IntegratedMekanism is a mod in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2, where it is version 1.1.0. No verified summary yet. A full guide is planned.

What is IntegratedMekanism?

IntegratedMekanism is included in this pack at version 1.1.0, using the file IntegratedMekanism-1.20.1-1.1.0.jar.[1]

It is not a recent addition: it was first included in version 0.0.45.4 of the pack or earlier.[1]

Unverified The sources here do not describe what the mod does. No platform description or in-jar guidebook is available for it, so check the mod's own pages or look at it in game.

How do you get started with IntegratedMekanism?

5 parts

IntegratedMekanism is all about chemical automation: reading what is in a tank, and moving chemicals in and out of things. The sensible first steps follow the crafting chain, so you build one base part first and then branch out from it.[2][3]

First, make the Chemical Interface

Start with Part Interface Chemical. The mod's own advancement describes it as the way to get started with chemical transfers, and one craft gives you 4 of them, so you will not run short. Several later parts are crafted from this one.[2][3]

The pack's config sets general.general.interfaceChemicalBaseConsumption to 0, so the interface has no base energy cost.[4]

Next, make the Chemical Reader

Then craft Part Chemical Reader. The mod's advancements point to it for getting started with chemical automation. It lets you read the chemical in a tank, check whether a tank is empty, and check whether a chemical is radioactive. That makes it handy for seeing what is going on before you move anything. Its base energy usage is 1 in this pack, set by general.general.chemicalReaderBaseConsumption.[3][4]

Add an importer and an exporter

Once you have interfaces, you can move chemicals. Part Importer Chemical is the one for importing all chemicals. Part Exporter Chemical is the one for precise exports, since its advancement is about exporting one specific chemical type. Both are shapeless recipes that build on the interface from the first step.[2][3]

In the pack's config, general.general.importerChemicalBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterChemicalBaseConsumption are both 1.[4]

Later upgrades

When the basics work, look at Part Interface Filter Chemical, Part Importer World Chemical and Part Exporter World Chemical. The filter interface needs 2 chemical interfaces per craft, and each world part is crafted from its matching importer or exporter.[2]

Watch out: The world importer and exporter cost more energy once they have a variable. In this pack the exporter's base usage is 1 without a variable (general.general.exporterWorldChemicalBaseConsumptionDisabled) and 32 with one (general.general.exporterWorldChemicalBaseConsumptionEnabled). The importer uses the same values: 1 from general.general.importerWorldChemicalBaseConsumptionDisabled and 32 from general.general.importerWorldChemicalBaseConsumptionEnabled.[4]

Network limits worth knowing

The pack sets core.general.chemicalRateLimit to 9,223,372,036,854,776,000 as the maximum network chemical transfer rate. general.general.transferRadioactiveChemicals is true, so radioactive chemicals can be transferred across the network.[4]

How does IntegratedMekanism work?

5 parts

IntegratedMekanism is a compatibility mod between Mekanism and the Integrated Dynamics mods. In this pack it gives you a set of chemical automation parts: the Part Chemical Reader, the Part Interface Chemical, the Part Importer Chemical, the Part Exporter Chemical, their world versions, and the Part Interface Filter Chemical.[2][3]

How the parts build on each other

The chemical interface is the base of the whole line. The importer, the exporter and the filter interface are all crafted starting from it, and the world importer and world exporter are upgrades of the plain importer and exporter. The reader is the one part that does not need an interface.[2]

One craft makes 4 interfaces.

What each part does

Reading and writing with aspects

Everything is driven through Integrated Dynamics aspects. On the read side, you can check whether the target has a chemical tank, and whether that tank is empty, non-empty or full. You can also get the chemical inside, the fill ratio (amount divided by capacity), the amount in mB, the capacity, the number of tanks, and lists of capacities and chemicals across all tanks.[3]

There are also network-wide reads: the total chemical count, the maximum count the network can store, a list of all chemicals in the network, and the count of one given chemical. The mod can also read the radiation level at a target in Sv/h, and it has aspects for Fission Reactors: actual, configured and maximum burn rate, damage factor, environmental loss, and the amount of coolant being heated in mB/t.[3]

On the write side, importing and exporting each come in several flavours: a boolean to switch everything on, a single chemical, a list of chemicals, or a predicate. There is also an amount aspect that moves the given amount each tick. A Chemical Transfer Rate aspect exists, and so does Check Chemical Amount, which only allows exactly the given amount to move in one tick, not less. Filtering works the same way, passing everything, one chemical, a list, or a predicate match.[3]

Energy use and limits in this pack

Each part has a base energy usage in the pack's config. The values are listed below.[4]

Tip: The world importer and exporter jump from a base usage of 1 to 32 once they have a variable, so they have the highest base energy usage of all the parts when you put them to work.[4]

The maximum network chemical transfer rate, core.general.chemicalRateLimit, is set to 9,223,372,036,854,776,000, which is an enormous cap. Radioactive chemicals can cross the network too, because general.general.transferRadioactiveChemicals is true.[4]

Logic programmer and storage terminal

The logic programmer gets a Chemical Recipe element, with tooltips for input and output chemicals, fluids and items. The storage terminal can sort by chemical ID. Clicking a chemical there selects 100,000 by default (machine.general.guiStorageChemicalInitialQuantity), and right-clicking removes 1,000 (machine.general.guiStorageChemicalIncrementalQuantity).[3][4]

How do you progress through IntegratedMekanism?

5 parts

The recipes for IntegratedMekanism in this pack show a crafting chain rather than a set of named tiers. Everything starts with one base part, the chemical interface, and the other chemical parts are built on top of it. The recipes give no power level or tier name, so I won't invent any.[2]

Start: the chemical interface

The Part Interface Chemical is the root of the chain. Craft it first, because the importer, the exporter and the filter interface all need it. One craft gives you a batch of them, so you can make a stack and use them as you go.[2]

Next: importers, exporters and the filter interface

Once you have interfaces, you can craft the Part Importer Chemical, the Part Exporter Chemical and the Part Interface Filter Chemical directly from them. All of these are shapeless recipes.[2]

Last: the world variants

The final step in the chain is the pair of world parts. The Part Importer World Chemical is an upgrade of the chemical importer, and the Part Exporter World Chemical is an upgrade of the chemical exporter. Both are shapeless recipes, so you need the earlier part before you can make its world version.[2]

The chemical reader

The Part Chemical Reader sits outside the interface chain. It has its own shaped recipe and does not need any of the other chemical parts first, so you can craft it whenever you like.[2]

Suggested order

  1. Craft a batch of chemical interfaces.[2]
  2. Turn some of them into importers and exporters, and make a filter interface if you want filtering.[2]
  3. Upgrade an importer or exporter into its world version when you need one.[2]
  4. Craft the chemical reader separately when you want to read chemical data.[2]

Unverified Whether the pack's quest book guides you through any of these parts is not shown in the sources here, so the order above follows the recipes only.

How does IntegratedMekanism work with other mods?

4 parts

In this pack, IntegratedMekanism links Mekanism chemicals to the Integrated Dynamics network. Every recipe that connects it to another mod uses items from both sides, so you need Integrated Dynamics and Mekanism materials to build the chemical parts. All of these are the mod's own crafting recipes.[2]

Starting point: the chemical interface

The Part Interface Chemical is the base part. The importer and exporter recipes both build on it, so craft it first. Its recipe uses an Integrated Dynamics item together with Mekanism's Basic Chemical Tank.[2]

One craft makes 4 interfaces.

Reading chemicals

The Part Chemical Reader is crafted straight from an Integrated Dynamics variable transformer and a Mekanism chemical tank. It does not go through the chemical interface.[2]

Moving chemicals in and out

The Part Importer Chemical and Part Exporter Chemical are shapeless recipes that each take a chemical interface plus an Integrated Dynamics variable transformer. The importer uses the Input Variable Transformer and the exporter uses the Output Variable Transformer.[2]

World versions

The Part Importer World Chemical and Part Exporter World Chemical are made from the plain importer or exporter plus an Integrated Dynamics Logic Director. Craft the plain part first, then convert it.[2]

Tip: The Crystallized Menril Chunk is the Integrated Dynamics item in the interface recipe. Every importer and exporter builds on that interface, so Menril chunks are the first thing to line up.[2]

Which IntegratedMekanism config options matter?

3 parts

Everything here lives in the common config file for the mod, and the options that matter most to you are the chemical ones: how fast chemicals move, what the logistics parts cost in energy, and what the storage terminal does when you click.[4]

Network transfer

The maximum network chemical transfer rate, core.general.chemicalRateLimit, is set to 9,223,372,036,854,776,000 in this pack. That is an enormous ceiling, so you are unlikely to ever hit it.[4]

general.general.transferRadioactiveChemicals is true, so radioactive chemicals can be moved across the network.[4]

Energy use of chemical parts

These are the base energy usage values the pack sets for each chemical part.[4]

Tip: If you use the world importer or exporter with a variable, expect 32 base energy usage instead of 1. Plan your power supply around that.[4]

Storage terminal quantities

When you click a chemical in the storage terminal, the selected amount starts at 100,000 (machine.general.guiStorageChemicalInitialQuantity). Right-clicking with a chemical selected removes 1,000 at a time (machine.general.guiStorageChemicalIncrementalQuantity).[4]

Unverified Which of these values differ from the mod's own defaults is not confirmed by the available sources, so treat the numbers above as this pack's settings only.
