What is Woot Revived?

1 part

Woot Revived is a multiblock mod for harvesting mob drops. You capture a mob, put it in the factory, and the factory automates its loot without the mob ever spawning. It is based on the original Woot mod, but everything was re-implemented from scratch. This pack includes version 20.1.1.9.[1][2]

The factory is tiered. It runs from Copper, the first and minimal tier, up through Iron, Gold and Diamond to Netherite, the fifth and last tier. You feed it vitality fuel and any items the mob needs, and it delivers the loot into your chests.[3][4][5]

Everything starts at the Stygian Anvil, which you use by right-clicking it with the Stygian Hammer. The Factory Base is the block you need to craft before you can make the rest of the mod's blocks.[6][7]

Where it sits in the quest book

The pack's quest book puts Woot Revived in the chapter "Woot ?!?", in the "Resource Generation" group.[8]

The chapter opens with an untitled "woot is going on" checkmark, followed by the Stygian Madness quest ("Stygian Madness" quest). Next comes the anvil, hammer and magma block quest (a quest in "Woot ?!?"), then a quest in "Woot ?!?" and a quest in "Woot ?!?". From the Factory Base the book branches into three machines. The Item Infuser produces items, the Dye Liquifier produces Pure Dye Fluid, and the Enchanted Liquifier produces Enchanted Fluid.[8][9][10][11]

"Tier 1 Multiblock" quest asks for the Copper tier blocks and comes after the Prism, Dye Plates and Enchanted Copper Plate quests. The later multiblock quests follow in tier order up to Netherite, the fifth and last tier, and each one also comes after a shard drop upgrade quest.[4][5][8]

After the Copper tier quest, "Wooting Time" quest leads to the Fluid Infuser, Mob Tears and Vitality Fuel quests. The Fluid Infuser produces liquid by injecting items in another liquid. It also leads to the a quest in "Woot ?!?" and a quest in "Woot ?!?" quests, and you need a Mob Shard to capture a mob. The last quest in the chapter is an untitled "Congratulation!" checkmark that comes after the Fake Spawner and the Vitality Fuel Bucket. Upgrade quests branch off a quest in "Woot ?!?".[8][12][13]

How do you get started with Woot Revived?

6 parts

Everything in Woot Revived starts with one material, the Stygian Ingot, and one workstation, the Stygian Anvil. The pack's quest book follows the same order in the chapter "Woot ?!?" (group Resource Generation, chapter 13 of 44), so you can use it as a checklist.[6][8]

Step one: grab the guide book

The pack is set to hand you the Woot Guide Book the first time you join, because guide.shouldGiveOnSpawn is true. If you ever lose it, here is how to make a new one.[14][15]

Step two: Stygian Dust and Stygian Ingots

First craft some Stygian Dust, then cook it into Stygian Ingot. The quest "Stygian Madness" quest asks for both and is the first quest after the intro checkmark in the chapter.[6][8]

The normal furnace recipe works for the ingot. The pack also adds its own Ender IO alloy smelting recipe for it.[15]

Step three: anvil and hammer

Next you need a Stygian Anvil and a Stygian Hammer. Put the anvil on a Magma Block, then right-click it with the hammer to craft. You can take items back out by shift-clicking the anvil with an empty hand. The quest a quest in "Woot ?!?" asks for all three.[6][7][8]

Step four: the molds

Every mold needs a Quartz and a Stygian Ingot, plus one extra item. Molds are not consumed when you craft with them, so you only need one of each.[6][15]

Step five: Stygian Plate and the Factory Base

The Factory Base is what you need to craft all the blocks of the mod, and it starts with a Stygian Plate made on the anvil.[6]

The quest book keeps this order: a quest in "Woot ?!?" comes right after the anvil quest, then a quest in "Woot ?!?". The Item Infuser, Dye Liquifier and Enchanted Liquifier quests all come after the Factory Base.[8]

Where to go next

From here the guide book points you to capturing mobs or building your first factory. A Mob Shard is made with the shard mold. Hit a mob with it to capture it, then kill that mob 5 times with the shard in your inventory. The pack's mob_shard.numOfKills is set to 5.[6][13][14]

For the first factory tier, the Copper tier guide page lists 17 Copper Pylons, 6 Copper Plinths and 1 Copper Vitality Cell, plus the common blocks. Pylons and plinths both use a Copper Shard, which is crafted on the anvil with the shard mold.[4][15]

Tip: To turn a programmed Mob Shard into a Fake Spawner, you also need a Prism and a Factory Base. In this pack, the Prism is made in the Item Infuser from glass and Pure Dye Fluid.[13][15][16]

How does Woot Revived work?

8 parts

Woot Revived is a tiered multiblock mod. Your factory simulates mob kills and delivers the drops straight into your chests, without ever spawning a mob. You build the factory around a Fake Spawner, feed it vitality fuel, add any items the mob needs, and the loot comes out on its own.[1][3]

What every factory is made of

Every tier shares the same set of common blocks. The Factory Heart is the main controller, and the Upgrade Slot stores your upgrade items. The Fake Spawner holds the mob to simulate and sits on a Primary Base or Secondary Base. A Factory Connector links the ingredients to the factory, the Ingredient Importer brings in what the mob needs, and the Loot Exporter is where the drops come out. On top of that you need Vitality Cells.[17]

The fake spawners on the secondary bases are optional. The Heart will tell you if something is wrong, with messages like "You need to build the factory", "No secondary fake spawner placed" and "Vitality Cell is missing".[16][17]

The Heart is also your monitor. It shows the Vitality Fuel Fluid remaining, the installed upgrades, the mobs you are simulating, the progress of each mob, and the items or fluids you still need to import.[18]

The five tiers

Each tier needs the common blocks plus its own pylons, plinths and one Vitality Cell. The Layout item shows a blueprint of the factory, and you right-click it to switch the tier it displays. Its preview blocks have no collision, are unbreakable, and can be replaced directly with the real blocks.[4][19]

  • Copper (first tier, the minimal version): 17 Copper Pylon, 6 Copper Plinth and 1 Copper Vitality Cell.[4]
  • Iron (second tier): 20 Iron Pylon, 12 Iron Plinth and 1 Iron Vitality Cell.[20]
  • Gold (third tier): 36 Gold Pylon, 24 Gold Plinth and 1 Gold Vitality Cell.[21]
  • Diamond (fourth tier): 32 Diamond Pylon, 32 Diamond Plinth and 1 Diamond Vitality Cell.[22]
  • Netherite (fifth and last tier): 12 Netherite Pylon, 24 Netherite Plinth and 1 Netherite Vitality Cell.[5]

The Vitality Cells are common to all tiers. In the Layout you will see the cell block cycle through every cell type.[17]

Fake Spawners and mob shards

To capture a mob you need a Mob Shard. Hit the mob with it, or throw it. A thrown shard becomes invulnerable to everything except lava. If the shard does not enter its captured state, the mob is probably blacklisted or not a living entity.[13]

After capturing, you kill the mob 5 times with any tools while keeping the shard in your inventory. That number is set by mob_shard.numOfKills, and the pack keeps it at 5. Once the shard is fully programmed, you turn it into a Fake Spawner on the Stygian Anvil.[13][14]

Fuel: Vitality Fuel Fluid

Vitality Fuel Fluid is what the factory burns to simulate mobs. You make it in the Fluid Infuser from Mob Tears Fluid, and Mob Tears Fluid is also used for some Item Infuser crafts.[12]

The pack adds its own Fluid Infuser recipe on top of the mod's. It takes 2,000 Mob Tears Fluid, the pack item kubejs:infinity_2 and 50,000 energy, and produces 50,000 Vitality Fuel Fluid.[23]

The fuel is stored in the Vitality Cell. The pack's tank capacities per cell are in the list below, and they match the mod's defaults.[14]

Cells are crafted from an enchanted plate of the matching tier. The Copper cell uses an Enchanted Copper Plate, which you make in the Item Infuser with Enchanted Fluid and the matching shard.[9][15]

Item and fluid handling

The Ingredient Importer accepts a chest of items, a tank of fluids, or pipes. It only pulls in exactly what the simulated mobs need.[24]

Watch out: Everything inserted into the Ingredient Importer is destroyed and you cannot get it back. Do not use it as storage.[24]

The Loot Exporter works the other way. Place a chest or a tank at its side to collect the items or fluids. You cannot use pipes with the Loot Exporter, so pipe from the chest or tank instead.[25]

Upgrades

Right-click the Upgrade Slot with an upgrade to apply it. Upgrades are crafted from the Upgrade Base, which is also needed for the Upgrade Slot itself. These are the effects the guide lists:[26][27]

  • Efficiency I to V reduces the Vitality Fuel Fluid cost per simulated mob by 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%.[28]
  • Rate I to V reduces the spawn rate between simulations by 10%, 20%, 30%, 50% and 75%.[29]
  • Mass I to V kills 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mobs per simulation. upgrades.massRerollLoot is true in the pack, so the loot table is rerolled instead of duplicating already rolled items.[14][30]
  • Looting I to V applies that Looting level to the item used for the kill. Vanilla mobs only gain from Looting III, but modded mobs may use the two extra levels.[31]
  • XP I to V adds XP Shards (9 XP each) and XP Splinters (1 XP each) to the drops, at 50%, 75%, 100%, 125% and 150% of the XP.[32]
  • Burn Upgrade applies fire to the simulated mob. The Dimension upgrades simulate the kill in the Nether or the End.[33][34]
  • Decapitate I to V adds one to five heads to the drops by simulating a charged creeper explosion.[35]
  • Shard Drop I to IV drops Iron Shards at 50%, then adds Gold Shards at 30%, Diamond Shards at 15% and Netherite Shards at 5%. Each level needs a minimum factory tier, from Copper for the first up to Diamond for the fourth.[36]

The pack changes the recipes for Efficiency I Upgrade and Decapitate I Upgrade compared to the mod. Here is the in-pack Efficiency I recipe:[15]

Addon upgrades exist too. The Blood Magic one must be bound to a Blood Altar before it goes into the factory. The Industrial Foregoing ones include a Laser Drill upgrade, a Mob Crusher that outputs Essence Fluid from the mob's dropped XP, and a Mob Slaughter Factory upgrade that outputs Liquid Meat and Pink Slime based on the mob's max health.[37][38]

Processing machines

The Fluid Infuser makes liquid by injecting items into another liquid. The Item Infuser makes items by combining ingredients with injected fluid. It makes the Prism, dye plates from dye casings plus Pure Dye Fluid, and enchanted plates. The Dye Liquifier and Enchanted Liquifier produce the Pure Dye Fluid and Enchanted Fluid those recipes need.[9][10][11][12]

PrismMod recipe

Item Infuser (woot_revived)

  • any glass

Recipe id: woot_revived:item_infuser/prism

The Prism is the main ingredient of the Fake Spawner.

The Dye Liquifier takes dyes or the ingredients of dyes, such as flowers. Each dye gives a different amount of each color, and JEI shows the exact numbers.[10]

The Enchanted Liquifier turns enchanted books into Enchanted Fluid, per enchantment level. Levels above the maximum count as the maximum, and the pack sets that maximum with enchanted_liquifier.maxEnchantLevel.[11][14]

The pack's machine settings are all in the Woot Revived common config. Here they are, machine by machine:[14]

Stygian Anvil and Magmator automation

The Stygian Anvil is where you start. It must sit on a Magma Block or a Magmator, and you craft by right-clicking it with a Stygian Hammer. Shift-click the anvil with an empty hand to take items back.[6][7][16]

To automate it, put a Magmator under the anvil. Every so many ticks it tries to craft and drops the result in a neighboring chest. It does nothing if there is no chest at its side. Shift-click the Magmator to change its redstone mode.[7][39]

The redstone modes are Ignored, Run on Pulse, Run with no redstone signal and Run with redstone signal.[16]

The pack's Magmator speeds, in ticks per craft, are listed below.[14]

Tip: Not sure where a block goes? Use the Layout item and right-click it to cycle through the tiers. You can place real blocks right over the blueprint.[19]

How do you progress through Woot Revived?

6 parts

Woot Revived is a tiered multiblock mod: you build a factory around a fake spawner, give it vitality fuel, and it simulates mob kills and sends the loot to your chests without spawning anything. In this pack the quest book tells the story in the chapter "Woot ?!?", in the Resource Generation group (chapter 13 of 44, with 68 quests).[3][8]

Step 1: Stygian basics

The chapter starts with a simple checkmark quest, then "Stygian Madness" quest, which the book calls the main resource of the mod. It asks for Stygian Dust and Stygian Ingot. You craft the dust and then cook it into ingots. The pack also adds an EnderIO alloy smelting recipe for the ingot, so you have more than one way to cook it.[6][8][15]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: woot_revived:stygian_dust

Next is a quest in "Woot ?!?": the Stygian Anvil, the Stygian Hammer and a magma block. The anvil goes on top of the magma block, and you craft with it by right-clicking it with the hammer. Molds are not consumed, so you only need one of each. After that, "Anvil Automation" quest covers anvil automation, with output going to adjacent chests.[6][8]

The anvil is also where you make your Plate Mold and then the Stygian Plate. The plate is what the book asks for before a quest in "Woot ?!?", which you need to craft all the other blocks of the mod.[6][8][15]

Step 2: Machines and plates before Tier 1

Once you have a Factory Base, the quest book splits into branches that all feed into Tier 1:[8]

The five tiers

Each tier is a bigger factory built from its own pylons, plinths and one vitality cell. Vitality cells are shared by all tiers. Tiers 2 to 5 each come after the matching Shard Drop upgrade quest in the book.[8][17]

The Diamond cell uses an enchanted diamond plate and a light blue dye plate, where the Copper cell uses an enchanted copper plate and an orange dye plate.

Shards decide your pace

Copper Shards are not dropped by upgrades. You make them at the Stygian Anvil with the Shard Mold.[36]

Copper ShardMod recipe

Stygian Anvil (woot_revived)

Recipe id: woot_revived:stygian_anvil/copper_shard

The higher shards come from the Shard Drop upgrades. Shard Drop I drops iron shards at 50%. Shard Drop II adds gold shards at 30%, Shard Drop III adds diamond shards at 15%, and Shard Drop IV adds netherite shards at 5%.[36]

Watch out: A Shard Drop upgrade only drops its new shard if it is applied to a high enough factory. Shard Drop I needs at least a Copper factory, II needs Iron, III needs Gold, and IV needs Diamond.[36]

Upgrades

After the Upgrade Base quest, the book opens up the upgrade lines. Most run from I to V through copper, iron, gold, diamond and netherite, and each quest comes after the previous level. The values are:[8][28][29][30][31][32][35]

  • Mass I to V kills 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mobs per simulation.[30]
  • Rate I to V reduces the spawn rate between simulations by 10%, 20%, 30%, 50% and 75%.[29]
  • Efficiency I to V reduces the vitality fuel cost per mob by 10% to 50%, in steps of 10%.[28]
  • XP I to V drops 50%, 75%, 100%, 125% and 150% of the XP.[32]
  • Decapitate I to V drops one to five heads. Looting I to V applies Looting I to V, but vanilla mobs only drop more up to Looting III.[31][35]

The pack changed many of these upgrade recipes, including the copper ones and the diamond ones. The Efficiency recipes, for example, now involve the vitality fuel bucket. The Burn Upgrade and the add-on upgrades for Blood Magic and Industrial Foregoing also hang off the Upgrade Base quest.[8][15]

This recipe was changed by the pack and uses a vitality fuel bucket.

Fuel and mob shards

After Tier 1 the book offers "Wooting Time". From there one branch goes to the Fluid Infuser, then the Mob Tears Bucket, then the Vitality Fuel Bucket ("Self Sustaining Farm"). The other goes to the Mob Shard, a second Mob Shard quest called "the hard part", and the Fake Spawner.[8]

The pack adds its own fluid infuser recipe for vitality fuel. It takes 2,000 of Mob Tears fluid plus the kubejs:infinity_2 item and 50,000 energy, and makes 50,000 of Vitality Fuel fluid. The last quest in the chapter, "Congratulation!", comes after the Fake Spawner and the Vitality Fuel Bucket.[8][23]

How does Woot Revived work with other mods?

Pack-added Fluid Infuser recipe

The pack also adds its own Fluid Infuser recipe that turns Mob Tears Fluid into Vitality Fuel Fluid, using an Infinity item from the pack's own custom items. Mob Tears Fluid is normally the step before Vitality Fuel Fluid, which fuels your factory.[12][23]

In the quest book

The quest book puts Woot Revived in the chapter "Woot ?!?", in the Resource Generation group, chapter 13 of 44. The quests shown for that chapter ask for Woot Revived items, plus the vanilla Magma Block and Rotten Flesh. 12 of the chapter's 68 quests are not shown in the sources here, so check the quest book for their text.[8]

Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use Woot Revived?

4 parts

In this pack the quest book puts every quest for this mod in one chapter, "Woot ?!?", in the "Resource Generation" group. The quests ask you to collect Stygian materials, then the factory and its fluids, then build the multiblock tiers in order. A long upgrade tree sits alongside.[8]

The main path

  1. The chapter opens with a quest in "Woot ?!?", a checkmark quest. "Stygian Madness" quest comes after it. The book describes it as the main resource of the mod, and it asks you for Stygian Dust and Stygian Ingot.[8]
  2. a quest in "Woot ?!?" (Hammer Time) asks you for the Stygian Anvil, the Stygian Hammer and a Magma Block.[8]
  3. Two quests come after Hammer Time. a quest in "Woot ?!?" asks you for the Stygian Plate. "Anvil Automation" quest carries the book note "Outputs to adjacent chests".[8]
  4. a quest in "Woot ?!?" comes after the Stygian Plate quest and asks you for the Factory Base. Three quests follow it: a quest in "Woot ?!?", a quest in "Woot ?!?" and a quest in "Woot ?!?".[8]
  5. On the enchanted side, a quest in "Woot ?!?" comes after the Enchanted Liquifier quest. a quest in "Woot ?!?" then comes after both that bucket quest and the Item Infuser quest.[8]
  6. On the dye side, "Dyes" quest comes after the Dye Liquifier quest and has four item tag tasks. a quest in "Woot ?!?" follows it. After that, a quest in "Woot ?!?" and "Dye Plates" quest each come after the Pure Dye Bucket and Item Infuser quests. Dye Plates asks you for the red, light blue, orange, cyan and blue plates.[8]
  7. "Tier 1 Multiblock" quest comes after the Prism, Dye Plates and Enchanted Copper Plate quests.[8]

Multiblock tiers

The five multiblock quests are chained in order. After the first, each one also lists a Shard Drop upgrade quest as a prerequisite.[8]

Wooting Time and mob shards

"Wooting Time" quest is a checkmark quest that comes after the first multiblock quest. After it, a quest in "Woot ?!?" asks you for the Fluid Infuser and rotten flesh. Then come a quest in "Woot ?!?" and a quest in "Woot ?!?", which the book labels "Self Sustaining Farm".[8]

Also after Wooting Time, a quest in "Woot ?!?" asks you for the Mob Shard. A second a quest in "Woot ?!?" quest, labelled "the hard part", follows it. a quest in "Woot ?!?" asks you for the Fake Spawner. The closing checkmark, a quest in "Woot ?!?", comes after both the Fake Spawner and Vitality Fuel Bucket quests.[8]

The upgrade tree

a quest in "Woot ?!?" asks you for the Upgrade Base and has no prerequisite in the chapter. The upgrade quests listed below all come after it.[8]

Which Woot Revived config options matter?

5 parts

Good news: every option in this pack's woot_revived common config sits at the mod's own default. The file shows the default next to each value, and none of them differ, so the pack has not changed anything here. These are the options you are most likely to care about.[14]

Vitality Cell capacity

Magmator tick rates

Mob shards, the guide and the mass upgrade

Enchanted Liquifier

Infusers and Dye Liquifier

The max energy in/out transfer rate is 1,000 on the Fluid Infuser (fluid_infuser.energyMaxTransfer), the Item Infuser (item_infuser.energyMaxTransfer), the Dye Liquifier (dye_liquifier.energyMaxTransfer) and the Enchanted Liquifier (enchanted_liquifier.energyMaxTransfer).[14]

What changed in Woot Revived between versions?

4 parts

Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 ships Woot Revived 20.1.1.9. The mod has been in the pack since 0.0.45.4 or earlier. I have no pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]

20.1.1.9

  • Fixed the mass upgrade multiplying each other when the multiply config is used.[41]

20.1.1.8

  • The mass upgrade got a new config option to duplicate items instead of rerolling the loot table.[42]

20.1.1.7

This one is mostly fixes and polish:[43]

  • The Forge FakePlayer was replaced by a local one.[43]
  • Duplicated advancements were removed from the translations, and a Japanese translation was added.[43]
  • A leftover test line was removed from the efficiency code.[43]
  • The in-game guide had its enchanted liquifier description and fluid infuser recipes fixed.[43]
  • The multiblock pattern update now fails safely.[43]

20.1.1.1

  • Added the magmator, which automates anvils.[44]
  • Fixed an entity renderer crash, and the entity renderer now uses global renderers instead of the tesselator.[44]
  • Under the hood, the API moved upgrade item levels to enum variants and got an improved upgrade data storage system.[44]
Tip: If you use the mass upgrade, the 20.1.1.8 and 20.1.1.9 entries are the ones to remember: the option to duplicate items instead of rerolling the loot table, then the fix for upgrades multiplying each other on the multiply config. Those two are the newest changes listed here.[41][42]
