AdvancedAE is a mod in FTB Skies 2 1.24.0, where it is version 1.6.12-1.21.1. An AE2 addon that adds a lot of utilities and quality of life. (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is AdvancedAE?

2 parts

AdvancedAE is an Applied Energistics 2 addon that makes your ME system easier to live with and gives you more to build toward in the late game. The pack ships version 1.6.12 for Minecraft 1.21.1. It's for you if you already have an ME network running and want smarter automation, bigger crafting power, and some handy extras.[1][2][3]

What it adds

The first big feature is the Advanced Pattern Provider. With the Advanced Pattern Encoder you choose which face of the target machine each input in a Processing Pattern goes to. That saves you extra pipes and sides on machines that need specific inputs on specific faces. Use Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade on a regular AE2 Pattern Provider or an ExtendedAE Extended Pattern Provider to upgrade it, and it keeps the slot count it had.[1][4][5][6]

The second is the Quantum Computer, a special crafting unit that can run an unlimited number of crafting tasks as long as it has enough crafting storage. All those tasks share the co-processors in the multiblock. The Quantum Computer Core works as a standalone crafting unit with 256M of storage and 8 co-processors. A multiblock that includes a core can be scaled up to 5x5x5 and uses a single channel. The Quantum Data Entangler and the Quantum Computer Multi-Threader multiply the multiblock's storage and co-processors by 4, respectively.[1][7][8]

There's more besides. The Quantum Crafter is a powerful auto crafter that reads the ME system's inventory directly. The Reaction Chamber is a power-hungry machine that processes materials efficiently and makes items you need to progress in the mod. The ME Stock Export Bus keeps an exact amount of an item in the target inventory. The mod also adds the Quantum Armor Set and the ME Throughput Monitor.[1][8]

Where it fits in this pack

The pack's quests for this mod sit in the ae2 chapter. They follow the usual AE2 progression, with the Quantum Computer parts unlocking in this order:[8]

  1. Get the Quantum Crafting Unit ("Quantum Autocrafting" quest). It opens up the next two quests.[8]
  2. Make the Quantum Computer Core ("The Quantum Computer Core" quest) and the Quantum Crafter ("Quantum Crafter" quest).[8]
  3. After the core comes the Quantum Computer Structural Glass ("The Quantum Computer Structure" quest).[8]
  4. The structure then unlocks the expansion parts: Quantum Data Entangler ("Quantum Data Entangler" quest), Quantum Computer Accelerator ("Quantum Acceleration" quest), 128M Quantum Computer Storage ("Quantum Storage" quest) and Quantum Computer Multi-Threader ("Multi-Threading" quest).[8]
  5. A final quest, "Maximum Size Quantum Computer" quest, asks for the structure, accelerator, 256M Quantum Computer Storage, multi-threader, core and entangler together.[8]

Outside the Quantum Computer line, the chapter also has quests for the Reaction Chamber ("The Reaction Chamber" quest), the ME Stock Export Bus ("ME Stock Export Bus" quest) and the pattern provider upgrade ("Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade" quest).[8]

How do you get started with AdvancedAE?

6 parts

AdvancedAE is an AE2 addon built around two big ideas: pattern providers that can push items to specific sides of a machine, and a multiblock Quantum Computer that can run an unlimited number of crafts as long as it has crafting storage left. Here is the order I'd tackle things in this pack.[1][3]

Step one: the Reaction Chamber

Start with the Reaction Chamber. It makes Shattered Singularity, which the mod describes as having several applications in quantum computing. You'll see it in most of the quantum recipes below, so you want a supply early. This pack has a quest for the chamber as well: "The Reaction Chamber" quest.[8][9][10][11]

Watch out: The chamber is power hungry, especially with Acceleration Cards. If the ME system can't supply enough power per tick you may see flickering. Energy buffers on the network help, and so does using fewer acceleration cards.[9]

Step two: the Quantum Crafting Unit

Next comes the Quantum Crafting Unit, the base block for the Quantum Computer. The pack changed this recipe, so don't trust any recipe you remember from the mod's defaults. Its quest is "Quantum Autocrafting" quest, and the core and crafter quests come after it.[8][10]

Quantum Crafting UnitChanged by the pack

This recipe was changed by the pack.

Step three: the Quantum Core

The Quantum Computer Core works on its own. By itself it gives 256M of crafting storage and 8 co-processor threads, and it is the only block that can form a quantum computer alone. As a standalone computer, power has to come in through its Up or Down sides. The core's recipe includes other quantum blocks, so work through the accelerator and storage recipes below first. Its quest is "The Quantum Computer Core" quest.[7][8][10]

This is the accelerator recipe, and the pack changed it.

Step four: growing it into a multiblock

Once the core works, you can expand it. Quantum Computer Structural Glass frames the outside layer, and the quest for it is "The Quantum Computer Structure" quest. Accelerators add co-processors, storage blocks add crafting storage, and every running craft shares all the co-processors. The Quantum Data Entangler and the Quantum Computer Multi-Threader multiply storage and co-processors, and you can only have one of each per computer.[7][8]

The pack changed the Data Entangler and Multi-Threader recipes, so check them in the recipe viewer before you plan a build.[10]

The maximum multiblock size is a server config value, and the structural glass tooltip shows the limit for your instance.[7][11]

Step five: pattern providers and the encoder

For machine automation, craft the Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade. It upgrades a regular or Extended Pattern Provider to the advanced version and keeps the same number of slots, so you don't lose your earlier upgrade materials. Its quest is "Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade" quest.[6][8][10]

The Advanced Pattern Encoder is what sets the target face for each ingredient in a pattern. Leave a row on the "A" button and items go to whatever face touches the provider. Only advanced providers read these directions; any other provider treats the pattern as a normal one.[4]

If you'd rather build the provider directly, the pack changed the recipe for the Advanced Extended Pattern Provider, and that version holds up to 36 patterns.[5][10]

Step six: the Stock Export Bus

Finally, the ME Stock Export Bus keeps an exact amount of an item in a target inventory, as long as your ME system has it. It also has its own quest, "ME Stock Export Bus" quest.[1][8][10]

How does AdvancedAE work?

7 parts

Advanced AE is an AE2 add-on, so everything here plugs into your ME network. It upgrades pattern providers so they can push items into specific sides of a machine, and it adds a multiblock crafting computer that can run an unlimited number of crafts while it has crafting storage left. This section covers how those systems behave in the pack.[1][3]

Directional pattern providers

The Advanced Extended Pattern Provider lets you choose which face of the target machine each ingredient in a pattern is pushed into. That means machines that want specific inputs on specific sides (the guide jokes about Mekanism) can be automated with a single block and no pipes. The extended version holds up to 36 patterns.[5]

To set the sides you need the Advanced Pattern Encoder. Right-click with it in hand to open its screen, then put an encoded Processing Pattern in the left slot. Every raw ingredient is listed with one button per block face. Leaving the choice on the "A" button sends the item to whatever face is directly connected to the provider, while picking a face forces that face.[4][11]

Watch out: Advanced patterns only decode properly in an advanced provider. In any other pattern provider they behave like a normal pattern. Even in an advanced provider, if a single item cannot be inserted into its chosen face, nothing is inserted directionally and normal pattern provider behaviour is used instead.[4]

You do not have to rebuild your setup to upgrade. The Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade works on regular AE2 pattern providers and ExtendedAE extended providers, and keeps the number of slots they had. The Capacity Upgrade turns a regular provider straight into an advanced one with 36 pattern slots. Providers in part form on a cable can be converted by crafting.[6][10][11]

In this pack's recipes, the cable-part provider converts into the block version with a shapeless craft.

Buses

The ME Import Export Bus combines an export bus and an import bus. The filter sets which stacks are exported, and anything not in the filter is a valid stack to import.[10][12]

ME Import BusLogic ProcessorME Export Bus

Recipe id: advanced_ae:import_export_bus

The ME Stock Export Bus exports an exact amount of each filtered stack. It tracks what is already in the target inventory and never inserts above your number. Open its GUI, drag an item into the filter and middle click to set the amount. It will not pull out extras if the count goes over, and it can take a crafting card so it can request the items it needs.[1][13]

The ME Advanced IO Bus inherits what both of those buses do. Its base speed is 8 times higher than a basic bus, though it takes a while to ramp up. It exports according to its filter up to a fixed amount, and a setting on the left of its screen lets it regulate stock. Imports and exports are counted separately, so it won't get stuck on one of them. When regulating, it imports anything over the set amount first, then imports anything that isn't filtered to be exported.[11][14]

Quantum Computer

The Quantum Computer is a special crafting computer. It runs an unlimited number of crafting requests as long as it has enough crafting storage, and every running pattern shares all of its co-processors. The whole multiblock uses a single channel.[1][7]

  • Quantum Computer Core: 256M of crafting storage and 8 co-processor threads on its own. It is the only block that forms a quantum computer by itself. As a standalone computer, power must come in through the Up or Down sides, where the connectors are.[7][11]
  • Quantum Computer Storage: adds crafting storage, which raises how many concurrent tasks it can run. It comes in 128M and 256M versions.[7][11]
  • Quantum Data Entangler: multiplies the storage of all storage blocks in the multiblock by 4. You can place only one per multiblock.[7][11][15]
  • Quantum Computer Accelerator: adds 8 co-processors to the multiblock.[7][11][15]
  • Quantum Computer Multi-Threader: multiplies the co-processing power of the accelerators by 4. You can place only one per multiblock.[7][11][15]
  • Quantum Computer Structural Glass: the framing that connects everything together. It is used on the outside layer of the multiblock.[7][11]

The multiblock has a few rules. Its maximum external size is 7x7x7 and no empty spaces are allowed inside, though gaps can be filled with a filler block for no extra benefit. The outer layer must be structural glass.[7][11]

The limits come from the server config, and this pack leaves all of them at the mod defaults. The maximum size is [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxSize]] (7), each accelerator gives [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerAcceleratorThreads]] (8) threads, and the multi-threader and data entangler multipliers are [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMultiThreaderMultiplication]] and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerDataEntanglerMultiplication]] (4 each). The maximum counts are [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxMultiThreaders]] and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputermaxDataEntanglers]] (1 each).[7][15]

Tip: Item tooltips show the limits that apply on your instance, so check them if you are planning a big build.[7]

Quantum Crafter

The Quantum Crafter is an auto-crafter with direct access to your ME inventory. Place it on the network and connect it with a cable (it needs one channel). It can run fluid substitution crafts and recursive crafts, where an input is also an output.[16]

  1. Encode the recipes you want run indefinitely as crafting patterns and insert them into the crafter.[16]
  2. Use the square button at the bottom of a pattern to enable or disable it. Disabled patterns are never crafted.[16]
  3. Click the cog to open the Pattern Configuration screen. There you set how much of each ingredient to always keep in the ME system, and a maximum amount of the end product. Type the number, which can be a maths expression, and press enter to apply it.[16]
  4. Set the output limit to 0 to remove it, and the crafter keeps going until inputs run out.[11][16]

By default, crafted items go straight from the output slots into the ME system. The cell button on the left toolbar switches output to adjacent inventories instead, and a second button then picks which sides may auto-export. The crafter also accepts upgrade cards. One kind greatly speeds it up, up to 64 crafts of each pattern per tick, and the other adds redstone control.[11][16]

Watch out: Recipes that consume durability are not supported. Invalid patterns are highlighted in the pattern screen.[11]

Reaction Chamber

The Reaction Chamber uses a catalyst fluid and a lot of power to run reactions. Acceleration Cards raise the power needed per tick. If the chamber draws power straight from the ME system and can't get a full tick's worth, you may see flickering, so give the network energy buffers. Reducing the number of acceleration cards also helps when you are short on power.[9]

  • Full block pattern provider: it connects the chamber directly to the grid so power is drawn as needed. If the grid holds less than the power needed per tick, progress slows and a warning shows on screen.[9]
  • External power: any source that can push energy will fill its buffers, and a warning shows if the power arrives too slowly.[9]
  • Induction Cards (needs Applied Flux): they go in cable-part or directional pattern providers and export power stored in energy cells. They start slow and ramp up, so speed won't be maxed at first.[9]
Tip: Pattern providers or interfaces in part form do not give the chamber a grid connection. Connect a fluix cable directly to the chamber if you want to power it that way.[9]

Reaction recipes use the mod's own recipe type with an energy cost, one fluid and several items. The mod uses it for Shattered Singularity, Quantum Alloy and Quantum Alloy Plate.[10][17]

The pack adds its own reactions on top of these. Several end-game FTB items are made in the chamber, with energy costs of 5,000,000 or 2,500,000. One cheaper reaction for Flux Dust costs 25,000. The pack also has alternative reactions for Supercritical Mass and the Bio Neural Circuit that avoid Modern Industrialization.[17]

Throughput Monitor

The ME Throughput Monitor works like a normal monitor but adds a rate meter for one item or fluid type. It does not need a channel. Right-click with an item, or double-right-click with a fluid container, to set it. Right-click with an empty hand to clear it, and shift-right-click with an empty hand to lock it.[18]

Right-clicking a monitor with the Throughput Monitor Configurator cycles between items per tick, per second and per minute. Readings can take a while to settle after you change modes. The pack's Miscellaneous.throughputMonitorCacheSize is 80 (the mod default, range 40 to 400). It only affects the per minute and per 10 minutes modes, where higher values give more precision but slower reactions.[15][18]

Quantum Armor

The quantum armor is an energy-powered suit with defenses comparable to Netherite. Its buffer can create an energy shield, the boots negate fall damage, and the chestplate removes the mining penalty while flying. Each piece is linked to your system individually, and the linked perks only work while you are in range of the access point.[19]

Open the Quantum Armor Configuration menu with the hotkey (N by default) while wearing the pieces. There you add or remove upgrade cards, toggle them and adjust their settings. Every upgrade card is crafted from the Quantum Upgrade Base Card. Examples are the Auto Feeding Card, which pulls chosen food from the ME system when you are hungry, and the Sprint Speed Card.[10][19]

The pack leaves the armor values at the mod defaults. For example, [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorPercentageDamageAbsorption]] is 30, so the armor absorbs at most 30 percent of incoming damage, still limited by the stored energy. [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMagnetRange]] is 12 and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorEvasionChance]] is 30.[15]

How do you progress through AdvancedAE?

3 parts

AdvancedAE builds on top of your ME system. It adds pattern providers that can push items to specific sides of a machine, extra ME buses, a multiblock Quantum Computer for end-game crafting, and a wearable armor set. In this pack the quests for the mod sit in the AE2 chapter, and they cover the pattern provider and bus items plus the whole Quantum Computer line.[3][8][19]

Pattern providers and buses

One quest in the AE2 chapter asks for the Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade ("Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade" quest). It upgrades a regular AE pattern provider or an ExtendedAE one to the advanced version and keeps the slot count it already had, so you don't lose the materials you spent on extended providers.[6][8]

The Quantum Computer

This is the longest quest line for the mod. It starts with the Quantum Crafting Unit ("Quantum Autocrafting" quest). The pack changed this recipe, so check the one below rather than the mod's default.[8][10]

Quantum Crafting UnitChanged by the pack

Two quests unlock once you have the unit: the Quantum Computer Core ("The Quantum Computer Core" quest) and the Quantum Crafter ("Quantum Crafter" quest). The core is the heart of the multiblock. By itself it gives 256M of crafting storage and 8 co-processor threads, and it is the only block that can form a quantum computer on its own.[7][8]

The core quest leads to the Quantum Computer Structural Glass ("The Quantum Computer Structure" quest). That quest then unlocks four more: the Quantum Data Entangler ("Quantum Data Entangler" quest), the Quantum Computer Accelerator ("Quantum Acceleration" quest), the 128M Quantum Computer Storage ("Quantum Storage" quest) and the Quantum Computer Multi-Threader ("Multi-Threading" quest).[8]

One more quest ("Maximum Size Quantum Computer" quest) is a checklist that also follows the structural glass quest. It asks for the structural glass, accelerator, 256M storage, multi-threader, core and data entangler together.[8]

Quantum armor

The Quantum Armor Set (Quantum Helmet, Quantum Chestplate, Quantum Leggings and Quantum Boots) connects to your AE2 system. By default it is an energy-powered suit with defenses comparable to Netherite gear. Its real power comes from upgrade cards, which you install in the configuration menu (N by default). The Quantum Upgrade Base Card is a crafting ingredient for all upgrade cards.[19]

How does AdvancedAE work with other mods?

5 parts

AdvancedAE is an AE2 addon, so almost everything it adds is crafted from AE2 parts. In this pack it also reaches into ExtendedAE, EnderDrives and AE2's wireless terminal system. Here is where those connections show up in recipes and quests.[1][10]

Built on AE2

The Quantum Processor is the key part. It is made in an AE2 inscriber from AE2's Printed Silicon, and it shows up in armor, terminals and many other recipes. The crystal assembler from ExtendedAE has its own recipe for the same item.[10]

Inscriber (ae2)

Recipe id: advanced_ae:quantum_processor

The bus line builds on AE2's buses and processors: ME Import Export Bus, ME Stock Export Bus and ME Advanced IO Bus. The Advanced IO Bus inherits the functions of its parent buses.[10][12][14]

The Quantum Armor connects to your AE2 network. You link each piece to the system, and the extra perks only work while you are in range of the connected access point. Each armor piece is crafted from the matching netherite piece plus ME Wireless Access Point. Most upgrade cards also use an AE2 item such as the Acceleration Card, and some use vanilla items like a lava bucket or a totem of undying.[10][19]

Shattered Singularity, which the Quantum Computer parts and the Inscriber Quantum Press need, is made in the Reaction Chamber from AE2's Singularity and Sky Stone Dust.[10]

Reaction (advanced_ae)

ExtendedAE

The pack changes several AdvancedAE recipes so they use Concurrent Processor. The Quantum Crafting Unit, the Quantum Computer Accelerator and the Quantum Computer Multi-Threader all need it. The Advanced Pattern Provider Capacity Upgrade is also a changed recipe, made in ExtendedAE's crystal assembler.[10]

The Advanced Extended Pattern Provider is crafted from ExtendedAE's ME Extended Pattern Provider, and the pack changed this recipe too. The Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade works on regular AE2 providers and on ExtendedAE's Extended Pattern Providers. It keeps their slot count, so you don't lose the materials you put into an extended provider. The Capacity Upgrade turns a regular provider straight into an advanced one with 36 pattern slots.[6][10]

EnderDrives

The pack changes the recipes for the Ender item and fluid storage cells, covering 1k up to 256k, plus the Ender item and fluid housings. They now use Quantum Alloy Plate and Quantum Processor, so you need to reach AdvancedAE before you can make them. The Ender storage components change too: the 1k one uses Quantum Storage Component, while the 16k and 256k ones use Shattered Singularity.[10]

Wireless terminals

The pack has combine recipes that pair the Wireless Quantum Crafter Terminal with the Wireless Crafting Terminal, the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal or the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal. The sources here don't show the result of these combinations.[10]

Quests

The quests that ask for AdvancedAE items sit in the pack's ae2 chapter, alongside the base AE2 progression. They cover the Reaction Chamber ("The Reaction Chamber" quest), the Stock Export Bus ("ME Stock Export Bus" quest), the Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade ("Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade" quest) and the Quantum Crafting Unit ("Quantum Autocrafting" quest). The Quantum Computer Core ("The Quantum Computer Core" quest) and the Quantum Crafter ("Quantum Crafter" quest) both come after the Quantum Crafting Unit quest.[8]

Which FTB Skies 2 quests use AdvancedAE?

2 parts

Everything AdvancedAE related in this pack sits in the "ae2" quest chapter. These quests are untitled in the pack files, so you find them by the item they ask for. Most ask you to get a single item. The last one in the quantum line asks for a whole set.[8]

Standalone unlocks

These quests branch off other parts of the chapter rather than the quantum computer line. Their parent quests don't ask for AdvancedAE items, so they aren't covered here.[8]

The quantum computer line

The rest of the chapter walks you through building a quantum computer. Here's the order the quests unlock in:[8]

  1. "Quantum Autocrafting" quest asks for the Quantum Crafting Unit. It unlocks after other quests in the chapter that don't ask for AdvancedAE items.[8]
  2. "The Quantum Computer Core" quest asks for the Quantum Computer Core, and "Quantum Crafter" quest asks for the Quantum Crafter. Both unlock once the Quantum Crafting Unit quest is done.[8]
  3. "The Quantum Computer Structure" quest asks for the Quantum Computer Structural Glass and unlocks after the Quantum Computer Core quest.[8]
  4. Several quests then open up at the same time after the structural glass quest. "Quantum Data Entangler" quest asks for the Quantum Data Entangler. "Quantum Acceleration" quest asks for the Quantum Computer Accelerator. "Quantum Storage" quest asks for the 128M Quantum Computer Storage. "Multi-Threading" quest asks for the Quantum Computer Multi-Threader.[8]
  5. "Maximum Size Quantum Computer" quest also unlocks after the structural glass quest. It's the big one, asking for the structural glass, the accelerator, the 256M Quantum Computer Storage, the multi-threader, the core and the data entangler, all in a single quest.[8]
Tip: You can tackle the quests that follow the structural glass quest in any order, since they only depend on that one quest. The final quest asks for the 256M Quantum Computer Storage rather than the 128M Quantum Computer Storage, so don't stop at the smaller storage if you want to finish the chapter's quantum section.[8]

Which AdvancedAE config options matter?

3 parts

Good news: this pack doesn't touch AdvancedAE's balance. Every option in the common config is set to the same value as the mod default, so you won't get any surprises compared with the mod's own numbers. Here are the options you're most likely to care about, and what the pack sets them to.[15]

Quantum Computer

These options decide how big and how strong your Quantum Computer multiblock can get. For each option below, the pack's config shows the same value as the mod default.[15]

  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxSize]] is 7 in this pack (allowed range 5 to 12). The mod's project page describes the multiblock as scaling up to 5x5x5, but the pack's config file is what applies here.[1][15]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerAcceleratorThreads]] is 8 threads per Quantum Computer Accelerator (range 4 to 16).[15]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputermaxDataEntanglers]] is 1 and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxMultiThreaders]] is 1, so you get one Data Entangler and one Multi Threader per multiblock (both can go up to 2).[15]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerDataEntanglerMultiplication]] and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMultiThreaderMultiplication]] are both 4 (range 2 to 8). That is the multiplication factor each of those special blocks applies.[15]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-client.toml#quantum computer.enableEffects]] is true. It's a client-side option, so it only affects what you see on your own machine.[20]

Quantum Armor

The Quantum Armor options below tune the individual cards and armor limits. For each one, the pack's config shows the same value as the mod default.[15]

  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorPercentageDamageAbsorption]] is 30 (range 5 to 100). It's the maximum percentage of incoming damage the armor absorbs, and it is still limited by the energy buffer in the equipment.[15]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorEvasionChance]] is 30 (range 0 to 100) as the evasion chance percentage, and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorHpBuffer]] is 20 (range 5 to 50) for the HP Buffer card.[15]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorRenegerationPerTick]] is 10 (range 1 to 20). The value is divided by 10 before use.[15]
  • Movement caps are [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxWalkSpeed]] at 60, [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxSprintSpeed]] at 80 and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorSwimSpeedBoost]] at 80. All three are divided by 10 before use. [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxFlightSpeed]] is 10.[15]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxJumpHeight]] and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxStepHeight]] are both 3, and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxReachBoost]] is 5.[15]

Miscellaneous.throughputMonitorCacheSize is 80 in this pack (range 40 to 400). It only affects the "Per minute" and "Per 10 minutes" modes of the Throughput Monitor. Higher values give you more precision, but the monitor reacts more slowly to changes.[15]

Tip: Since the pack doesn't change anything from the defaults, any edit you make to these files is your own tweak. Stay inside the ranges listed above, and remember that the walk, sprint, swim and regeneration values are divided by 10 before the game uses them.[15]

What changed in AdvancedAE between versions?

FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 ships AdvancedAE 1.6.12-1.21.1. The mod has been in the pack since FTB Skies 2 1.0.1 or earlier. Here are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]

  • 1.6.11: Fixed the quantum crafter using its output space as an intermediate step before pushing to ME Storage. This fixes some item voiding in setups with high output.[21]
  • 1.6.10: Fixed the auto stock menu not being able to change the amounts of items that were already in it.[22]
  • 1.6.9: Added extra client side checks for player events.[23]
  • 1.6.7: Added IngredientStack, an ingredient that can hold items or fluids and their amount.[24]
  • 1.6.6: Fixed the reaction chamber getting stuck when its inputs are split across multiple slots.[25]
  • 1.5.1: Fixed an error in the recipe to combine with the crafting terminal.[26]
  • 1.4.5: Increased the throughput monitor precision for slowly changing items, and fixed an issue in the translated guides.[27]
  • 1.2.5: Updated to the latest AE2.[28]
Tip: If you build big automated setups with the quantum crafter, the 1.6.11 fix matters most. It is already included in the 1.6.12 version this pack uses.[2][21]

Unverified The changelog text for 1.6.12 itself, and any pack changelog entries about AdvancedAE, were not available, so what changed in those releases is unconfirmed.
