What is Generator Galore?
1 part
Generator Galore adds a whole family of generator blocks to the pack, such as the Magmatic Generator, Iron Generator, Culinary Generator and Netherstar Generator. Many of them also come in compact 8x and 64x versions. This pack ships version 1.21.1-1.6.3.[1][2]
The sources I have don't describe how each generator works, what it burns or how much it produces. I'm not guessing at that here, so check the item tooltips in game.[1][2]
Where it fits in the progression
You meet the mod early. In chapter 1, quest a quest in "?" asks you to get a Magmatic Generator. The rest of the mod's quests are in chapter 2, "the cool parts", and they form a small tree.[2][3]
- The chapter 2 entry points are the Magmatic Generator quest a quest in "?", the Iron Generator quest a quest in "?", and quest a quest in "?", which accepts any one of the 8x generator variants.[2]
- After the Iron Generator, the tree branches into the Netherite Generator (a quest in "?"), Culinary Generator (a quest in "?"), Ender Generator (a quest in "?") and Enchantment Generator (a quest in "?").[2]
- The Netherite branch continues to the Netherstar Generator (a quest in "?"). The Ender branch continues to the Halitosis Generator (a quest in "?").[2]
- The Culinary branch continues to the Honey Generator (a quest in "?") and the Potion Generator (a quest in "?").[2]
- Quest a quest in "?" comes after the 8x quest and accepts any one of several 64x generator variants, for example the 64x Magmatic Generator or 64x Netherstar Generator. That makes it the top of the compact-generator path.[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't show Generator Galore on the ATM Star quest path, and there is no in-jar guidebook to confirm what each generator does.
How do you get started with Generator Galore?
5 parts
Generator Galore gives you a whole ladder of generators, and this pack has rewritten how you climb it. Here is the order I'd go in, and it matches the quest chapters.[2][3][4]
Start with the Magmatic Generator
Your first target is the Magmatic Generator. It's the generator the first quest chapter asks for (a quest in "?"), and it shows up again in the next chapter (a quest in "?"). The pack adds this crafting recipe itself.[2][3][4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: minecraft:kjs/generatorgalore_magmatic_generator
The generator screen shows the remaining fuel time and the transfer rate in FE/t, so you can see what it's doing.[5]
Make the Iron Generator next
Next, make the Iron Generator (a quest in "?"). This one matters a lot, because the pack uses it as the base for several other generators.[2][4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: minecraft:kjs/generatorgalore_iron_generator
Branch out from the Iron Generator
The pack's recipes for these four all start from the Iron Generator, and the quests follow the same layout:[2][4]
- Culinary Generator (a quest in "?")[2][4]
- Enchantment Generator (a quest in "?")[2][4]
- Ender Generator (a quest in "?")[2][4]
- Netherite Generator (a quest in "?")[2][4]

From there the quests keep chaining. The Culinary Generator leads to the Honey Generator (a quest in "?") and the Potion Generator (a quest in "?"). The Ender Generator leads to the Halitosis Generator (a quest in "?"). The Netherite Generator leads to the Netherstar Generator (a quest in "?").[2][4]

Compact versions
Many generators can be crafted into an 8x version, and the pack changes those recipes. Crafting any of the 8x generators the quest lists counts for a quest in "?". Here is the Iron Generator one.[2][4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: generatorgalore:8x/iron_generator_8x
The 64x versions are also pack-changed recipes, built from 8x generators, and any one of them completes a quest in "?". That quest lists 64x versions of the Culinary, Enchantment, Ender, Halitosis, Honey, Magmatic, Netherite, Netherstar and Potion generators.[2][4]

How does Generator Galore work?
6 parts
Generator Galore is built around a ladder of tiered generators. Each tier has its own small config file that sets its buffer capacity, generation rate, consumption rate, transfer rate, fuel type and the tier it upgrades from. The generator screen shows the remaining fuel time and the transfer rate in FE/t.[5][6][7]
The upgrade ladder
The mod has an upgrade item for each step, and each generator config has a previousTier entry pointing to the tier below it. Here is the tree the upgrade items and configs give you:[5]
- Copper to Iron, then Iron to Gold, then Gold to Diamond.[5][7][8]
- Gold also leads to Culinary.[5][6]
- Diamond branches into Emerald, Netherite and Obsidian.[5][9][10][11][12]
- Obsidian branches into Enchantment, Ender and Magmatic.[5][13][14][15]
- Culinary branches into Honey and Potion.[5][16][17]
- Ender leads to Halitosis, and Netherite leads to Netherstar.[5][18][19]
Fuel types
The fuelType setting decides what a generator burns. In this pack, Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Obsidian, Netherite, Halitosis and Netherstar all use SOLID fuel.[7][8][9][10][11][12][18][19][20]
The other tiers are more specialised. Culinary uses FOOD, Enchantment uses ENCHANTMENT and Potion uses POTION. Honey and Magmatic both use FLUID.[6][13][15][16][17]
The Honey and Netherstar generators are narrowed down further with a tag. The Honey generator runs on fluids in the c:honey tag, and the Netherstar generator takes items in the c:nether_stars tag.[16][19]
Tier stats in this pack
These are the values the pack sets for each generator, taken from the config files.[6][20]
- Copper: buffer 5,000, generation 8, consumption 1.2, transfer rate 32.[20]
- Iron Generator: buffer 20,000, generation 80, consumption 1, transfer rate 240.[7]
- Gold: buffer 30,000, generation 32, consumption 0.8, transfer rate 128.[8]
- Diamond: buffer 100,000, generation 64, consumption 0.6, transfer rate 256.[9]
- Emerald: buffer 500,000, generation 256, consumption 0.4, transfer rate 512.[10]
- Obsidian: buffer 500,000, generation 128, consumption 0.6, transfer rate 512.[12]
- Netherite Generator: buffer 1,000,000, generation 512, consumption 0.4, transfer rate 2,048.[11]
- Culinary Generator: buffer 100,000, generation 8, consumption 1, transfer rate 256.[6]
- Honey Generator: buffer 500,000, generation 128, consumption 0.5, transfer rate 512.[16]
- Potion Generator: buffer 250,000, generation 16, consumption 1, transfer rate 1,024.[17]
- Enchantment Generator: buffer 1,000,000, generation 80, consumption 1, transfer rate 2,048.[13]
- Ender Generator: buffer 500,000, generation 160, consumption 1, transfer rate 512.[14]
- Magmatic Generator: buffer 500,000, generation 160, consumption 0.8, transfer rate 2,048.[15]
- Halitosis Generator: buffer 9,800,000, generation 256, consumption 1, transfer rate 16,384.[18]
- Netherstar Generator: buffer 20,000,000, generation 8,184, consumption 2,400, transfer rate 32,768.[19]
A higher tier doesn't always mean higher generation. Iron has a generation rate of 80 and a transfer rate of 240, while Gold has 32 and 128. Gold does have the bigger buffer, 30,000 against 20,000.[7][8]
8x and 64x generators
Many generators come in 8x and 64x versions. In this pack, General.increasedConsumption is set to true. That means the 8x and 64x versions raise the consumption rate as well as the production rate, so they burn fuel faster instead of only producing more.[21]
The pack has changed the crafting for these. An 8x generator is made from its base generator, and a 64x is made from the matching 8x. Here are a couple of examples.[4]

Not every tier gets a 64x version. Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald and Obsidian all have has64x set to false in this pack. The recipe list shows 8x and 64x recipes for Culinary, Enchantment, Ender, Halitosis, Honey, Magmatic, Netherite, Netherstar and Potion, and Iron has an 8x recipe as well.[4][7][8][9][10][12][20]
Crafting the special generators
Some of the later generators are crafted from the generator below them. The pack has changed these recipes.[4]

Performance
General.tickRate controls how often generators tick. The pack uses 5, which is also the mod default, so generators tick once every 5 ticks. It accepts values from 1 to 64, and the config comment suggests raising it if you have performance problems.[21]
How do you progress through Generator Galore?
4 parts
Generator Galore progression in this pack is a branching tree of single generators, with an 8x and a 64x upgrade layered on top. The pack adds or changes the recipes for these generators, so follow the recipes shown here rather than the mod's defaults.[2][4]
Early game: Magmatic and Iron
Your first Generator Galore quest is in the starting-out chapter: craft a Magmatic Generator (a quest in "?"). The Cool Parts chapter then asks for the same generator again (a quest in "?"), next to the Iron Generator (a quest in "?").[2][3]

Branching out from the Iron Generator
Four quests unlock right after the Iron Generator: Netherite Generator (a quest in "?"), Culinary Generator (a quest in "?"), Ender Generator (a quest in "?") and Enchantment Generator (a quest in "?"). The pack's recipes for the Culinary, Enchantment, Ender and Netherite generators all start from an Iron Generator.[2][4]

- Honey Generator comes after the Culinary Generator (a quest in "?"), and its recipe starts from a Culinary Generator.[2][4]
- Potion Generator also comes after the Culinary Generator (a quest in "?"), and its recipe starts from a Culinary Generator.[2][4]
- Netherstar Generator comes after the Netherite Generator quest (a quest in "?"), and its recipe starts from a Netherite Generator.[2][4]

The 8x and 64x upgrades
Once you have a single generator, you can upgrade it. One quest (a quest in "?") accepts any one of the 8x generators, for example 8x Iron Generator or 8x Netherite Generator. The follow-up quest (a quest in "?") accepts any one of the 64x generators, such as 64x Ender Generator or 64x Netherstar Generator.[2][4]

How does Generator Galore work with other mods?
4 parts
In this pack, Generator Galore connects to other mods through recipes. The pack changed the mod's upgrade recipes and added new recipes that use its generators alongside items from other mods. Here is where they show up.[4]
Upgrades use All the Ores gears
The pack changed the recipes that turn a single generator into its 8x version, and they use the Diamond Gear. One example is the Iron Generator becoming the 8x Iron Generator. The same pattern applies to the Culinary, Enchantment, Ender, Halitosis, Honey, Magmatic, Netherite, Netherstar and Potion generators.[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: generatorgalore:8x/iron_generator_8x
The pack changed this 8x upgrade recipe to use a Diamond Gear.
The next step up is the 64x version, which the pack also changed. These recipes use the Netherite Gear with the matching 8x generator. This covers the Culinary, Enchantment, Ender, Halitosis, Honey, Magmatic, Netherite, Netherstar and Potion generators.[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: generatorgalore:64x/netherstar_generator_64x
The pack changed this 64x upgrade recipe to use a Netherite Gear.
Netherstar Generator
The pack adds its own recipe for the Netherstar Generator, and it builds on the Netherite Generator. The Nether Star Block and the Wither Skeleton Skull are the other key pieces, so check the recipe below for the full layout.[4]

Generators as ingredients elsewhere
Pack-added recipes also use Generator Galore items to make other items. The Wither's Compass uses an 8x Netherstar Generator together with the Player Interface, the Wither Builder and the Witherless Rose.[4]

Quests
In the quest chapter "chapter_2_the_cool_parts", the Generator Galore quests only ask you to obtain generators. Two of them accept any generator from a whole tier. a quest in "?" takes any of the listed 8x generators, and a quest in "?" comes after it and takes any of the listed 64x generators.[2]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Generator Galore?
4 parts
Generator Galore shows up in two quest chapters in this pack: a single quest in Starting Out, and a whole generator tree in The Cool Parts. The quests have no titles, so I describe each one by the item it asks for. The sources don't say how many of each item a quest wants, so check the in-game quest for the exact amount.[2][3]
Chapter 1: Starting Out
Your first contact is quest a quest in "?", which asks you to get a Magmatic Generator. It unlocks after an earlier quest in the chapter.[3]
Chapter 2: The Cool Parts
This chapter holds the main generator tree. Three quests sit at the top and all unlock after the same earlier quest. Everything else branches off the Iron Generator quest or the 8x quest.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for another Magmatic Generator.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for an Iron Generator. This is the gateway to most of the tree.[2]
- a quest in "?" is the 8x quest. It accepts any one of the 8x generators, for example 8x Copper Generator, 8x Diamond Generator, 8x Gold Generator or 8x Obsidian Generator. Other accepted options include the 8x versions of the Emerald, Enchantment, Ender, Halitosis, Honey, Iron, Magmatic, Netherite, Netherstar and Potion generators.[2]
Branching from the Iron Generator
Once a quest in "?" is done, four quests open up, in any order:[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Netherite Generator. After it, a quest in "?" asks for a Netherstar Generator.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Culinary Generator. After it, a quest in "?" asks for a Honey Generator and a quest in "?" asks for a Potion Generator.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for an Ender Generator. After it, a quest in "?" asks for a Halitosis Generator.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for an Enchantment Generator.[2]
The 64x quest
After the 8x quest, a quest in "?" asks for any one of the 64x generators. The accepted options are the 64x versions of the Culinary, Enchantment, Ender, Halitosis, Honey, Magmatic, Netherite, Netherstar and Potion generators. For example, you could hand in 64x Culinary Generator or 64x Netherstar Generator.[2]
Which Generator Galore config options matter?
5 parts
Generator Galore has one server config and one JSON file per generator tier. This is what the pack sets, so you can plan your power setup around real numbers.[20][21]
Server config
- General.increasedConsumption is true in this pack. That makes the 8x and 64x upgrades raise the consumption rate as well as the production rate. The config comment says this will be on by default in mod version 1.22.[21]
- General.tickRate is 5, the same as the mod default, with an allowed range of 1 to 64. It controls how often generators tick, once every 5 ticks by default. The config comment suggests raising it if you have performance problems.[21]
Metal and gem generators
These tiers all use fuelType SOLID. Each one sets its own generationRate, consumptionRate, bufferCapacity and transferRate. Here is what the pack uses:[7][8][9][10][11][12][20]
- Copper: generationRate 8, consumptionRate 1.2, bufferCapacity 5,000 and transferRate 32.[20]
- Iron: generationRate 80, consumptionRate 1, bufferCapacity 20,000 and transferRate 240. Its previousTier is copper.[7]
- Gold: generationRate 32, consumptionRate 0.8, bufferCapacity 30,000 and transferRate 128. Its previousTier is iron. Gold generates less than iron here, so don't assume every step up is a higher generationRate.[7][8]
- Diamond: generationRate 64, consumptionRate 0.6, bufferCapacity 100,000 and transferRate 256. Its previousTier is gold.[9]
- Emerald: generationRate 256, consumptionRate 0.4, bufferCapacity 500,000 and transferRate 512. Its previousTier is diamond.[10]
- Obsidian: generationRate 128, consumptionRate 0.6, bufferCapacity 500,000 and transferRate 512. Its previousTier is diamond.[12]
- Netherite: generationRate 512, consumptionRate 0.4, bufferCapacity 1,000,000 and transferRate 2,048. Its previousTier is diamond.[11]
The top end
The nether star generator is the big one. Its fuelTag is c:nether_stars, with generationRate 8,184, consumptionRate 2,400, bufferCapacity 20,000,000 and transferRate 32,768. Its previousTier is netherite.[19]
The halitosis generator also has a large buffer. It has bufferCapacity 9,800,000, generationRate 256 and transferRate 16,384. Its fuelType is SOLID and its previousTier is ender.[18]
Special fuel generators
Some generators use something other than solid fuel. Culinary uses FOOD, honey uses FLUID with the fuelTag c:honey, magmatic uses FLUID, potion uses POTION and enchantment uses ENCHANTMENT. The ender generator's file has no fuelType entry.[6][13][14][15][16][17]
Their generationRate values are 8 for culinary, 128 for honey, 160 for magmatic, 16 for potion, 80 for enchantment and 160 for ender.[6][13][14][15][16][17]
The has64x flag
The copper, iron, gold, diamond, emerald and obsidian files all set has64x to false. The other generator files in this pack don't have that key.[7][8][9][10][12][20]
Unverified The sources don't say what the mod's default values are for the generator JSON files, so we can't tell you which of these numbers the pack changed. The sources also don't explain exactly what has64x does or what unit generationRate is measured in.
