Create: Dragons Plus is a mod in All the Mons 1.3.0, where it is version 1.11.8b. Provide convenient features to players and dev utilities for Create addon developers. (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Create: Dragons Plus?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Create: Dragons Plus is a Create addon that adds convenient features for players, plus dev utilities for other Create addon authors. As a player, you'll mostly care about the first part: it gives your Encased Fans new jobs and makes tank handling easier.[1]

This pack ships version 1.11.7b, and the mod has been in the pack since 2.47 or earlier.[2]

What it adds

  • Bulk Coloring: use Dye Fluids with an Encased Fan to dye items. It supports most crafting recipes that use dyes.[1]
  • Bulk Freezing: use Powder Snow with an Encased Fan to freeze items.[1]
  • Bulk Ending: use a Dragon Head or Dragon's Breath (fluid) with an Encased Fan to infuse items with energy from The End.[1]
  • Bulk Sanding: use Quicksand with an Encased Fan to polish items. It supports all Sand Paper polishing recipes. Since version 1.8.5, Quicksand is no longer required if the Bulk Sanding block tag contains any block.[1]
  • Fluid Hatch: works like the Item Hatch, but gives you convenient take and deposit operations on Fluid Tanks.[1]

Who it's for

If you already run Create and want to process items in bulk with fans instead of one at a time, this mod is for you. It's also handy if you want simpler fluid tank access.[1]

The mod also has optional integrations with other mods, such as Create: Simulated, Create: Granished, Create: Dreams & Desires, The Aether, Dye Depot, Dyenamics, Arts & Crafts and Ars Nouveau. Each one only matters if that mod is installed. Its features can be enabled or disabled, unless a dependent mod forces them on or off.[1]

Unverified The sources don't show any quests for this mod, any role on the ATM Star path, or an in-game guidebook. They also don't confirm which of the integration mods are in this pack, or whether the pack changed any of the mod's configs or recipes.

How do you get started with Create: Dragons Plus?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide

Create: Dragons Plus is a Create addon built around Encased Fan processing and handy fluid tools. Its features are Bulk Coloring, Bulk Freezing, Bulk Ending, Bulk Sanding and the Fluid Hatch. This pack changes the recipes below, so follow the recipe blocks here rather than the mod's defaults.[1][3]

Step one: craft a Fluid Hatch

Start with the Fluid Hatch. It makes a fluid tank easy to use with fluid containers. The pack changes this recipe.[3][4]

Fluid HatchChanged by the pack

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:crafting/fluid_hatch

This is the in-pack recipe for the Fluid Hatch.

The hatch works on the tank it is placed on, and it behaves differently depending on how you click it:[4]

  • Right-click: it deposits fluid from your held item into the tank. If the held item can't be emptied, it fills the item from the tank instead.[4]
  • Sneak right-click: it fills your held fluid container from the tank first. If that isn't possible, it deposits the contained fluid into the tank.[4]

Step two: turn dyes into dye fluid

Bulk Coloring needs liquid dye. Each dye fluid has its own mixing recipe, and the pack changes all of them. You mix 250 of water with a matching dye item to get 250 of the dye fluid. Here is red as an example, and the other colours follow the same pattern.[3]

250× Red DyeChanged by the pack

Mixing (create)

Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:mixing/red_dye_from_item

The other colours use the same pattern in this pack.

The Dyenamics colours have their own mixing recipes too, such as Dyenamics Amber Dye and Dyenamics Navy Dye.[3]

Step three: set up Bulk Coloring

Once you have dye fluid, run an air flow from an Encased Fan through it to create a Coloring setup. Like Bulk Blasting and Bulk Smoking, it works automatically with certain crafting recipes that use dyes. The air flow can also change the color of entities, and equipped armor gets colored too.[1][4]

Step four: get Dragon's Breath for Bulk Ending

Bulk Ending uses a Dragon Head or Dragon's Breath fluid with an Encased Fan to infuse items with energy from The End. In this pack you can get the fluid by emptying the Dragon's Breath item. You get 250 of the fluid and a glass bottle back. The pack changes this recipe.[1][3]

Emptying (create)

Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:emptying/dragon_breath

This is the in-pack emptying recipe.

Also changed by the pack

The pack also changes the crafting recipe for the Smithing Template, which makes 2 templates per craft.[3]

How does Create: Dragons Plus work?

5 parts

Create: Dragons Plus has no power network or multiblock of its own. Almost everything it adds hangs off Create's Encased Fan, plus a handful of fluids and a tank helper. You place a fan so its air flows through a special block or fluid, and that turns the airflow into a processing setup for the items in front of it.[1][5]

Bulk processing with fans

Each setup is triggered by what the air passes through. These are the ones the mod's own descriptions and Ponder scenes give.[1][5]

  • Bulk Coloring: air passing through Liquid Dye. It works with most crafting recipes that use dyes, and it can also change the colour of entities and the armor they wear.[1][5]
  • Bulk Freezing: air passing through Powder Snow.[1][5]
  • Bulk Ending: air passing through a Dragon Head or Dragon's Breath fluid.[1][5]
  • Bulk Sanding: air passing through a Bulk Sanding catalyst block, with Quicksand as the example. It reuses Sand Paper sanding recipes automatically.[1][5]
  • Bulk Enchanting: air passing through Golden Aercloud. It runs Aether Altar recipes as fan processing, some of which repair equipment, and the same airflow can incubate Moa Eggs.[1][5]

The mod says all of its features can be enabled or disabled, unless a dependent mod forces them on or off. It also notes that Bulk Blasting air that spreads fire is off by default in its config, so new players don't burn their builds by accident.[1][5]

Unverified This pack has no config file for the mod in the sources, so whether any feature toggle differs from the mod's defaults is unverified.

Liquid Dye

Mixing a dye item with water makes Liquid Dye, which is what Bulk Coloring needs. In this pack, the mixing recipes turn 250 of water and one dye item into 250 of the matching Liquid Dye. The pack changed these recipes. There are 34 of these mixing recipes, covering vanilla colours and Dyenamics colours. Here is black as an example:[5][6]

250× Black DyeChanged by the pack

Mixing (create)

Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:mixing/black_dye_from_item

Every other colour follows the same pattern with its own dye.

Heated mixing can recover the dye item from the fluid again. Items and living entities that touch Liquid Dye get coloured. If Liquid Dye meets lava, it forms the matching concrete.[5]

Liquid Dye also covers dyes from Dye Depot, Dyenamics and Arts & Crafts (its Bleachdew).[1]

Dragon's Breath fluid

Dragon's Breath is a real fluid here. In this pack, emptying a bottle of dragon's breath gives you 250 of the fluid and returns the glass bottle. The pack changed this recipe.[6]

Emptying (create)

Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:emptying/dragon_breath

The fluid works with Cauldron behaviour. When flowing Dragon's Breath meets lava, it forms End Stone. Ars Nouveau's Containment Jar can also produce it.[1][5]

Fluid Hatch

The Fluid Hatch goes on a Fluid Tank so you can fill and empty it by hand with fluid containers. Its tooltip describes two behaviours.[5]

  • When right-clicked: it deposits the fluid in your held item into the tank. If the held item can't be emptied, it fills that item from the tank instead.[5]
  • When sneak right-clicked: it fills your held fluid container from the tank first. If that isn't possible, it deposits the contained fluid into the tank instead.[5]

Fragile Fluid Tanks

The mod also has a Fragile Fluid Tank and a Levitite Fragile Fluid Tank. They break on impact, and when they do, the fluid's effect is applied to the surroundings. The mod says they need the Create: Simulated series.[1][5]

The pack's own script disables both tank recipes unless the Aeronautics mod is loaded.[7]

How do you progress through Create: Dragons Plus?

4 parts

I can't give you a tier ladder for this mod, because nothing in the pack data lays one out. What the pack does show is a small set of crafting, emptying and mixing recipes, and every one of them has been changed by the pack. So treat what follows as a list of what you can make, not a strict order.[6]

Fluid Hatch

The Fluid Hatch is a shapeless crafting recipe in this pack, and the pack has changed it from the mod's version. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[6]

Blaze upgrade smithing template

The Smithing Template has a shaped recipe that the pack has changed. It turns out 2 templates per craft, and one of the inputs is a template itself, so you can keep duplicating it once you have your first one.[6]

Dragon's Breath fluid

You get Dragon's Breath as a fluid by running a bottle of dragon's breath through Create's emptying. One bottle gives you 250 units of the fluid and leaves you with an empty glass bottle. The pack has changed this recipe too.[6]

Emptying (create)

Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:emptying/dragon_breath

Liquid dyes

The mod's dye fluids are all made the same way, with a Create mixing recipe the pack has changed. You mix 250 units of water with a matching dye item and get 250 units of that colour as a fluid. Any item in the matching dye tag works as the input.[6]

This covers the vanilla colours, such as Red Dye, Blue Dye and Light Gray Dye. It also covers Dyenamics colours, such as Dyenamics Amber Dye, Dyenamics Mint Dye and Dyenamics Wine Dye. Here is the red one as an example:[6]

How does Create: Dragons Plus work with other mods?

2 parts

In this pack, Create: Dragons Plus connects to Create: Enchantment Industry and to Dyenamics through recipes. Everything below comes from those in-pack recipes.[6]

Create: Enchantment Industry

The Fluid Hatch is the key piece here. It works like the Item Hatch, giving you a convenient way to take fluids from and deposit them into Fluid Tanks. The pack changed how you craft it, so use this recipe rather than anything you remember from the mod's defaults.[1][6]

Crafting Shapeless

This recipe was changed by the pack.

The Fluid Hatch then becomes a stepping stone to the Experience Hatch. This is Create: Enchantment Industry's own recipe and the pack hasn't changed it. It's an item application recipe that uses a Block of Experience together with the Fluid Hatch.[6]

Item Application (create)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:item_application/experience_hatch

This mod's Smithing Template is also what upgrades a Blaze Burner into the Create: Enchantment Industry blaze blocks: the Blaze Enchanter, the Blaze Forger and the Blaze Composer. The Blaze Composer recipe was changed by the pack, while the Enchanter and Forger recipes are the mod's own.[6]

The last link in this group is Infused Dragon's Breath. The pack changed the infusing recipe so that this mod's Dragon's Breath is what gets turned into it.[6]

Infusing (create_enchantment_industry)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:infusing/infused_dragon_breath

Dyenamics

This mod adds a Dyenamics version of each dye, such as Dyenamics Amber Dye. In this pack, Create mixing recipes that the pack changed turn each of these into the matching Dyenamics item, for example Amber Dye. The same pattern covers the other colors, from aquamarine and bubblegum to ultramarine and wine.[6]

Amber DyeChanged by the pack

Mixing (create)

Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:mixing/dyenamics_amber_dye_from_fluid

Amber is an example of the pattern. The other colors follow the same recipe naming.

The mod's own description also says that Liquid Dye and Bulk Coloring support dyes from Dyenamics, which fits with these recipes.[1]

What changed in Create: Dragons Plus between versions?

1 part

All the Mons 1.3.0 includes Create: Dragons Plus 1.11.8b, and the mod has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier. There are no pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs. These are the releases I have notes for, not necessarily every release.[8]

Releases, newest first

  • 1.11.8b (the version in this pack): Fixed Aether Bulk Freezing JEI recipes showing incorrect container remainders for different bucket inputs. The Aether Bulk Enchanting Ponder tutorial now uses valid Altar recipes and shows Moa Eggs hatching directly into correctly colored babies.[8][9]
  • 1.11.4: Bulk Coloring now keeps block entity data when it changes a block to a color variant backed by the same block entity type, and incompatible variants are skipped. Exceptions from third-party crafting recipes no longer crash automatic Bulk Coloring detection. Dye Depot integration colors were corrected to match Dye Depot 2.1.0.[10]
  • 1.11.2b: Fixed Liquid Dye not coloring items and entities on contact.[11]
  • 1.10.1: Added Bulgarian localization and updated the French one. The Sable Integration feature setting moved to the Global Feature setting to prevent some loading issues, and Sable Integration now loads with Sable instead of Create Aeronautics. Fixes include a crash with Sable only, a KubeJS related error, Immersive Engineering potions not coming out via the Fluid Hatch, coloring sand turning into suspicious sand with the dye inside when paired with Supplementaries, and a JEI Sanding category icon error caused by Quicksand lacking an item model for the block.[12]
  • 1.10.0b: Update for Create 6.0.10. If you use Create: Simulated, update it to at least 1.1.0. Also fixed the crafting recipe of the Fragile Fluid Tank.[13]
  • 1.8.7: Update for Create 6.0.9. Fixed a crash when pondering the encased fan with Bulk Sanding in certain situations.[14]
  • 1.8.6: Update for Create 6.0.9. Added the item tag not_applicable_for_coloring. Fixed crashes when pondering the encased fan, one with Dreams and Desires and without Quicksand, and another with Oreganized at Bulk Freezing. Also fixed an infinite fluid dupe when the Fluid Hatch interacted with Mekanism's Fluid Tanks.[15]
  • 1.8.5: Bulk Sanding no longer hard-requires Quicksand. It activates when Quicksand is installed, C:DnD is installed, or the Bulk Sanding block tag contains a block. The recipe format was also updated for the newer KubeJS-Create compatibility.[16]
Tip: If you build your own setups or scripts, the not_applicable_for_coloring item tag, added in 1.8.6, stops specific items from being bulk colored.[15]
