What is IntegratedDynamics?
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
This pack includes Integrated Dynamics version 1.16.1, built for Minecraft 1.18.2, and it has been in the pack since this release or earlier. If you want to match your setup to the pack, that's the version to look for.[1]
Unverified The available sources don't describe what Integrated Dynamics does, who it's aimed at, or where it fits in this pack's progression, so those details are left out here. Check in-game or the mod's own documentation for how its features work in this version.
Which IntegratedDynamics config options matter?
5 parts
Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide
Everything below lives in core.general.safeMode's file, config/integrateddynamics-common.toml. These are the values this pack ships with, so use them as your starting point when you plan a network.[2]
Unverified Which of these values differ from the mod's own defaults is not confirmed, so none of them are described as pack changes here.
Network energy use
The big one to know about is general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier, the energy usage multiplier for networks. This pack sets it to 0. The per-part base costs are still in the file, so check how your own network behaves before you count on any particular drain.[2]
- general.general.connectorMonoDirectionalBaseConsumption is 32 and general.general.connectorOmniDirectionalBaseConsumption is 128.[2]
- general.general.variablestoreBaseConsumption is 4, while general.general.proxyBaseConsumption and general.general.delayerBaseConsumption are both 2.[2]
- Most readers and writers (for example general.general.inventoryReaderBaseConsumption and general.general.redstoneWriterBaseConsumption) are 1. The light panels, general.general.panelLightStaticBaseConsumption and general.general.panelLightDynamicBaseConsumption, are 0.[2]
- core.general.energyRateLimit, the maximum network energy transfer rate, is 2,147,483,647.[2]
Generators, batteries and machines
- The coal generator produces 20 RF/t (machine.coal_generator.energyPerTick).[2]
- An energy battery holds 1,000,000 by default (machine.energy_battery.capacity). Its transfer per tick is a 1/X fraction of capacity, with X set to 2000 in machine.energy_battery.energyRateCapacityFraction, and the minimum rate (machine.energy_battery.minEnergyRate) is also 2000.[2]
- The mechanical squeezer and the mechanical drying basin each have an energy capacity of 100,000 and a consumption rate of 80 (machine.mechanical_squeezer.consumptionRate and machine.mechanical_drying_basin.consumptionRate).[2]
- The squeezer can auto-eject 500 mB per tick (machine.mechanical_squeezer.autoEjectFluidRate).[2]
Reach and update speed
- A part can target up to 32 blocks away (machine.general.maxPartOffset), and a directional connector can look up to 512 blocks for its target (machine.general.maxDirectionalConnectorOffset).[2]
- New parts default to an update frequency of 1 tick (machine.general.defaultPartUpdateFreq), and the minimum update interval for all parts (general.general.partsMinimumUpdateInterval) is also 1 tick. general.general.partMinimumUpdateIntervals is empty, so no part has its own minimum.[2]
- core.general.operatorRecursionLimit caps operator recursion at 256, which protects you from crashes when building things like the omega operator.[2]
Performance and troubleshooting
If you hit FPS trouble, the file says to disable machine.cable.dynamicShape (true here). Cable model caching (core.general.cacheCableModels) is also on, and part overlays render up to 15 blocks away (general.general.partOverlayRenderdistance).[2]
core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is true, so corrupted networks are restored on the first tick. The ingredient network observer may use multithreading (core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverEnableMultithreading) with 4 threads (core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverThreads).[2]
Items and world generation
- The info book is given automatically when you first spawn (item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.obtainOnSpawn is true) and can give item rewards for tutorial completion (item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.bookRewards is true).[2]
- Menril berries give night vision when eaten (item.menril_berries.nightVision is true).[2]
- Generated Menril wood is filled with Menril Resin at a 1/10 chance (worldgeneration.menril_log_filled.filledMenrilLogChance). A higher value means a lower chance.[2]
