What is IntegratedDynamics?
1 part
Integrated Dynamics (ID) is a logistics mod. The pack's quests describe it as a tool for storage, item, power and fluid transfer, and more. This pack ships version 1.27.9. The quest chapter also calls it the least laggy pipe solution and recommends it for moving, managing and storing items.[1][2][3]
It's a good fit if you want tidy automation networks and are happy to start from a basic setup and work up to something more advanced. The quest "Integrated Dynamics" quest starts you off by growing a Menril Sapling. Menril trees can be found in Meneglin biomes. That quest also gives you a guidebook as a reward, so read it if you want more depth.[2]
How the progression flows
- Put Menril Logs in a Squeezer and jump on it to get Menril Resin. A Drying Basin next to it picks the resin up, and after 7.5 seconds it becomes a Block of Crystallized Menril.[2]
- Craft those blocks into Crystallized Menril Chunk. The quest calls these the main crafting ingredient of ID.[2]
- Build networks with Logic Cable. Unlike other cables, which act like hoppers, Logic Cables skip the middle step and so cut a lot of lag. They only connect Importers and Interfaces.[2]
- Use Variable Card cards to configure interactions such as importing items. You put one in an Importer slot, then set the limit, item slot and channel through the + button.[2]
- Add power with the Energy Battery and the Generator. The Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin use energy to do the same jobs automatically.[2]
- Go advanced with the Logic Programmer, which sets variable values such as an item or fluid filter. You can also craft the Portable Logic Programmer, which works anywhere.[2]
How do you get started with IntegratedDynamics?
5 parts
Integrated Dynamics is a logistics mod for storage and for moving items, power and fluids. In this pack, the quest chapter starts you off with Menril and Crystallized Menril, and the chunks are called the main crafting ingredient of the mod. Here is the order I'd go in. The quest "Integrated Dynamics" quest follows the same path and gives you a guidebook as a reward if you want to go deeper.[2]
Step one: get a Menril Sapling
Menril trees can be found in Meneglin biomes, and the first quest asks you to get a Menril Sapling. If you'd rather not go looking, the pack adds Ex Deorum sieve recipes that give you the sapling, one for each mesh tier from iron up to netherite. Here is the iron mesh one.[2][4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/iron_mesh/moss_block/menril_sapling
Step two: make Menril Resin
Place Menril Logs in a Squeezer and jump on it to turn them into Menril Resin. Giving the Squeezer a Redstone signal empties it.[2]
Step three: dry it into Crystallized Menril
The resin goes out to 2 sides of the Squeezer. Put a Drying Basin next to it and the basin picks the resin up. After 7.5 seconds the resin turns into a Block of Crystallized Menril.[2]

Then craft the block into Crystallized Menril Chunk. The quest book calls these chunks the main crafting ingredient of the mod, and the recipes for the wrench, cables and variable cards below all use them.[2][4]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/crystalized_menril_chunk
Other routes to the chunk are changed by the pack: a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe and a Productive Metalworks casting recipe both turn Menril Resin into a chunk.[4]
Step four: tools and networking
Once you have chunks, make the Wrench. It rotates or destroys certain blocks, and you shift right-click in the air to change modes.[2]

Next come Logic Cables. They don't behave like hopper-style pipes. They skip the middle step, which also skips a lot of lag, and they are only for connecting Importers and Interfaces.[2][3]

Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/cable
Then craft a Variable Card. You put it in a slot of an Importer, then edit everything through the + button. For simple item moving, you may only need to change the Limit.[2][3]

Step five: power
The Energy Battery stores FE, and you need Energy Interfaces to transfer it. Batteries can be combined in a crafting grid to increase the overall storage.[2][5]

The Generator produces FE from burnable fuels like Coal.[2]
With power running, you can upgrade to the Mechanical Squeezer and the Mechanical Drying Basin, which use energy to squeeze and dry.[2]

How does IntegratedDynamics work?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
The sources for this pack describe IntegratedDynamics mainly through its advancement texts and read-out descriptions, so this section follows those. They show a network of cables, readers that read values from the world, variable cards that hold them, and displays and writers that show or act on them.[7]
Logic networks
One advancement asks you to build a logic network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables, so that is a good first target for Logic Cable.[7]
Crafting Shaped
| any redstone dust | ||
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/cable
One craft gives you 3 Logic Cables.
Values travel through the network as variables. You craft a Variable Card and define it, for example as a constant Integer. A Display Panel can show a variable, a Materializer can materialize one, and a Proxy can hold a proxy variable. Variable Input and Output Transformers are also crafted items.[7]
The Logic Programmer is where you build more complex logic. Opening its GUI is an advancement, and one advancement has you create a recipe visually in it. Operators can also be invoked dynamically, and lists can be static, filtered or infinite.[7]
Reading the world
Readers are how you get data into the network. The advancements mention a Block Reader, Inventory Reader, Machine Reader, Redstone Reader and Entity Reader. A Block Reader can read the NBT tag of a machine such as a Lectern. A Machine Reader can read the list of recipes from a machine such as the Crafting Table.[7]
Each reader exposes aspects, which are values you can turn into variables. The language file describes many of them. These are the groups most useful for automation:[7]
- Inventory: the descriptions cover whether the target has an inventory, and whether it is empty, non-empty or full. A fill ratio is described as the number of non-empty slots divided by the total number of slots.[7]
- Fluid: the descriptions cover whether the target has a fluid tank, and whether it is empty, non-empty or full. The fluid fill ratio is described as the amount of fluid in the active tank divided by its capacity.[7]
- FE: whether the target handles FE, can provide or receive it, and can have FE extracted or inserted. There are also empty, non-empty and full checks, and a fill ratio of the FE in the target divided by its capacity.[7]
- Machine: whether the target is a worker machine, is currently working, has work to process, or would be able to start working in its current state.[7]
- Redstone: the descriptions list high, low and non-low checks, plus a clock aspect described as pulses with a configurable length and interval.[7]
- Temperature: the descriptions list the current, default, minimum and maximum temperature of the target, each given in Kelvin.[7]
- World: day, night, weather, and whether the target space has a player, mob, animal, entity or item. Ticks per second can be read for one world or averaged over all worlds.[7]
Acting on what you read
A Redstone Writer is the output side. One advancement asks you to let it write the maximal integer redstone level that a Redstone Reader read. Another asks you to open a door automatically by matching an entity name, using an Entity Reader and a Redstone Writer.[7]
The language file also describes settings for emitted redstone. The pulse value is described as the value that should be emitted and the pulse length as a duration in ticks. A boolean option is described as deciding whether a Redstone Torch is simulated instead of regular Redstone Dust.[7]
If your logic needs to wait, the Delayer is the crafted item for it.[8]

Menril and drying
One advancement asks you to chop down a Menril tree, which can most easily be found in Meneglin biomes. Another asks you to process Menril Log into Menril Resin and dry it to obtain Crystallized Menril. The advancement for drying asks you to craft a Drying Basin.[7]

This pack adds two ways to get Menril items without the usual route: a sieve recipe for a Menril Sapling and Create cutting recipes for Menril Planks.[8]
Cutting (create)
Recipe id: create:cutting/runtime_generated/compat/integrateddynamics/menril_log_stripped_to_menril_planks
Added by the pack, cuts a Stripped Menril Log into planks.
A stonecutting recipe turns a Block of Crystallized Menril into a Crystallized Menril Brick.[8]
Power
The mod has an Energy Battery and a Generator, which the sources name Generator. The Generator is crafted from the battery, so you make the battery first. The FE aspects described earlier can read how full a battery or other FE target is. The sources here do not show capacity or generation figures.[7][8]

Crystallized Chorus in this pack
The pack changes how Crystallized Chorus is handled through Productive Metalworks. Melting a Block of Crystallized Chorus gives 1,000 of Liquid Chorus. Casting 1,000 Liquid Chorus gives the block back. Both recipes are marked as changed by the pack.[8]
Item Melting (productivemetalworks)

Block Casting (productivemetalworks)
Recipe id: productivemetalworks:casting/id/crystalized_chorus_block
A Crystallized Chorus Chunk can also be cast from 1,000 Liquid Chorus, again with a pack-changed recipe. The normal crafting recipes still convert between the block and chunks, and one block makes 9 chunks.[8]

How do you progress through IntegratedDynamics?
4 parts
Integrated Dynamics progression in this pack is driven by the Integrated Dynamics quest chapter. It starts with growing Menril, moves through Crystallized Menril Chunks, and then splits into cables, power and variables. The opening quest "Integrated Dynamics" quest says Menril trees are found in Meneglin biomes and that the quests only cover the basics.[2]
Menril, resin and the chunk
The first quest asks for a Menril Sapling. If you can't find a Menril tree, the pack adds Ex Deorum sieve recipes that give a Menril Sapling from moss blocks. They work with iron, golden, diamond and netherite meshes.[2][4]
Next you build a Squeezer (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics"). Put Menril Logs in it and jump on it to turn them into Menril Resin. You can empty the Squeezer with a Redstone signal.[2]
The resin goes out to 2 sides of the Squeezer. Put a Drying Basin next to it and the basin picks the resin up. After 7.5 seconds you get a Block of Crystallized Menril (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics"). The Crystallized Menril Chunk is the main crafting ingredient of the mod ("Crystallized Menril Chunks" quest), and its recipe is below.[2]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/crystalized_menril_chunk
The pack also gives you other routes to a chunk. A Productive Bees centrifuge recipe turns Menril Resin into a chunk plus wax, and a Productive Metalworks casting recipe turns resin and a Nugget Cast into a chunk. The pack changed both recipes.[4]
The side quest for Menril Berries says they give Night Vision for a short time when eaten. A Xycraft extractor recipe changed by the pack produces them from water.[2][4]
Wrench, cables and storage
Once you have chunks, the chapter branches into three quests: the Wrench, the Logic Cable and the Energy Battery. The Wrench rotates or destroys certain blocks, and you shift right-click in the air to change modes. Logic Cables skip the hopper-style item movement of other cables, so they cut lag. They only connect Importers and Interfaces.[2]
Crafting Shaped
| any redstone dust | ||
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/cable
The Basic Storage chapter puts the cables to work. You place Item Interfaces on your chests, link them with Logic Cables and add a Storage Terminal ("Connecting Your Storage" quest). For wireless access, attach an Part Connector Omni Directional to your cables and right-click with the Portable Storage Terminal ("Portable Storage Access" quest).[9]
Power and the mechanical machines
The Energy Battery stores FE, and you need Energy Interfaces to move it. Batteries can be combined in a crafting grid to raise the total storage ("Integrated Dynamics: Energy Battery" quest).[2][5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/energy_battery
The Generator makes FE from burnable fuels like coal. The Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin are powered versions of the machines you already built, and they use energy. The Mechanical Squeezer quest comes after both the battery and Squeezer quests, and the Mechanical Drying Basin quest comes after the battery and Drying Basin quests.[2]

Variables and advanced logic
After Logic Cables, the "Variable Cards" quest quest introduces the Variable Card. You put it in an Importer slot, and the + button lets you edit things like the amount, the slot and the channel. For simple item moving you only change the Limit. Two follow-up quests then give you the Input Variable Transformer and the Output Variable Transformer.[2][3]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/variable
The Logic Programmer (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics") sets a variable's value. For example, you can set it to an item and put the card in an importer or exporter so it only moves that item. The Portable Logic Programmer does the same thing anywhere, and the Variable Store holds your variables like a chest or serves as part of an advanced network. The quest text points you to the book On the Dynamics of Integration for advanced networks.[2][4]
Beyond the quests, the pack's recipes include more advanced parts, such as the Part Enhancement: Offset, the Delayer and the Logic Director. Their exact recipes are below.[4]

How does IntegratedDynamics work with other mods?
3 parts
Integrated Dynamics is the backbone of the pack's logistics, and a lot of other mods plug into it. The biggest links are its own add-ons (Integrated Terminals, Integrated Tunnels and Integrated Crafting), but the pack also ties Menril and Liquid Chorus into several unrelated mods.[2][4]
The Integrated add-ons
Integrated Terminals gives you the storage screen for your network. The Part Terminal Storage is crafted from Integrated Dynamics parts, including the Input Variable Transformer and Output Variable Transformer. The Portable Storage Terminal is then made from that part plus a Crystallized Menril Chunk.[4]

Recipe id: integratedterminals:crafting/part_terminal_storage
The quest "Connecting Your Storage" quest walks you through the basic setup. You place item interfaces on your chests, join them with Logic Cable, and attach a storage terminal. For wireless access, "Portable Storage Access" quest has you put an Part Connector Omni Directional on your cables and right-click with the portable terminal.[9]
Integrated Terminals also adds Menril Glass and Chorus Glass. Both have recipes for the Drying Basin and the Mechanical Drying Basin, using Menril Resin and Liquid Chorus respectively.[4]
Unverified The recipe dump does not clearly show the glass recipes' outputs or amounts, so check the in-game recipe viewer before you plan around them. This site does hold All the Mods 10: To the Sky's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Integrated Tunnels builds its parts directly from Integrated Dynamics items. The item, fluid and energy interfaces are crafted from a Crystallized Menril Chunk together with a chest, a bucket or an Energy Battery. Importers and exporters are then made from an interface plus the matching variable transformer. The world-facing versions add a Logic Director.[4]

Integrated Crafting follows the same pattern. The Part Crafting Writer and Part Interface Crafting both need Integrated Dynamics transformers. The interface also needs a Block of Crystallized Menril.[4]
Other mods in the pack
The pack adds several recipes that connect Integrated Dynamics to mods you may already use. These are pack additions, not mod defaults:[4]
- Powah's energizing recipe turns an Energy Battery and an ATM Star into the Creative Energy Battery.[4]
- Ex Deorum's sieve gives you a Menril Sapling from a moss block. There is a recipe for each mesh: Iron Mesh, Golden Mesh, Diamond Mesh and Netherite Mesh. Menril trees also generate in Meneglin biomes.[2][4]
- Menril logs can be sawn into Menril Planks in a Mekanism sawing recipe, which also produces Sawdust. A Productive Trees sawmill recipe produces the planks too, using Sawdust.[4]

Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/iron_mesh/moss_block/menril_sapling
The pack also changes some Productive Bees and Productive Metalworks recipes involving Menril and Chorus. A Productive Bees centrifuge turns Menril Resin into a Crystallized Menril Chunk plus Wax. It turns Liquid Chorus into an Ender Pearl plus wax. Productive Metalworks casting uses a Nugget Cast to turn Menril Resin into a Crystallized Menril Chunk, and Liquid Chorus into a Crystallized Chorus Chunk.[4]
Item Casting (productivemetalworks)

Power
The quests describe the Energy Battery as storing FE, and you need Energy Interfaces to transfer it. Batteries can be combined in a crafting grid to increase total storage. The Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin use energy, and the Generator makes FE from burnable fuels like Coal.[2][5]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use IntegratedDynamics?
2 parts
Integrated Dynamics shows up in five quest chapters. The main one is its own chapter, and the mod also appears in Basic Logistics, Basic Storage, Basic Power and Chapter 1: Starting out. Here is what each one asks for.[2][3][5][6][9]
The Integrated Dynamics chapter
This chapter is the mod's main tutorial. It starts with "Integrated Dynamics" quest, where you hand in a Menril Sapling. The quest also gives you a guidebook as a reward, which is worth reading if you want to go deeper.[2]
The quests after that unlock in this order:[2]
- a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Squeezer. You put Menril Logs in it and jump on it to get Menril Resin.[2]
- a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" also unlocks right after the first quest. It asks for Menril Berries, which give you Night Vision for a short time when eaten.[2]
- a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Drying Basin placed next to the Squeezer. It picks up the resin and turns it into a Block of Crystallized Menril after 7.5 seconds.[2]
- "Crystallized Menril Chunks" quest asks for a Crystallized Menril Chunk. These chunks are the main crafting ingredient of the mod.[2]
- Three quests open up once you have the chunks. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Wrench. "Logic Cables" quest asks for Logic Cable. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for an Energy Battery.[2]
- Machine quests come next. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Generator, which burns fuel like Coal to make FE. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Mechanical Squeezer. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Mechanical Drying Basin. The battery quest unlocks all three, and the two mechanical machines also need the matching manual machine quest done first.[2]
- "Variable Cards" quest follows the Logic Cables quest and asks for a Variable Card. Two quests open after it: a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for an Input Variable Transformer and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" for an Output Variable Transformer.[2]
- a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Logic Programmer. Its prerequisite is a quest with the id 65FA86357BC60573, which is not part of the sources I have. After it, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Portable Logic Programmer and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" asks for a Variable Store.[2]
Other chapters that use the mod
- Basic Logistics starts with "Integrated Dynamics" quest, which asks for a Wrench. It then unlocks a quest in "Basic Logistics" for a Variable Card and a quest in "Basic Logistics" for Logic Cable.[3]
- In Basic Storage, "Connecting Your Storage" quest comes after the Integrated Terminals quest. It asks for Logic Cables, Item Interfaces and a Storage Terminal, so you can connect your chests and reach them all from one terminal.[9]
- Also in Basic Storage, "Portable Storage Access" quest follows it. It asks for a Portable Storage Terminal and the Part Connector Omni Directional, which you attach to your Logic Cables for wireless access to your storage.[9]
- In Basic Power, "Integrated Dynamics: Energy Battery" quest comes after the Storing Power quest. It asks for an Energy Battery, and the quest text says batteries can be combined in a crafting grid to increase the overall storage.[5]
- In Chapter 1: Starting out, "Easy Ore Duping" quest comes after the Ore Chunks quest. It asks for a Squeezer and a copper ore hammer. You jump on the Squeezer with a Raw Ore Block in it to get Raw Ore, and the hammer then cracks that into 2 Dust.[6]
