IntegratedCrafting is a mod in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2, where it is version 1.4.8. Craft stuff in Integrated Dynamics networks. (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is IntegratedCrafting?

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

IntegratedCrafting is included in the pack at version 1.1.4. The file is IntegratedCrafting-1.18.2-1.1.4.jar, which means it is built for Minecraft 1.18.2.[1]

The pack's mod list is the only source I have for this mod, and it only confirms the version and file name. It doesn't say when the mod was added to the pack, beyond that it was there in this version or earlier.[1]

Unverified What the mod does, who it is for, and where it fits in the pack's progression are not confirmed by the available sources. There is no platform description or in-jar guidebook for this mod. No quests in the pack involve it, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path, so no progression gating is documented.

Tip: Until more details are confirmed, treat anything you remember about this mod from other packs or versions as unverified here. This pack ships version 1.1.4, so values and recipes may differ.[1]

How do you get started with IntegratedCrafting?

5 parts

IntegratedCrafting is an add-on for Integrated Dynamics that lets you craft stuff inside your networks. All three of its items are built from Integrated Dynamics parts, so get that side of your base going first. After that there are only three items to think about, and the order below makes the most sense.[2][3]

Step one: the Crafting Interface

Start with the Part Interface Crafting. It tells the network where and how things can be crafted. You point it at a machine, like a crafting table or a furnace, and it gets bound to that machine to handle recipes.[2][3]

Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: integratedcrafting:crafting/part_interface_crafting

Open its GUI and you can insert Variable Cards that hold recipes. That tells the interface the bound machine can craft those recipes.[3]

Step two: the Crafting Writer

Next, make the Part Crafting Writer. The interface says where and how something can be crafted, and the writer is how you start a crafting job.[2][3]

Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: integratedcrafting:crafting/part_crafting_writer

Step three: test it with Oak Planks

The mod's own advancements give you a simple first test. Insert a manually created recipe for Oak Planks into a Crafting Interface, then use a Crafting Writer to start a crafting job for Oak Planks. If that works, your setup is good.[3]

Tip: If a recipe won't go in, check the message in the interface slot. It says either that the variable does not contain a recipe, or that the recipe is not acceptable by the target. In this pack recipe validation on insertion is on (machine.general.validateRecipesCraftingInterface) and validation failures are logged to the server logs (machine.general.logRecipeValidationFailures), so the log is the place to look.[3][4]

Later: the Attuned Crafting Interface

Once you're further along, upgrade to the Part Interface Crafting Attuned. You don't add recipes by hand. It reads and exposes every recipe the target machine has, the same ones the Machine Reader lists. Some modded machines aren't supported, and you'll see a red border when you place it on one.[2][3]

This one is built from the normal Crafting Interface, so keep that one around.

Good to know early

How does IntegratedCrafting work?

9 parts

IntegratedCrafting adds autocrafting to Integrated Dynamics networks. The mod itself describes its job as crafting stuff in Integrated Dynamics networks. Everything here revolves around the Crafting Interface, so let's start there.[3]

The Crafting Interface

The Part Interface Crafting tells the network where and how things can be crafted. You point it at a machine, like a crafting table or a furnace, and it gets bound to that machine to handle recipes.[2][3]

Open its GUI and you can insert Variable Cards that hold recipes. Each card tells the interface that this recipe can be crafted with the bound machine.[3]

When you insert a card you get quick feedback: a green checkmark if the recipe is valid for the bound machine, or a red cross if not. Hover over the symbol for more detail. It is there to catch mistakes, like putting a chest recipe into an interface bound to a furnace. In this pack the interface validates recipes on insertion, set by machine.general.validateRecipesCraftingInterface, and failures are written to the server log because machine.general.logRecipeValidationFailures is on.[3][4]

The Attuned Crafting Interface

Later on you can make the Part Interface Crafting Attuned. You don't add recipes by hand: it reads and exposes every recipe the target machine has, the same ones the Machine Reader lists. Some modded machines may not be supported, and you'll see a red border when you place it on one of those.[2][3]

How a crafting job runs

A job can be started with the Part Crafting Writer, for example. One or more Crafting Interfaces that have a matching recipe get used. All the ingredients the recipe needs are pulled from the network and held inside the jobs in those interfaces, so nothing else can use them before the job finishes. The interface then inserts the inputs into the bound machine, based on the storage network contents provided by Integrated Tunnels interfaces.[2][3]

The important catch: the interface does not import results from the machine. Getting the output back into the network is up to you. The crafting table is the exception, since it only needs a Crafting Interface. The job is only marked complete once the expected outputs show up in the storage network.[3]

  • Place an active Integrated Tunnels importer on the machine.[3]
  • Or let the machine output straight into the Crafting Interface. Anything inserted there (items, fluids, energy) goes into the storage network for the configured channel.[3]

Settings and blocking mode

Like most Integrated Dynamics parts, the interface lets you configure the channel, priority and tick rate. You can also change the target side separately for each ingredient type, which helps when a machine takes items from the sides but fluids from the top. The settings GUI also has Blocking Mode, Crafting Channel, Ingredient Type and Disable Craft Check options.[3]

Blocking mode is on by default. The machine only accepts one recipe at a time and starts the next one after the previous one completes. For machines that process several inputs in parallel, turn it off in the settings GUI. With a multi-amount job, the machine then gets as many inputs as it can handle.[3]

Distributed and dynamic recipes

If your machines are slow, you can spread one job over several Crafting Interfaces. The mod's example is crafting 40 iron ingots evenly over 10 furnaces. The only requirement is that every one of those machines has an interface exposing at least exactly the same recipe.[3]

Recipes from Variable Cards can be fully dynamic, such as changing with day and night or with an item's availability in the network. Interfaces detect the update and new jobs use the new recipe straight away, while running jobs keep the old one. The more often a recipe changes, the more lag it can cause, so use it with caution.[3]

The Crafting Writer

The Crafting Writer is how your network starts jobs. Its aspects can craft a given item, fluid, energy amount or recipe. There is also a craft delay aspect: it only crafts if the ingredient has been missing from storage for the set duration.[3]

Debugging jobs

If a job doesn't work, it's usually a misconfiguration. The Network Reader has crafting aspects that list all available recipes, all running crafting jobs and all ingredients being crafted. Showing those lists on Display Panels helps you find the problem. If you have Integrated Terminals installed, the Crafting Job Terminal can show running jobs and missing ingredients, and cancel jobs.[3]

How do you progress through IntegratedCrafting?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

IntegratedCrafting has no tiers of its own in this pack. The sources show only a pair of items you craft: the Part Crafting Writer and the Part Interface Crafting. Both come from plain shaped crafting recipes.[5]

First up: the Crafting Writer

This is the lighter recipe of the bunch. It builds on an Integrated Dynamics component, so it makes sense to be working with Integrated Dynamics before you get here.[5]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
Crafting TableOutput Variable TransformerCrafting Table

Recipe id: integratedcrafting:crafting/part_crafting_writer

Next: the Crafting Interface

The interface recipe draws on more Integrated Dynamics components than the writer does. It also accepts any iron ingot from the iron ingot tag, so you are not tied to one specific mod's iron.[5]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
any iron ingotCrafting Tableany iron ingot
Output Variable TransformerBlock of Crystallized MenrilInput Variable Transformer

Recipe id: integratedcrafting:crafting/part_interface_crafting

Tip: Both recipes are built around Integrated Dynamics parts. Get that mod's progression sorted first and the IntegratedCrafting parts follow naturally.[5]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve IntegratedCrafting, and the sources here show no quest-guided progression for it. The order above comes only from the recipes themselves.

How does IntegratedCrafting work with other mods?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

In this pack, the only recipe link between IntegratedCrafting and another mod is Integrated Dynamics. The crafting parts of IntegratedCrafting are made from Integrated Dynamics components, so you need to be set up with that mod before you can make them.[5]

Crafting Writer

The Part Crafting Writer is built around the Output Variable Transformer and a Crafting Table. The recipe below is the one the pack uses.[5]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Interface

The Part Interface Crafting draws on more Integrated Dynamics items, including the Block of Crystallized Menril, the Input Variable Transformer and the Output Variable Transformer. Check the recipe below for the exact layout.[5]

Tip: Both recipes use the Output Variable Transformer, so it's worth crafting a few of them before you start on either part.[5]

Which IntegratedCrafting config options matter?

3 parts

IntegratedCrafting keeps its settings in one file, config/integratedcrafting-common.toml. Here is what the pack sets for the options you are most likely to touch.[4]

Energy use

These options set the base energy cost of the crafting machines. The crafting interface and the attuned crafting interface are charged per crafting job being processed.[4]

Startup options

core.general.versionChecker is true, so the version checker is enabled. core.general.analytics is also true, which means an anonymous mod startup analytics request may be sent to the mod's analytics service.[4]
