What is IntegratedDynamics?
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
This pack includes Integrated Dynamics version 1.16.1, built for Minecraft 1.18.2, and it has been in the pack since this release or earlier. If you want to match your setup to the pack, that's the version to look for.[1]
Unverified The available sources don't describe what Integrated Dynamics does, who it's aimed at, or where it fits in this pack's progression, so those details are left out here. Check in-game or the mod's own documentation for how its features work in this version.
How do you get started with IntegratedDynamics?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Integrated Dynamics is a logic and automation mod: you build a network out of cables, attach parts that read and write information, and wire values together with variable cards. Before any of that, though, you need the mod's own material, and that means going tree hunting.[2]
Find a Menril tree
Everything in this mod starts with Menril. Chop down a Menril tree, which is easiest to find in Meneglin biomes. Bring back plenty of logs, because the crystals you need come out of them.[2]
From there the chain is: process Menril Log into Menril Resin, then dry the resin to obtain Crystallized Menril. Crystallized Menril is the backbone material for cables, parts and variable cards.[2]
Build the processing machines
The pack has both machines you need for that chain available as normal crafting recipes. Make the Squeezer first, then the Drying Basin.[2][3]

Lay down a network
Logic Cables are what tie a network together. One of the mod's early milestones is a logic network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables, so craft a healthy stack rather than a handful.[2][3]

The Logic Programmer and your first variable
The Logic Programmer is the workbench of the mod. You open its GUI, pick values and operators, and write them onto a Variable Card, for example a constant Integer variable. Those cards are what you slot into parts later.[2]

Your first reader and display
Parts are the things that clip onto cables. The Redstone Reader is the classic first one: it turns a redstone signal into an Integer value you can capture on a variable card. Pair it with a Display Panel and you can put that Integer on a wall and watch it change.[2][3]

After that, the obvious next parts are the Redstone Writer, so a network can push a signal back out, and the Inventory Reader, Machine Reader and Block Reader for pulling information out of chests, machines and blocks in the world.[2][3]
Handy extras
- The Wrench is craftable in the pack and is the tool you'll see referenced for working with Integrated Dynamics blocks and parts.[3]
- The Labeller lets you name things; the Materializer turns a variable into a concrete value, and the Proxy lets you reference a variable from elsewhere on the network.[2][3]
- On the Dynamics of Integration is a craftable item in the pack, grab one and keep it handy as reading material.[3]

How does IntegratedDynamics work?
7 parts
IntegratedDynamics is built around logic networks. As the mod's language file describes it, you connect parts with Logic Cable, read values from the world, turn them into variables and write results back out, for example as redstone. The sources here show the pieces below, but not a full guide to every part, so this section sticks to what they confirm.[4]
Building a network
Everything starts with Logic Cable. The mod's own advancement for this asks you to build a logic network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables.[4]

Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/cable
Both cable recipes, this one and its rotated variant, make 3 Logic Cables.
Parts can target things that are not right next to them. As configured in this pack, machine.general.maxPartOffset is 32, which is the maximum offset in blocks a part can target.[6]
A directional connector can look further for its target: as configured in this pack, machine.general.maxDirectionalConnectorOffset is 512 blocks.[6]
Reading the world
Readers expose aspects of their target as values. These descriptions come from the language file, and each aspect describes the target's state at the moment it is read:[4]
- Energy: whether the target handles energy, whether energy can really be extracted or inserted, whether the buffer is empty or full, and the fill ratio (energy divided by capacity).[4]
- Fluid: whether the target has a tank, whether it is empty, non-empty or full, and the fill ratio of the active tank.[4]
- Inventory: whether the target has an inventory, whether it is empty, non-empty or full, and the number of non-empty slots divided by total slots.[4]
- Machine: whether the target is a worker, would be able to start working in its current state, has work to process, or is currently working. A separate aspect tells you if the target can handle recipes.[4]
- Redstone: whether the level is low, non-low or high, plus a clock aspect that pulses with a configurable length and interval.[4]
- World: day or night, weather (clear, raining, thunder), whether the target space holds an animal, mob, player, item or entity, and the ticks per second of the world.[4]
Variables and logic
Values become variables on Variable Cards, and you build logic in the Logic Programmer. The mod's advancements walk through the pieces: a Display Panel shows a variable's value, a Delayer can write a history variable, a Materializer can materialize a variable, and a Proxy can hold a proxy variable. They also describe feeding a variable that depends on a Delayer's own history back into that Delayer, which is how you build latches and toggles that end in a Redstone Writer.[4]

There is also a second Logic Programmer recipe that starts from the portable version.
As configured in this pack, core.general.operatorRecursionLimit is 256. It limits how deep the recursion stack on an operator can become, to avoid game crashes when building things like the omega operator.[6]
As configured in this pack, machine.delay.maxHistoryCapacity is 1,024, the maximum length of value history that can be maintained.[6]
Power
The Generator (shown in game as Generator) is the mod's basic power source. This pack sets its production to 20 RF/t with machine.coal_generator.energyPerTick.[5][6]
Crafting Shapeless
Energy Battery
- Furnace
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/coal_generator
Energy batteries have a default capacity of 1,000,000 in this pack's config, set by machine.energy_battery.capacity.[6]
How fast a battery can move energy is a fraction of its capacity: in this pack's config, machine.energy_battery.energyRateCapacityFraction is 2,000, meaning 1/2,000 of the capacity per tick.[6]
machine.energy_battery.minEnergyRate sets the minimum transfer rate per tick, and it is 2,000 in this pack's config.[6]
The maximum network energy transfer rate, core.general.energyRateLimit, is 2,147,483,647 in this pack's config.[6]
The Creative Energy Battery has a recipe added by the pack, using a Powah! energizing recipe.[5]
Energizing (powah)
Recipe id: allthemods:energizing/integrateddynamics_energy_battery_creative
Added by the pack.
Network parts have a base energy usage set in the config. These are the values this pack's config sets for a few of them:[6]
- general.general.blockReaderBaseConsumption is 1 for the block reader.[6]
- general.general.delayerBaseConsumption is 2 for the delayer.[6]
- general.general.proxyBaseConsumption is 2 for the proxy.[6]
- general.general.variablestoreBaseConsumption is 4 for the variable store.[6]
- general.general.connectorMonoDirectionalBaseConsumption is 32 for the mono-directional connector.[6]
- general.general.connectorOmniDirectionalBaseConsumption is 128 for the omni-directional connector.[6]
- general.general.panelDisplayBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1 for a display panel that has no variable.[6]
- general.general.panelDisplayBaseConsumptionEnabled is 2 for a display panel that has a variable.[6]
The network energy usage multiplier, general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier, is set to 0 in this pack's config.[6]
Mechanical machines
The mechanical squeezer and the mechanical drying basin both have an energy capacity and an energy consumption rate in the config. This pack's settings:[6]
- machine.mechanical_squeezer.capacity is 100,000 for the squeezer's energy capacity.[6]
- machine.mechanical_squeezer.consumptionRate is 80 for the squeezer's energy consumption rate.[6]
- machine.mechanical_squeezer.autoEjectFluidRate is 500, the mB per tick that can be auto-ejected.[6]
- machine.mechanical_drying_basin.capacity is 100,000 for the drying basin's energy capacity.[6]
- machine.mechanical_drying_basin.consumptionRate is 80 for the drying basin's energy consumption rate.[6]
The pack adds squeezer recipes that turn Experience Droplet into 250 mB of the XP fluid from Just Dire Things. The mechanical version of that recipe has a duration of 20. These recipes are only added when both Mystical Agriculture and Just Dire Things are loaded.[7]
Menril and resin
Menril is the mod's signature material. Its advancement says to process Menril Log into Menril Resin and dry it to obtain Crystallized Menril, and that Menril trees are most easily found in Meneglin biomes.[4]
In this pack's config, worldgeneration.menril_log_filled.filledMenrilLogChance is 10. It sets the 1/x chance that Menril wood is filled with resin when generated, so the higher the value, the lower the chance.[6]
You can also get Crystallized Menril from a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe, which makes Crystallized Menril Chunk and wax from a menril honeycomb.[5]
Menril Berries give the night vision effect when eaten in this pack, because item.menril_berries.nightVision is true.[5][6]
Performance and safety
- core.general.safeMode is off in this pack. If you switch it on, networks stop ticking and values are not shown or evaluated again. The config describes it as something to enable temporarily to fix a network that crashes the game.[6]
- core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is on in this pack's config, so corrupted networks are restored automatically on the first tick.[6]
- core.general.tickUnloadedNetworkElements is off in this pack's config, so network elements do not tick when their chunk is not loaded.[6]
- core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverThreads is 4 in this pack's config, the number of threads the ingredient network observer can use.[6]
- core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMin is 5 in this pack's config, the fastest frequency in ticks at which the ingredient network is observed.[6]
- core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMax is 40 in this pack's config, the slowest frequency in ticks at which the ingredient network is observed.[6]
- general.general.partsMinimumUpdateInterval is 1 in this pack's config, the minimum update interval in ticks enforced for all parts.[6]
How do you progress through IntegratedDynamics?
4 parts
Here is the honest picture for this pack: the sources I have do not lay out a step-by-step tier ladder for IntegratedDynamics. What they do show is the set of in-pack recipes, so this section groups what you can make and flags what the pack changes.[5]
Unverified Quest order and tier gating for this mod are not shown in the sources here. Where the pack's quest book places the mod (chapter, group, position) is told in the quest chapters themselves, so check there rather than relying on this page for an unlock order.
Starting the logic network
The backbone is the Logic Cable. Crafting gives you 3 cables per craft, and there is also a rotated version of the same recipe that makes 3 as well.[5]

The pack also adds a Productive Trees sawmill recipe that turns 2 Sawdust into 6 Menril Planks. The mod's own plank recipe makes 4 per craft.[5]
Sawmill (productivetrees)
Recipe id: allthemods:productivetrees/sawing/integrateddynamics/crafting/menril_planks
Pack-added sawmill recipe, 6 planks from 2 Sawdust.
A Productive Bees centrifuge recipe on the menril honeycomb gives you a Crystallized Menril Chunk plus Wax. See Productive Bees. Crafting also turns chunks into 9 more chunks per craft in the shapeless recipe listed.[5]
Crystallized Menril blocks, bricks, slabs and stairs have crafting recipes, and the dump also lists stonecutting recipes that turn a Block of Crystallized Menril into bricks, slabs and stairs. Crystallized Chorus has a matching crafting set, starting from the Crystallized Chorus Chunk.[5]
How does IntegratedDynamics work with other mods?
4 parts
IntegratedDynamics links up with several other mods in this pack through recipes and tags. Here is what the sources confirm.[5][7][8]
Integrated Terminals glass in the drying basin
IntegratedTerminals has glass items that are tied to materials from this mod: Chorus Glass and Menril Glass. Each has a recipe for the drying basin and another for the mechanical drying basin. The chorus glass recipes use 1,000 of Liquid Chorus, and the menril glass recipes use 1,000 of Menril Resin.[5]
Drying Basin (integrateddynamics)

Menril from Productive Bees and Productive Trees
Productive Bees can give you menril without a Menril tree. Its centrifuge recipe for the menril honeycomb outputs Crystallized Menril Chunk and Wax.[5]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/integrateddynamics/honeycomb_menril
Productive Trees connects through its sawmill. This pack adds a sawing recipe that turns Sawdust into Menril Planks. It is a pack addition, not a default recipe from either mod.[5]
Sawmill (productivetrees)
Recipe id: allthemods:productivetrees/sawing/integrateddynamics/crafting/menril_planks
Squeezing XP from Mystical Agriculture
If Mystical Agriculture, Just Dire Things and IntegratedDynamics are all loaded, the pack adds squeezer recipes that turn Experience Droplet into Xp Fluid Source. Both the squeezer and the mechanical squeezer have one, and each outputs an amount of 250. The mechanical version has a duration of 20.[7]
Integrated Crafting parts
The parts item tag from IntegratedDynamics includes these parts from IntegratedCrafting: Part Interface Crafting, Part Interface Crafting Attuned, Part Interface Crafting Enumerated and Part Crafting Writer.[8]
Unverified The pack also has KubeJS scripts for the basin and the squeezer (kubejs/server_scripts/mods/integrateddynamics/basin.js and squeezer.js), and others that touch this mod. The sources here do not show what they contain, so any further integrations they add are unverified.
Which IntegratedDynamics config options matter?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Everything for Integrated Dynamics lives in one file, config/integrateddynamics-common.toml. Below are the options you're most likely to touch, with the exact values this pack uses. The file doesn't say what the mod's own defaults are, so I can't tell you which of these the pack changed.[9]
Network energy
- general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier is set to 0. It's described as the energy usage multiplier for networks, so it's the first option to check if you wonder how much power your networks cost.[9]
- The per-part base costs are all listed separately. The mono-directional connector is 32 and the omni-directional connector is 128 (general.general.connectorMonoDirectionalBaseConsumption, general.general.connectorOmniDirectionalBaseConsumption). The variable store is 4, and the proxy and delayer are 2 each. Most readers and writers are 1, and both light panels are 0.[9]
- core.general.energyRateLimit, the maximum network energy transfer rate, is 2,147,483,647.[9]
Unverified The file doesn't confirm what an energy multiplier of 0 does in practice, or whether the pack changed it from the mod default. Test it in your own world before building around it.
Power and machines
- The coal generator produces 20 RF/t (machine.coal_generator.energyPerTick).[9]
- An energy battery holds 1,000,000 by default (machine.energy_battery.capacity). It can transfer 1/2000 of its capacity per tick (machine.energy_battery.energyRateCapacityFraction), and the minimum transfer rate is 2000 per tick (machine.energy_battery.minEnergyRate).[9]
- The mechanical squeezer and the mechanical drying basin each have an energy capacity of 100,000 and a consumption rate of 80. The squeezer can auto-eject 500 mB per tick (machine.mechanical_squeezer.autoEjectFluidRate).[9]
Reach and update speed
- Parts can target blocks up to 32 blocks away (machine.general.maxPartOffset). A directional connector can look up to 512 blocks for its target (machine.general.maxDirectionalConnectorOffset).[9]
- general.general.partsMinimumUpdateInterval is 1 tick, and machine.general.defaultPartUpdateFreq is also 1 tick. general.general.partMinimumUpdateIntervals is empty, so no part has its own forced minimum.[9]
Performance and troubleshooting
- core.general.safeMode is off. Turning it on temporarily stops networks from ticking, which is meant for fixing crashing networks.[9]
- core.general.tickUnloadedNetworkElements is false, so network elements don't tick in unloaded chunks. core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is true, so corrupted networks are restored on the first tick.[9]
- The ingredient network observer runs multithreaded with 4 threads. It observes between every 5 and 40 ticks (core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMin, core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMax).[9]
- core.general.operatorRecursionLimit is 256. It limits recursion depth to avoid crashes with things like the omega operator.[9]
- machine.cable.dynamicShape is true. The file says to disable it if you get FPS issues.[9]
Small extras
- The info book isn't handed out on first spawn (item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.obtainOnSpawn is false), but it can still give item rewards for tutorial completion.[9]
- Menril berries give night vision when eaten (item.menril_berries.nightVision is true).[9]
- The version checker is off, while the anonymous startup analytics option is on (core.general.versionChecker, core.general.analytics).[9]
