What is AllTheModium?
1 part
AllTheModium adds three very rare metals for you to hunt down: Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. It also adds the smithing templates, armour and tools made from them. All the Mods 10 4.5 runs AllTheModium 2.9.3, and the mod has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[1][2][3]
It's more than a gear mod. The Teleport Pad takes you to two extra dimensions. Use it in the Overworld to reach The Mining Dimension, a superflat world that's great for quarries and testing. Use it in the Nether to reach The Other, a very hostile dimension with underground cities, dungeons and pyramids full of monsters and loot.[4][5][6]
Why go to all this trouble? The tools are indestructible. Allthemodium armour gives you water breathing, fire immunity and no fall damage, and you take no crash damage when flying with an elytra. When you upgrade the armour from Netherite, your enchantments carry over.[7][8]
Where it fits in your progression
- Start with Allthemodium. You'll find the ore in the walls and ceilings of Deep Dark caves and high in the Mountains above Y 170. Get an Allthemodium Ingot for a quest in "?". Then use a brush on Suspicious Clay in Ancient Cities to find the Allthemodium Smithing Template for a quest in "?".[1][9][10]
- Next comes Vibranium. Make sure you have Allthemodium tools or better first, then mine the ore in the Nether above Y 64 or deep in the caves of The Other. The Vibranium Smithing Template comes from Suspicious Soul Sand in Treasure Bastion Remnants. These cover a quest in "?" and a quest in "?".[1][10][11]
- Unobtainium is the rarest of the three. It spawns in the End Highlands below Y 78. Look for the Unobtainium Smithing Template in the library rooms of dungeons in The Other, or get it from the trial spawner. These cover a quest in "?" and a quest in "?".[1][10][12]
- Last come the alloys. After the Piglich Heart quest a quest in "?", you make the three alloy ingots, starting with Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot. They unlock the alloy tools and finally the Allthemodium Alloy Paxel in a quest in "?".[10]
The pack's chapter_2_the_star quest chapter also has a quest asking for the Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy, a quest in "?".[13]
How do you get started with AllTheModium?
4 parts
Your first two goals in AllTheModium are an Allthemodium Ingot and an Allthemodium Smithing Template. In the pack's quest book, these are the two starting quests of the Allthemodium chapter, a quest in "?" and a quest in "?". Everything else in the chapter builds on them.[10]
Step 1: Find Allthemodium ore
Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium are all very rare ores, so expect to search a bit. Allthemodium is the one you want first, and it spawns in a few places:[3]
- On the cave walls and ceilings of the Deep Dark biome.[1][9]
- As a common spawn very high up in the Mountains, above Y 170.[9]
- Everywhere in the Mining Dimension, between Y -59 and Y 20.[9]
- In the deepslate layer caves of The Other.[9]
Mining the ore gives you Raw Allthemodium Ore. Pick up a quest in "?" in the basic tools chapter while you're at it. You can smelt or blast the raw ore into ingots:[14][15]
Step 2: Get a smithing template
The mod page says the first Allthemodium Smithing Template comes from Ancient Cities. It's hidden inside Suspicious Clay in the basalt, so bring a brush to sift through it.[1]
Once you have a template, you can craft more with the recipe below. The pack has changed this recipe from the mod's default, so check the in-pack version rather than an old video.[15]

Step 3: Upgrade your Netherite gear
Allthemodium gear isn't crafted from scratch. You upgrade your Netherite armour, weapons and tools at a smithing table using the template and an ingot. Start with the pickaxe, because the mod page recommends having Allthemodium tools or better before you go after Vibranium.[1][15][16]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: allthemodium:smithing/allthemodium_pickaxe_smithing
Every Allthemodium tool is indestructible. The armour is just as worth it: upgrading from Netherite keeps your enchantments, and on top of the extra armour, toughness and knockback resistance, you get these perks:[7][8]
- Water Breathing.[7]
- No crash damage when flying with an Elytra.[7]
- Immunity to fire damage.[7]
- No fall damage.[7]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: allthemodium:smithing/allthemodium_chestplate_smithing
Helmet, leggings and boots follow the same pattern.
Tools count for a quest in "?", and any armour piece counts for a quest in "?". Both unlock once you have the ingot and the template.[10]
Step 4: Build a Teleport Pad
After your first ingot, the quest book points you to the Teleport Pad in a quest in "?". Place it in the Overworld to reach the Mining Dimension, a superflat world made for quarries and testing. It's also full of Allthemodium ore between Y -59 and Y 20.[4][9][10]
Once you're kitted out, your next target is Vibranium. You'll find it in the Nether above Y 64.[11]
How does AllTheModium work?
6 parts
AllTheModium doesn't work like a tech mod. Its core is a three-tier metal progression: Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. It also adds the gear you make from those metals and the dimensions where you farm them. This section covers how those pieces fit together, as far as the in-game book, the mod's own files and the pack's recipes explain them.[1][3][15]
Unverified None of the available sources describe machines, multiblocks, energy, fluid or item-handling systems for this mod. Any automation of its materials would come from other mods in the pack, and the details can't be confirmed here.
The metal chain in a crafting grid
Everything in the Allthemodium tier can be handled in a plain crafting table. You can compress Allthemodium Nugget into Allthemodium Ingot, turn ingots into an Block of Allthemodium and break them back down again. Ingots also feed the component items: Allthemodium Plate, Allthemodium Gear and Allthemodium Rod. The recipes use tags rather than one exact item, so any item in the matching tag works.[15]

You can also turn Raw Allthemodium Ore into Allthemodium Dust by hand with a shapeless crafting recipe. This is handy before you have any ore-processing setup running.[15]

If you've compressed your storage blocks, the pack includes shapeless recipes that turn the 1x compressed versions back into the originals. That covers the metal blocks, the raw ore blocks, the three alloy blocks, Ancient Log, Ancient Stone and Block of Piglich Hearts.[15]

Slurries
The mod registers chemicals for all three metals: Dirty and Clean Allthemodium Slurry, Dirty and Clean Vibranium Slurry, and Dirty and Clean Unobtainium Slurry.[16]
Unverified The sources don't say which machines create or process these slurries in this pack, or what they yield. Check JEI in-game for the exact processing chain. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Smithing upgrades: the gear progression
Armour, weapons and tools move up the tiers through smithing templates, the same way Netherite works in vanilla. Each tier builds on the one before it.[1][16]
- Allthemodium upgrade: the base slot takes Netherite armour, a weapon or a tool, and the addition slot takes an Allthemodium Ingot.[16]
- Vibranium upgrade: the base slot takes Allthemodium armour, a weapon or a tool.[16]
- Unobtainium upgrade: the base slot takes Vibranium armour, a weapon or a tool, and the addition slot takes an Unobtainium Ingot.[16]
When you upgrade armour from Netherite to Allthemodium, it keeps its enchantments, so you don't lose your enchanting work.[7]
You don't craft the templates, you find them. Allthemodium templates come from Suspicious Clay in the basalt of Ancient Cities, and you'll need a brush. Vibranium templates come from Suspicious Soul Sand in Treasure Bastion Remnants. Unobtainium templates come from The Other: loot the chests in a dungeon's library room (the one with 2 spawners in 2 corners), or do the trial spawner.[1]
What the gear actually does
Allthemodium armour gives you more than armour points, toughness and knockback resistance. It also comes with a set of built-in perks.[7]
- Water Breathing.[7]
- No crash damage when you fly into things with an Elytra.[7]
- Immunity to fire damage.[7]
- No fall damage.[7]
The mod's built-in tools are all indestructible, so durability is never something you need to manage.[8]
Teleport Pads and the dimensions
The Teleport Pad is how you reach the mod's dimensions. To use it, shift-right-click it with both your main hand and your off hand empty. A pad in the Overworld takes you to The Mining Dimension, and a pad in the Nether takes you to The Other.[4][5][6]
Unverified The Teleport Pad's crafting recipe in this pack isn't included in the sources. Look it up in JEI. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
The Mining Dimension is superflat, which makes it a great spot for quarries and a safe testing area. Allthemodium ore generates everywhere there between Y -59 and Y 20. In the Overworld, the ore spawns in the walls and ceilings of Deep Dark caves, and it's also a common spawn very high in the Mountains above Y 170. You can find it in the deepslate-layer caves of The Other too.[4][9]
The Other is a very hostile dimension. It seems to be where Piglins come from. It has huge underground cities under any biome with tree cover on the surface, plus dungeons and ancient pyramids full of monsters and loot. Vibranium ore shows up deep underground in its caves, and in the Nether above Y 64. Unobtainium ore is found in the End Highlands biome below Y 78.[5][11][12]
Endgame food
Allthemodium nuggets also go into two powerful foods. The Allthemodium Apple gives 20 hunger and 80 saturation. The Allthemodium Carrot gives 40 hunger and 320 saturation. Both are fast to eat, can always be eaten, and give Absorption X and Regeneration X for 30 seconds.[15][17][18]

How do you progress through AllTheModium?
4 parts
AllTheModium gives you three metal tiers that build on each other: Allthemodium, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. Each tier's gear is a smithing upgrade of the tier below it, starting from Netherite. Once you've got all three metals, you can combine them into alloys for the endgame tools.[15]
All three ores are very rare and can be hard to find, so plan your mining trips.[3]
Tier 1: Allthemodium
Raw Allthemodium Ore comes from Allthemodium Ore. You'll find it in the walls and ceilings of Deep Dark caves, and it's a common spawn very high in the Mountains above Y 170. It also turns up everywhere in the Mining Dimension between Y -59 and Y 20, and in the deepslate layer caves of The Other.[9]
The quests start you on raw Allthemodium with a quest in "?". Once you have the raw ore, smelt or blast it into an Allthemodium Ingot. Allthemodium Dust works the same way.[14][15]
In the AllTheModium quest chapter, two quests open up everything else in this tier: getting the ingot (a quest in "?") and getting the Allthemodium Smithing Template (a quest in "?"). This pack changed the template's crafting recipe, so check the version below rather than an older guide.[10][15]

With both quests done, you unlock quests for Allthemodium tools (a quest in "?"), armour (a quest in "?"), the Allthemodium Mace (a quest in "?") and the allthemodium:allthemodium_bow (a quest in "?"). The tools and armour are smithing upgrades of your Netherite gear.[10][15]

The upgrade is well worth it. Allthemodium armour gives you Water Breathing, no crash damage when flying with an Elytra, immunity to fire damage and no fall damage. When you upgrade it from Netherite, it keeps your enchantments. The mod's built-in tools are also indestructible.[7][8]
The ingot quest also unlocks the Teleport Pad quest (a quest in "?"). To use the pad, shift right click it with both your main hand and off hand empty. Place it in the Overworld to reach the Mining Dimension, or in the Nether to reach The Other.[4][5][6][10]

Tier 2: Vibranium
Vibranium ore is found in the Nether above Y 64, and deep underground in caves in The Other. Be careful there: The Other is a very hostile dimension.[5][11]
This tier works the same way as the first. The Vibranium Ingot quest (a quest in "?") and the Vibranium Smithing Template quest (a quest in "?") together unlock tools (a quest in "?"), armour (a quest in "?"), the Vibranium Mace (a quest in "?") and the allthemodium:vibranium_shield (a quest in "?"). Vibranium tools and armour are upgrades of your Allthemodium pieces, so hang on to them.[10][15]

Tier 3: Unobtainium
Unobtainium ore is found in the End Highlands biome below Y 78. The quest for Raw Unobtainium Ore (a quest in "?") follows the raw Allthemodium quest. Smelt or blast the raw ore into an Unobtainium Ingot.[12][14][15]
The ingot quest (a quest in "?") and the Unobtainium Smithing Template quest (a quest in "?") unlock tools (a quest in "?"), armour (a quest in "?"), the Unobtainium Mace (a quest in "?") and the allthemodium:unobtainium_crossbow (a quest in "?"). Unobtainium gear is upgraded from your Vibranium gear.[10][15]

Endgame: the alloys
The alloy quests all need the Piglich Heart quest (a quest in "?"). From there you work toward the Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot (a quest in "?"), the Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot (a quest in "?") and the Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy Ingot (a quest in "?").[10]
Those three alloy quests unlock the Allthemodium Alloy Blade (a quest in "?"), Allthemodium Alloy Pick (a quest in "?"), Allthemodium Alloy Axe (a quest in "?"), Allthemodium Alloy Shovel (a quest in "?") and Allthemodium Alloy Trident (a quest in "?"). Finish the sword, pick, axe and shovel quests to unlock the final Allthemodium Alloy Paxel quest (a quest in "?").[10]
Unverified Where to get the Piglich Heart and how the alloy ingots are made aren't confirmed here, so look them up in the in-game recipe viewer. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Other quest chapters in this pack also use these materials. One quest (a quest in "?") asks for 28 Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy along with another item. Others ask for an Block of Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy (a quest in "?") and a Block of Piglich Hearts (a quest in "?"), so it pays to stockpile.[13]

How does AllTheModium work with other mods?
5 parts
AllTheModium's three metals, its woods and the Piglich Heart show up all over this pack. They feed ore processing, storage compression, AE2 add-on gear and several of the pack's creative-tier recipes. Here's where they connect.[15]
Mekanism ore processing
Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium all work in Mekanism's ore processing chain. Each metal accepts ore, raw ore or raw blocks in three steps. Purifying with Liquid Oxygen gives clumps such as Allthemodium Clump. Injecting with Liquid Hydrogen Chloride gives shards such as Allthemodium Shard. Dissolving with Liquid Sulfuric Acid gives dirty slurry. Shards can also be purified back into clumps.[15]

The pack also adds Mekanism sawing recipes for Ancient Log, Stripped Ancient Log, Demonic Log and Soul Log. Each one gives the matching planks plus Sawdust.[15]
Sawing (mekanism)
Recipe id: allthemods:mekanism/sawing/allthemodium/ancient_planks_from_shapelesscrafting
Compressed storage
AllTheCompressed can squash a lot of AllTheModium blocks into 1x versions and turn them back again. That covers the metal blocks, raw ore blocks and all three alloy blocks. It also covers the Block of Piglich Hearts, Ancient Log and Ancient Stone. It's handy when your storage starts filling up with endgame metal.[15]

AE2 and Ars Nouveau gear
The pack has changed Advanced AE's Quantum armour to build on Unobtainium armour. Each Quantum piece, like the Quantum Chestplate, needs its matching Unobtainium piece. The Strength Card is changed too and now needs a Vibranium Sword.[15]

Quests
The pack's star questline also leans on this mod. Quest a quest in "?" asks for 28 Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy together with a compressed Nether Star block. Other quests in the same chapter ask for an Block of Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy in a quest in "?" and a Block of Piglich Hearts in a quest in "?".[13]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use AllTheModium?
3 parts
AllTheModium shows up in four quest chapters in this pack. The biggest is its own allthemodium chapter, which walks you through all three metals and the alloys. The basic_tools, basic_armor and chapter_2_the_star chapters also ask for its items.[10][13][14][19]
The allthemodium chapter
The chapter follows the metal tiers in order. Each tier starts with two quests: one for the ingot and one for that tier's smithing template. Finishing both unlocks the gear quests for the tier. Where a quest lists several tools or armor pieces, any one of them completes it.[10]
- Allthemodium tier: get an Allthemodium Ingot for a quest in "?" and an Allthemodium Smithing Template for a quest in "?". The ingot alone unlocks a quest in "?", which asks for a Teleport Pad.[10]
- With both Allthemodium starter quests done, you can go for the allthemodium:allthemodium_bow in a quest in "?" and the Allthemodium Mace in a quest in "?". You can also make any Allthemodium sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel or hoe for a quest in "?", and any Allthemodium armor piece for a quest in "?".[10]
- Vibranium tier: get a Vibranium Ingot for a quest in "?" and a Vibranium Smithing Template for a quest in "?". Those two unlock the allthemodium:vibranium_shield in a quest in "?" and the Vibranium Mace in a quest in "?". They also unlock any Vibranium tool for a quest in "?" and any Vibranium armor piece for a quest in "?".[10]
- Unobtainium tier: get an Unobtainium Ingot for a quest in "?" and an Unobtainium Smithing Template for a quest in "?". Next come the allthemodium:unobtainium_crossbow in a quest in "?" and the Unobtainium Mace in a quest in "?", plus any Unobtainium tool for a quest in "?" and any Unobtainium armor piece for a quest in "?".[10]
- Alloys: first grab a Piglich Heart for a quest in "?". That quest, together with other prerequisites, opens the three alloy ingot quests. They ask for the Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot in a quest in "?", the Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot in a quest in "?" and the Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy Ingot in a quest in "?".[10]
- Alloy gear: all three alloy ingot quests together unlock the Allthemodium Alloy Trident in a quest in "?". With one more prerequisite on top, they also unlock the Allthemodium Alloy Blade in a quest in "?", the Allthemodium Alloy Pick in a quest in "?", the Allthemodium Alloy Axe in a quest in "?" and the Allthemodium Alloy Shovel in a quest in "?".[10]
- Finale: once you've finished all four alloy tool quests, a quest in "?" asks for the Allthemodium Alloy Paxel.[10]
Basic tools and basic armor
The basic_tools chapter has a separate quest for each metal's sword. You need the Allthemodium Sword for a quest in "?", the Vibranium Sword for a quest in "?", the Unobtainium Sword for a quest in "?" and the Allthemodium Alloy Blade for a quest in "?". For a quest in "?", any one of the Allthemodium, Vibranium, Unobtainium or alloy pickaxes will do.[14]
The same chapter also has two ore quests that go in order. a quest in "?" asks for Raw Allthemodium Ore, and it unlocks a quest in "?", which asks for Raw Unobtainium Ore.[14]
In basic_armor, three quests ask for one ingot each. a quest in "?" wants an Allthemodium ingot, a quest in "?" a Vibranium ingot and a quest in "?" an Unobtainium ingot. The armor quests are stricter than the ones in the allthemodium chapter: a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?" each ask for the full helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots set in Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium respectively.[19]
The chapter_2_the_star chapter
This chapter uses AllTheModium's endgame blocks. a quest in "?" asks for an Allthemodium ingot and leads into a quest in "?", which asks for a Block of Piglich Hearts. a quest in "?" asks for an Block of Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy.[13]
Which AllTheModium config options matter?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
AllTheModium adds allthemodium, vibranium and unobtainium smithing templates, armor and tools. Its official project page focuses on where to find those materials, such as the Deep Dark, the Nether and the End Highlands. It doesn't describe any config options.[1]
Unverified We couldn't confirm any AllTheModium config options for All the Mods 10 8.1. The pack's config files for this mod weren't available, so we can't say which settings matter or whether the pack changes any defaults. To see what your game is actually using, check the config folder of your own instance.
What changed in AllTheModium between versions?
All the Mods 10 4.5 ships Allthemodium 2.9.3 (allthemodium-2.9.3_mc_1.21.1.jar). The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.2 or earlier.[2]
The pack changelogs I have only record version bumps for this mod. Here is the trail, newest first:[20][21][22][23][24][25][26]
- All the Mods 10 4.0: Allthemodium updated from 2.9.2 to 2.9.3. This is the version 4.5 still ships.[2][20]
- All the Mods 10 2.43: updated from 2.9.1 to 2.9.2.[21]
- All the Mods 10 2.42: updated from 2.8.10 to 2.9.1.[22]
- All the Mods 10 2.31: updated from 2.8.9 to 2.8.10.[23]
- All the Mods 10 2.30: updated from 2.8.8 to 2.8.9.[24]
- All the Mods 10 2.29: updated from 2.8.7 to 2.8.8.[25]
- All the Mods 10 2.26: updated from 2.8.6 to 2.8.7.[26]
Unverified What actually changed inside each Allthemodium release (new items, recipe changes, bug fixes) is unverified. The pack changelogs only list the version numbers, and there are no stored changelogs for the shipped jars. Check the mod's own release notes before assuming a particular fix or change came with a given update.
