What is Thermal Endergy?
2 parts
Thermal Endergy is an add-on that pushes Thermal into the late game. It's inspired by the author's older Ender IO addon, Ender IO Endergy, and it's aimed at faster machines, bigger drills and lower fuel consumption. The pack ships version 1.20.1-1.0.0 of the mod.[1][2]
What it adds
- 3 new metals, used through Thermal's augment system.[1]
- 3 new tiers of integral components, with 6x, 8.5x and 12x modifiers respectively. They need resources from the End and beyond.[1]
- Nullifier Augments, which massively improve certain attributes of your machines and dynamos, but at a great cost.[1]
The mod's own description warns that its content may not actually be balanced, so expect some seriously overpowered gear.[1]
Where it sits in the quest book
This pack doesn't give the mod a chapter of its own. Its quests live in the "Extended Crafting" chapter, which is in the "Production" group and is chapter 37 of 44 in the book. The chapter has 248 quests and is mostly made up of ingot quests and Singularity quests, with a "Welcome to Extended Crafting" quest in it.[3]
Three of those quests ask for this mod's ingots: a quest in "Extended Crafting" for Melodium Ingot, a quest in "Extended Crafting" for Stellarium Ingot and a quest in "Extended Crafting" for Prismalium Ingot. They sit next to ingot quests from many other mods, such as Thermal's own metals.[3]
Not every quest in that chapter could be shown here, so the rest of the chapter's text is in the quest book itself.[3]
How do you get started with Thermal Endergy?
6 parts
Thermal Endergy adds three new metals to Thermal, plus Nullifier Augments and three tiers of integral components built from them. The easiest way in is to follow the chain of what needs what. This is the order that makes sense from the pack's recipes.[1][4]
Step 1: Prismalium and Melodium ingots
Start with Prismalium Ingot and Melodium Ingot. Almost everything else in the early chain is made from one of them: gears, plates, augments and the first integral components. Stellarium comes later. Both of these ingots can be made in a Thermal smelter.[4]

The pack also adds two extra routes for these metals. An Ender IO alloy smelting recipe turns dust back into an ingot, and a Mekanism crusher recipe turns an ingot into dust. For example, Melodium Dust and Prismalium Dust can be made from their ingots in the crusher.[4]
Step 2: The Vibrating Core
Next, make a Vibrating Core. It is a single crafting recipe, and three of the augments (Efficiency Nullifier, Energy Nullifier and Catalyst Resonation Chamber) use one.[4]

Step 3: Gears and plates
Turn some ingots into Melodium Gear and Melodium Plate, and do the same with prismalium. Gears can be crafted by hand, and plates come from the Thermal press.[4]

Step 4: Your first augments
Now you can build augments. The mod describes the Nullifier Augments as massively improving certain attributes of your machines and dynamos, but at a great cost, so read what each one does before you install it. These two are a good place to start.[1]

Step 5: Integral components and Stellarium
The three integral component tiers are a chain: Melodic Integral Components is built on Pristine Integral Components, and Stellar Integral Components is built on tier 2. Tier 3 is also where Stellarium Ingot comes in. The mod's own description gives the tiers 6x, 8.5x and 12x modifiers and says they need resources from the End and beyond.[1][4]

In the quest book
The quest book has quests for these metals in the "Extended Crafting" chapter (group "Production", chapter 37 of 44): a quest in "Extended Crafting", a quest in "Extended Crafting" and a quest in "Extended Crafting". All three are among the ingots that the end-of-chapter quest "The one and only" quest (The Ultimate Ingot) comes after. 28 of the 248 quests in that chapter are not shown in the sources here, so check the quest book itself for what those say.[3]
How does Thermal Endergy work?
4 parts
Thermal Endergy is an expansion for Thermal that works through the augment system. It adds three new metals, three tiers of integral components and a set of Nullifier Augments, so most of its mechanics come down to what you craft and what you install in your Thermal machines and dynamos. The sources don't describe any machines, multiblocks or fluid handling of the mod's own, so this section covers only what they do confirm.[1]
Integral components
The mod adds 3 tiers of integral components with 6x, 8.5x and 12x modifiers, and they need resources from the End and beyond. The language file names them Pristine, Melodic and Stellar Integral Components. You can craft the first tier, Pristine Integral Components, like this:[1][5]

Nullifier Augments
Nullifier Augments massively improve certain attributes of your machines and dynamos, but at a great cost. The sources don't say which attribute each one boosts or what the cost is. These are the ones I can confirm:[1]
- Efficiency Nullifier Augment[4][5]
- Energy Nullifier Augment[4][5]
- Consumption Nullifier Augment[4][5]
- A Fuel Nullifier Augment also exists in the language file, but no recipe for it appears in the sources I have.[5]
The Efficiency and Energy versions both use a Vibrating Core and a Melodium Plate in their recipes. Here are the three nullifier recipes and the core:[4]

The metals and how to process them
The three metals are Melodium, Prismalium and Stellarium. Each comes as an ingot, nugget, dust, gear, plate, coin and block in the language file. The recipes I can see cover Melodium and Prismalium, and the Stellarium recipes aren't among the ones shown.[4][5]
- Thermal smelter: a smelter recipe for each metal makes 2 ingots, for both Melodium Ingot and Prismalium Ingot.[4]
- Evolved Mekanism alloying also makes 2 ingots of each of those metals.[4]
- Thermal press: a Melodium Ingot becomes a Melodium Plate.[4]
- Thermal pulverizer: a Melodium Ingot becomes Melodium Dust.[4]
- Packing: the press with the 3x3 packing die turns 9 ingots into a Melodium Block or a Prismalium Block. A Melodium Block also crafts back into 9 ingots by hand.[4]
- Gear: the Melodium Gear has its own crafting recipe.[4]

What the pack changes
The pack adds extra ways to move between ingots and dust. An Ender IO alloy smelter turns Melodium Dust or Prismalium Dust back into ingots, and a Mekanism crusher turns the ingots into dust. The pack's crusher script covers Stellarium too, giving 1 Stellarium Dust per ingot.[4][6]

How do you progress through Thermal Endergy?
7 parts
Thermal Endergy is built around three metals: Prismalium, Melodium and Stellarium. Its three Integral Components upgrade items climb in the same order, and the gears, plates and augments in the mod are made from these metals.[4]
Where the quest book puts it
The pack's quest book has a chapter called "Extended Crafting" in the "Production" group, and it asks you to hold each of the three metals as an ingot: a quest in "Extended Crafting" for Prismalium, a quest in "Extended Crafting" for Melodium and a quest in "Extended Crafting" for Stellarium. None of them lists a quest before it. All three are listed before "The one and only" quest ("The one and only"), which asks for The Ultimate Ingot.[3][4]
Tier 1: Prismalium
You make Prismalium Ingot in the Thermal smelter, and one craft gives you 2 ingots. Evolved Mekanism's alloying also gives 2 ingots per craft.[4]

Tier 2: Melodium
Melodium Ingot also comes out of the Thermal smelter at 2 ingots per craft, and Evolved Mekanism alloying matches that.[4]

Working with the metals
Each metal follows the same pattern. Ingots can be pressed into plates or gears, split into 9 nuggets, or packed into blocks of 9 ingots. A pulverizer turns ingots into dust, and dust can be smelted back into an ingot.[4]
The pack adds two extra routes for each metal. An EnderIO alloy smelting recipe turns dust into an ingot, and a Mekanism crusher recipe turns an ingot into dust.[4][6]
Augments
The mod's augments are Extended Range Augment, Efficiency Nullifier Augment, Energy Nullifier Augment, Consumption Nullifier Augment, Fuel Nullifier Augment and Catalyst Resonation Chamber Augment. The recipes for the efficiency and the two dynamo augments are shown below.[4]

Endgame use
The pack has its own recipe for the Creative Flux Efficiency Upgrade, made at an Extended Crafting table, and Thermal Endergy items feature in it. So finishing the ladder pays off beyond this mod.[7]

How does Thermal Endergy work with other mods?
5 parts
Thermal Endergy is an addon for Thermal, so its closest tie is the Thermal press. Packing, unpacking and gear-making for Melodium Ingot, Prismalium Ingot and Stellarium Ingot all use Thermal's own dies: Press Packing 3x3 Die, Press Unpacking Die and Press Gear Die. These are regular mod recipes, so nothing in them was changed by the pack.[4]

Creative Flux Efficiency Upgrade
The pack adds an Extended Crafting table recipe for Machine Efficiency Creative Augment. It pulls Thermal Endergy together with Thermal, Thermal Extra, Mekanism and its addons. From Thermal Endergy you need the Efficiency Nullifier Augment, the Energy Nullifier Augment and all three tiers of integral components: Pristine Integral Components, Melodic Integral Components and Stellar Integral Components.[4][7]

Void Miners
The pack changed two Void Miners recipes so they need Stellar Integral Components (Stellar Integral Components). These are the Rosarium Miner and the Solar Rosarium Panel. Mekanism crushing
A pack script adds Mekanism crushing recipes that turn the Melodium, Prismalium and Stellarium ingots into their dusts, 1 ingot for 1 dust. The same script does this for several Thermal and Thermal Extra ingots too, so your Mekanism crusher handles these metals just like the rest.[6]
In the quest book
The quest book covers all three metals in the "Extended Crafting" chapter, which sits in the "Production" group as chapter 37 of 44. It has 248 quests, and the ones for these metals ask you for a quest in "Extended Crafting", a quest in "Extended Crafting" and a quest in "Extended Crafting". They sit among ingot quests from many other mods. Many of the chapter's quests are not shown in my sources, so open the quest book to see what the rest says.[3]
Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use Thermal Endergy?
2 parts
Thermal Endergy shows up in one quest chapter in this pack: Extended Crafting. It sits in the "Production" group and is chapter 37 of 44 in the book. It's a big chapter with 248 quests, and most of them are ingot quests, plus a lot of Extended Crafting singularities.[3]
What the chapter asks for from this mod
Three quests ask for Thermal Endergy items, and each one is a simple hand-in of a single ingot:[3]
- a quest in "Extended Crafting": hand in a Melodium Ingot.[3]
- a quest in "Extended Crafting": hand in a Stellarium Ingot.[3]
- a quest in "Extended Crafting": hand in a Prismalium Ingot.[3]
Where they fit in the order
In the book, none of these three quests has a prerequisite listed. They aren't placed behind the chapter's opening quest, "Welcome to Extended Crafting" ("Welcome to Extended Crafting" quest). Only the Ender Ingot, Redstone Ingot and Black Iron Ingot quests are placed directly after it.[3]
What they do lead to is "The one and only" quest, which asks for The Ultimate Ingot. That quest has a very long list of prerequisites made up of ingot and alloy quests from many mods. Melodium, Stellarium and Prismalium are all on that list, so you'll need all three before you can unlock it.[3]
The chapter then carries on past that point. a quest in "Extended Crafting" is placed after The Ultimate Ingot quest, along with the Black Iron Slate and Luminessence quests, and a quest in "Extended Crafting" comes after that component.[3]
What changed in Thermal Endergy between versions?
There is very little version history to cover for Thermal Endergy. The only mod changelog entry available is for version 1.20.1-1.0.0, and it reads: "Updated to 1.20.1".[9]
That is the version in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 (file thermalendergy-1.20.1-1.0.0.jar). The pack's mod list shows it was first included in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.45.4 or earlier.[2]
No pack changelog entries exist for this mod, so there are no recorded pack-specific changes to it across releases.[2]
