What is Draconic Evolution?
2 parts
Draconic Evolution is the pack's end-game tech mod. Its project page describes it as adding high-tier tools and armor and high-tier RF energy storage, plus extras like teleportation, mob farming, player detection, and time and weather control. The author admits that description is old, so the quests below are a better guide to how it plays here.[1]
This pack ships Draconic Evolution 3.1.4.632, and the mod has been in the pack since 4.7 or earlier.[2]
Getting started
The quest chapter begins with mining Draconic Ore for Draconium Dust. It spawns in all the vanilla dimensions, but the End has the most. From there, Draconium Core is a vital ingredient in many recipes, especially Basic tier items.[3]
The chapter has Basic, Wyvern, Draconic and Chaotic tier quests, so expect your gear to climb through those tiers.[3]
What you will be building
- Modules: DE items don't work without them. Most modules are made from a Module Core or a previous module. Hold an item and press Shift and C to open the Module Menu.[3]
- Energy storage: the Energy Core is the heart of a multiblock energy bank. Its tier sets how big and powerful it is. Tier 1 needs only the core and 4 Energy Core Stabilizer blocks, and it stores 45,500,000 RF.[3]
- A boss fight: the Chaos Guardian's shield is held by 14 crystals. You have to break them before you can hurt him, and the quest says that is no easy task without a Draconic weapon.[3]
How do you get started with Draconic Evolution?
5 parts
Draconic Evolution adds high-tier tools, armor and energy storage, and everything starts with one material. Here is the order I'd go in, following the pack's own quest chapter.[1][3]
Find the ore and get Draconium Dust
The first quest tells you to mine Draconic Ore for Draconium Dust. It spawns in all the vanilla dimensions, but you'll find the most of it in the End. The quest hands in Draconium Dust as its item.[3]
Make a Draconium Core
The Draconium Core is a vital ingredient in many Draconic Evolution recipes, especially Basic tier items, so it's the first thing worth crafting. The quest for it comes straight after the intro quest. It's a normal crafting table recipe.[3][4]

Set up for fusion crafting
Some of the mod's recipes use fusion crafting instead of the crafting table. The Draconium Chest and the Wyvern Fusion Crafting Injector are two examples. The Fusion Crafting Core and your first injector, the Draconium Fusion Crafting Injector, are both ordinary crafting table recipes, so they're a good next step.[4]

Learn how modules work
Draconic Evolution items don't work without modules. Most modules are made from a Module Core or from a previous module. The Energy Module is one of the most important, because energy modules are needed to use DE items at all. The amount in them decides how much OP, the quests' name for energy, an item can hold and take in.[3]
Start your energy storage
The Energy Core is the heart of the Energy Core multiblock. The quest calls it one of the greatest energy banks in Minecraft. Place it a bit off the ground and open its GUI. There you'll find Build Guide, Tier Down, Tier Up and Assemble Core. If you have all the blocks for a tier, Assemble Core builds it for you.[3]

Tier 1 needs only the core and 4 Energy Core Stabilizer blocks, and it stores 45,500,000 RF. For the first 4 tiers you only need 4 stabilizers around the core. If you place them too close to the core or in the wrong spots, the game tells you.[3]

To move power in and out you need Energy Pylon blocks: two to start, one for input and one for output (you can use more). Place them close to the core and put glass over them, and they assemble automatically, targeting the closest Energy Core. Right-click the ball on top of each pylon to switch it between input and output. Then attach crystals to move power in and out.[3]

How does Draconic Evolution work?
6 parts
Draconic Evolution is an end-game tech mod. Its project page lists teleportation, mob farming, player detection, time and weather control, powerful tools and armor, and high-tier RF energy storage. The pack ships no guidebook for it and no config files, so this section only covers what the mod's own tooltips and the pack's recipes explain.[1]
The core progression chain
Most of the mod's machines are built around cores. You start with the Draconium Core, which feeds into the Wyvern Core and the Wyvern Energy Controller. Those in turn lead to the Draconic Energy Controller and finally the Chaotic Energy Controller. These are the pack's recipes for each step.[4]

Materials compress and decompress in the crafting grid. Draconium and Awakened Draconium go between nuggets, ingots and blocks. Chaos fragments go from tiny to small to large and then to a Chaos Shard, and you can break them back down the same way.[4]
Energy storage
The energy core screen has an energy target field. It is for display only, so it has no effect on how the core works. You can type plain numbers or scientific notation, so 9.223E18 becomes 9,223,000,000,000,000,000.[5]
The reactor
The reactor screen shows four live readouts. Conversion rate is how fast fuel is being used, and it drops as saturation rises. Core volume is the total matter inside (Draconium plus Chaos), and it only changes when you add or remove fuel. Field rate is the exact OP/t of input needed to hold the current field strength, and it rises exponentially as the field strengthens. Generation rate is the OP/t the reactor is producing right now.[5]
Reactor components can output a comparator signal, and you pick what it reports in the component's GUI. Each mode also has an inverted version.[5]
- Shield: follows the current shield strength, giving 0 to 15 as it fluctuates between 0 and 100%. A signal of 1 means more than 10% shield, and 15 means 90% or more.[5]
- Conversion: gives 0 to 15 as the fuel conversion level increases from 0 to 100%. A signal of 15 means 90% or more.[5]
- Saturation: follows the current saturation level, giving 0 to 15 as it fluctuates between 0 and 100%.[5]
- Temperature: follows the current temperature, giving 0 to 15 as it rises up to 10,000C.[5]
Automation blocks
The Entity Detector checks for nearby entities in each scanning pulse. Its tooltips say the redstone strength depends on the number of valid entities detected and on the RS Min and RS Max settings. The settings are laid out below.[4][5]
- Range: the tooltip describes this as the scanning range in blocks, and says a bigger range costs more energy for each scanning pulse.[5]
- Pulse rate: the tooltip describes this as the delay between scanning pulses, which is when the block checks for nearby entities.[5]
- RS Min: per the tooltip, the minimum number of detected entities required for a signal of 1. RS Max: the minimum number required for a signal of 15.[5]
- Per the tooltips, Pulse mode emits a 1 tick pulse on every scanning pulse, while Fixed mode emits a continuous signal that updates every scanning pulse.[5]

The flow gate lets redstone control how much passes through. You set one flow value for a signal of 0 and another for a signal of 15, and the actual flow varies between them with signal strength. A computer can override the default controls.[5]
The Draconium Chest can feed a furnace automatically. Auto-Smelt has three modes. All feeds in every smeltable item. Filtered only feeds items that are already being smelted. Filtered (Sticky) works like Filtered but keeps one item back so the filter persists.[5]
The grinder has an adjustable area of effect, which is the zone where it kills mobs. It can collect items in the kill area and insert them into an adjacent inventory. It can also collect dropped XP and store it internally. A player can then claim that XP as levels, or you can pipe it out if another mod adds liquid XP.[5]
The generator's mode tooltips describe five modes. Eco and Eco Plus offer increased fuel efficiency in exchange for decreased output power. Normal is described as standard output power and efficiency, similar to other basic generators. Performance is described as a worthwhile increase in output power for a small fuel efficiency penalty. Overdrive is the mode for when you want all the power you can get and have plenty of fuel to burn.[5]
Dislocator teleporting
The dislocator stores a list of locations. Sneak and right click binds your current coordinates, facing direction and dimension. In its GUI you can add your position at the top, at the bottom, or below the selected entry, and you can update the selected entry to your current coordinates. Ender pearls are the teleport fuel, and you can add 1, 16, or all the Ender Pearls from your inventory. Right click can be switched between teleporting to the selected location and Blink, and you can also set keybindings.[5]
Modular item configuration
Modular gear has its own configuration GUI, with a simple mode and an advanced mode. Properties can be dragged into groups, and a group can be turned into a preset with its own keybind. Global mode applies a property to all equipment of the same type, but the value shown may not match the item's actual value. A Global Binding lets a keybind work even when the GUI is closed.[5]
How do you progress through Draconic Evolution?
6 parts
Draconic Evolution in this pack is a four-step ladder: Draconium (the quests call it Basic), Wyvern, Draconic and Chaotic. The quest chapter walks you up it, and the in-pack recipes show what each rung costs. Here's the route.[3]
Step 1: Draconium and the Basic core
The chapter opens with "Draconic Evolution" quest. You mine Draconic Ore to get Draconium Dust. It spawns in all vanilla dimensions, but the most is in the End. Draconium ingots can also be crushed into dust in several machines, and the pack adds ore hammer and crusher recipes for that.[3][4]
Next up is "Basic (Draconium) Core" quest. The Draconium Core is a vital ingredient in many recipes, especially Basic tier items.[3]

Step 2: Fusion Crafting and the injector tiers
Most of the fun items are made through "Fusion Crafting" quest. You place a Fusion Crafting Core about a block above the ground. Recipes can be auto-placed into it from JEI, and the finished item appears there too. Injectors go a few blocks away on two sides of the core, facing it, and they need energy.[3]

The injectors set the fusion tier. "Basic Tier" quest explains that the tiers ascend in this order: Draconium, Wyvern, Draconic, Chaotic. Injectors go on the left and right of the core, and you can place up to 5 on each side.[3]
The first injector is a normal crafting-table recipe. Each higher injector is a fusion upgrade of the one before it.[4]

Step 3: Energy (OP)
Energy here is called OP. "What is Energy or as we call it, OP?" quest introduces the Crystal Binder. The main way to move OP is with I/O relay crystals, and to get OP into items you use the Energy Transfuser.[3]
For bulk storage, the Energy Core is the heart of the Energy Core multiblock. Its GUI has a Build Guide, Tier Down, Tier Up and Assemble Core. If you have all the blocks, Assemble Core builds it for you. Energy Pylon blocks move OP in and out. You need at least one for input and one for output, topped with glass so they assemble.[3]

- Tier 1 stores 45,500,000 RF and needs just the core and 4 Energy Core Stabilizer blocks.[3]
- Tier 2 stores 273,000,000 RF. It needs the same 4 stabilizers plus 6 Draconium blocks, one on each side of the core.[3]
- The first 4 core tiers only need 4 stabilizers around the core. You can also open the core's GUI through a stabilizer.[3]
Step 4: Modules
Draconic Evolution items don't work without modules. "Modules!" quest says most modules come from a Module Core or a previous module. Hold an item and press Shift and C to open the Module Menu. Energy modules are the most important, because they set how much OP an item can hold.[3]
Module quests mostly follow the same ladder. For example, the Wyvern Speed Module comes after the Basic Speed Module, and the Draconic Flight Module comes after the Wyvern Flight Module.[3]

Chaos and the Reactor
The top end involves the Chaos Guardian fight. Its first stage is "Locate and Destroy 14 Guardian Crystals" quest. You can't hurt him until the crystals holding his shield are destroyed, and that's tough without a Draconic weapon.[3]
The Chaos Shard is compressed from Large Chaos Fragments. The Draconic Reactor Core is then made by fusion crafting.[4]

How does Draconic Evolution work with other mods?
3 parts
Draconic Evolution links up with Mystical Agriculture (plus its Agradditions add-on), Productive Bees and Neovitae, according to the recipe dump. Every one of these recipes was either changed or added by the pack, so don't assume they match what the mods do on their own.[4]
Mystical Agriculture and Agradditions
You can grow Draconic Evolution materials from essences. Draconium essence crafts into a Draconium Ingot, and awakened draconium essence crafts into an Awakened Draconium Nugget. The pack changed both of these recipes.[4]

Neovitae
The pack adds smelting and blasting recipes that turn Draconium Dust into a Draconium Ingot. This is a different item from Draconic Evolution's own Draconium Dust, so check which one you're holding.[3][4]
Productive Bees
Productive Bees has Draconic Evolution bee recipes for the draconium, awakened and chaos bees. Each one is a fusion crafting recipe that uses Draconic Evolution items and gives you a configurable bee spawn egg. These recipes were changed by the pack.[4]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Draconic Evolution?
4 parts
Everything for Draconic Evolution lives in one chapter, and it opens with "Draconic Evolution" quest. That quest asks for Draconium Dust. Its text says the ore spawns in all vanilla dimensions, with the most in the End. From there the chapter splits into a few branches: fusion crafting, energy, the Energy Core, modules, and the Chaos Guardian.[3]
Fusion crafting and the Basic tier
- "Basic (Draconium) Core" quest comes right after the intro quest and asks for a Draconium Core. The quest calls it a vital ingredient, especially for Basic tier items.[3]
- "Fusion Crafting" quest asks for the Fusion Crafting Core. It explains that recipes can be auto-placed from JEI, and that you need injectors placed a few blocks away on two sides of the core.[3]
- "Basic Tier" quest asks for the Draconium Fusion Crafting Injector. It lists the fusion tiers in order: Draconium (called Basic), Wyvern, Draconic and Chaotic.[3]
- Two quests unlock after the Basic tier: "Draconium Chest" quest (Draconium Chest) and "Basic Energy Relay Crystal" quest (Basic Energy Relay Crystal).[3]
Moving and storing energy
The energy branch also starts after the Basic core. "What is Energy or as we call it, OP?" quest asks for the Crystal Binder. It leads to "Moving OP" quest, which accepts a Basic, Wyvern or Draconic Basic Energy I/O Crystal-style I/O crystal, and to "Adding OP to items" quest, which asks for the Energy Transfuser. That last quest says the item you charge needs an Energy Module installed.[3]
The Energy Core line starts at "Energy Core Mulitblock" quest (Energy Core). Next come "Energy Core Stabilizers" quest (Energy Core Stabilizer) and "Power comes and goes through these" quest (Energy Pylon). The tier quests unlock after all three. The storage figures and block counts below are the ones the quests themselves state.[3]
- "Tier 1" quest: stores 45,500,000 RF. It needs the core and 4 stabilizers.[3]
- "Tier 2" quest: stores 273,000,000 RF. It adds 6 Draconium blocks, one on each side of the core.[3]
- "Tier 3" quest: stores 1,640,000,000 RF. It needs 26 Draconium blocks fully encasing the core.[3]
- "Tier 4" quest: stores 9,880,000,000 RF. It needs 26 redstone blocks encasing the core, then 56 Draconium blocks above them.[3]
Modules
"Modules!" quest asks for the Module Core. It explains that DE items don't work without modules, and that Shift and C opens the Module Menu while you hold an item. Almost every module quest unlocks after it.[3]
The module quests mostly follow a Basic, Wyvern, Draconic, Chaotic ladder, and each rung unlocks after the previous one. The Basic rung includes "Basic Energy Module" quest, "Basic Damage Module" quest, "Basic Speed Module" quest, "Basic Jump Module" quest, "Basic Area-Of-Effect Module" quest and "Basic Auto Feed Module" quest. For example, "Wyvern Energy Module" quest follows the Basic energy module, and "Draconic Energy Module" quest follows that.[3]
Some modules start at Wyvern level and skip the Basic rung. Examples are "Wyvern Flight Module" quest, which leads to "Draconic Flight Module" quest and "Chaotic Flight Module" quest, and "Wireless Energy Link" quest, which leads to "Quantum Energy Tunnel" quest and then "Chaos-Entangled Quantum Energy Tunnel" quest. The quest text notes that the basic energy link doesn't work between dimensions, while the better ones can.[3]
The undying line has extra requirements. "Wyvern Undying Module" quest needs both the module menu quest and "Wyvern Shield Capacity Module" quest. "Draconic Undying Module" quest and "Chaotic Undying Module" quest each need a shield capacity quest from the same tier as well.[3]
The Chaos Guardian
"Locate and Destroy 14 Guardian Crystals" quest asks for Draconium Infused Obsidian and unlocks after a quest called "Where is he?". It describes the first stage of the fight: you break the crystals holding the Guardian's shield before you can damage him. Later, "Chaos Shard{s}" quest unlocks after a quest called "Kill the Chaos Guardian" and asks for a Chaos Shard. The text says mining below where the lightning strikes gives you 5 Chaos Shards.[3]
Unverified The chapter also has quests for the Wyvern, Draconic and Chaotic tools, bows and chestplates, plus the reactor quests (Building the Reactor, Reactor Stabilizers, Reactor Energy Injector and Fuel for our Reactor). Their task details and prerequisites were cut off in the available data, so what they ask for and in what order is unverified. The same goes for the Draconic Evolution quest in the Apothic Spawners chapter.
What changed in Draconic Evolution between versions?
The pack changelogs only record which Draconic Evolution version each All the Mods 10 release shipped. They don't say what changed inside the mod. Here is the version trail, oldest first.[6][7][8][9][10]
