What is Mystical Agradditions?

Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture that pushes the farming tree past its usual limit. It adds a tier 6 essence called Insanium, plus tier 6 resource crops for high-end materials like Nether Stars.[1]
It also adds Paxels, which combine a Pickaxe, Axe and Shovel into a single tool, and Essence Coal, which cooks more items than regular Coal. If you're already deep into Mystical Agriculture and want to grow your endgame materials instead of hunting for them, this mod is your next step.[1]
All the Mods 10 4.5 includes Mystical Agradditions version 8.0.8.[2]
Where it fits in the quests
The pack's Mystical Agriculture quest chapter builds this mod in at every tier. Each tier has an apple quest, from the Inferium Apple up to the Supremium Apple. Each tier's tool quest also accepts that tier's paxel, from the Inferium Paxel all the way to the Awakened Supremium Paxel.[3]
Insanium is the big step up. The Insanium Essence quest, a quest in "?", shares its prerequisite with the Supremium quests. It unlocks quests for the Insanium Apple, Insanium Farmland, Insanium Coal Block and Creative Essence.[3]
The Insanium Farmland quest then leads into the special resource crops. Each of those quests asks for the seeds plus the matching crux: the Dragon Egg Crux, the Nether Star Crux and the Nitro Crystal Crux. These quests also have a second prerequisite quest.[3]
Insanium items come back in another quest chapter too. There, quests ask for the Insanium Block, the Insanium Gemstone Block, the Insanium Coal Block and the Nether Star Crux, so it pays to keep an Insanium setup running.[4]
Unverified The mod advertises Tinkers' Construct integration, but it is not confirmed whether that integration is present or usable in this pack.
How do you get started with Mystical Agradditions?

Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It adds a sixth essence tier called Insanium, tier 6 crops for high-end materials like Nether Stars and Dragon Eggs, Paxels that combine a pickaxe, axe and shovel into one tool, and Essence Coal that can cook more items than regular coal.[1]
In this pack you won't find a separate chapter for it. Its items are woven into the Mystical Agriculture quest chapter, one tier at a time, so you pick them up as you climb the normal essence tiers.[3]
Step 1: Inferium extras
Your first useful craft is the Inferium Paxel. It rolls your pickaxe, axe and shovel into a single tool, which frees up hotbar space right away. It also counts for the Inferium tool quest a quest in "?", which accepts any Inferium tool or the Paxel.[1][3]

Unverified The sources don't say what effects the essence apples give when you eat them, so check the in-game tooltip before relying on them.
Got spare Inferium Essence? Turn some into Inferium Coal, since Essence Coal cooks more items than regular coal. You can pack it into an Inferium Coal Block and uncraft it back whenever you need to.[1][5]
Climbing the tiers
Every time you reach a new essence tier, the quest book asks for that tier's tool (the Paxel counts) and its apple. The recipes follow the same pattern each time, so once you've made the Inferium versions you already know the drill.[3][5]
- Prudentium: make a Prudentium Paxel or any Prudentium tool for a quest in "?", plus a Prudentium Apple for a quest in "?".[3]
- Tertium: make a Tertium Paxel or any Tertium tool for a quest in "?", plus a Tertium Apple for a quest in "?".[3]
- Imperium: make a Imperium Paxel or any Imperium tool for a quest in "?", plus an Imperium Apple for a quest in "?".[3]
- Supremium: make a Supremium Paxel or any Supremium tool for a quest in "?", plus a Supremium Apple for a quest in "?".[3]
Your first Insanium
The big goal is Insanium Essence, quest a quest in "?". It unlocks alongside the Supremium quests and is crafted from Supremium Essence. If you run Productive Bees, an Insanium honeycomb in the centrifuge also produces it.[3][5]

Once you have Insanium Essence, the quest line branches out. You can go for the Insanium Apple, Insanium Farmland, an Insanium Coal Block and eventually Creative Essence. Make the farmland early, because a quest in "?" is a prerequisite for the Nether Star, Dragon Egg and Nitro Crystal crux quests.[3]
How does Mystical Agradditions work?

Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It builds on that mod's essence and crop system rather than adding its own machines. Its main systems are a new top essence tier, higher-tier resource crops, Paxels, Essence Coal and Tinkers' Construct integration.[1][6]
Insanium: the tier 6 essence
The heart of the mod is Insanium, a tier 6 essence that sits above the base mod's tiers. Insanium Essence unlocks tier 6 crops for high-end materials, so getting a steady supply of it is your main goal with this mod.[1]

Like the base mod's essences, Insanium has a storage block. You can craft Insanium Essence into an Insanium Block and uncraft the block back into essence. There's also a second Insanium Block recipe that skips the loose essence entirely, which is handy if you already have base-mod storage blocks lying around.[5]

Insanium Essence feeds a family of materials: Insanium Ingot, Insanium Gemstone and Insanium Gemstone Block. The gemstone block can be uncrafted back into gemstones, so you won't lose anything by compacting them.[5]

Boss drops and crafted substitutes

Essence Coal
Essence Coal is fuel that can cook more items than regular Coal. It comes in three tiers here: Inferium Coal, Imperium Coal and Insanium Coal. Each one is a shapeless craft from vanilla coal plus the matching essence.[1][5]
Each coal tier also has a storage block: Inferium Coal Block, Imperium Coal Block and Insanium Coal Block. They all uncraft back into coal, so you can store fuel compactly and break it down whenever a furnace needs feeding.[5]
Unverified The exact burn times of each Essence Coal tier and their blocks aren't given in the sources.
Paxels
Paxels combine the functions of a Pickaxe, an Axe and a Shovel in a single tool, which saves you a lot of hotbar juggling. You make one by combining the three matching Mystical Agriculture tools, for example the Inferium Paxel or the Imperium Paxel.[1][5]

Essence apples and farmland
The mod adds apples made by upgrading a golden apple with essence: the Inferium Apple, the Imperium Apple and the Insanium Apple. It also adds Insanium Farmland, crafted from vanilla farmland and Insanium Essence.[5]
Unverified The sources don't describe the effects of the essence apples or what bonus Insanium Farmland gives to crops.
Tinkers' Construct integration
The mod includes Tinkers' Construct integration with two modifiers. Prosperous gives tools and weapons a chance to drop Prosperity Shards. Soul Siphoner lets weapons siphon Mob Souls the way a Soulium Dagger does.[1][6]
Unverified How to apply these modifiers in this pack isn't covered by the sources. They also don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluid handling or automation features for this mod, so check the base Mystical Agriculture machines for those.
How do you progress through Mystical Agradditions?

This mod builds on the Mystical Agriculture essence tiers, so your progress follows the same ladder: Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium and Supremium, then the brand-new Insanium tier on top. In this pack's Mystical Agriculture questline, every tier from Inferium to Supremium has two quests you can knock out with this mod's items. One wants that tier's apple. The other takes any of that tier's tools, and the paxel counts too.[3]

How does Mystical Agradditions work with other mods?

This mod is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture, so most of its recipes build on Mystical Agriculture essences, tools and blocks. The pack also connects it to a lot of other mods, especially in the endgame. Your Insanium items and cruxes end up feeding the pack's biggest crafts.[1][5]
The road to the ATM Star
The big one is Creative Essence. The pack adds its own crafting recipe for it, built from high-end Insanium and Mystical Agriculture items. Creative Essence is then one of the inputs for the ATM Star, which is made on Modern Industrialization's Star Altar.[5]

The star questline tracks all of this. You get quests for the Insanium Block, Insanium Gemstone Block, Insanium Coal Block and Nether Star Crux. The Creative Essence quest a quest in "?" comes after the Insanium Gemstone Block quest a quest in "?" and the Insanium Block quest a quest in "?".[4]
Cruxes, Garden Cloches and Powah
The pack adds Immersive Engineering Garden Cloche recipes for three of Mystical Agriculture's high-tier crops. You put the matching crux in with Dragon Egg, Nether Star or Nitro Crystal seeds, and the cloche outputs their essence. You can then craft that essence into a Dragon Egg Chunk or a Nether Star Shard.[5]

Productive Metalworks
This mod adds the molten essence fluids, from Molten Inferium up to Molten Supremium. Productive Metalworks can melt Mystical Agriculture essences and blocks into these fluids. It can then cast them back into essence, blocks or ingots, and Molten Inferium can even be cast into Inferium Seeds.[5]

After that, a quest in "?" asks for Creative Essence. It requires the Insanium Gemstone Block and Insanium Block quests, plus one more prerequisite quest.[4]
