IntegratedCrafting is a mod in All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.1.0, where it is version 1.7.2. Craft stuff in Integrated Dynamics networks. (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is IntegratedCrafting?

1 part

IntegratedCrafting is an add-on for Integrated Dynamics that adds autocrafting to your logic networks. This pack, All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4, ships version 1.6.0 of it.[1][2]

The mod's piece in the pack's quest book is the Part Interface Crafting. You place it on a crafting table and right-click it to get slots for Variable Cards. Then you use the Logic Programmer, search for Recipe in the top left, create a recipe for autocrafting and save it to a Variable Card.[2]

If a recipe needs ingredients that must be crafted too, the quest says to create a recipe for each of those as well. Then you put everything into the Crafting Interface.[2]

Where it sits in the quest book

The mod has one quest, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" (titled "AUTO CRAFT"). It is in the "Integrated Dynamics" chapter, which has 27 quests in total. The sources give no separate group for it.[2]

It comes straight after a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", the Logic Programmer quest titled "Getting Advanced". That quest in turn follows the quests about the Importer and Exporter menus. So you are expected to know the basics of Variable Cards and the Logic Programmer before you start autocrafting.[2]

After the AUTO CRAFT quest comes a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", titled "Shows Recipes". It asks for the Integrated Terminals crafting job terminal part, which shows which crafting recipes are happening at any time.[2]

The Logic Programmer quest also leads to the Portable Logic Programmer and Variable Store quests, so the crafting quest is one of three branches off it.[2]

How do you get started with IntegratedCrafting?

4 parts

IntegratedCrafting adds autocrafting to Integrated Dynamics networks. You tell the network where and how things can be crafted, and then you can ask it to start crafting jobs. Here's the order I'd go in.[3]

Step one: make a Crafting Interface

The Part Interface Crafting is the heart of the mod. You point it at a machine, such as a crafting table or a furnace, and it is bound to that machine to handle recipes. The pack's Integrated Dynamics chapter has a quest for it, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics".[2][3]

Step two: teach it a recipe

  1. Place the Crafting Interface on a crafting table and right-click it. This gives you slots for Variable Cards.[2]
  2. Using the Logic Programmer, search for Recipe in the top left, and create a recipe for autocrafting. Then save it to a Variable Card.[2]
  3. If a recipe needs items that must be crafted themselves, make a recipe for each of those too. Then put everything in the Crafting Interface.[2]

The cards tell the interface which recipes the bound machine can craft. By default the interface uses blocking mode, so the machine only takes one recipe at a time and starts the next one when the previous one is done. If a machine can process several inputs in parallel, you can turn blocking mode off in the interface's settings.[3]

Step three: make a Crafting Writer

The Part Crafting Writer is how you ask the network to craft something. The mod has an advancement for using one to start a crafting job for Oak Planks, which makes a good first test once your interface has that recipe.[3][4]

Later on: the Attuned Crafting Interface

Once you're further along, you can upgrade to the Part Interface Crafting Attuned. You don't add recipes by hand, because it reads and exposes all the recipes the target machine has. Some modded machines aren't supported, and you'll see a red border when you place it on one.[3][4]

Tip: A crafting table alone can give the Attuned interface hundreds of recipes. In its GUI, recipes with a green border are exposed to the network, and clicking one turns it red and removes it. You can also search by recipe name, mod name or recipe id, then use the Enable, Disable and Invert buttons on everything that matches.[3]

How does IntegratedCrafting work?

6 parts

IntegratedCrafting adds autocrafting to Integrated Dynamics networks. The idea is simple: you tell the network where and how things can be crafted, then ask it to make something and let it do the work. Everything here comes down to three parts: the Crafting Interface, the Attuned Crafting Interface and the Crafting Writer.[3]

The Crafting Interface

The Part Interface Crafting tells the network where and how things can be crafted. You point it at a machine, such as a Crafting Table or a Furnace, and it becomes bound to that machine to handle its recipes.[3][4]

Open its GUI and you can insert Variable Cards that hold recipes. Each card tells the interface that the bound machine can craft that recipe. The GUI also shows whether a recipe fits: it says if the recipe is valid for the target, not acceptable by the target, or if the variable doesn't contain a recipe at all.[3]

How a crafting job runs

A job can be started with the Part Crafting Writer, and it uses one or more Crafting Interfaces that have a matching recipe. All the ingredients the recipe needs are pulled from the network and held inside the job in the interface. That way nothing else can use them before the job is done. The interface then inserts the inputs into the bound machine, based on the storage network contents provided by Integrated Tunnels interfaces.[3][4]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
Crafting TableOutput Variable TransformerCrafting Table

Recipe id: integratedcrafting:crafting/part_crafting_writer

In this pack, the writer has aspects that can craft a given item, fluid, energy amount or recipe.[3]

As things stand in this pack, a Crafting Interface does not import the crafting results from the bound machine, so getting the results back into the network is your job. The Crafting Table is the exception: a Crafting Interface alone is enough to craft with it. The interface tracks changes in the storage network and only marks the job as completed once the expected outputs are present there.[3]

There are two ways to get results back. You can put an active Integrated Tunnels importer on the machine, or you can let the machine output automatically into the Crafting Interface. Anything inserted into the interface (items, fluids or energy) goes into the storage network for the configured channel.[3]

Tip: If a job is currently not finishing, check your output path first. A job is only marked completed once the expected outputs are present in the storage network, so make sure the machine's results end up back there.[3]

Blocking mode

By default, a Crafting Interface has blocking mode enabled. The machine then accepts only one recipe at a time, and the next recipe only starts once the previous one has completed.[3]

If your machine can process several inputs in parallel, you can turn blocking mode off in the interface's settings GUI. With it off, as many inputs as possible are processed by the machine for a multi-amount crafting job.[3]

Configuration

Like most Integrated Dynamics parts, the Crafting Interface lets you set things such as the channel, priority and tick rate. You can also change the target side separately for each ingredient type. That helps when a machine takes items from the sides but fluids from the top, for example.[3]

The Attuned Crafting Interface

Later in the game you can craft the Part Interface Crafting Attuned. You don't add recipes by hand: it reads and exposes all the recipes available in the target machine, the same ones listed in the Machine Reader. Some modded machines may not be supported, and a red border shows this when you place the interface.[3][4]

Because it exposes every recipe, it may hand the network more than you want. A Crafting Table alone accounts for hundreds. So its GUI shows every recipe of the bound machine as a grid of output icons, and you decide which ones the network may craft.[3]

  • In the GUI, a recipe with a green border is currently exposed to the network. Click it to give it a red border and grey it out, which removes it from the network so no new crafting job uses it. Click it again to bring it back.[3]
  • Hovering over a recipe currently shows its output, its recipe name and the ingredients it needs.[3]
  • To change many recipes at once, hold the mouse button and drag over them. The recipe you start on decides whether the drag enables or disables.[3]
  • The search field matches recipe names, mod names and recipe ids. The Enable, Disable and Invert buttons apply to whatever the search currently matches.[3]
Tip: On a machine with thousands of recipes, searching for minecraft: and pressing Disable hides every vanilla recipe in one go, since the buttons apply to whatever the search currently matches.[3]

Debugging crafting jobs

If a job doesn't work because of a misconfiguration, use the crafting aspects of the Network Reader. They can list all available recipes in the network, all running crafting jobs and the missing crafting job ingredients. Showing these lists in Display Panels helps you pinpoint the problem.[3]

If you have Integrated Terminals installed, the Crafting Job Terminal can show all running jobs and any missing ingredients, and it can cancel jobs.[3]

How do you progress through IntegratedCrafting?

3 parts

IntegratedCrafting has no quest chapter of its own in this pack. Its autocrafting quest sits inside the Integrated Dynamics chapter, so you follow the Integrated Dynamics chain first and reach the crafting part near the end of it.[2]

The path through the quest book

  1. Start with "Integrated Dynamics" quest. Menril Saplings come from sieving Moss with an Iron+ Mesh, and the tree needs a 3x3 area of dirt to grow.[2]
  2. Do a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", then a quest in "Integrated Dynamics". Menril Logs squeezed into resin are picked up by a Drying Basin, and after 7.5 seconds the resin turns into a Block of Crystallized Menril.[2]
  3. Reach "Crystallized Menril Chunks" quest. The quest calls these chunks the main crafting ingredient of Integrated Dynamics.[2]
  4. Build your network basics with "Logic Cables" quest, then "Variable Cards" quest. The Input and Output Variable Transformer quests (a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics") come right after Variable Cards.[2]
  5. Work through the importer, exporter and interface quests, the untitled "Moving Stuff!" quest and the two interface and importer/exporter menu explainers that follow it. After those comes a quest in "Integrated Dynamics".[2]
  6. Finally, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" unlocks after the Logic Programmer, and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" comes after that.[2]

Crafting Interface

The Part Interface Crafting is the item the AUTO CRAFT quest asks for, and it is the first IntegratedCrafting item you meet. Here is the in-pack recipe.[2][4]

The quest explains the setup like this:[2]

  1. Place the Crafting Interface on a crafting table and right-click it to get slots for Variable Cards.[2]
  2. Open the Logic Programmer and search for Recipe in the top left. Create a recipe for autocrafting and save it to a Variable Card.[2]
  3. If the recipe needs items that must be crafted too, create a recipe for each of those, then put everything in the Crafting Interface.[2]
Tip: The Logic Programmer is the real gate for autocrafting, since you need it to write the recipe Variable Cards. Finish its quest before you plan a crafting setup.[2]

Other IntegratedCrafting items

The pack has recipes for two more IntegratedCrafting parts: the Part Crafting Writer and the Part Interface Crafting Attuned. The Integrated Dynamics chapter has no quest for either of them.[2][4]

How does IntegratedCrafting work with other mods?

2 parts

In this pack, IntegratedCrafting is tied closely to Integrated Dynamics. All three of its recipes in the pack's recipe dump are mod recipes that use Integrated Dynamics parts, plus a few vanilla and common items such as a crafting table, iron ingots and emeralds. The quest book also puts the autocrafting quest inside the Integrated Dynamics chapter, not in a chapter of its own.[2][4]

Recipes that connect the mods

The Part Crafting Writer is built from an Integrated Dynamics variable transformer and a Crafting Table.[4]

The Part Interface Crafting is the bigger one. It needs both the Input Variable Transformer and the Output Variable Transformer, plus a Block of Crystallized Menril, so you need to be well into Integrated Dynamics before you can make it.[4]

Where the quest book places it

The Integrated Dynamics chapter has 27 quests. The transformer quests, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", both come after the Variable Cards quest. The first is described as a crafting ingredient for anything that does importing, whether items, fluids or energy.[2]

The autocrafting quest, a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", is titled "AUTO CRAFT" and asks you to get the Crafting Interface. It comes after the Logic Programmer quest. Six quests in this chapter are not covered here, so check the quest book for those.[2]

The quest explains the setup like this: place the Crafting Interface on a crafting table and right-click it to get slots for Variable Cards. Then use the Logic Programmer, search for Recipe in the top left, create a recipe for autocrafting and save it to a Variable Card. If a recipe needs items that must be crafted first, make a recipe for each of those too, then put everything into the Crafting Interface.[2]

Tip: The quest book only tells the autocrafting setup for the Crafting Interface. I have no quest text for the Crafting Writer or the attuned interface, so I am not covering how they work here.[2]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use IntegratedCrafting?

3 parts

IntegratedCrafting has one quest in this pack, and it sits inside the Integrated Dynamics chapter, which has 27 quests in total. The chapter opens with "Integrated Dynamics" quest, which asks for a Menril Sapling and hands you a guidebook as a reward. You work through the basics of the whole Integrated Dynamics family before you reach autocrafting.[2]

The road to the crafting quest

  1. Start with the Menril basics. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" both come right after the opening quest. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" follows the Squeezer, and "Crystallized Menril Chunks" quest follows that. The chunks are the main crafting ingredient of Integrated Dynamics.[2]
  2. After the chunks, the chapter branches into the Wrench, Honeycomb, Energy Battery, Interfaces and Logic Cables quests. "Logic Cables" quest is the branch that leads toward the logistics quests.[2]
  3. Next come "Variable Cards" quest, then the Input and Output Variable Transformer quests. Those lead to the a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" quests.[2]
  4. a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" follows the Importing, Exporting and Interfaces quests. After it come untitled explainer quests about interface and importer/exporter menus, and then a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", titled Getting Advanced.[2]

The AUTO CRAFT quest

a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" unlocks right after the Logic Programmer quest, at the same point as the Portable Logic Programmer and Variable Store quests. It asks you to get the Part Interface Crafting.[2]

The quest text walks you through the setup:[2]

  1. Place the Crafting Interface on a crafting table and right-click it to get slots for Variable Cards.[2]
  2. Open the Logic Programmer, search for Recipe in the top left, and create a recipe for autocrafting. Save it to a Variable Card.[2]
  3. If a recipe needs items that must be crafted too, create a recipe for each of those. Then put everything in the Crafting Interface.[2]
Tip: You need the Logic Programmer for this, so finish a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" first. The Variable Cards from "Variable Cards" quest are where your saved recipes end up.[2]

What comes after

The only quest that follows AUTO CRAFT is a quest in "Integrated Dynamics", which asks for the Integrated Terminals crafting job part. It shows which crafting recipes are happening at any time, so it is handy for checking what your autocrafting setup is doing.[2]
