What is Void Miners?
2 parts
Void Miners adds a line of tiered miners, each built from frames, plus solar panels, modifiers and storage upgrades to support them. This pack ships version 1.20.1-1.9.26.2, and it was already in the pack by version 0.0.45.4.[1][2]
Where it sits in the quest book
The mod has its own chapter, "Voidminer", with 37 quests. It is chapter 34 of 44 in the book, in the Production group. The chapter just before it, chapter 33 in the same group, is "ProjectE Philo Stone". Its visible quests ask for Rosarium many times, and the rest of that chapter's quests are in the quest book. What comes after the Voidminer chapter isn't covered by the sources I have, so check the book for the next chapter.[2][3]
The ATM Star path doesn't use this mod.[2]
How the chapter flows
- It opens with "Harnessing the Void", a checkmark quest. After it come quests to hand in 100 redstone, 100 diamonds, 100 blaze powder and 100 glowstone dust, plus 25 redstone and 25 diamonds.[2]
- Those feed into 100 Rubetine, then the "Rubetine Miner Tier 1" quest, which asks for a Rubetine Miner, 20 Rubetine Frame and 9 Glass Panel.[2]
- The miner quests then climb through Aurantium, Citrinetine, Verdium, Azurine, Caerium, Amethystine and Rosarium, and end at the Ultimate Miner. From Aurantium onward they also ask for Null Modifier.[2]
- A separate solar branch starts with Solar Rubetine and runs through the panels up to the Solar Ultimate Panel.[2]
- The storage upgrades Storage Upgrade T1, Storage Upgrade T2 and Storage Upgrade T3 form their own short chain.[2]
- After "Optimizing the Void" you get quests for the Rubetine Item Modifier, Rubetine Energy Modifier and Rubetine Speed Modifier.[2]
How do you get started with Void Miners?
5 parts
Void Miners lives in the quest book chapter "Voidminer", in the Production group (chapter 34 of 44, 37 quests). This section follows that chapter's order, so you can tick quests off as you go. Start with "Harnessing the Void" quest, Harnessing the Void, a checkmark quest that the rest of the chapter hangs off.[2]
Step 1: Make Rubetine
Rubetine is the first material in the chain, and the chapter asks you to hand in 100 of it. The pack changed this recipe, so don't rely on the mod's defaults. One craft gives you 4 Rubetine.[2][4]

Recipe id: voidminers:rubetine
This recipe is marked as changed by the pack and makes 4 Rubetine per craft.
The early quests in the chapter also ask for bulk vanilla materials: 100 diamonds, 100 redstone, 100 blaze powder and 100 glowstone dust, each with a smaller 25 version for some of them. Plan on gathering a decent stack before you move on.[2]
Step 2: Glass Panels and your first miner
"Rubetine Miner Tier 1" quest, Rubetine Miner Tier 1, asks for a Rubetine Miner, 20 Rubetine Frame and 9 Glass Panel. Glass Panels are used in every miner quest in this chapter, so get used to making them.[2]
Step 3: Give it power
In this pack ALLOW_NO_ENERGY_MINERS is false, so a miner needs energy to run. The Rubetine Miner uses 3,000 FE per tick (MINER_CONFIGS.rubetine.energyTick) and stores 10,000,000 FE (MINER_CONFIGS.rubetine.energyStorage).[5]
The chapter's solar branch starts with a quest in "Voidminer", which asks for 100 Solar Rubetine. Next comes a quest in "Voidminer", the Solar Rubetine Panel. In the config, the Rubetine solar panel generates 512 (SOLAR_PANEL_CONFIGS.rubetine.energyGeneration) and stores 8,000,000 (SOLAR_PANEL_CONFIGS.rubetine.energyStorage).[2][5]
Step 4: Storage upgrades
"Storage Upgrade T1" quest, Storage Upgrade T1, comes right after the untitled checkmark quest in the chapter. The T2 and T3 quests follow it in order. The T1 recipe was changed by the pack.[2][4]

Where to go next
After the Rubetine Miner, the next quest is a quest in "Voidminer". It asks for an Aurantium Miner, 36 Aurantium Frame, 23 Glass Panels and 2 Null Modifier.[2]

How does Void Miners work?
6 parts
Void Miners gives you a tiered set of multiblock miners and matching multiblock solar panels, all powered by FE. This page covers how they behave in this pack, with the numbers taken from the pack's own config file. Anything the sources don't explain is marked as unverified.[5][6]
Assembling and running a miner
A miner is a multiblock, and its controller tells you what is wrong. If the structure is incomplete, shift right-click the block to get a build guide that lists the total blocks you need. The same works for solar panels.[6]
- Not assembled correctly: shift right-click the controller for the guide.[6]
- Assembled but not active: the miner has to see the void or bedrock. The distance to bedrock does not matter, only that the center block can see it.[6]
- Not working correctly: check that the miner has at least 1 empty slot, and that the required energy is smaller than the total energy storage.[6]
- Working correctly: nothing to fix.[6]
Miner tiers
Each tier has its own energy storage, energy use per tick and a duration value. A lower duration means a faster miner. The list below is ordered by energy use per tick, all set in config/void-miners.json5 under MINER_CONFIGS.[5]
- Rubetine: 3,000 FE/t, 10,000,000 FE storage, duration 1,000.[5]
- Aurantium: 3,500 FE/t, 25,000,000 FE storage, duration 900.[5]
- Citrinetine: 4,000 FE/t, 50,000,000 FE storage, duration 800.[5]
- Verdium: 4,500 FE/t, 100,000,000 FE storage, duration 700.[5]
- Azurine: 5,000 FE/t, 250,000,000 FE storage, duration 600.[5]
- Caerium: 5,500 FE/t, 500,000,000 FE storage, duration 500.[5]
- Amethystine: 6,000 FE/t, 750,000,000 FE storage, duration 400.[5]
- Rosarium: 6,500 FE/t, 1,000,000,000 FE storage, duration 300.[5]
- Ultimate: 7,000 FE/t, 2,147,483,647 FE storage, duration 200.[5]
You climb the tiers by crafting the next miner. The Aurantium Miner recipe uses the Rubetine Miner, and the Caerium Miner recipe uses the Azurine Miner. The Amethystine Miner recipe uses the Caerium Miner. The Caerium and Amethystine Miner recipes are crafted in an Extended Crafting table and were changed by the pack.[4]

Modifiers
Miners accept three kinds of modifier: energy, item amount and duration (speed). The first tier can't take any. The Rubetine Miner has no modifier slots, and modifiers start at the second tier.[6]
Every tier has its own modifier numbers in the config. On the Amethystine tier, the energy modifier cuts consumption by 27% (multiplier 0.73) with no other change. The item modifier gives 2.1 times the items for 1.8 times the energy. The speed modifier multiplies duration by 0.78 (22% faster) for 1.22 times the energy. On the Ultimate tier, the item modifier gives 2.5 times the items for 2 times the energy, and the speed modifier multiplies duration by 0.7 for 1.3 times the energy.[5]
The pack changed the Amethystine Item Modifier recipe. The Amethystine Energy Modifier recipe is the mod's own, and it uses the Caerium Energy Modifier.[4]

Storage upgrades
Storage Upgrades T1, T2 and T3 enlarge a miner's output inventory. Right-click a miner with one to apply it. It is consumed on use. Only the highest installed tier counts, so they don't stack. In this pack they add 3, 9 and 27 slots, set by UPGRADE_T1_SLOTS, UPGRADE_T2_SLOTS and UPGRADE_T3_SLOTS.[5][6]
Solar panels
Solar panels are multiblocks too, with the same shift right-click build guide. The Rubetine Solar Panel has no modifier slots, and modifiers start at the second tier. Panels take an efficiency modifier and a weather resistance modifier. The config gives each tier a generation rate in FE/t.[5][6]
- Rubetine: 512 FE/t, 8,000,000 FE storage.[5]
- Aurantium: 2,048 FE/t, 32,000,000 FE storage.[5]
- Citrinetine: 8,192 FE/t, 64,000,000 FE storage.[5]
- Verdium: 32,768 FE/t, 128,000,000 FE storage.[5]
- Azurine: 65,536 FE/t, 256,000,000 FE storage.[5]
- Caerium: 262,144 FE/t, 512,000,000 FE storage.[5]
- Amethystine: 524,288 FE/t, 2,048,000,000 FE storage.[5]
- Rosarium: 8,388,608 FE/t, 131,072,000,000 FE storage.[5]
- Ultimate: 203,685,472 FE/t in the config, with 461,168,601,842,738 FE storage. The in-game tooltip text in the config says 203,685,477 FE/t, so the two don't match.[5]
Modifier values also scale with tier. On the Amethystine panel, the efficiency modifier adds 13% and the weather resistance modifier adds 137%. On the Ultimate panel, they add 15% and 233%.[5]
The top panel is a serious endgame craft. The Solar Ultimate Block recipe takes the Solar Rosarium Block and the Ultimate Stellar Core, and the pack changed it.[4]

Dimensions and config checks
The miner dimension filter is enabled, and its default is to disallow. The allow list names the Overworld, the Nether and the End, and nothing is on the block list. The solar dimension filter is switched off.[5]
The config also sets MINER_CHECK_INTERVAL_TICKS to 10, MINER_CACHE_TTL_TICKS to 200, SOLAR_CHECK_INTERVAL_TICKS to 20 and SOLAR_CACHE_TTL_TICKS to 200. MINER_PROGRESS_LOOKAHEAD is 5.[5]
Unverified What each miner tier actually produces, and how the check interval, cache and lookahead settings affect play, is not shown in the sources here. The pack's voidminer recipe script (kubejs/server_scripts/mods_recipes/extendedcrafting/voidminer/add_voidminer.js) was too long to include. The recipe dump only shows that the mod has a voidminers:miner recipe type, and the pack adds a recipe of that type for the Ultimate Stellar Core with no item inputs.
How do you progress through Void Miners?
6 parts
The quest book gives Void Miners its own chapter, "Voidminer", in the Production group. Its quests ask you for a Rubetine miner first and work up to the Ultimate Miner, with a line of solar panels alongside.[2][4]
Getting started: Rubetine
After the opening quest "Harnessing the Void" quest, the chapter branches into material quests. They ask for redstone and diamonds in stacks of 25 or 100, plus blaze powder and glowstone dust in stacks of 100. Those lead into a quest in "Voidminer", which asks for 100 Rubetine, and a quest in "Voidminer", which asks for 100 Solar Rubetine. The pack changed the recipes for both items, and one craft of each gives you 4.[2][4]

The mod's mining recipes are filed by dimension and tier. Rubetine sits under tier1_miner and Rosarium under tier7_miner, each with an Overworld and a Nether version.[4]
The miner ladder
Each quest in this line asks you to hand in a finished miner along with the materials listed below. The book titles the Verdium and Rosarium quests "Glass Panel", so look at the tasks rather than the names.[2]
- "Rubetine Miner Tier 1" quest asks for Rubetine Miner, 20 Rubetine Frame and 9 Glass Panel.[2][4]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for Aurantium Miner, 36 Aurantium Frame, 23 glass panels and 2 Null Modifier.[2][4]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for Citrinetine Miner, 36 Citrinetine Frame, 21 glass panels and 4 null modifiers.[2][4]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for Verdium Miner, 44 Verdium Frame, 39 glass panels and 6 null modifiers.[2][4]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for Azurine Miner, 48 Azurine Frame, 37 glass panels and 8 null modifiers.[2][4]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for Caerium Miner, 44 Caerium Frame, 35 glass panels and 10 null modifiers.[2][4]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for Amethystine Miner, 44 Amethystine Frame, 25 glass panels and 12 null modifiers.[2][4]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for Rosarium Miner, 60 Rosarium Frame, 30 glass panels and 16 null modifiers.[2][4]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for the Ultimate Miner itself.[2][4]
Crafting follows the same ladder, because each miner recipe takes the previous tier's miner as an ingredient. The Aurantium and Citrinetine miners use the mod's own recipes. The Verdium and Azurine miners are pack-changed crafting table recipes. The Caerium, Amethystine and Rosarium miners are pack-changed too, and they move to the Extended Crafting table, with much longer ingredient lists.[4]

The solar panel line
The solar quests ask for the panels in this order: a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer" and finally a quest in "Voidminer". Two extra quests branch off Solar Aurantium Panel: "Solar Weather Modifier" quest and "Solar Efficiency Modifier" quest. From Verdium to Rosarium, each panel recipe takes the previous panel in this line as an ingredient.[2][4]
The Verdium and Azurine panels are pack-changed crafting table recipes. The Caerium, Amethystine and Rosarium panels are pack-changed Extended Crafting table recipes.[4]

Where the tiers show up elsewhere
The Void Miners materials are used outside this chapter too. The ProjectE Philo Stone chapter (chapter 33) asks for Rosarium on the way to the Philosopher's Stone. The pack's Compressed Wind Generator recipes use Aurantium for the x128 version, Verdium for x2048 and Rosarium for x131072. The Avaritia Blaze Cube recipe uses Verdium, Citrinetine, Azurine and Caerium.[3][8][9][10][11]
How does Void Miners work with other mods?
7 parts
Void Miners doesn't stay in its own corner in this pack. Its materials and parts turn up in Mekanism, Compact Mekanism Machines, Avaritia, Evolved Mekanism and a lot of late-game recipes. Here is what the recipes and quests actually show.[2][4]
Mekanism: the Digital Miner
The pack changed the recipe for the Digital Miner. It's made on an Extended Crafting shaped table, and it asks for four Void Miners machines: the Rubetine Miner, Aurantium Miner, Citrinetine Miner and Verdium Miner.[4]

Block conversions
Two Void Miners blocks can be crafted into nuggets from other mods. The Ultimate Block gives Netherite Nugget, and the Aurantium Block gives Brass Nugget.[4]
In the quest book
The Voidminer chapter sits in the Production group, chapter 34 of 44, with 37 quests. Its early quests ask for vanilla items such as redstone, diamonds, blaze powder and glowstone dust. The last quests in the chapter ask for the a quest in "Voidminer" and the a quest in "Voidminer".[2]
The chapter right before it, ProjectE Philo Stone (chapter 33 of 44, also in Production), asks for Rosarium, starting with a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone", which asks for 8. More Rosarium quests follow it. Its other visible quests ask for items from other mods, including Cataclysm eyes, Botania's Third Eye and Draconic Evolution's Wyvern Core. The text of most of that chapter's quests isn't included here, so read the rest in the quest book.[3]
Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use Void Miners?
6 parts
Void Miners shows up in three quest chapters. The main one is "Voidminer", where you climb the whole miner and solar panel ladder. Rosarium also appears in "ProjectE Philo Stone", and the Ultimate Blocks are a late-game goal in "EndGame".[2][3][7]
The Voidminer chapter
This chapter sits in the Production group, as chapter 34 of 44 in the book, and has 37 quests. It opens with "Harnessing the Void" quest, a simple checkmark quest, and everything else hangs off it.[2]
- After the opener you get a quest in "Voidminer" (another checkmark) and six gathering quests for vanilla materials. a quest in "Voidminer" asks for 25 redstone and a quest in "Voidminer" for 100. a quest in "Voidminer" asks for 25 diamonds and a quest in "Voidminer" for 100. a quest in "Voidminer" wants 100 blaze powder and a quest in "Voidminer" wants 100 glowstone dust.[2]
- The untitled checkmark leads into the storage upgrades, one after another: "Storage Upgrade T1" quest, then "Storage Upgrade T2" quest, then "Storage Upgrade T3" quest. Each one asks for the matching upgrade item (Storage Upgrade T1, Storage Upgrade T2 and Storage Upgrade T3).[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer" asks for 100 Rubetine. It comes after the diamond, blaze powder and redstone gathering quests.[2]
- "Rubetine Miner Tier 1" quest is your first miner build. It asks for a Rubetine Miner, 20 Rubetine Frame and 9 Glass Panel.[2]
The miner ladder
From the Rubetine miner, the miner quests form one straight line. Each quest asks for a miner plus a stack of frames, glass panels and null modifiers, and the null modifier count grows as you go up.[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer": an Aurantium Miner, 36 Aurantium Frame, 23 Glass Panel and 2 Null Modifier.[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer": a Citrinetine Miner, 36 Citrinetine Frame, 21 glass panels and 4 null modifiers.[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer" (the book gives it no title of its own): a Verdium Miner, 44 Verdium Frame, 39 glass panels and 6 null modifiers.[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer": an Azurine Miner, 48 Azurine Frame, 37 glass panels and 8 null modifiers.[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer": a Caerium Miner, 44 Caerium Frame, 35 glass panels and 10 null modifiers.[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer": an Amethystine Miner, 44 Amethystine Frame, 25 glass panels and 12 null modifiers.[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer" (also untitled in the book): a Rosarium Miner, 60 Rosarium Frame, 30 glass panels and 16 null modifiers.[2]
- a quest in "Voidminer": the Ultimate Miner, which closes the ladder.[2]
Modifiers
"Optimizing the Void" quest is a checkmark quest that unlocks after the Aurantium miner quest. Three modifier quests follow it: "Item Modifier" quest (Rubetine Item Modifier), "Energy Modifier" quest (Rubetine Energy Modifier) and "Speed Modifier" quest (Rubetine Speed Modifier).[2]
The solar panel ladder
A second line of quests runs alongside the miners. It starts with a quest in "Voidminer", which asks for 100 Solar Rubetine and comes after the diamond, redstone and glowstone gathering quests. Then the panels go up in order: a quest in "Voidminer", then a quest in "Voidminer".[2]
After the Aurantium panel the line splits. "Solar Weather Modifier" quest asks for the Solar Rubetine Weather Modifier and "Solar Efficiency Modifier" quest asks for the Solar Rubetine Efficiency Modifier. The panels themselves carry on through a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer", a quest in "Voidminer" and a quest in "Voidminer", and finish with a quest in "Voidminer" for the Solar Ultimate Panel.[2]
Rosarium in ProjectE Philo Stone
This chapter is in the Production group too (chapter 33 of 44, 113 quests). a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone" asks for 8 Rosarium, and a number of follow-up quests each ask for a single Rosarium. They are among the many quests that feed into a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone", which asks for the Philosopher's Stone.[3]
Ultimate Blocks in EndGame
In the Storyline group's "EndGame" chapter (chapter 7 of 44), "Void Miners Ultimate Blocks" quest asks for both the Solar Ultimate Block and the Ultimate Block. It comes after an untitled checkmark quest, and it is one of the quests that must be done before a quest in "EndGame", the Creative ME Item Cell quest at the end of the chapter.[7]

Everything for Void Miners is set in config/void-miners.json5. The file shows only the values this pack uses, not the mod defaults, so the sources here can't tell you which of them the pack changed. What follows is exactly how the pack has it set.[5]
Switches the pack leaves off
- ALLOW_NO_ENERGY_MINERS is false in this pack.[5]
- ALLOW_NO_ENERGY_SOLAR_PANELS is false in this pack.[5]
- ALLOW_TICK_ACCELERATION_MULTIBLOCKS is false in this pack.[5]
- COLOR_BLIND_PERCENT is false in this pack.[5]
Dimensions
Miners have a dimension filter. MINER_DIMENSION_SETTINGS.enabled is true, MINER_DIMENSION_SETTINGS.defaultAllow is false, and MINER_DIMENSION_SETTINGS.globalAllow lists the Overworld, the Nether and the End. MINER_DIMENSION_SETTINGS.globalBlock is empty. So in this pack those vanilla dimensions are on the allow list, and anything else is not on it. Check that list if you run miners in a modded dimension.[5]
Solar panels are the other way round. SOLAR_DIMENSION_SETTINGS.enabled is false and SOLAR_DIMENSION_SETTINGS.defaultAllow is true, with both the allow and block lists empty.[5]
Upgrade slots
UPGRADE_T1_SLOTS is 3, UPGRADE_T2_SLOTS is 9 and UPGRADE_T3_SLOTS is 27.[5]
Miner tiers
Each miner tier has its own energy use per tick, duration and energy storage. The tiers run from Rubetine up to Ultimate.[5]
- Rubetine: MINER_CONFIGS.rubetine.energyTick is 3,000, MINER_CONFIGS.rubetine.duration is 1,000 and MINER_CONFIGS.rubetine.energyStorage is 10,000,000.[5]
- Ultimate: MINER_CONFIGS.ultimate.energyTick is 7,000, MINER_CONFIGS.ultimate.duration is 200 and MINER_CONFIGS.ultimate.energyStorage is 2,147,483,647.[5]
Every miner tier also has energy, item and speed modifier setups. At Rubetine, the energy modifier cuts consumption by 15%. The item modifier gives +50% items for +50% consumption, and the speed modifier gives +10% speed for +10% consumption. At Ultimate, the energy modifier is -35% consumption. The item modifier is +150% items for +100% consumption, and the speed modifier is +30% faster for +30% consumption.[5]
Solar panel tiers
Solar panels use the same tier names. SOLAR_PANEL_CONFIGS.rubetine.energyGeneration is 512 at Rubetine, SOLAR_PANEL_CONFIGS.rosarium.energyGeneration is 8,388,608 at Rosarium, and SOLAR_PANEL_CONFIGS.ultimate.energyGeneration is 203,685,472 at Ultimate.[5]
The weather resistance modifier is SOLAR_PANEL_CONFIGS.rubetine.modifiers.weather_resistance.weatherResistance at Rubetine and SOLAR_PANEL_CONFIGS.ultimate.modifiers.weather_resistance.weatherResistance at Ultimate.[5]
Performance timings
- MINER_CHECK_INTERVAL_TICKS is 10 and MINER_CACHE_TTL_TICKS is 200.[5]
- SOLAR_CHECK_INTERVAL_TICKS is 20 and SOLAR_CACHE_TTL_TICKS is 200.[5]
- MINER_PROGRESS_LOOKAHEAD is 5.[5]
