recipe, and the pack also adds a casting route that uses molten metal (see below).[4]

Molten Imperium and casting
The mod has molten fluids for Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium, Supremium and Soulium. In this pack, Productive Metalworks melting turns an Imperium Block into 810 Molten Imperium. Casting an Imperium Apple takes a golden apple and 720 of it. Both recipes were changed by the pack.[4][5]

Ore generation
Nether and End variants of Prosperity and Inferium ore generate normally, usually at all Y levels in their dimension. The pack leaves every one of these generation toggles on: World.generateNetherProsperityOre, World.generateNetherInferiumOre, World.generateEndProsperityOre and World.generateEndInferiumOre.[5][6]
How do you progress through Mystical Agradditions?
4 parts
Mystical Agradditions adds the tiers that sit on top of the Mystical Agriculture ones. In this pack the quest line for it lives in the resource generation chapter. It climbs Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium and Supremium through tools, then jumps to Insanium and the Crux items.[3][4]
The paxel ladder
Each of the five basic tiers has one quest, and each one unlocks after the tier before it. Every quest is satisfied by any tool from that tier's set (sword, pickaxe, shovel, axe, hoe, bow, crossbow, shears, fishing rod, sickle or scythe) or by that tier's paxel from this mod.[3]
- Inferium: a quest in "Generating Resources" accepts the Inferium Paxel or any other Inferium tool.[3]
- Prudentium: "Prudentium Gear" quest comes after the Inferium quest and accepts the Prudentium Paxel or any other Prudentium tool.[3]
- Tertium: "Tertium Gear" quest comes after the Prudentium quest and accepts the Tertium Paxel or any other Tertium tool.[3]
- Imperium: "Imperium Gear" quest comes after the Tertium quest and accepts the Imperium Paxel or any other Imperium tool.[3]
- Supremium: "Supremium Gear" quest comes after the Imperium quest and accepts the Supremium Paxel or any other Supremium tool.[3]
The pack changed the paxel recipes for all five tiers, so don't trust a default mod recipe from memory. Here are the lowest and highest ones.[3][4]

Past that, "Awakened Supremium Gear" quest asks for an awakened Supremium tool or the Awakened Supremium Paxel. It unlocks after the Imperium quest and one other quest. The pack also changed a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe so that it outputs Insanium Essence along with wax. That makes it a second route to the essence.[4]
Centrifuge (productivebees)

"Understanding Essence Farmland" quest wants a farmland from any tier, and the list includes Insanium Farmland. It is the top-tier version, and you can make it from regular farmland and Insanium Essence.[3][4]
Insanium Essence also feeds the other Insanium materials. Prosperity materials combine with it to make the Insanium Ingot and the Insanium Gemstone, and each of those has a compact block form.[4]
Cruxes and Creative Essence
Two quests unlock once you have Insanium Essence: "Nether Star Seeds" quest for Nether Star seeds and the Nether Star Crux, and "Dragon Egg Seeds" quest for Dragon Egg seeds and the Dragon Egg Crux. The pack changed both Crux recipes.[3][4]

Side items per tier
Every tier from Inferium up to Insanium has an apple and a coal in this mod. The pack added Productive Metalworks casting recipes for the Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium and Supremium apples, using a golden apple and the matching molten metal. Melting recipes for each tier's essence and block provide that molten metal.[4]

Unverified The quests in this chapter have no titles or descriptions in the pack files, so what rewards they give is not confirmed.
How does Mystical Agradditions work with other mods?
2 parts
Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture, so its closest tie is with that mod. In this pack, the biggest link to other mods is Insanium Farmland and the Immersive Engineering Cloche.[1][4]
Insanium Farmland in the Cloche
The pack adds a whole family of Immersive Engineering Cloche recipes that use Insanium Farmland as the soil. These are pack-added recipes, not something the mod ships with.[4]
The biggest group turns Mystical Agriculture seeds into their essences, for example air, iron, diamond, nether star and dragon egg. Inferium Essence is included too.[4]
Cloche (immersiveengineering)
Recipe id: ftb:cloche/inferium_essence_from_insanium_farmland
One example of the pattern: the pack's Cloche recipe for Inferium Essence on Insanium Farmland.
The same farmland also works for crops from several other mods. The pack's recipes cover these:[4]
- Roots: Aubergine and Moonglow.[4]
- Enchanted: Belladonna Flower, Mandrake Root and Icy Needle.[4]
- Ars Nouveau: Magebloom, Bastion Fruit, Bombegranate, Frostaya and Mendosteen.[4]
- Farmer's Delight: Cabbage and Onion.[4]
- Actually Additions: Canola Plant and Coffee Beans.[4]
- Occultism: Demon's Dream.[4]
- Silent Gear and Supplementaries: Fluffy Puff and Flax.[4]
- Immersive Engineering itself: Industrial Hemp Fiber, made from Industrial Hemp Seeds.[4]
The Ars Nouveau pods, the Farmer's Delight onion and the Actually Additions coffee beans are listed with the crop itself as both the input item and the output. The recipe listing doesn't show what that means in practice, so check these in your recipe viewer before you plan a farm around them.[4]
Quest links with Mystical Agriculture
The same quest chapter pairs the add-on's items with Mystical Agriculture's. Each tool quest accepts a Mystical Agriculture tool or the matching Paxel, starting with Inferium Paxel and Prudentium Paxel. The chain continues through Tertium Paxel, Imperium Paxel and Supremium Paxel, and ends with Awakened Supremium Paxel.[3]
After the Insanium Essence quest, "Insanium Essence" quest, two quests ask for a Mystical Agriculture seed together with its matching Crux. "Nether Star Seeds" quest pairs the Nether Star seeds with Nether Star Crux. "Dragon Egg Seeds" quest pairs the Dragon Egg seeds with Dragon Egg Crux.[3]
Which FTB Skies 2 quests use Mystical Agradditions?
3 parts
Everything for this mod sits in one quest chapter, resource_generation. It is the Mystical Agriculture progression line, and the Agradditions items show up as the top-tier extras. The quests have no titles in the pack files, so I'll refer to them by ID.[3]
The tool line
The backbone is a run of tool quests, one per essence tier. Each one accepts any single item from that tier's set: sword, pickaxe, shovel, axe, hoe, bow, crossbow, shears, fishing rod, sickle or scythe. The Agradditions paxel counts too, so you can finish each quest with the paxel if you want.[3]
- a quest in "Generating Resources" is the Inferium tier, and Inferium Paxel is accepted. It unlocks after a quest outside this mod's list.[3]
- "Prudentium Gear" quest is the Prudentium tier, and Prudentium Paxel is accepted. It needs the Inferium quest plus one other quest.[3]
- "Tertium Gear" quest is the Tertium tier, and Tertium Paxel is accepted. It follows the Prudentium quest plus one other quest.[3]
- "Imperium Gear" quest is the Imperium tier, and Imperium Paxel is accepted. It follows the Tertium quest plus one other quest.[3]
- "Supremium Gear" quest is the Supremium tier, and Supremium Paxel is accepted. It follows the Imperium quest plus one other quest.[3]
- "Awakened Supremium Gear" quest is the Awakened Supremium tier, and Awakened Supremium Paxel is accepted. It needs the Imperium quest and one other quest, so it branches off the line before Supremium instead of following it.[3]
Insanium and the crux items
The Agradditions-specific content opens with "Insanium Essence" quest, which asks you to obtain Insanium Essence. It unlocks after a quest outside this mod's list, and it is the gateway to the two quests below.[3]
- "Nether Star Seeds" quest has two tasks: Nether Star Seeds from Mystical Agriculture and the Nether Star Crux. It unlocks after the Insanium Essence quest.[3]
- "Dragon Egg Seeds" quest also has two tasks: Dragon Egg Seeds from Mystical Agriculture and the Dragon Egg Crux. It also unlocks after the Insanium Essence quest.[3]
The two crux quests both hang directly off Insanium Essence, so you can do them in either order.[3]
Farmland
"Understanding Essence Farmland" quest asks for farmland. It accepts any one of the Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium or Supremium farmland blocks from Mystical Agriculture, or Insanium Farmland from this mod. It unlocks after a quest outside this mod's list and is not tied to the tool line.[3]
Unverified The quest files don't show titles, descriptions or rewards for these quests, and the quests that unlock them are outside this mod's list. I can't tell you what the rewards are or how those earlier quests are worded.
Which Mystical Agradditions config options matter?
3 parts
The mod's common config is short. In this pack, every value that lists a mod default sits exactly on that default, so the pack did not change any of them. Here is what each option does and how the pack sets it.[6]
Drops and effects
- General.dragonScalesAmount is the number of Dragon Scales an Ender Dragon drops when killed. The pack sets it to 8, the same as the mod default. The allowed range is 0 to 64.[6]
- General.witheringSoulChance is the chance that a Wither drops a Withering Soul when killed. The pack uses 0.35, matching the mod default. Valid values run from 0.0 to 1.0.[6]
- General.essenceAppleDuration sets how long each Essence Apple's effects last, in seconds. The pack uses 180, which is also the mod default. The value must be greater than 1.[6]
Tier 6 crop fertilizing
General.fertilizableTier6Crops controls whether tier 6 crops can be fertilized using Mystical Fertilizer or Fertilized Essence. The pack has it set to true, so fertilizing tier 6 crops is allowed.[6]
Ore generation
The World section has one toggle for each of the Nether and End versions of Inferium Ore and Prosperity Ore. The pack has all of them set to true, so every one of these ores can generate in the world:[6]
- World.generateNetherInferiumOre covers Nether Inferium Ore.[6]
- World.generateNetherProsperityOre covers Nether Prosperity Ore.[6]
- World.generateEndInferiumOre covers End Inferium Ore.[6]
- World.generateEndProsperityOre covers End Prosperity Ore.[6]
