What is IntegratedDynamics?
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
This pack includes Integrated Dynamics version 1.16.1, built for Minecraft 1.18.2, and it has been in the pack since this release or earlier. If you want to match your setup to the pack, that's the version to look for.[1]
Unverified The available sources don't describe what Integrated Dynamics does, who it's aimed at, or where it fits in this pack's progression, so those details are left out here. Check in-game or the mod's own documentation for how its features work in this version.
How do you get started with IntegratedDynamics?
6 parts
Integrated Dynamics is a logic and automation mod: you build a network out of cables, attach parts that read and write information, and wire values together with variable cards. Before any of that, though, you need the mod's own material, and that means going tree hunting.[2]
Find a Menril tree
Everything in this mod starts with Menril. Chop down a Menril tree, which is easiest to find in Meneglin biomes. Bring back plenty of logs, because the crystals you need come out of them.[2]
From there the chain is: process Menril Log into Menril Resin, then dry the resin to obtain Crystallized Menril. Crystallized Menril is the backbone material for cables, parts and variable cards.[2]
Build the processing machines
The pack has both machines you need for that chain available as normal crafting recipes. Make the Squeezer first, then the Drying Basin.[2][3]

Lay down a network
Logic Cables are what tie a network together. One of the mod's early milestones is a logic network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables, so craft a healthy stack rather than a handful.[2][3]

The Logic Programmer and your first variable
The Logic Programmer is the workbench of the mod. You open its GUI, pick values and operators, and write them onto a Variable Card, for example a constant Integer variable. Those cards are what you slot into parts later.[2]

Your first reader and display
Parts are the things that clip onto cables. The Redstone Reader is the classic first one: it turns a redstone signal into an Integer value you can capture on a variable card. Pair it with a Display Panel and you can put that Integer on a wall and watch it change.[2][3]

After that, the obvious next parts are the Redstone Writer, so a network can push a signal back out, and the Inventory Reader, Machine Reader and Block Reader for pulling information out of chests, machines and blocks in the world.[2][3]
Handy extras
- The Wrench is craftable in the pack and is the tool you'll see referenced for working with Integrated Dynamics blocks and parts.[3]
- The Labeller lets you name things; the Materializer turns a variable into a concrete value, and the Proxy lets you reference a variable from elsewhere on the network.[2][3]
- On the Dynamics of Integration is a craftable item in the pack, grab one and keep it handy as reading material.[3]

How does IntegratedDynamics work?
6 parts
IntegratedDynamics is built around networks. You run Logic Cables between blocks, attach parts to the sides of those cables, and the whole connected structure behaves as one network that shares values, energy and ingredients. One of the mod's own milestones is simply building a logic network out of at least 10 connected Logic Cables, which tells you how the system starts: lay cable first, then decorate it with parts.[2]

The pack also ships a rotated variant, integrateddynamics:crafting/cable_rotated.
Readers: turning the world into values
Readers are parts you place on a cable facing a block, and they expose aspects: named values that describe whatever they are pointed at. The mod's milestones walk you through crafting a Block Reader, an Inventory Reader, a Machine Reader and a Redstone Reader, and there are Entity, Fluid, Audio, Network and Extra-Dimensional readers as well.[2][4]
- Inventory aspects tell you whether a target has an inventory at all, whether it is empty, full or non-empty, and the fill ratio, which is the number of non-empty slots divided by the total number of slots.[2]
- Energy aspects cover whether the target handles energy, whether energy can really be inserted or extracted (taking storage and capacity into account), whether the buffer is empty or full, and the fill ratio of energy over capacity.[2]
- Fluid aspects report whether the target has a tank, whether that tank is empty, full or non-empty, the fluid stack itself and the fill ratio of the active tank.[2]
- Machine aspects let you ask whether a target is a worker machine, whether it has work to process, whether it is currently working, and whether it could start working in its current state.[2]
- Redstone aspects give you low, non-low and high booleans plus a clock that pulses with a configurable length and interval, with pulse length measured in ticks.[2]
- World and entity aspects read day, night, clear, rain and thunder weather, ticks per second, whether the target space holds a block, item, entity, mob, animal or player, and the selected entity itself.[2]
- Extras include temperature in Kelvin (current, default, minimum and maximum), the value exposed by another network, and whether a target can handle recipes at all.[2]
Block Readers and Machine Readers go deeper than booleans. You can read the raw NBT tag from a block such as a Lectern, then apply an NBT path expression to pull a single field like a book's name out of it, and you can read the full list of recipes a machine like a Crafting Table supports, or look up the recipe of a Chest dynamically.[2]
Variables, operators and the Logic Programmer
Values move around on Variable Cards. The Logic Programmer is where you author them: you open its GUI, define constants such as an Integer, and combine values with operators. The mod's milestones include adding two numbers, building a static list of 1, 10 and 100, filtering that list down to just 10, invoking the addition operator dynamically, getting the mod name of an item, checking whether a Stone Pickaxe can break Obsidian, and even creating a Recipe visually inside the programmer.[2]

If you would rather carry your workbench with you, the pack includes shapeless conversions in both directions between the stationary programmer and the Portable Logic Programmer, so you are never stuck away from your variable setup.[3]

Use integrateddynamics:crafting/logic_programmer_from_portable to convert back.
Supporting blocks round the system out. A Display Panel shows a value in the world, which is how you check an Integer variable, show a Creeper's HP or admire an infinite list. A Materializer turns a computed variable into a fixed one. A Proxy lets you create a proxy variable so one definition can be referenced elsewhere, and Variable Input and Output Transformers move variables in and out. The Delayer, Labeller, Logic Director, Facade and Part Enhancement: Offset are all craftable in this pack too.[2][3]
Writers: acting on the world
Writers take a variable and push it back out. The classic example is a Redstone Writer emitting a maximal integer redstone level that a Redstone Reader picked up, and a redstone aspect lets you simulate a Redstone Torch instead of regular Redstone Dust when you need strong power. The pack also budgets energy for inventory, machine, entity, effect and audio writers, so the full writer family is present.[2][4]
Energy in this pack
Every part has a base energy usage, and the pack keeps those values small: readers, writers, the materializer and the network reader all sit at 1, the delayer at 2, a display panel at 1 without a variable and 2 with one, and the light panels at 0. The heavier draws are connectors, at 32 for mono-directional and 128 for omni-directional. The important detail is that general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier is set to 0 in this pack, and core.general.energyRateLimit is left at 2,147,483,647, so network transfer is effectively uncapped.[4]
Unverified The config does not spell out the formula, so exactly how a multiplier of 0 interacts with those base consumption values is worth testing in-game before you plan a power setup around it.
If you do want a power source on hand, the pack keeps the mod's own Generator and Energy Battery craftable.[3]

Menril processing
The mod's material chain starts with a Menril tree, which is easiest to find in a Meneglin biome. You process Menril Log into Menril Resin and then dry the resin to obtain Crystallized Menril, which is the base material for the rest of the mod's blocks and decorative variants.[2]

Performance and safety settings
Large ingredient networks are watched by an observer, and the pack tunes it for throughput: multithreading is enabled with 4 threads, the observation frequency ranges between 5 ticks at its fastest and 40 ticks at its slowest, the forced frequency after a position's contents change is 0, and the frequency increase and decrease factors are 1 and 5 ticks. Cable models are cached for rendering, and no per-part minimum update intervals are enforced.[4]
On the safety side, core.general.operatorRecursionLimit is 256, which stops recursive operator builds from crashing the game, and core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is on so corrupted networks are restored on the first tick. Network elements do not tick in unloaded chunks, and the compact number operator shows 1 to 3 integer digits and up to 2 fraction digits in short style.[4]
How do you progress through IntegratedDynamics?
5 parts
There are no quests for this mod in the pack, so progression here is driven purely by the recipe tree rather than a quest line. The good news is that the tree is almost entirely the mod's own recipes, untouched, with a couple of extra routes the pack layers on top. Work through it in roughly four steps: menril materials, the two basic processing machines, the logic network itself, and then the mechanical and advanced blocks.[3]
Tier 0: menril materials
Everything starts with menril. The pack keeps the normal wood chain, so Menril Log converts into Menril Wood, Stripped Menril Wood and Menril Planks, with the usual stairs, slabs, doors, fences and torches hanging off that. The crystal side gives you Crystallized Menril Chunk and Crystallized Chorus Chunk, plus their block, brick, stair and slab forms, and the menril blocks also have stonecutting recipes for the brick, stair and slab variants.[3]
If you'd rather not farm trees, the pack leaves you three alternate supply lines for the base materials.[3]
- Mystical Agriculture essence crafting produces Menril Log, Menril Sapling and Menril Berries.[3]
- A Productive Bees centrifuge recipe turns menril honeycomb into Crystallized Menril Chunk along with wax, which is the easiest crystal source once you have a bee setup.[3]
- The pack adds a sawmill recipe that makes Menril Planks from sawdust, so scrap wood can feed your plank supply.[3]

Tier 2: building the logic network
This is the tier where the mod actually becomes the mod. Logic Cable carries the network, the Logic Programmer and Variable Card give you programmable values, and the parts you attach to cables do the reading and writing. The pack ships the full part catalogue: inventory, fluid, machine, block, entity, redstone, audio, world, network and extradimensional readers, the matching inventory, machine, entity, redstone, audio and effect writers, and display, static light and dynamic light panels.[3]

Quality-of-life gear sits at the same tier: the Wrench for moving parts, the Labeller for naming variables, Facade for hiding cable, and On the Dynamics of Integration as the in-game reference book. You can also swap your bench programmer for a Portable Logic Programmer and back again, since the pack keeps recipes in both directions.[3]

Tier 3: advanced and mechanical
Once the network runs, the upgrades are the Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin for automated processing, plus the network utility blocks: Proxy, Delayer, Variable Store, Materializer, Logic Director, the Input Variable Transformer and Output Variable Transformer, and Part Enhancement: Offset for reaching blocks at a distance. Power comes from the Generator and Energy Battery.[3]

Endgame: the creative battery
The one genuinely new step the pack adds is the Creative Energy Battery, which is not a crafting recipe here at all. The pack gives it an energizing recipe instead, so it lands behind an energizing orb setup rather than being creative-only.[3]
Energizing (powah)

Unverified The exact ingredients, power costs and processing times for each tier are not covered by the sources used for this page, so check the in-game recipe viewer for the current values. This site does hold All the Mods 11's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does IntegratedDynamics work with other mods?
3 parts
In this pack, IntegratedDynamics links up with three other mods through recipes: Productive Trees, Integrated Terminals and Productive Bees. There are no quests that involve the mod, so everything here comes from recipes.[3]
Productive Trees: Menril Planks from Sawdust
The pack adds its own sawmill recipe that turns Sawdust into Menril Planks. It is not a default recipe from either mod, so don't expect to find it outside this pack.[3]
Sawmill (productivetrees)
Recipe id: allthemods:productivetrees/sawing/integrateddynamics/crafting/menril_planks
Added by the pack and made in the Productive Trees sawmill.
Integrated Terminals: Drying Basin glass
Integrated Terminals adds recipes for the Drying Basin and the Mechanical Drying Basin, both from IntegratedDynamics. They involve Chorus Glass with Liquid Chorus, and Menril Glass with Menril Resin. Each glass has a recipe in both basin types, and all four are plain mod recipes rather than pack changes.[3]

Unverified The recipe dump lists both the fluid or resin and the glass on the input side with no separate output, so the exact direction of these basin recipes is not confirmed here. Check the recipe blocks above before you build a setup around them.
Productive Bees: Menril honeycomb
Productive Bees has a centrifuge recipe for the Menril honeycomb, which gives you Crystallized Menril Chunk and Wax. This is a mod recipe, not a pack change. The dump shows no item inputs for it, so check the recipe below for what goes in.[3]

Which IntegratedDynamics config options matter?
5 parts
Everything for Integrated Dynamics lives in one file, config/integrateddynamics-common.toml. Below are the options you're most likely to touch, with the exact values this pack uses. The file doesn't say what the mod's own defaults are, so I can't tell you which of these the pack changed.[4]
Network energy
- general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier is set to 0. It's described as the energy usage multiplier for networks, so it's the first option to check if you wonder how much power your networks cost.[4]
- The per-part base costs are all listed separately. The mono-directional connector is 32 and the omni-directional connector is 128 (general.general.connectorMonoDirectionalBaseConsumption, general.general.connectorOmniDirectionalBaseConsumption). The variable store is 4, and the proxy and delayer are 2 each. Most readers and writers are 1, and both light panels are 0.[4]
- core.general.energyRateLimit, the maximum network energy transfer rate, is 2,147,483,647.[4]
Unverified The file doesn't confirm what an energy multiplier of 0 does in practice, or whether the pack changed it from the mod default. Test it in your own world before building around it.
Power and machines
- The coal generator produces 20 RF/t (machine.coal_generator.energyPerTick).[4]
- An energy battery holds 1,000,000 by default (machine.energy_battery.capacity). It can transfer 1/2000 of its capacity per tick (machine.energy_battery.energyRateCapacityFraction), and the minimum transfer rate is 2000 per tick (machine.energy_battery.minEnergyRate).[4]
- The mechanical squeezer and the mechanical drying basin each have an energy capacity of 100,000 and a consumption rate of 80. The squeezer can auto-eject 500 mB per tick (machine.mechanical_squeezer.autoEjectFluidRate).[4]
Reach and update speed
- Parts can target blocks up to 32 blocks away (machine.general.maxPartOffset). A directional connector can look up to 512 blocks for its target (machine.general.maxDirectionalConnectorOffset).[4]
- general.general.partsMinimumUpdateInterval is 1 tick, and machine.general.defaultPartUpdateFreq is also 1 tick. general.general.partMinimumUpdateIntervals is empty, so no part has its own forced minimum.[4]
Performance and troubleshooting
- core.general.safeMode is off. Turning it on temporarily stops networks from ticking, which is meant for fixing crashing networks.[4]
- core.general.tickUnloadedNetworkElements is false, so network elements don't tick in unloaded chunks. core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is true, so corrupted networks are restored on the first tick.[4]
- The ingredient network observer runs multithreaded with 4 threads. It observes between every 5 and 40 ticks (core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMin, core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMax).[4]
- core.general.operatorRecursionLimit is 256. It limits recursion depth to avoid crashes with things like the omega operator.[4]
- machine.cable.dynamicShape is true. The file says to disable it if you get FPS issues.[4]
Small extras
- The info book isn't handed out on first spawn (item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.obtainOnSpawn is false), but it can still give item rewards for tutorial completion.[4]
- Menril berries give night vision when eaten (item.menril_berries.nightVision is true).[4]
- The version checker is off, while the anonymous startup analytics option is on (core.general.versionChecker, core.general.analytics).[4]
