What is Supplementaries?

1 part

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0.2 guide

Supplementaries is a highly configurable mod that fills in the gaps vanilla leaves, adding content that is functional, good-looking and complements what the game already has. Think of it as a Vanilla+ upgrade, with jars, signposts, faucets, weather vanes, spring launchers, sconces, planters, lights, decoration and automation.[1]

It's for you if you like building and decorating, or if you want small automation helpers without going into big tech machinery. It works alongside vanilla content rather than replacing it.[1]

In this pack

The pack ships Supplementaries 1.21-3.4.4 for NeoForge. The mod itself needs Moonlight Library to run.[1][2]

The only quest connection I can confirm is in the food and farming chapter. Quest a quest in "?" asks for flax seeds, and it accepts Flax Seeds or the flax seeds from several other mods. It unlocks after another quest in the same chapter.[3]

Tip: Because that quest accepts flax seeds from any of the listed mods, you don't need Supplementaries' own seeds to complete it.[3]

The mod page says most features can be tweaked or disabled through its configs, and it points to the mod's own wiki for details on each block and item.[1]

Unverified I couldn't confirm whether the pack changes any Supplementaries config values or recipes, so check the in-game recipes and configs before relying on the mod's defaults. This site does hold All the Mods 10: To the Sky's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you get started with Supplementaries?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.6.1 guide

Supplementaries adds decoration, gadgets and automation pieces to the game. In this pack, many of its recipes have been changed, so the recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack versions rather than the mod's own defaults.[1][4]

Start with flax

The quest a quest in "?" (Flax String) is in the Food and Farming chapter and comes after Punch the Grass. It accepts flax seeds from several mods, including Flax Seeds. The quest says some of these seeds let you grow string directly, while others give an alternative that works in recipes.[5]

If you don't want to hunt for seeds, the pack has a Farming for Blockheads market recipe for them.[4]

    Turn flax into string

Once you have Flax, the pack has a Create milling recipe that turns it into string and flax seeds.[4]

    How does Supplementaries work?

    3 parts

Supplementaries is a Vanilla+ mod. It adds jars, signposts, faucets, weather vanes, spring launchers, sconces, planters, lights, decoration and automation blocks. It needs Moonlight Library to run, and the author describes it as highly configurable.[1]

Heads up: the sources I have don't explain how its blocks work in depth, so this section only covers what I can confirm. I'm not going to guess at machine behavior.[1]

    Interactions the mod describes

    • Wrench: you use it to rotate a block. The mod has an advancement for this.[6]
    • Turn Table: you can use it to rotate yourself.[6]
    • Present: it carries an address, and the game tells you who the present is addressed to.[6]
    • Slingshot and the Stasis enchantment: Stasis lets Slingshot projectiles ignore gravity.[6]
    • Lumisene Fire Aspect and Lumisene Flame: the first adds lumisene fire damage when you attack a mob, and the second adds it to arrows fired from a bow.[6]

    Status effects

The mod adds the Flammable and Overencumbered effects. Flammable increases your on-fire duration and spreads fire as you walk. Overencumbered prevents sprinting, and its further levels reduce jump height and walking speed respectively.[6]

    Pack-specific crafting

The recipe dump marks the Supplementaries recipes it shows as changed by the pack, so don't rely on base-mod recipes you may remember. Here are the Bellows, the Altimeter and the Bamboo Spikes as they are crafted in this pack.[7]

Tip: To see the mod's credits in game, put a written book named "credits" into a Notice Board.[1]

Unverified How the automation blocks behave in this pack (item and fluid handling, redstone behavior, ranges and speeds) is set by the mod's configuration, and the sources here do not show those config values. The mod's own wiki is where its customization options are described, but it is not part of the sources here, so check in game before building around any of it.

How do you progress through Supplementaries?

    3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide

Supplementaries has no tier ladder that the sources here lay out. In the pack's quest book it shows up in the Flax String quest in the Food and Farming chapter, and in an unnamed wrench quest in the Industrial Foregoing chapter. Here is where each fits.[8][9]

    Early game: flax and string

The Flax String quest unlocks after the Punch the Grass quest. Its task accepts Flax Seeds or flax seeds from several other mods, so you can hand in whichever you find first. The quest text says some of them let you grow string directly, while others give an alternative that works in recipes.[8]

The pack changed both recipes that involve Supplementaries flax. The Farming for Blockheads market has a recipe for Flax Seeds, and a Create milling recipe turns Flax into string and flax seeds.[10]

Flax is also the start of the decorative line. The pack's Awning recipe uses it, and every dyed Awning is made from that base Awning plus a dye.[10]

    Mid game: the Wrench

The unnamed quest a quest in "?" in the Industrial Foregoing chapter comes after the Industrial Foregoing quest. It lists wrenches that can rotate Industrial Foregoing machines, and the Wrench is one of the accepted items. The quest author tested mainly on the Laser Drill and says some wrenches might not work with other machines.[9]

The pack changed the Wrench's crafting recipe, so don't rely on the mod's default. This is the in-pack version:[10]

    WrenchChanged by the pack

    Crafting Shaped

    4 × any copper ingot

    Recipe id: supplementaries:wrench

The pack's changed recipe for the Wrench.

Tip: The quest author found most wrenches annoying for rotating Industrial Foregoing machines. If you are setting up a Laser Drill, the Supplementaries Wrench is one of the quest's listed options.[9]

    Everything else

The pack changed the Altimeter recipe, shown below. The part of the recipe dump shown here also marks the Bomb, Cage, Bunting and Candle Holder recipes as changed, so check the in-pack recipe before you plan a build around any of them.[10]

How does Supplementaries work with other mods?

    2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.6.1 guide

The sources confirm a Planter recipe that uses an item from another mod, and a farming quest that accepts flax seeds from several mods.[4][5]

    Farmer's Delight and the Planter

The Planter has an integration recipe that uses Rich Soil from Farmer's Delight. The pack changed this recipe, so don't assume it matches the mod's default. The block below shows the exact in-pack recipe.[4]

Flax seeds in the Food and Farming quests

The a quest in "?" quest in the Food and Farming chapter comes after Punch the Grass. You can complete it with flax seeds from several mods, including Flax Seeds from Supplementaries. The other accepted seeds come from Immersive Engineering, Productive Farming, Silent Gear and Actually Additions, going by their item ids.[5]

The quest text says some of these let you grow string directly, while others give you an alternative that works in recipes. The sources here don't say which seed does which.[5]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Supplementaries?

    1 part

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0.2 guide

Supplementaries shows up in just one quest in this pack, in the food_and_farming chapter. It's a small one, so this section is short.[3]

The quest is a quest in "?", and it has no title in the quest book. It's a single item task: you hand in any one of several flax seed items. Flax Seeds is one of them. The others come from Immersive Engineering (listed as its seed item), Productive Farming, Silent Gear and Actually Additions.[3]

Because the task accepts any of those items, you don't need Supplementaries to finish it. Whichever flax seeds you find first will work.[3]

    Order

This quest comes after a quest in "?" in the same chapter, so you need to finish that one first. The quest data here doesn't show what that earlier quest asks for.[3]

    Which Supplementaries config options matter?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.36 guide

Supplementaries is built to be highly configurable. Its Vanilla+ additions, like jars, signposts, faucets, weather vanes and spring launchers, are designed to fit alongside vanilla content, and you can tweak or disable individual features.[1]

Tip: Want to turn off or adjust a specific feature? The mod's own FAQ points you to the Customization section of the Supplementaries wiki, or to the mod's Discord, for how to disable or tweak it.[1]

Unverified This pack's config values for Supplementaries couldn't be checked, so this section doesn't list which options the pack changed from the mod defaults or what they're set to.

What changed in Supplementaries between versions?

    1 part

There isn't much version history to report for Supplementaries in this pack. All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0 ships Supplementaries 1.21-3.4.4 (the NeoForge build), and the pack's mod list shows it was included in 1.0 or earlier.[11]

    Supplementaries 1.21-3.4.4

The mod's own changelog for this version has a single entry: a missing class was added back for compatibility with Snowy Spirit. It's a small compat fix, so you won't see anything new in your game from it.[12]

The pack changelogs have no entries for this mod, so there are no pack-level changes to Supplementaries to list.[11]
