What is Iron Jetpacks?
1 part
Iron Jetpacks adds jetpacks that run on Forge Energy (FE). Because they use FE, they work with the many other mods that store and move that kind of power.[1]
This pack ships Iron Jetpacks 8.0.3. It has been in the pack since 0.37 or earlier.[2]
What it gives you
- A set of default jetpacks made from various vanilla and modded materials.[1]
- Throttle controls, so you can change your aerial movement speed on the fly.[1]
- A built-in HUD that shows your current energy, engine, hover and throttle stats.[1]
- Curios support, so you can equip a jetpack as a Curio.[1]
- Fully configurable jetpack stats and attributes, and you can add your own jetpacks. Keep in mind that this is what the mod allows in general. The sources here do not show which values this pack changes.[1]
How do you get started with Iron Jetpacks?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.60 guide
Iron Jetpacks adds jetpacks that run on Forge Energy (FE), so you will need an FE source before you can fly. The mod comes with a set of default jetpacks made from vanilla and modded materials, and every jetpack stat is configurable. This pack's own jetpack stats are not covered by the sources I have, so check the tooltips in game.[1]
The first things to craft are the mod's basic components: the Leather Strap and the four coils. Here are their in-pack recipes, starting with the strap.[3]

The coils
There are four coils in the pack: Basic Coil, Advanced Coil, Elite Coil and Ultimate Coil. Each has its own crafting recipe, shown below. You can make whichever coil you have the materials for.[3]

Once you have a jetpack
Jetpacks have throttle controls so you can adjust your aerial speed on the fly. A built-in HUD shows your energy, engine, hover and throttle stats. You can also equip a jetpack as a Curio.[1]
Jetpack tooltips list these stats: Horizontal Speed, Vertical Acceleration, Hover Ascend Speed, Hover Descend Speed, Sprint Fuel Modifier and Sprint Vertical Multiplier. Compare them to see which jetpack suits you.[4]
Unverified The sources I have do not show how the strap and coils are used in jetpack recipes, which jetpacks exist in this pack, or how to craft energy storage or charge a jetpack. No quests in this pack involve the mod, and I could not confirm an exact progression order beyond the recipes above.
How does Iron Jetpacks work?
3 parts
Iron Jetpacks runs on Forge Energy (FE). That means jetpacks can be charged by any mod that handles FE, so you don't need a special power system for them.[1]
Flying and the HUD
You control your aerial movement speed on the fly with throttle controls. A built-in HUD shows your current energy, engine, hover and throttle stats, so you can keep an eye on your charge while you fly.[1]
You can also equip a jetpack as a Curio, if you'd rather keep your chest slot free.[1]
Jetpack stats
A jetpack's tooltip lists the stats that define how it flies. These are the ones the mod shows:[4]
- Horizontal Speed[4]
- Vertical Acceleration[4]
- Hover Ascend Speed and Hover Descend Speed[4]
- Sprint Fuel Modifier and Sprint Vertical Multiplier, which cover how sprinting changes fuel use and vertical movement[4]
The mod describes all jetpack stats and attributes as fully configurable, and says you can add your own jetpacks. It also ships a default set made from vanilla and modded materials.[1]
Unverified The pack's config files for this mod weren't available, so the exact stat values, energy capacities and which jetpacks are included in this pack are unconfirmed. Check the tooltip on the jetpack in-game for the real numbers.
Crafting components
The pack has crafting recipes for four coil tiers: Basic Coil, Advanced Coil, Elite Coil and Ultimate Coil. It also has a recipe for the Leather Strap. Here's how each one is crafted.[5]

Unverified The sources don't show how the coils and strap are used in jetpack crafting, how jetpacks are charged in practice, or how fast they drain. Those details are unconfirmed for this pack.
How do you progress through Iron Jetpacks?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.60 guide
The recipe data for this pack shows Iron Jetpacks parts in four coil tiers, plus a strap. Everything below comes from the in-pack recipes, so you can follow it without guessing.[3]
Unverified No pack quests involving Iron Jetpacks were found, and the mod isn't on the ATM Star quest path. Nothing here is gated by a quest, so you can start whenever you like. The jetpack recipes and their stats (fuel use, speed, energy capacity) were not in the data I had, so I can't confirm them.
The coil ladder
The coils come in four tiers: Basic Coil, Advanced Coil, Elite Coil and Ultimate Coil. Each one is a shaped crafting recipe. All four use redstone dust and a wooden rod, and the third ingredient is what changes from tier to tier.[3]

The recipes accept any item in the matching tag, so a ladder like this is easy to build from whichever mod's materials you already have.[3]
Leather Strap
The Leather Strap is a separate shaped recipe, so it doesn't depend on any coil tier.[3]

How does Iron Jetpacks work with other mods?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.60 guide
I'd love to show you a list of recipes and quests where Iron Jetpacks teams up with other mods, but I can't confirm any for this pack. No in-pack recipes combine Iron Jetpacks items with items from another mod, and no quests involve the mod. So this section stays short and sticks to what the mod itself says about compatibility.[1]
Energy: Forge Energy
The mod's project page says jetpacks are powered by Forge Energy (FE), chosen for broad mod compatibility. Any other mod that handles FE is therefore a natural fit for charging your jetpacks. The sources don't say which charging blocks or machines the pack provides, so check in-game before you plan a setup around one.[1]
Curios support
The project page also lists Curios support, which lets you equip a jetpack as a Curio instead of in the chest slot. Whether the Curios slot is available in this pack is not confirmed by the sources I have.[1]
Modded materials
The project page says the default jetpacks are made from a mix of vanilla and modded materials. It also says every jetpack's stats and attributes are configurable, and you can add your own. It doesn't name those materials, and I can't tell you which ones the pack uses or whether the pack changed any of them.[1]
Unverified Specific cross-mod recipes, quests that use Iron Jetpacks items together with another mod's items, and the pack's own jetpack material list could not be confirmed from the available sources.
What changed in Iron Jetpacks between versions?
1 part
All the Mods 10 0.50 includes Iron Jetpacks 8.0.3. The mod has been in the pack since 0.37 or earlier, so if you've been playing a while, these are the changes from the mod's own changelogs that you may have already seen.[2]
Mod changelog highlights
- 8.0.3 (MC 1.21.1): Fixed jetpacks breaking when taking physical damage. This is the version your pack ships.[2][6]
- 8.0.2 (MC 1.21.1): Fixed jetpack upgrade recipes not actually upgrading the jetpack tier.[7]
- 8.0.0 (MC 1.21.1): Updated to 1.21.1 and changed the Jetpack to a "back" Curio.[8]
Unverified No pack changelog entries for Iron Jetpacks were available, so any changes the pack itself made to this mod between pack releases are unverified.
