IntegratedCrafting is a mod in All the Mods 10 8.3, where it is version 1.7.2. Craft stuff in Integrated Dynamics networks. (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is IntegratedCrafting?

2 parts

IntegratedCrafting adds autocrafting to the Integrated Dynamics setup. You describe a recipe with Integrated Dynamics tools, and the mod's crafting interface uses it to automate crafting. The pack ships version 1.5.0 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since 2.25 or earlier.[1][2]

Who it is for

This one is for you if you're already building with Integrated Dynamics and want crafting handled automatically. The pack's quest for it, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" (AUTO CRAFT), sits in the Integrated Dynamics chapter and follows another quest from that chapter. Its task is to get the Part Interface Crafting.[2]

How it works in the pack

The quest walks you through the basic setup. You place the crafting interface on a crafting table and right-click it, which gives you slots for Variable Cards.[2]

Next, you use the Logic Programmer and search for Recipe in the top left. Create a recipe for autocrafting and save it to a Variable Card.[2]

If a recipe needs items that must be crafted first, make a recipe for each of those too. Then put everything into the crafting interface.[2]

Unverified Where IntegratedCrafting fits in the wider progression of the pack is not confirmed by the available sources. Its crafting recipe and any config options are not covered here either.

How do you get started with IntegratedCrafting?

4 parts

IntegratedCrafting adds autocrafting to your Integrated Dynamics networks. You tell the network where and how things can be crafted, then ask it to make them. The pack's quest book covers the first step in its Integrated Dynamics chapter, with a quest called AUTO CRAFT.[2][3]

Step one: make a Crafting Interface

The Part Interface Crafting is the item that the AUTO CRAFT quest asks for (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics"). You point it at a machine, such as a crafting table or a furnace, and it binds to that machine to handle recipes.[2][3]

This is the pack's recipe for the Crafting Interface.

The quest has you place the interface on a crafting table and right-click it. That opens some slots for Variable Cards, and those cards hold the recipes the interface is allowed to craft.[2][3]

Step two: write a recipe onto a Variable Card

Open the Logic Programmer and search for Recipe in the top left. Create a recipe for what you want to autocraft and save it to a Variable Card. If that recipe needs ingredients that must be crafted too, make a recipe card for each of them. Then put everything into the Crafting Interface.[2]

Step three: make a Crafting Writer

The Part Crafting Writer is one way to start a crafting job. When a job starts, the network uses the interfaces that have a matching recipe and pulls the needed ingredients out of storage. It holds them inside the job so nothing else uses them first.[3]

This is the pack's recipe for the Crafting Writer.

A good first test is Oak Planks. The mod has advancements for inserting a hand-made Oak Planks recipe into a Crafting Interface and for using a Crafting Writer to start a crafting job for Oak Planks.[3]

Tip: The crafting table is a special case. A Crafting Interface does not import results from the machine it is bound to, but with a crafting table the interface alone is enough. For other machines like a furnace, put an active Integrated Tunnels importer on the machine, or let the machine output into the interface, so the results get back into the network. A job only counts as finished once the expected outputs show up in the storage network.[3]

Later: the Attuned Crafting Interface

Once you are further into the pack, craft the Part Interface Crafting Attuned. It does not need hand-made recipe cards. It reads and exposes the recipes the target machine already has, the same ones the Machine Reader lists. Some modded machines are not supported, and you will see a red border when you place it on one.[3]

The pack's recipe uses the plain Crafting Interface from step one as an ingredient.

Tip: Crafting Interfaces start with blocking mode enabled, so the machine only takes one recipe at a time and starts the next after the previous one finishes. If your machine can process several inputs in parallel, turn blocking mode off in the interface's settings.[3]

How does IntegratedCrafting work?

7 parts

IntegratedCrafting adds autocrafting to Integrated Dynamics networks. The idea is simple: you tell the network where and how things can be crafted, then you request a job and the network does the work. Here is how the pieces fit together in this pack.[3]

The two main parts

The Part Interface Crafting is the heart of the mod. You point it at a machine, such as a crafting table or a furnace, and it becomes bound to that machine. Open its GUI and you can insert Variable Cards that hold recipes. Each card tells the interface that the bound machine can craft that recipe.[3][4]

The Part Crafting Writer is how you start a job. Its aspects can request a given item, fluid, energy amount or recipe to be crafted. There is also a craft delay aspect, which only crafts if an ingredient has been missing from storage for the chosen duration.[3][4]

How a crafting job runs

  1. A job is started, for example with a Crafting Writer. One or more Crafting Interfaces that have a matching recipe are used for it.[3]
  2. All ingredients the recipe needs are pulled from the network and held inside the job in the interface. This stops them being used elsewhere before the job finishes.[3]
  3. The interface inserts the recipe inputs into the bound machine. It bases this on the storage network contents, as provided by Integrated Tunnels interfaces.[3]
  4. The interface tracks the storage network and marks the job as completed only once the expected outputs show up there.[3]
Watch out: The Crafting Interface does not import results from the bound machine, so you must get them back into the network yourself. Either put an active Integrated Tunnels importer on the machine, or let the machine output into the Crafting Interface. Anything inserted into the interface (items, fluids, energy) goes into the storage network for the configured channel. The crafting table is the exception: it only needs the Crafting Interface.[3]

Blocking mode and configuration

Blocking mode is enabled by default. The machine then accepts only one recipe at a time and starts the next one only when the previous one has completed. If your machine can process several inputs in parallel, turn blocking mode off in the interface's settings GUI. With a multi-amount job, the machine then gets as many inputs as it can process.[3]

Like most Integrated Dynamics parts, the interface lets you set the channel, priority and tick rate. You can also choose the target side separately for each ingredient type. That helps when a machine takes items from its sides but fluids from the top.[3]

The Attuned Crafting Interface

Later in the game you can craft the Part Interface Crafting Attuned. You don't add recipes to it by hand. It reads and exposes every recipe available in the target machine, the same ones the Machine Reader lists. Some modded machines may not be supported, and you'll see a red border when you place the interface on one.[3][4]

Distributing jobs and dynamic recipes

With slow machines, you can spread one job over several Crafting Interfaces. For example, 40 iron ingots can be split evenly over 10 furnaces. Every machine you want to use needs a Crafting Interface that exposes at least exactly the same recipe, so all 10 furnaces would need the same iron smelting recipe.[3]

Recipes from Variable Cards can be fully dynamic. A recipe could change with day and night, or with an item's availability in the network. Interfaces detect updates automatically and new jobs use the new recipe immediately, while running jobs keep the old one. The more often a recipe changes, the more lag it can cause, so use this with caution.[3]

Recipe feedback and debugging

When you insert a Variable Card, the interface shows a green checkmark or a red cross. Green means the card has a valid recipe and the machine can probably handle it. Red means the card doesn't expose a valid recipe, or the bound machine can't craft it. Hover over the symbol for more details.[3]

If a job misbehaves, use the crafting-related aspects of the Network Reader to list all available recipes, all running crafting jobs and the ingredients being crafted. Showing these lists on Display Panels helps you find the problem. With Integrated Terminals installed, the Crafting Job Terminal can show running jobs and missing ingredients, and can cancel jobs.[3]

Pack config values

These are the values this pack sets in the common config. I can't confirm from the sources whether they differ from the mod's defaults.[5]

How do you progress through IntegratedCrafting?

3 parts

IntegratedCrafting brings autocrafting to the Integrated Dynamics side of the pack. It adds the Part Crafting Writer, the Part Interface Crafting and the Part Interface Crafting Attuned, and each has its own in-pack recipe. The quest in the sources covers the Crafting Interface, so that is where your progression starts.[2][4]

The Crafting Interface quest

The quest a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" (AUTO CRAFT) sits in the Integrated Dynamics chapter and unlocks after an earlier quest in that chapter. Its task is to obtain the Crafting Interface.[2]

The quest explains the setup. Place the interface on a crafting table and right-click it to get slots for Variable Cards. Then open the Logic Programmer, search for Recipe in the top left, create a recipe for autocrafting and save it to a Variable Card.[2]

Tip: If a recipe needs items that must be crafted too, make a separate recipe for each of those. Then put everything into the Crafting Interface.[2]

The Crafting Writer

The Crafting Writer has its own recipe in the pack, but the quest source here does not point to it.[2][4]

How does IntegratedCrafting work with other mods?

2 parts

In this pack, IntegratedCrafting ties into Integrated Dynamics. Every IntegratedCrafting recipe in the pack data uses Integrated Dynamics items, so you build your autocrafting setup from that mod's materials.[4]

Crafting the parts

The Part Crafting Writer is made from an Output Variable Transformer and a Crafting Table. Here is the in-pack recipe:[4]

The Part Interface Crafting is the part the pack's quest asks you to make. Its recipe draws on several Integrated Dynamics blocks, namely Block of Crystallized Menril and both the Input Variable Transformer and the output transformer. It also needs a crafting table and an iron ingot from the shared ingots tag.[2][4]

The Integrated Dynamics quest

The pack's "Integrated Dynamics" quest chapter has an AUTO CRAFT quest, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", whose task is to obtain the Crafting Interface. It comes after another quest in the same chapter. Its quest text gives you the basic workflow:[2]

  1. Place the Crafting Interface on a crafting table and right-click it. This gives you some slots for Variable Cards.[2]
  2. Open the Logic Programmer, search for Recipe in the top left, and create a recipe for autocrafting. Then save it to a Variable Card.[2]
  3. If the recipe needs items that must be crafted too, create a recipe for each of those. Then put everything in the Crafting Interface.[2]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use IntegratedCrafting?

2 parts

This mod has one quest in the pack, and it sits in the Integrated Dynamics chapter rather than in a chapter of its own. That makes sense, because Integrated Crafting builds on the Integrated Dynamics logic tools.[2]

AUTO CRAFT

The quest a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" is called AUTO CRAFT. It has no title of its own in the quest book, so you'll know it by that name. It unlocks after the earlier quest a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" in the same chapter, so finish that one first.[2]

The task is to obtain the Part Interface Crafting, which the quest text calls the Crafting Interface.[2]

What the quest tells you to do

  1. Place the Crafting Interface on a crafting table and right-click it. This gives you some slots for Variable Cards.[2]
  2. Open the Logic Programmer and search for Recipe in the top left. Create a recipe for autocrafting and save it to a Variable Card.[2]
  3. If the recipe needs items that must be crafted themselves, create a recipe for each of those too.[2]
  4. Put everything into the Crafting Interface.[2]
Tip: Don't forget the sub-recipes. If an ingredient has to be crafted first, the quest says it needs its own recipe card in the Crafting Interface as well.[2]

Which IntegratedCrafting config options matter?

3 parts

IntegratedCrafting keeps everything in one file, config/integratedcrafting-common.toml. Here is exactly how this pack sets the options you're most likely to touch. The file only shows the pack's values, so I can't tell you which of them differ from the mod's defaults.[5]

Crafting interface behavior

Tip: If a recipe won't go into a crafting interface and you don't know why, check the server logs. With recipe validation and failure logging both enabled in this pack, rejected recipes should show up there.[5]

Energy use

Analytics and version checking

Both core.general.analytics and core.general.versionChecker are set to false in this pack. That means the anonymous startup analytics request and the mod's version checker are both turned off.[5]

Unverified The source doesn't list the mod's default values, so it's unverified which of these settings the pack actually changed.
