What is IntegratedDynamics?
1 part
Integrated Dynamics is all about logistics: moving, managing and storing your items. All the Mods 10 8.1 ships version 1.35.0, and the mod has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier, so it's a well-established part of the pack.[1][2]
The big selling point is how its Logic Cable works. Pipez or Mekanism pipes act like hoppers: items move out of one inventory, into the pipe, then into the next inventory. Logic Cables skip that middle step, which also skips a lot of lag. The cables only connect Importers and Interfaces, and the pack's quests recommend Integrated Dynamics as the least laggy pipe solution.[2]
Integrated Dynamics works whether you just want to move items or you want to build real automation logic. For simple item moving, you put a Variable Card into an Importer and maybe change the limit for how much gets moved. If you want to go further, the Logic Programmer sets variables to items, fluids or values for filtering, and the Variable Store can be part of advanced networks.[2][3]
Where it fits in the quests
You meet the mod first in the Basic Logistics chapter. It starts with "Integrated Dynamics" quest and then covers Logic Cables and Variable Cards. The dedicated Integrated Dynamics chapter walks you through the full progression, roughly in this order:[2][3]
- Build a Squeezer, put Menril Logs in it and jump on it to make Menril Resin. A redstone signal empties it. Along the way you can snack on Menril Berries for a short burst of Night Vision.[3]
- Place a Drying Basin next to the Squeezer to catch the resin. After 7.5 seconds it turns into a Block of Crystallized Menril.[3]
- Craft those blocks into Crystallized Menril Chunk, the mod's main crafting ingredient, which completes "Crystallized Menril Chunks" quest.[3]
- With chunks in hand, the chapter branches into Logic Cables, Variable Cards, the Wrench, the Energy Battery and the Generator, plus the energy-powered Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin.[3]
- The advanced part covers the Logic Programmer, the Portable Logic Programmer and the Variable Store.[3]
How do you get started with IntegratedDynamics?
7 parts
Integrated Dynamics is all about logistics: moving, managing and storing items. The pack's quests recommend it as the least laggy pipe solution. Almost everything in the mod is built from one material, so your first goal is a steady supply of Crystallized Menril Chunk. You can follow along in the "Integrated Dynamics" quest quest line.[2][3]
Step 1: Find a Menril tree
Start by chopping down a Menril tree. They are easiest to find in Meneglin biomes. Grab some Menril Berries while you're there, because eating them gives you Night Vision for a short time.[3][4]
Step 2: Squeeze the logs into resin
Craft a Squeezer and place some Menril Logs in it. Jump on the Squeezer to turn the logs into Menril Resin. You can empty the Squeezer by giving it a Redstone signal.[3]
Step 3: Dry the resin
The Menril Resin flows out to 2 sides of the Squeezer. Place a Drying Basin next to the Squeezer and it will pick the resin up. After 7.5 seconds the resin turns into a Block of Crystallized Menril.[3]

Step 4: Make Crystallized Menril Chunks
Craft your Blocks of Crystallized Menril into Crystallized Menril Chunk. These chunks are the main crafting ingredient of the whole mod, so make plenty. The "Crystallized Menril Chunks" quest quest marks this milestone.[3]

Step 5: Your first network pieces
Grab a Wrench just in case. The quests note you might not even need it, but it rotates or destroys certain blocks, and you shift right-click in the air to change its mode.[2][3]

Next, make some Logic Cable. Other pipes work like hoppers: items move from one inventory into the pipe, then into the second inventory. Logic Cables skip that middle step, which also cuts out a lot of lag. They only connect Importers and Interfaces.[2][3]

Then craft Variable Card. You need them to start interactions like importing items. Put one in a slot of an Importer, then edit it with the + button. From there you can change how much is imported, which item slot and which channel are used, and more. If you only want to move items, just put the card in and maybe change the limit for how much is moved.[2][3]

Unverified The recipes for the Importer and Interface parts are not included in the sources for this section, so check them in your recipe viewer. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Step 6: Power and upgrades
The Energy Battery stores FE. To move that energy around, you'll need Energy Interfaces. You can combine Batteries in a crafting grid to increase their total storage.[3][6]

Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/energy_battery
The Generator makes FE from burnable fuels like Coal. With power running, you can upgrade to the Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin. Both use energy, so you no longer have to squeeze and dry Menril by hand.[3]
Step 7: Getting advanced
Once the basics work, craft a Logic Programmer. It lets you set the value of Variable Cards, for example to an item for filtering. Select Item on the left, place the item you want in the center slot and put a Variable Card in the bottom right slot. When you put that card in an importer or exporter, it will only import or export that item.[3]
How does IntegratedDynamics work?
7 parts
Integrated Dynamics runs on logic networks. You connect parts with Logic Cable, read values from blocks, entities and the world, turn those values into variables, and then display them or act on them. There are no big processing multiblocks here. The depth comes from what your network can read, calculate and write.[4]
Menril: the resource behind everything
Your first job is finding a Menril tree, which is easiest in Meneglin biomes. You process Menril Log into Menril Resin, then dry the resin to get Crystallized Menril. Drying happens in the Drying Basin, so craft one early.[4]

Once you have Crystallized Menril Chunk, you can make Logic Cables. Chunks and blocks convert back and forth, so you can store Menril compactly and break it down when you need it.[5]

Readers: getting information into the network
Readers are parts that face a target and expose aspects, which are individual values about that target. The mod rewards you for building a logic network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables, so plan on cables linking several readers and writers together.[4]
- The Inventory Reader can tell you if the target has an inventory, if all slots are empty or full, and the fill ratio: non-empty slots divided by total slots.[4]
- Fluid aspects cover whether the target has a tank, whether it is empty or full, the fluid inside, and the fill ratio of the active tank.[4]
- Energy aspects work with FE. They show whether the target handles FE at all, whether FE can really be inserted or extracted (taking storage and capacity into account), whether the buffer is empty or full, and the stored FE divided by capacity.[4]
- The Machine Reader shows whether the target is a worker machine, whether it has work, whether it could start working, and whether it is currently working. It can also read the list of recipes from a machine like the Crafting Table.[4]
- The Block Reader can check for a block and read NBT data from machines like the Lectern.[4]
- The Redstone Reader reads redstone levels (high, low or any signal) and offers a clock aspect that pulses with a configurable length and interval.[4]
- World aspects include day or night, weather, ticks per second, and whether the target space holds a player, mob, animal, item or entity. There are also temperature aspects, reported in Kelvin.[4]
Writers: acting on what you read
Writers push values back into the world. A Redstone Writer can output a redstone level read by a Redstone Reader. It also has options to simulate a Redstone Torch instead of regular Redstone Dust, and to emit pulses with a set value and a duration in ticks.[4]
Here is a good example of what you can build. Pair an Entity Reader with a Redstone Writer pointing straight at a door, match the entity name with the equals operator, and the door opens automatically when the right player walks past.[4]
Variables, logic and display
Values travel around the network as Variable Card items. You can make a card from a reader aspect, such as a redstone Integer, or define constants in the Logic Programmer. The Logic Programmer also builds operators, static lists, list filters and even recipes. Put a card in a Display Panel to see its value.[4]
A few blocks help you manage variables. You can hold cards in a Variable Store, create proxy variables in a Proxy, and materialize a variable in a Materializer. The Input and Output Variable Transformers and the Delayer are also part of this toolkit.[4][5]

Unverified The exact behaviour of the Delayer, the Variable Transformers and Part Enhancement: Offset is not described in the available sources.
Energy in All the Mods 10
Every part has a base energy usage in the config, but this pack sets the network energy usage multiplier, general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier, to 0. The maximum network energy transfer rate, core.general.energyRateLimit, is set to 2,147,483,647.[7]
- The omni-directional connector has a base usage of 128, and the mono-directional connector has 32.[7]
- The Variable Store has a base usage of 4, and the Proxy has 2.[7]
- A Display Panel uses 2 with a variable inserted and 1 without one.[7]
- Most readers and writers, plus the Materializer, have a base usage of 1. The static and dynamic light panels use 0.[7]
Unverified The sources do not confirm whether a multiplier of 0 means your networks need no power at all in this pack. Test a small network before building a power setup for it.
If you do want power, the Energy Battery stores energy, and it is also an ingredient for the Generator.[5]

How often item and fluid networks are checked
The ingredient network observer controls how often networks are checked for changes. In this pack it runs between every 5 ticks at its fastest and every 40 ticks at its slowest. Multithreading is enabled, with 4 threads.[7]
Limits and troubleshooting
Operators can only recurse 256 levels deep, which stops things like the omega operator from crashing your game. Corrupted networks are set to be restored automatically on the first tick.[7]
How do you progress through IntegratedDynamics?
5 parts
Integrated Dynamics in this pack is all about logistics: moving, managing and storing items. The quests even call its cables the least laggy pipe solution and recommend them. Your entry point is the "Integrated Dynamics" quest quest in the Basic Logistics chapter, which asks for a Wrench. From there the dedicated Integrated Dynamics chapter walks you through the rest.[2][3]
Tier 1: Crystallized Menril
Everything starts with Menril. The Crystallized Menril Chunk is the main crafting ingredient for the whole mod, so getting a steady supply is your first real goal.[3]
- Build a Squeezer (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics"). Put Menril Log in it and jump on it to turn the logs into Menril Resin. A redstone signal empties the Squeezer.[3]
- The resin comes out of 2 sides of the Squeezer. Place a Drying Basin next to it to catch the resin (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics"). After 7.5 seconds the resin becomes a Block of Crystallized Menril.[3]
- Craft the blocks into chunks to finish "Crystallized Menril Chunks" quest.[3]

Menril Berries are a nice side find too (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics"). Eating one gives you Night Vision for a short time.[3]
Tier 2: Cables, cards and transformers
Once you have chunks, "Logic Cables" quest unlocks networking. Logic Cables don't act like hopper-style pipes that pass items through themselves. They skip the middle man, which also skips a lot of lag. Their job is just to connect Importers and Interfaces.[2][3]

Next come "Variable Cards" quest. A Variable Card goes into an Importer slot to start an interaction such as importing items. From there you tune the amount, item slot, channel and more with the + button. For plain item moving, just slot it in and maybe adjust the limit.[2][3]

Tier 3: Power and automated Menril
The Energy Battery (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics") stores FE, and you move that energy with Energy Interfaces. The Basic Power chapter also points out that you can combine batteries in a crafting grid to increase their total storage.[3][6]

The battery opens up three machines. The Generator makes FE from burnable fuels like coal. The Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin run on energy, so you no longer have to squeeze and dry Menril by hand. Each of these three recipes uses an Energy Battery, and the two mechanical versions also use the basic Squeezer or Drying Basin.[3][5]

Tier 4: Getting advanced
The Logic Programmer (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics") lets you set variable values, such as an item or fluid for filtering. For example, choose Item, put your item in the center slot and a Variable Card in the bottom-right slot. An importer or exporter using that card will then move only that item.[3]
The Portable Logic Programmer does the same job but works anywhere, and you can craft between the two versions. The Variable Store works as a chest for your variables and also has a role in advanced networks. For those, the quests recommend reading On the Dynamics of Integration.[3][5]

Endgame: Creative Energy Battery
The final tier is the Creative Energy Battery ("Creative Energy Battery" quest), which unlocks after the Fully Automated ATM Star quest. The pack adds it as an energizing recipe using Energy Batteries and an ATM Star. The quest says you need 4 batteries and a Star, charged with as much energy as Minecraft can handle, which is the integer limit. In return you get the easiest infinite energy storage.[5][8]

How does IntegratedDynamics work with other mods?
4 parts
Integrated Dynamics isn't a mod that stands alone in All the Mods 10. The pack adds its own recipes that connect it to Powah, Mekanism and Productive Trees. It also changes the BiblioCraft furniture recipes that use Menril wood. Here's where those connections show up.[5]
Endgame power: the Creative Energy Battery
The biggest connection is the Creative Energy Battery. The pack adds a Powah energizing recipe that turns a regular Energy Battery into the creative version, so the ID battery becomes part of the ATM endgame.[5]
Energizing (powah)

The quest "Creative Energy Battery" quest sits in the Creative chapter, after the Fully Automated ATM Star quest. It calls this the easiest infinite energy storage. The catch is the energizing cost: you need as much energy as Minecraft can handle, literally the integer limit.[8]
Sawing Menril logs
You don't have to hand-craft your Menril wood. The pack adds a Mekanism sawing recipe that turns any Menril log into Menril Planks and also gives you Sawdust.[5]

BiblioCraft furniture in Menril wood
If you want your logistics room to match, Menril Slab is used to craft BiblioCraft furniture in Menril wood. That includes display cases, seats and several seat backs (small, tall, flat, raised and fancy), each in different wool colors. The pack has changed these recipes, so check the in-game recipe rather than the mod's default.[5]

Integrated Dynamics in other quest chapters
- The Basic Logistics chapter starts with "Integrated Dynamics" quest. It presents Integrated Dynamics as a logistics mod for moving, managing and storing items, and recommends it as the least laggy pipe solution.[2]
- In the same chapter, a quest in "Basic Logistics" compares Logic Cable with Pipez and Mekanism pipes. Those pipes work like hoppers: items move from one inventory into the pipe, then into the next inventory. Logic Cables skip that middle step, which also cuts out a lot of lag.[2]
- The Basic Power chapter includes "Integrated Dynamics: Energy Battery" quest, which presents the Energy Battery as a simple power storage option alongside the pack's other power mods.[6]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use IntegratedDynamics?
3 parts
Integrated Dynamics has quests in four chapters of this pack. You get a quick intro in Basic Logistics, the full walkthrough in its own Integrated Dynamics chapter, the Energy Battery in Basic Power, and an endgame battery in Chapter 4: Creative.[2][3][6][8]
Basic Logistics: your first taste
The chapter starts with the "Integrated Dynamics" quest quest, which asks for a Wrench. The quest calls the mod the least laggy pipe solution and recommends it for moving, managing and storing items.[2]
- a quest in "Basic Logistics" asks for a Logic Cable. Logic Cables don't carry items through the cable like Pipez or Meka pipes. They move items straight from one inventory to the other, which skips a lot of lag. Their job is to connect Importers and Interfaces.[2]
- a quest in "Basic Logistics" asks for a Variable Card. You put it into an Importer slot and use the + button to change things like the amount moved, the item slot and the channel.[2]
The Integrated Dynamics chapter
This chapter branches off the Integrated Dynamics quest and takes you from raw Menril to programmable networks. Here's the order the quests unlock in:[2][3]
- Two quests open first. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for Menril Berries, which give you Night Vision for a short time when you eat them. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Squeezer. You place Menril Logs in it and jump on it to make Menril Resin, and a Redstone signal empties it.[3]
- a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Drying Basin. The resin flows out of 2 sides of the Squeezer, and a Drying Basin placed next to it picks the resin up. After 7.5 seconds the resin becomes a Block of Crystallized Menril.[3]
- "Crystallized Menril Chunks" quest asks for Crystallized Menril Chunk, which you craft from those blocks. These chunks are the main crafting ingredient of the whole mod.[3]
- The chunks unlock three quests: "Logic Cables" quest, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for an Energy Battery that stores FE and needs Energy Interfaces to transfer it, and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for the Wrench. The Wrench rotates or destroys certain blocks, and you shift right-click in the air to change its mode.[3]
- Logic Cables lead to "Variable Cards" quest. That quest then opens a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for the Input Variable Transformer and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for the Output Variable Transformer. The quest describes the Input Variable Transformer as a crafting ingredient for anything that imports items, fluids or energy.[3]
- The Energy Battery opens the power branch. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Generator, which burns fuels like Coal for FE. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Mechanical Squeezer and also needs the Squeezer quest. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Mechanical Drying Basin and also needs the Drying Basin quest. Both machines run on energy.[3]
- The advanced part starts with a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for the Logic Programmer. It unlocks a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for the Portable Logic Programmer, a version you can use anywhere. It also unlocks a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for the Variable Store, which works as a chest for your Variables or as part of an advanced network.[3]
Basic Power and Creative
In Basic Power, "Integrated Dynamics: Energy Battery" quest asks for an Energy Battery and comes after the Storing Power quest. You can combine batteries in a crafting grid to increase their total storage.[6]
Chapter 4: Creative has "Creative Energy Battery" quest, which asks for an Creative Energy Battery and unlocks after the Fully Automated ATM Star quest. The quest calls it the easiest infinite energy storage.[8]
Which IntegratedDynamics config options matter?
4 parts
Integrated Dynamics has a big common config, but only a handful of options change how the mod plays for you. Everything below is the value All the Mods 10 8.1 ships in general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier's file. Each part also has its own base energy cost listed there if you want to dig deeper.[7]
Power and energy
The big one is general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier, the energy usage multiplier for networks. In this pack it is set to 0. That multiplier is applied to the per-part base costs, such as 1 for most readers and writers, 4 for the variable store and 128 for the omni-directional connector.[7]
Unverified With the multiplier at 0, your networks likely don't need any power at all. The sources also don't show whether this value differs from the mod's own default.
If you still use batteries, machine.energy_battery.capacity is 1,000,000. machine.energy_battery.energyRateCapacityFraction is 2000, so a battery can move 1/2000 of its capacity per tick. machine.energy_battery.minEnergyRate also guarantees at least 2000 per tick.[7]
The Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin each hold 100,000 energy and use 80 at a time. The squeezer can auto-eject 500 mB per tick.[7]
Reach and timing of parts
- machine.general.maxPartOffset is 32, the maximum number of blocks away a part can target.[7]
- machine.general.maxDirectionalConnectorOffset is 512, the maximum distance in blocks a directional connector can look for its target.[7]
- machine.general.defaultPartUpdateFreq is 1, so new parts update every tick by default.[7]
- core.general.operatorRecursionLimit is 256, which caps how deep operator recursion can go so crazy builds like the omega operator don't crash the game.[7]
When a network breaks
core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is on, so corrupted networks are restored automatically on the first tick. core.general.safeMode is off. If a network keeps crashing your game, you can temporarily turn safe mode on to stop networks from ticking and evaluating values while you fix it.[7]
Early game and world
- item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.obtainOnSpawn is off, so you won't get the info book automatically when you first spawn. item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.bookRewards is also off, so finishing its tutorials gives no item rewards.[7]
- item.menril_berries.nightVision is on, so eating Menril Berries gives you night vision.[7]
- worldgeneration.menril_log_filled.filledMenrilLogChance is 10, meaning generated Menril Wood has a 1 in 10 chance to be filled with Menril Resin.[7]
