What is Reliquary Reincarnations?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 5.0 guide

Reliquary Reincarnations is included in the pack as version 2.0.62, shipped in the file reliquary-1.21.1-2.0.62.1310.jar.[1]

Unverified No available source describes what Reliquary Reincarnations adds, who it is aimed at, or where its items fit into the pack's progression, so those details are left out until they can be confirmed.

How do you get started with Reliquary Reincarnations?

6 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

Reliquary Reincarnations is built around mob-drop components, and the pack has changed a number of the mod's recipes. Follow the recipes shown here, not what you remember from other modpacks.[2]

Emperor's Chalice: an infinite water source

The Emperor's Chalice is a cheap first craft that pays off right away. It acts as an infinite water bucket, and you toggle it to either drain or place water. This recipe is the mod's own, not changed by the pack.[2][3]

Watch out: Drinking from the chalice restores hunger in exchange for life, so don't use it as a snack at low health.[3]

Magicbane: a weapon for farming drops

Since so much of Reliquary depends on mob drops, make the Magicbane early. Its strength rises with each enchantment on it, and it has a higher chance of getting Reliquary drops. This is also the mod's own recipe.[2][3]

Apothecary Mortar and Cauldron: potions

The Apothecary Mortar grinds ingredients into potion essence, and the Apothecary Cauldron brews potions from that essence. The pack changed both recipes, so use the ones below.[2][3]

Longer-term goal: the Hunter's Handgun

Once you have a steady supply of drops, the Hunter's Handgun is a good next project. The pack changed its recipe and the recipes of the Barrel, Grip and Hammer Assemblies, so craft them from the recipes below. The Grip Assembly needs an Empty Magazine, whose recipe the pack changed too.[2]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work?

6 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

The sources for this mod cover a handful of single blocks and a set of charged items that store their own resources. This section walks through the Altar of Light, the potion setup, pedestals, a couple of area blocks and the charge-based items, with the values this pack actually uses.[4]

Altar of Light: redstone into glowstone

The mod's in-game description says the Altar of Light turns redstone into glowstone. You right-click it with redstone until it activates, and after some time a glowstone block appears on top of it. It needs direct sunlight to work, so don't bury it inside a base.[2][3]

The pack leaves all the altar values at the mod defaults. Activating costs 3 redstone (blocks.altar.redstoneCost). The block takes 20 minutes (blocks.altar.timeInMinutes), plus a random extra of up to 5 minutes (blocks.altar.maximumTimeVarianceInMinutes). While active it gives off light level 16 (blocks.altar.outputLightLevelWhileActive).[4]

Tome of Alkahestry: charge and duplication

The Tome of Alkahestry runs on stored charge. Shift + right-click to activate it, and while active it absorbs any redstone and glowstone in your inventory. You then put it in a crafting grid with certain items to duplicate them for a cost. The tome can hold 1,000 charge (items.alkahestryTome.chargeLimit), which is the mod default.[2][3][4]

The pack changed the tome's recipe, so don't rely on guides written for the base mod. In this pack its charge readout sits at the bottom right of the screen (hudPositions.alkahestryTome).[2][5]

Potions: mortar and cauldron

Potion making is a two-step chain. First you grind ingredients into potion essence in the Apothecary Mortar, and you can combine several ingredients in one go. Then you brew in the Apothecary Cauldron, where the essences go in together with nether wart.[2][3]

According to the mod's description, the cauldron needs a lit fire underneath it and water inside to start. To get the potion out, use empty potion vials, which is the Condensed Potion Vial.[2][3]

The cauldron config in this pack matches the mod defaults. Cook time is 160 (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.cookTime). Up to 2 glowstone can make a potion more potent (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.glowstoneLimit), and up to 3 redstone make it last longer (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.redstoneLimit). The heat source list (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.heatSources) is empty in the pack file.[4]

The pack changed the cauldron, mortar and vial recipes, so check the ones below.[2]

Tip: The potion system (mortar, altar, potions, tipped arrows and powder) can be switched off with disable.potion. In this pack it is left on.[4]

Pedestals: Reliquary's automation

Per the in-game tooltips, pedestals automate stuff and things placed in them, while passive pedestals are only a fancy display of items. Both kinds are enabled in the pack (disable.pedestal and disable.passivePedestal are false).[3][4]

The sources describe the pedestal behaviours through their config options. All of these are at the mod defaults in this pack:[4]

Area blocks

Charged items and their pack values

The Destruction Catalyst consumes gunpowder to destroy blocks, according to its description. It only breaks mundane blocks, leaves everything else in place, and the blocks it breaks drop nothing. It stores up to 250 gunpowder, each use costs 3, and each gunpowder you feed it counts as 1. The explosion radius is 1 and isn't centered on the clicked block. All of this is the mod default.[2][3][4]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: reliquary:destruction_catalyst

The pack changed the Rending Gale. Its charge limit, the number of feathers it can hold, is 30,000 here instead of the mod default of 300 (items.rendingGale.chargeLimit). The tooltip says it lets you fly, push and pull mobs, or shoot lightning while raining, and you change modes with Shift + scroll.[3][4]

The Angelic Feather absorbs fall damage in exchange for hunger, according to its description. In this pack it uses 50% hunger per 1 damage and gives a leaping potency of 1. The Angelheart Vial heals 25% of your max life when you would die, and it removes negative statuses. All of these are mod defaults.[2][3][4]

The tooltip describes the Emperor's Chalice as an infinite water bucket. You toggle it to either drain or place water, and drinking from it restores hunger in exchange for life.[2][3]

  • any gold ingot

Per its tooltip, the Ender Staff uses ender pearls to teleport you around. Shift + scroll cycles through Cast, Long Cast, Node Warp and Bind. Wraith nodes are the destinations for its wraith node mode.[3]

How do you progress through Reliquary Reincarnations?

7 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

Reliquary Reincarnations doesn't have a quest line in this pack, so your progression comes from the crafting chain itself. Many items are built from other crafted items, which gives you a natural order to work through. The recipes below are the in-pack versions, and a lot of them are marked as changed by the pack.[2]

Unverified The sources here show no quest chapter for this mod, so the stages below are my grouping based on recipe dependencies, not an official quest path. If the pack's quest book places the mod anywhere, that detail is not shown in the sources used for this guide.

Starting out: crafts from general materials

Begin with items that don't need any Reliquary component. The Emperor's Chalice and Glowing Water are mod recipes built from general materials. The pack changed the Condensed Potion Vial and the Empty Magazine recipes, so check the in-pack versions instead of relying on what you remember.[2]

The pack changed this recipe, and later gun parts build on it.

First Reliquary intermediates

Next come the building blocks that later items consume. Fertile Essence and Infernal Claw are both crafted from mod components. Fertile Essence feeds the Harvest Rod, the Fertile Potion, the Aphrodite's Serum and the Angelheart Vial. The Angelheart Vial also needs an Infernal Claw.[2]

The Kraken Shell is a short chain of its own. You craft a Kraken Shell Fragment first, then combine it with a Nebulous Heart.[2]

The Infernal line

From the Infernal Claw you can make Infernal Claws and the Infernal Tear. The Infernal Tear is a key component: it goes into the Destruction Catalyst, the Hero's Medallion and the Infernal Chalice. The Infernal Chalice also builds on the Emperor's Chalice you made at the start.[2]

The Hunter's Handgun branch

The Hunter's Handgun is the longest single chain here. You craft the Barrel Assembly, Grip Assembly and Hammer Assembly first. The Grip Assembly builds on the Empty Magazine from the start of the chain. The pack changed all of these recipes, including the handgun itself.[2]

Ammo has its own ladder, and the pack changed every shot recipe. The basic shots are Neutral Shot, Concussive Shot and Seeker Shot. Each upgrades into a stronger type: Exorcism Shot, Buster Shot and Ender Shot.[2]

Ice tools

The Glacial Staff is built from a Frozen Core, the Ice Magus Rod and the Shears of Winter. The Ice Magus Rod is itself crafted from a Frozen Core, so that core is worth collecting early.[2]

Crafting stations and the Tome

The Altar of Light, the Apothecary Cauldron and the Apothecary Mortar are crafted from Reliquary components. The pack changed the Cauldron and Mortar recipes, so don't assume the mod's default recipes apply.[2]

Changed by the pack.

Watch out: The Tome of Alkahestry recipe is changed by the pack. It is a big recipe that uses many different Reliquary components, so gather them all before you start.[2]

Changed by the pack.

Charms and pedestals

Mob charms are a side branch. Each mob type has its own Mob Charm Fragment recipe, and every fragment recipe shown in the sources was changed by the pack. The Charm Belt recipe is changed too. So are the pedestal upgrades, which turn a passive pedestal into the full pedestal using a diamond.[2]

Tip: Make the intermediates (Fertile Essence, Infernal Claw, then Infernal Tear) before you chase specific tools. Many of the recipes in this guide consume one of them.[2]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work with other mods?

2 parts

Reliquary connects to other mods in this pack through recipes. The pack changed several Reliquary recipes so they need items from other mods, and it added recipes in other mods that use Reliquary items as ingredients.[6]

Reliquary recipes changed by the pack

The pack changed the recipes for Angelic Feather, Ender Staff, Coin of Fortune, Interdiction Torch and Rending Gale. Every one of them now takes the same cross-mod item, Bat's Wing. Here are the in-pack recipes.[6]

Which Reliquary Reincarnations config options matter?

4 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

Reliquary Reincarnations is mostly left alone in this pack. In the common config, only one value is flagged as changed from the mod default. Every other value that lists a mod default matches it.[4]

The one value the pack changed

The Rending Gale can hold far more feathers here. items.rendingGale.chargeLimit is set to 30,000, where the mod default is 300.[4]

The other Rending Gale costs are untouched. items.rendingGale.boltChargeCost is 100 feathers per lightning bolt, items.rendingGale.castChargeCost is 1 feather per cast in flight mode, and each feather you feed it is worth 100 through items.rendingGale.chargeFeatherWorth.[4]

Drops, loot and disabled features

Reliquary mob drops and chest loot are both on, through mobDropsEnabled and chestLootEnabled. dropCraftingRecipesEnabled is false, so the mob drops do not get crafting recipes.[4]

None of the big systems are disabled. The handgun, charms, the Alkahestry tome, pedestals and the potion system all have their disable.handgun, disable.charms, disable.alkahestryTome, disable.pedestal and disable.potion toggles set to false.[4]

Values worth knowing

Client settings

Nearly every item HUD sits in the BOTTOM_RIGHT corner. The exception is the Mob Charm HUD, which sits on the RIGHT through hudPositions.mobCharm. You can move any of them to BOTTOM_LEFT, LEFT, TOP_LEFT, TOP, TOP_RIGHT, RIGHT or BOTTOM_RIGHT.[5]

waila_shift_for_info is false, so you don't need to sneak to see the extra tooltip details.[5]
