What is IntegratedDynamics?
1 part
IntegratedDynamics is part of the pack at version 1.27.8, and it has been here since 1.0 or earlier. Here's what the pack's quest book shows about how you're meant to meet it.[1]
Where it sits in the quests
The mod has its own quest chapter, and it opens with a plant. You start with the Menril Sapling (a quest in "?"). That unlocks the Squeezer and the Menril Berries. From the Squeezer you go on to the Drying Basin, and then to the Crystallized Menril Chunk.[2]
The Crystallized Menril Chunk quest opens three branches: the Wrench, the Logic Cable and the Energy Battery. The Energy Battery leads to the Generator. It also feeds the Mechanical Squeezer and the Mechanical Drying Basin, which each need an earlier manual machine first.[2]
The Cable quest leads to the Variable Card card. After that come the Input Variable Transformer and the Output Variable Transformer. The chapter also covers the Logic Programmer, which unlocks the Portable Logic Programmer and the Variable Store.[2]
You'll also run into the mod outside its own chapter. The Wrench, Cable and Variable Card show up in the basic logistics chapter, and the Energy Battery shows up in the basic power chapter. The Squeezer also appears in the starting out chapter, so you can meet this mod very early.[3][4][5]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what each item does in detail, and they don't show IntegratedDynamics on the ATM Star path. Check the in-game quest book and item tooltips for specifics.
How do you get started with IntegratedDynamics?
6 parts
Integrated Dynamics in this pack starts with Menril, and the pack's quest chapter for the mod walks you through it in order. Most of the later recipes use Crystallized Menril, so your first goal is a steady supply of it.[2][6]
Get a Menril Sapling
The first quest in the chapter asks for a Menril Sapling a quest in "?". This pack adds its own way to get one: sift a Moss Block in a sieve with an Iron, Golden, Diamond or Netherite Mesh.[2][6]
Squeezer and Drying Basin
Next the quests ask for the Squeezer a quest in "?", then the Drying Basin a quest in "?". A separate quest asks for Menril Berries a quest in "?". Here is the Squeezer:[2][6]

Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/drying_basin
The mod's own advancement describes the loop: process a Menril Log into Menril Resin, then dry it to obtain Crystallized Menril.[7]
Crystallized Menril Chunk
The Crystallized Menril Chunk is the next quest a quest in "?". Three more quests unlock once you have it: the Wrench, the Cable and the Energy Battery.[2]
The pack also changes other routes to a chunk, so you are not limited to the basin:[6]
- Centrifuge Menril Resin in a Productive Bees centrifuge to get a chunk plus Wax. The pack changed this recipe.[6]
- Cast Menril Resin with a Nugget Cast in Productive Metalworks. The pack changed this recipe too.[6]
- An XyCraft extractor turns water into Menril Berries in this pack, which is another way to get the berries for their quest.[6]
Wrench, Cable and Energy Battery
The Wrench has a quest a quest in "?" right after the chunk, and it also opens the basic logistics chapter.[2][3]

How does IntegratedDynamics work?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
The sources for this pack describe IntegratedDynamics mainly through its advancement texts and read-out descriptions, so this section follows those. They show a network of cables, readers that read values from the world, variable cards that hold them, and displays and writers that show or act on them.[8]
Logic networks
One advancement asks you to build a logic network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables, so that is a good first target for Logic Cable.[8]
Crafting Shaped
| any redstone dust | ||
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/cable
One craft gives you 3 Logic Cables.
Values travel through the network as variables. You craft a Variable Card and define it, for example as a constant Integer. A Display Panel can show a variable, a Materializer can materialize one, and a Proxy can hold a proxy variable. Variable Input and Output Transformers are also crafted items.[8]
The Logic Programmer is where you build more complex logic. Opening its GUI is an advancement, and one advancement has you create a recipe visually in it. Operators can also be invoked dynamically, and lists can be static, filtered or infinite.[8]
Reading the world
Readers are how you get data into the network. The advancements mention a Block Reader, Inventory Reader, Machine Reader, Redstone Reader and Entity Reader. A Block Reader can read the NBT tag of a machine such as a Lectern. A Machine Reader can read the list of recipes from a machine such as the Crafting Table.[8]
Each reader exposes aspects, which are values you can turn into variables. The language file describes many of them. These are the groups most useful for automation:[8]
- Inventory: the descriptions cover whether the target has an inventory, and whether it is empty, non-empty or full. A fill ratio is described as the number of non-empty slots divided by the total number of slots.[8]
- Fluid: the descriptions cover whether the target has a fluid tank, and whether it is empty, non-empty or full. The fluid fill ratio is described as the amount of fluid in the active tank divided by its capacity.[8]
- FE: whether the target handles FE, can provide or receive it, and can have FE extracted or inserted. There are also empty, non-empty and full checks, and a fill ratio of the FE in the target divided by its capacity.[8]
- Machine: whether the target is a worker machine, is currently working, has work to process, or would be able to start working in its current state.[8]
- Redstone: the descriptions list high, low and non-low checks, plus a clock aspect described as pulses with a configurable length and interval.[8]
- Temperature: the descriptions list the current, default, minimum and maximum temperature of the target, each given in Kelvin.[8]
- World: day, night, weather, and whether the target space has a player, mob, animal, entity or item. Ticks per second can be read for one world or averaged over all worlds.[8]
Acting on what you read
A Redstone Writer is the output side. One advancement asks you to let it write the maximal integer redstone level that a Redstone Reader read. Another asks you to open a door automatically by matching an entity name, using an Entity Reader and a Redstone Writer.[8]
The language file also describes settings for emitted redstone. The pulse value is described as the value that should be emitted and the pulse length as a duration in ticks. A boolean option is described as deciding whether a Redstone Torch is simulated instead of regular Redstone Dust.[8]
If your logic needs to wait, the Delayer is the crafted item for it.[9]

Menril and drying
One advancement asks you to chop down a Menril tree, which can most easily be found in Meneglin biomes. Another asks you to process Menril Log into Menril Resin and dry it to obtain Crystallized Menril. The advancement for drying asks you to craft a Drying Basin.[8]
Crafting Shaped

This pack adds two ways to get Menril items without the usual route: a sieve recipe for a Menril Sapling and Create cutting recipes for Menril Planks.[9]
Cutting (create)
Recipe id: create:cutting/runtime_generated/compat/integrateddynamics/menril_log_stripped_to_menril_planks
Added by the pack, cuts a Stripped Menril Log into planks.
A stonecutting recipe turns a Block of Crystallized Menril into a Crystallized Menril Brick.[9]
Power
The mod has an Energy Battery and a Generator, which the sources name Generator. The Generator is crafted from the battery, so you make the battery first. The FE aspects described earlier can read how full a battery or other FE target is. The sources here do not show capacity or generation figures.[8][9]

Crystallized Chorus in this pack
The pack changes how Crystallized Chorus is handled through Productive Metalworks. Melting a Block of Crystallized Chorus gives 1,000 of Liquid Chorus. Casting 1,000 Liquid Chorus gives the block back. Both recipes are marked as changed by the pack.[9]
Item Melting (productivemetalworks)

Block Casting (productivemetalworks)

A Crystallized Chorus Chunk can also be cast from 1,000 Liquid Chorus, again with a pack-changed recipe. The normal crafting recipes still convert between the block and chunks, and one block makes 9 chunks.[9]

How do you progress through IntegratedDynamics?
4 parts
Integrated Dynamics progression in this pack follows the "integrated_dynamics" quest chapter. You start from a Menril Sapling, move to the Squeezer and Drying Basin, and unlock Crystallized Menril. From there the chapter splits into a power branch and a logic branch.[2]
Tier 1: Menril basics
The chain opens with a Menril Sapling (a quest in "?"). The pack adds sieve recipes that give you the sapling from a moss block using an iron, golden, diamond or netherite mesh, so you don't need to find a Menril tree first.[2][6]
Two quests unlock right after the sapling. One asks for Menril Berries (a quest in "?") and the other for the Squeezer (a quest in "?"). The pack changed the XyCraft extractor recipe so that water produces Menril Berries. The Squeezer also shows up as a quest in the Starting Out chapter.[2][5][6]
Tier 2: Crystallized Menril
After the Squeezer you craft the Drying Basin (a quest in "?"). Then comes the Crystallized Menril Chunk (a quest in "?"). This chunk is the key material of the mod, and nearly every crafted Integrated Dynamics recipe in the pack uses it.[2][6]
Crafting Shaped
| any log | any black dye | any log |
| any iron ingot | Empty slot | any iron ingot |
| any log | any black dye | any log |
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/drying_basin
The pack changed other ways to get the chunk, both starting from Menril Resin. A Productive Bees centrifuge recipe turns resin into a chunk plus wax. A Productive Metalworks casting recipe turns resin and a nugget cast into a chunk.[6]
Tier 3: Power and machines
Once you have the chunk, the Energy Battery (a quest in "?") opens the power branch. The basic power chapter has its own quest for the battery too. Three quests hang off the battery: the Generator (a quest in "?"), the Mechanical Squeezer (a quest in "?"), and the Mechanical Drying Basin (a quest in "?"). The two mechanical machines also require you to have finished the Squeezer or Drying Basin quest respectively.[2][4]

Tier 4: Cables and logic
The other branch from the chunk gives you the Wrench (a quest in "?") and the Logic Cable (a quest in "?"). The basic logistics chapter repeats these two and the Variable Card as early quests.[2][3]
Crafting Shaped

The cable leads to the Variable Card (a quest in "?"). That unlocks the Input Variable Transformer (a quest in "?") and the Output Variable Transformer (a quest in "?").[2]

The Logic Programmer (a quest in "?") comes next. It unlocks the Portable Logic Programmer (a quest in "?") and the Variable Store (a quest in "?").[2]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/logic_programmer_to_portable
You can turn the Logic Programmer into its portable version with this recipe.
Unverified The quests in these chapters have no titles or descriptions in the available data. The Logic Programmer quest also depends on a quest that is not in the provided sources. How the Squeezer and Drying Basin turn Menril into resin and chunks is not confirmed here either.
How does IntegratedDynamics work with other mods?
6 parts
Integrated Dynamics doesn't live in a bubble in this pack. Its sister mods (Integrated Tunnels, Integrated Terminals and Integrated Crafting) build directly on its items, and the pack also hooks it into Ex Deorum, Mekanism, Productive Trees, Productive Bees and Productive Metalworks.[6]
Menril Saplings from Ex Deorum
The pack adds Ex Deorum sieve recipes that give you a Menril Sapling, with one recipe for each mesh tier: iron, golden, diamond and netherite. These recipes are added by the pack, not by Integrated Dynamics itself.[6]

Menril Planks from other mods' sawing
Menril logs can be turned into Menril Planks in two pack-added ways. Mekanism's sawing recipe also gives you Sawdust as a byproduct, and there is a Productive Trees sawmill recipe as well.[6]

Productive Bees and Productive Metalworks
The pack changed two Productive Bees centrifuge recipes that involve Integrated Dynamics items. One turns Menril Resin into a Crystallized Menril Chunk plus Wax. The other turns Liquid Chorus into an Ender Pearl plus wax.[6]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/integrateddynamics/honeycomb_menril

Integrated Tunnels
Integrated Tunnels logistics parts are built on Integrated Dynamics items. The item, fluid and energy interface parts are the base. Importers and exporters are made from those interfaces together with the Input Variable Transformer or Output Variable Transformer. The world versions add a Logic Director. These are the mod's own recipes, and the pack doesn't mark them as changed.[6]

Integrated Terminals
The Drying Basin and the Mechanical Drying Basin both have recipes for Menril Glass and Chorus Glass. Menril Glass is used in the storage terminal part and the crafting job terminal part, and the Portable Storage Terminal is made from the storage terminal part plus a Crystallized Menril Chunk.[6]

The pack's quest chapters that I could check only track Integrated Dynamics' own items, so all the connections above come from recipes rather than quests.[2][3][4][5]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use IntegratedDynamics?
4 parts
Integrated Dynamics has its own quest chapter in the pack, called integrated_dynamics. A few quests for the mod also turn up in three other chapters. None of these quests has a title in the pack files, so I describe each one by the item it asks you to obtain.[2][3][4][5]
The integrated_dynamics chapter
The chapter opens with a quest in "?", which asks for a Menril Sapling. Two quests unlock from it: a quest in "?" for the Squeezer and a quest in "?" for Menril Berries.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for the Drying Basin and unlocks after the Squeezer quest.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Crystallized Menril Chunk and unlocks after the Drying Basin quest.[2]
- Three quests open once you have the chunk: a quest in "?" for the Wrench, a quest in "?" for the Logic Cable, and a quest in "?" for the Energy Battery.[2]
Machines and power
The Energy Battery quest leads into the powered machines. a quest in "?" asks for the Generator. a quest in "?" asks for the Mechanical Squeezer and needs both the battery and the Squeezer quests. a quest in "?" asks for the Mechanical Drying Basin and needs both the battery and the Drying Basin quests.[2]
Logic and variables
The Cable quest opens the logic branch. a quest in "?" asks for a Variable Card. After it you can take a quest in "?" for the Input Variable Transformer and a quest in "?" for the Output Variable Transformer.[2]
A separate line starts with a quest in "?", which asks for the Logic Programmer. It unlocks after a quest that is not part of this mod's chapter. Once you finish it, a quest in "?" asks for the Portable Logic Programmer and a quest in "?" asks for the Variable Store.[2]
Unverified The prerequisite quest for the Logic Programmer quest is not in the sources I was given, so I can't say what it asks for.
Quests in other chapters
- basic_logistics starts with a quest in "?" for the Wrench. After it come a quest in "?" for a Variable Card and a quest in "?" for a Logic Cable.[3]
- basic_power has a quest in "?", which asks for the Energy Battery. It unlocks after a quest outside this mod's list.[4]
- chapter_1_starting_out has a quest in "?", which asks for the Squeezer. It also unlocks after a quest outside this mod's list.[5]
