What is IntegratedTunnels?
2 parts
IntegratedTunnels is the mod you use to move items, fluids and energy between blocks with cables. The pack includes version 1.10.0, and it has been in the pack since 2.25 or earlier.[1]
The basic setup is always the same. Put an importer on the inventory or tank you want to pull from. Put an interface on the second one. Join them with Logic Cables, then put a Variable Card in the importer and edit it to control what moves. The quests say a card can be set to move things at the Integer Limit, which is over 2 billion.[2][3]
The parts you will meet
- Importers for items, fluids and energy: Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid and Part Importer Energy.[2]
- Interfaces for items, fluids and energy: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. An interface reads whatever it is looking at, much like an AE2 Storage Bus. A chest holding 100 Cobblestone with an interface on it means your network has 100 Cobblestone.[2][3]
- Exporters, which work like importers but send things out instead, such as Part Exporter Item.[3]
- World variants of the importers and exporters, such as Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Item.[3]
Where it shows up in the quests
The Basic Logistics chapter walks you through importing with "Item Importing" quest, "Fluid Importing" quest and "Energy Importing" quest. The Integrated Dynamics chapter covers interfaces, importing and exporting, and its interface quest comes after Crystallized Menril Chunks.[2][3]
Unverified The sources do not show IntegratedTunnels on the ATM Star quest path, and they give no platform metadata or in-jar guidebook for it.
How do you get started with IntegratedTunnels?
5 parts
IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy over Integrated Dynamics Logic Cables. Every setup starts the same way: an interface on one block, an importer or exporter on another, and a cable between them. Here is the order I'd go in.[2][3]
Step one: make an interface
Start with the Part Interface Item. An interface reads whatever it is attached to, a bit like an AE2 Storage Bus. If a chest holds 100 Cobblestone and has an interface on it, your Integrated Dynamics network counts 100 Cobblestone. The pack's quest for this is a quest in "Integrated Dynamics". Fluid and energy have their own versions, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy.[3]

Step two: make an importer
Next comes the Part Importer Item, which pulls from the inventory it sits on. The pack's "Item Importing" quest quest in the Basic Logistics chapter has the Item Importer and the Item Interface as its tasks.[2]

Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_importer_item
Step three: hook it up
- Put the Item Importer onto the inventory you want items pulled from.[2]
- Put the Item Interface on the second inventory.[2]
- Connect the two with Logic Cables.[2]
- Put a Variable Card into the Importer and change it as you please. It can be set to import items at the Integer Limit, which is over 2 billion.[2]
Fluids and energy
Fluids work the same way. Put the Part Importer Fluid on a tank that holds liquid and the Fluid Interface where you want the fluid to go. It only moves fluids from one tank to another, and it does not place or take fluid sources in the world. The quest is "Fluid Importing" quest.[2]
Energy follows the same pattern with the Part Importer Energy and the Energy Interface, as in "Energy Importing" quest.[2]
Exporters and what comes after
Exporters work like importers, but they export instead of pulling. The Part Exporter Item is a good first one to try.[3]

Once the basics click, the World variants act on the world around them. The advancements describe picking up 5 items at a time with a World Item Importer, breaking stone with a World Block Importer, and dropping items with a World Item Exporter. The Part Player Simulator is a further step up, and its recipe uses the world block and world item importer and exporter parts.[4][5]
How does IntegratedTunnels work?
7 parts
IntegratedTunnels is all about parts that move items, fluids and energy. Every part comes in an item, fluid or energy flavour, plus world-facing versions that act on blocks, entities and dropped items. Here is how the pieces fit together and what they cost to run in this pack.[4][5]
Interfaces: the entry point
Everything starts with an interface: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid or Part Interface Energy. In this pack's config their base energy usage is 0, so sitting in your network costs nothing.[4][6]

Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_item
If you want to control what passes through an interface, craft a filtering version such as Part Interface Filter Item. It is made from the matching plain interface, so you can upgrade one you already have.[4]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_filter_item
The mod's own advancement descriptions show what filtering interfaces can do. One only exposes an inventory's contents during daytime. Another only passes items from a certain mod.[5]
Importers and exporters
Importers pull things into the network and exporters push things out of it. You get one of each for items, fluids and energy, for example Part Importer Item and Part Exporter Item. Each one is crafted from the interface of the same type.[4]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_importer_item
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_exporter_item
The mod's descriptions say importers and exporters are driven by a boolean you supply. For items, for example, "Import items if the boolean is true" and "Export items if the boolean is true". Fluids and energy work the same way. The advancement text also shows that an exporter can be driven by a list of items, or by an operator such as the Enchantable Operator.[5]
In this pack's config, the base energy usage of the item importer and exporter is 1, for example general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterItemBaseConsumption. The fluid and energy importers and exporters are set to 1 as well. The config doesn't state the unit.[6]
World parts
The world versions work on the block or entities in front of them. Block parts like Part Importer World Block pick up blocks, and Part Exporter World Block places them. The world item, fluid and energy parts also have entity-facing aspects. These import from or export to the facing entities.[4][5]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_exporter_world_block
World parts have a different base energy cost depending on whether a variable is set. For the world block exporter, general.general.exporterWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1 and general.general.exporterWorldBlockBaseConsumptionEnabled is 32.[6]
The world item, fluid and energy importers and exporters follow the same pattern, with settings ending in Disabled and Enabled. The block and item importers do too, for example general.general.importerWorldItemBaseConsumptionEnabled.[6]
Several world aspects take numeric settings. Offsets on each axis are values between 0 and 1. Yaw and pitch run from -180 to 180 degrees. Entity velocity is between 0 and 25. The entity index picks the n-th entity, and -1 always picks a random one.[5]
The world block option "break no drops" only breaks a block if it produces drops. "Match block" matches the item form of the block instead of its dropped items.[5]
Player Simulator
Part Player Simulator clicks like a player. It can click with any item or with an empty hand. Optionally it simulates sneaking, and it can hold a continuous click. If continuous click is off, each click takes one tick. In this pack its base usage is 1 without a variable and 64 with one.[4][5][6]

Filtering and matching options
The mod exposes a lot of matching toggles. These are the ones that matter most for automation:[5]
- Blacklist: handle everything except the items in the given list.[5]
- Empty is any: an empty value matches everything. Otherwise it matches nothing.[5]
- Exact amount and check stack size: only move things when the amount matches exactly, not less.[5]
- NBT require, subset, superset and recursive: control how NBT tags are compared for items and fluids.[5]
- Round robin: iterate interfaces in circular order and ignore priorities.[5]
- Craft: craft the instance if it is not present in the network.[5]
Filtering interfaces also have options for whether the filter applies to insertions into the network or to extractions from it. A separate option decides whether everything passes when the filter is disabled for one of those directions.[5]
Reading the network
The mod can also report on your storage. Aspects return the number of valid item or fluid interfaces, the list of items or fluids in the network, the total count and the upper limit of what it can hold. A count-by-item or count-by-fluid operator reports how much of one specific thing you have.[5]
Performance and safety settings
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout is 10. This is how many ticks importers and exporters sleep before re-checking targets that were previously unchanged.[6]
- core.general.fluidRateLimit is 2,147,483,647, the maximum network fluid transfer rate.[6]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnBlockDropOverflow is true. Items that don't fit the target when a block is broken are ejected into the world. Otherwise they would be voided.[6]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnInconsistentSimulationMovement is true. Items are ejected if an item handler reports inconsistent movement in simulation mode. With it disabled, items can be voided.[6]
- core.general.worldInteractionEvents is true, so particles and sounds play when tunnels interact with the world.[6]
How do you progress through IntegratedTunnels?
5 parts
IntegratedTunnels has no single tier ladder in this pack. Instead you move through a chain of parts, each crafted from the one before it, and the pack's quests cover importers, exporters and interfaces along the way. Here's the order that makes sense, from first interface to the Player Simulator.[2][3][4]
Start here: Interfaces
Everything starts with the interfaces. The quest a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" comes after Crystallized Menril Chunks and accepts any of Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid or Part Interface Energy. The quest compares an interface to an AE2 Storage Bus: it reads whatever it is attached to, so a chest holding 100 Cobblestone means your network has 100 Cobblestone.[3]

Step 2: Importers and exporters
Next come the importers, which pull from one container and push into an interface. The Basic Logistics chapter has a quest for each resource: "Item Importing" quest for items, "Fluid Importing" quest for fluids and "Energy Importing" quest for energy. Each one asks for the matching importer and interface.[2]

The setup is the same each time. Put the importer on the source, put the interface on the destination, connect them with Logic Cables, then edit the Variable Card inside the importer. The item quest says the card can be changed to import items at the Integer Limit, which it describes as over 2 billion.[2]
Exporters work like importers but in the other direction, per the a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" quest. That quest accepts Part Exporter Item, Part Exporter Fluid, Part Exporter Energy and the world exporters.[3]

Step 3: World variants
The general a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" quest accepts the world importers as well as the plain ones: Part Importer World Item, Part Importer World Fluid, Part Importer World Energy and Part Importer World Block. The exporting quest accepts the matching world exporters, including Part Exporter World Block. The world block parts need a diamond pickaxe in their recipes.[3][4]

How does IntegratedTunnels work with other mods?
2 parts
IntegratedTunnels is built around Integrated Dynamics. Every IntegratedTunnels part recipe in the pack takes at least one Integrated Dynamics item, and a few also take plain Minecraft items.[4]
Integrated Dynamics crafting chain
The parts form a ladder. The interfaces for items, fluids and energy are the base. Each importer and exporter is crafted from the matching interface plus an Integrated Dynamics transformer: the Input Variable Transformer for importers and the Output Variable Transformer for exporters. The world-facing versions are crafted from the regular importers and exporters with a Logic Director.[4]

In the quest book, the interface quest comes after the Crystallized Menril Chunks quest in the Integrated Dynamics chapter. That chapter also has the general Importing and Exporting quests, which cover every importer and exporter variant, including the world versions.[3]
How the quests tie it together
The Integrated Dynamics chapter explains the setup. An interface reads whatever it is attached to, and the quest compares this to an AE2 Storage Bus. An importer goes on the inventory you pull from, an interface goes on the second inventory, and Logic Cables connect them. After that you put a Variable Card into the importer and edit it. The exporting quest says exporters work like importers, only in the other direction. See a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics".[3]
The Basic Logistics chapter walks through the three transfer types. "Item Importing" quest covers items and says a Variable Card can raise the import amount to the integer limit, which is over 2 billion. "Fluid Importing" quest covers fluids and says the Fluid Importer only moves fluids from one tank to another. It does not place or take fluid sources in the world. "Energy Importing" quest covers moving energy between a power source and an Energy Interface.[2]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use IntegratedTunnels?
2 parts
IntegratedTunnels shows up in two quest chapters in this pack: Basic Logistics and Integrated Dynamics. Basic Logistics has a hands-on setup quest for each resource type. Integrated Dynamics has broader quests on interfaces, importing and exporting.[2][3]
Basic Logistics
Three quests here teach the same basic setup. Each one asks for an importer and a matching interface, and all three unlock after the same two earlier quests. Once those are done, you can take them in any order.[2]
- "Item Importing" quest asks for the Part Importer Item and the Part Interface Item. You put the importer on the inventory you pull from and the interface on the second inventory, then connect them with Logic Cables and put a Variable Card into the importer. The quest says the card can be set to import items at the integer limit (over 2 billion).[2]
- "Fluid Importing" quest asks for the Part Importer Fluid and the Part Interface Fluid. It works like the item version, but between tanks. The quest says it only moves fluids from one tank to another and does not place or take fluid sources in the world.[2]
- "Energy Importing" quest asks for the Part Importer Energy and the Part Interface Energy. You put the importer on a power source and connect it to the interface with Logic Cables. The quest author warns that importing or exporting with Flux Plugs and Points gave them problems.[2]
Integrated Dynamics
This chapter has three IntegratedTunnels quests. Each one accepts any of several parts, so you only need one of the listed items to complete it.[3]
- a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" (Interfaces Have GUIs!) comes after the Crystallized Menril Chunks quest. It accepts the Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid or Part Interface Energy. It explains that an interface reads whatever it is looking at and compares it to an AE2 Storage Bus. For example, a chest holding 100 Cobblestone with an interface on it means your network has 100 Cobblestone.[3]
- a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" (Importing) accepts any importer, such as the Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid, Part Importer Energy or a world variant like Part Importer World Block. It repeats the setup: importer on the source inventory, interface on the second, Logic Cables between them and a Variable Card in the importer. It also says importing can run at the integer limit (over 2 billion).[3]
- a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" (Exporting) accepts any exporter, such as the Part Exporter Item, Part Exporter Fluid, Part Exporter Energy or a world variant like Part Exporter World Block. The quest says exporters work like importers, only they export instead.[3]
Importing and Exporting each unlock after a different earlier quest, and the quest sources here identify those prerequisites only by id, so no further ordering is shown for them.[3]
Which IntegratedTunnels config options matter?
4 parts
The IntegratedTunnels options in this pack live in config/integratedtunnels-common.toml. Most of them are about how much energy your tunnels use, plus a few options for what happens to items when something goes wrong. Here's how this pack sets the ones you're most likely to care about.[6]
Energy use of importers and exporters
The plain item, fluid and energy importers and exporters are cheap in this pack. general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterItemBaseConsumption are both 1, and the fluid and energy versions (general.general.importerFluidBaseConsumption, general.general.exporterFluidBaseConsumption, general.general.importerEnergyBaseConsumption, general.general.exporterEnergyBaseConsumption) are 1 as well.[6]
The interfaces cost nothing to run. general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption, general.general.interfaceFluidBaseConsumption and general.general.interfaceEnergyBaseConsumption are all 0.[6]
World interaction costs more with a variable
Each world importer and exporter (block, item, fluid and energy) has a setting for when it has no variable and a separate setting for when it does. Without a variable they use 1, for example general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled. With a variable they use 32, for example general.general.exporterWorldItemBaseConsumptionEnabled. The same 1 versus 32 split applies to all the world fluid, energy and block variants.[6]
The player simulator is the most expensive. It uses 1 without a variable (general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled) and 64 with one (general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled).[6]
Item safety and performance
- core.general.ejectItemsOnBlockDropOverflow is true. If a block is broken and not every drop fits into the target, the leftovers are ejected into the world. If it were off, they would be voided.[6]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnInconsistentSimulationMovement is true. If item movement fails because an inventory reports inconsistent movement in simulation mode, the items are ejected into the world. With it disabled, items can be voided.[6]
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout is 10. This is how many ticks importers and exporters sleep before checking their targets again when they were unchanged before.[6]
- core.general.fluidRateLimit is 2,147,483,647, the maximum network fluid transfer rate.[6]
- core.general.worldInteractionEvents is true, so particles and sounds play when tunnels interact with the world.[6]
Analytics and version checking
core.general.analytics and core.general.versionChecker are both false in this pack, so the anonymous startup analytics request and the version checker are off.[6]
