Start with the EnderIO capacitors
Before any custom tier, finish the vanilla EnderIO line in the quest book: a quest in "EnderIO", then a quest in "EnderIO", then a quest in "EnderIO". The mod's own guide counts these as levels 1, 2 and 3, so the custom tiers pick up from there.[3][5]
Step 1: Ender Capacitor
The quest book puts Ender Capacitor right after the Octadic Capacitor quest. The pack's config sets it to level 4, so it is the first real step up. The recipe was added by the pack.[5][6][7]

How level works
Level is a power multiplier. In the mod's own guide the scale starts at 1 for Basic, 2 for Double Layer and 3 for Octadic, so anything from 4 up is a new tier beyond Octadic.[2][3]
This pack defines its capacitors in capacitor. Here is what is set there:[7]

- Cobalt Capacitor: level 6, no glow.[6][7]
- Precision Capacitor: level 7.25, no glow.[6][7]

The pack adds its own recipes, and each tier is built from the one below it. The Ender Capacitor needs EnderIO Octadic Capacitors, the Cobalt Capacitor needs an Ender Capacitor, the Precision Capacitor needs Cobalt Capacitors, and the Fast Capacitor needs Precision Capacitors.[6]

The top step is different. The Ultimate Capacitor isn't made at a normal crafting table. The pack adds it as an ifeu:precision_shaped recipe, and it uses Fast Capacitors.[6][8]
Where these capacitors get used
The capacitors also work as crafting ingredients in endgame recipes. The Fast and Precision Capacitors both go into the Rosarium Miner (Rosarium Miner) and the solar Rosarium Panel (Solar Rosarium Panel) recipes.[9]
The Ultimate Capacitor is one of the ingredients in the Creative Vending Upgrade (Creative Vending Upgrade), which is crafted on an Extended Crafting table.[10]
Adding your own tiers
There are two ways to add capacitors. With the config, you edit the TOML file and restart the game. Each entry has an id (lowercase with underscores), a display name, a level, a glow flag (true or false) and a hex color. The config can only tint the base texture.[2][3]
With KubeJS you can use completely custom textures. In a startup script you create an item of type custom_capacitors:capacitor, and you can chain these methods: displayName, level, glowing, texture, maxStackSize, rarity and fireResistant.[2][4]
How do you progress through EnderIO Custom Capacitors?
