What is Pocket Storage?
1 part
Pocket Storage is a simple handheld storage mod. This pack ships version 1.2.5. You right-click the item to open it and drop items inside, a bit like a backpack that you can scale up.[1][2]
Each unit has a max count it can hold, and items put in past that count are voided, so keep an eye on it before you store something you care about. It also vacuums up items on the ground that are the same as the ones already in it. There are ways to dump it into chests or take items out of chests quickly. Higher tiers have more slots and a higher max item count.[2]
Where it fits in the pack
Pocket Storage shows up in the ATM Star quest chapter. The first quest, "Pocket Storage" quest, has you obtain Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1, the Tier 1 unit, and explains the basics.[2]
The follow-up quest, a quest in "The ATM Star", unlocks after that one and asks for Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4, the Tier 4 unit. It has 64 slots, and each slot holds 1,048,575 items, for 67,108,800 items in total. The quest pitches it as a backpack replacement and says it only costs a few Nether Stars.[2]
How do you get started with Pocket Storage?
3 parts
Pocket Storage is a handheld storage mod, and in this pack it's one of the first things worth setting up. You Right Click the unit to open it and put items inside. Each slot has a maximum count, and the higher the tier, the more slots and the bigger that maximum. The pack's quest for it is "Pocket Storage" quest.[2]
Step 1: Make the Tier 1 unit
Start with Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1. It's the base of the whole upgrade chain, and it's also what the first quest asks you to hold. Here's the in-pack recipe:[2][3]
Crafting Shaped

| any redstone dust | any chest | any redstone dust |

Once you have it, the tooltip says it holds a number of different items, up to a set amount of each. It also absorbs matching items on pickup. The quest adds that it vacuums up matching items lying on the ground.[2][4]
Step 2: Upgrade through the tiers
The higher tiers aren't crafted from scratch. Each one is an upgrade recipe that takes the previous tier's unit, so you keep the same unit and just level it up. Go in order:[3]
- Upgrade Tier 1 into Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 2 with the recipe below.[3]
- Upgrade Tier 2 into Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 3.[3]
- Upgrade Tier 3 into Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4.[3]

Why aim for Tier 4
The follow-up quest, a quest in "The ATM Star", covers Tier 4. According to its text, Tier 4 has 64 slots, and each slot holds 1,048,575 items. That's 67,108,800 items in total, and the quest says it replaces backpacks.[2]
How does Pocket Storage work?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Pocket Storage is built around one item: the Pocket Storage Unit, a portable storage item that comes in four tiers, from Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1 up to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4. There are no machines, multiblocks or power systems here. It's all about what the unit does while it sits in your inventory.[5][6]
How storage works
Every tier works the same way. A unit holds a set number of different item types, and it can store up to a set amount of each type. The tooltip shows both limits for the unit you're holding, so check it when you pick one up.[5]
Unverified The exact number of item types and the per-item limit for each tier could not be confirmed. The tooltip fills them in from values that aren't in the available sources. Check the in-game tooltip for the real numbers.
Auto-pickup and voiding
This is the unit's key trick. When you pick up items that match what's stored in it, the unit absorbs them automatically. That keeps your main inventory free of the blocks and drops you collect most while mining or building.[5]
Tier progression
You craft Tier 1 with a normal shaped recipe. You don't craft Tiers 2, 3 and 4 from scratch. Each one uses a special upgrade recipe that takes the previous tier's unit as one of its inputs. So you climb the tiers by upgrading the unit you already have.[6]

Upgrades a Tier 3 unit
Unverified It could not be confirmed whether items stored in a unit carry over when you upgrade it to the next tier. Empty it first if you're not sure. It's also unconfirmed how you get items back out, or whether hoppers, pipes or other automation can interact with the units.
How do you progress through Pocket Storage?
3 parts
Pocket Storage has four tiers in this pack, from Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1 up to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4. The pack's quest line follows the same path. The higher the tier, the more slots and the bigger the max item count per slot.[2][3]
Quest path
- The "Pocket Storage" quest quest in The ATM Star chapter asks you to get a Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1. Its description covers the basics: right click to open it and put items in, and it vacuums up ground items that match what it already holds.[2]
- The follow-up quest a quest in "The ATM Star" unlocks after that one and asks you to get a Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4, the top tier.[2]
Crafting each tier
Tier 1 is crafted from scratch. Tiers 2, 3 and 4 are upgrade recipes: each one builds on the tier right below it, so you can't skip ahead.[3]
Here is the Tier 1 recipe, which is the entry point.[3]
Crafting Shaped

| any redstone dust | any chest | any redstone dust |

Upgrade Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1 into Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 2 with this recipe.[3]

What Tier 4 gets you
According to the quest text, Tier 4 has 64 slots, and each slot holds 1,048,575 items. That is 67,108,800 items in total. The quest calls it a replacement for backpacks and says the upgrade is affordable by modded standards.[2]
Unverified The slot counts and max item counts for Tiers 1, 2 and 3 are not given in the available sources, so they are not listed here.
How does Pocket Storage work with other mods?
2 parts
Pocket Storage doesn't have a big web of integrations in this pack. The one clear link in the recipes is the Tier 4 Pocket Storage Unit being used as a crafting ingredient for another item.[3]
Pulsating Black Hole
The Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4 is one of the ingredients in the pack's recipe for the Pulsating Black Hole. It is a shaped KubeJS recipe added by the pack, so it comes from the pack and not from Pocket Storage itself.[3]
This recipe is where Pocket Storage meets other mods in the pack. Items such as the ME Quantum Ring, Paradox Machine, Stable Wormhole and Manhattan Module come from other mods, and the recipe block below shows the exact in-pack recipe. The Pocket Storage Unit is the only item from this mod in it.[3]
