What is Powah!?
2 parts
Powah! is a tech mod about generating, storing and moving Energy. This pack ships version 5.0.11.[1][2]
For generation you get Furnators, Magmators, Solar Panels, Thermo Generators and the Reactor multiblocks. For storage and transport there are the classic Energy Cells and Energy Cables. The mod also has an upgradable Ender Network, Player Transmitters and the Energizing crafting system.[1]
Where it sits in the quest book
The pack's quest book has a chapter called "Powah" in the group "Storage and Power".[3]
The chapter opens with "Start of the Powah Quest Line !" quest, which asks you to hand in Dielectric Paste. The quests after it ask you for the Wrench and the Basic Capacitor (Tiny). The Starter-tier machine quests come after the tiny capacitor quest.[3]
The tier ladder
After the Starter tier, the quest book asks for one item after another, and each of those quests comes before its own set of machine quests:[3]
- The Basic Capacitor quest follows the tiny capacitor quest. It leads to the Basic machine quests and to the Energizing Orb quest.[3]
- The Energized Steel quest follows the Energizing Orb and leads to the Hardened machine quests.[3]
- The Blazing Crystal quest follows Energized Steel and leads to the Blazing machine quests.[3]
- The Niotic Crystal quest follows the Blazing Crystal and leads to the Niotic machine quests.[3]
- The Spirited Crystal quest follows the Niotic Crystal and leads to the Spirited machine quests.[3]
- The Nitro Crystal quest follows the Spirited Crystal and leads to the Nitro machine quests.[3]
How do you get started with Powah!?
6 parts
Powah! is all about generating, storing and moving energy, and the pack's quest book gives you a clear ladder to climb. The chapter is called "Powah" and sits in the "Storage and Power" group, chapter 22 of 44. Here is the order I'd follow.[1][3]
First: Dielectric Paste
The chapter opens with "Start of the Powah Quest Line !" quest, which asks for Dielectric Paste. It turns up in many Powah! recipes, so make it first. One craft of this recipe gives you 24.[3][4]

Second: the Manual and the Wrench
Right after that quest comes a quest in "Powah", which asks for the Wrench. The mod's own page points players to the Manual for a good explanation of its content, so grab the Manual (Powah!) too.[1][3][4]
Third: Capacitors
The book labels a quest in "Powah" as Tier 0 and a quest in "Powah" as Tier 1. In the recipes, though, the tiny one is made from the bigger one, so craft the Basic Capacitor first. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's version.[3][4]

One Basic Capacitor turns into 2 Basic Capacitor (Tiny).[4]
Fourth: Starter-tier machines
In the book, these starter tier quests all come after the tiny capacitor quest:[3]
- Furnator (Starter)[3]
- Magmator (Starter)[3]
- Solar Panel (Starter)[3]
- Thermo Generator (Starter)[3]
- Energy Cell (Starter)[3]
- Battery (Starter)[3]
- Ender Cell (Starter)[3]
- Ender Gate (Starter)[3]
- Energizing Rod (Starter)[3]
- Reactor (Starter)[3]
There is also an Energy Cable (Starter) quest, and the pack changed that cable recipe from the mod's version.[3][4]

In this pack the starter Furnator, Solar Panel and Thermo Generator each have a generation rate of 20, and a starter Energy Cell holds 1,000,000. These come from generators.furnators.generation_rates.starter, generators.solar_panels.generation_rates.starter, generators.thermo_generators.generation_rates.starter and devices.energy_cells.capacities.starter.[5]
Fifth: The Energizing Orb
The Basic Capacitor quest leads to a quest titled "Energizing!", which asks you to make the Energizing Orb (see a quest in "Powah"). The book also leaves a checkmark note after it that says "Easiest with AE2".[3][4]

Next comes a quest in "Powah" (Tier 3) for the Blazing Crystal, which can also be made by energizing a blaze rod.[3][4]
After that the book continues with a quest in "Powah" for the Niotic Crystal (labelled Tier 4), a quest in "Powah" for the Spirited Crystal (Tier 5) and a quest in "Powah" for the Nitro Crystal (Tier 6). The generator, cell and cable quests for each tier come after its crystal quest.[3][4]
How does Powah! work?
7 parts
Powah! is a tech mod about generating, storing and moving energy. It gives you Furnators, Magmators, Solar Panels, Thermo Generators and the Reactor multiblocks to make power. For storage and transport it adds Energy Cells and Energy Cables, and it also has the Ender Network, Player Transmitters and its own Energizing crafting system.[1]
Tiers
Almost every machine comes in Starter, Basic, Hardened, Blazing, Niotic, Spirited and Nitro versions. In this pack's config the numbers climb in that order, so Starter is the weakest and Nitro the strongest.[5][6]
Storage and cables
- Energy Cells: the Starter cell holds 1,000,000 (devices.energy_cells.capacities.starter) and moves 1,000 (devices.energy_cells.transfer_rates.starter). The Nitro cell holds 2,000,000,000 and moves 2,000,000. There is also a Creative Energy Cell.[5][6]
- Energy Cables: the transfer rate runs from 500 on Starter (devices.cables.transfer_rates.starter) up to 1,000,000 on Nitro (devices.cables.transfer_rates.nitro). A cable is limited by its own tier, so match the cable to the machines on either end.[5]
- Batteries (the items) use the same capacity and transfer numbers as the cells: Starter is 1,000,000 and 1,000, Nitro is 2,000,000,000 and 2,000,000.[5]
The pack changed two early recipes. Basic cables and the Basic Battery are crafted differently from the mod's own version.[4]

Generators
- Furnators burn fuel, and the pack sets general.energy_per_fuel_tick to 30 energy per fuel tick. Their generation rate goes from 20 on Starter to 40,000 on Nitro.[5]
- Magmators have the same generation rates as Furnators, from 20 on Starter to 40,000 on Nitro. The pack's config lists lava at 10,000 and allthemodium soul lava at 25,000 as magmatic fluids (general.magmatic_fluids.minecraft:lava, general.magmatic_fluids.allthemodium:soul_lava).[5]
- Solar Panels generate 20 on Starter, 60 on Basic, 100 on Hardened, 200 on Blazing, 400 on Niotic, 800 on Spirited and 2,000 on Nitro.[5]
- Thermo Generators use the same generation rates as Solar Panels. The pack's config gives heat values to lava (1,000), Magma Blocks (800), the Block Of Blazing Crystal (2,800) and Avaritia's infinity block (250,000). It lists water as a coolant fluid with a value of 1. The recipe viewer has Heat Sources, Coolants and Solid Coolants pages for these.[5][6]
- Reactors are the multiblock generators. They go from 250 on Starter to 500,000 on Nitro, with capacities from 250,000 to 500,000,000. A Reactor stops when it is full and starts again when it has less than 70% of its energy.[1][5][6]
Energizing
Energizing is Powah!'s own crafting system. The Energizing Orb holds the ingredients, and Energizing Rods feed it energy. The pack sets general.energizing_range to 4 and general.energizing_energy_ratio to 1. Rod capacity runs from 10,000 on Starter to 2,000,000,000 on Nitro, and rod transfer from 100 on Starter to 1,000,000,000 on Nitro.[1][5][6]

The pack adds a lot of its own energizing recipes, and their cost scales with batch size. Raw uraninite into Uraninite costs 40,000 energy for 2 results and 120,000 for 6. Dry Ice costs 20,000 for 2 and 30,000 for 3. Charged certus quartz costs 40,000 for 2 and 120,000 for 6. The pack's Frost Crystal and Lava Crystal recipes (from ArmorPlus) each cost 50,000.[7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]
The pack also adds its own energizing recipes for the Block Of Energized Steel and the Block Of Uraninite. The Ender Core is an energizing recipe from the mod itself.[4]

Ender Network
Ender Cells and Ender Gates are the upgradable network blocks. Each tier gets more channels in this pack: 1 on Starter, 2 on Basic, 3 on Hardened, 5 on Blazing, 7 on Niotic, 9 on Spirited and 12 on Nitro. Their transfer rates climb from 2,000 on Starter to 200,000,000 on Nitro.[1][5][6]
You link blocks with the Wrench. It tells you "Started linking ...", then "Linking done!" or "Out of range!!". The Binding Card is bound with a right click. The Blank Card is the base for cards.[4][6]

Player Transmitters, hoppers and dischargers
Player Transmitters, Energy Hoppers and Energy Dischargers all have capacity and transfer rate settings in the config, using the same tier numbers as Energy Cells (1,000,000 on Starter up to 2,000,000,000 on Nitro). Transmitters and hoppers also have a charging rate, from 500 on Starter to 1,000,000 on Nitro. The in-game screen shows this as Charging Speed in FE/t.[5][6]
Gadget switches
- general.dimensional_binding_card is on. Right click an Enderman or Endermite with a Binding Card to get a Dimensional Binding Card.[5][6]
- general.lens_of_ender is on. Use a Photoelectric Pane on an Enderman or Endermite to get the Lens Of Ender.[5][6]
- general.player_aerial_pearl is on. Use an Aerial Pearl on a Zombie or Husk to get the Player Aerial Pearl.[5][6]

Unverified The sources do not explain exactly how the energizing range and energy ratio, the heat values, the coolant value and the magmatic fluid values are applied, or what shape a Reactor multiblock has. The pack only gives the numbers.
How do you progress through Powah!?
4 parts
In this pack, Powah! progression follows the "Powah" chapter of the quest book (group "Storage and Power", chapter 22 of 44, 96 quests). It climbs through seven machine tiers: Starter, Basic, Hardened, Blazing, Niotic, Spirited and Nitro. Each tier is gated by the next material in the line.[3]
Starting out: Tier 0 and Tier 1
The line opens with "Start of the Powah Quest Line !" quest, which asks for Dielectric Paste. a quest in "Powah" comes after it, then a quest in "Powah", labelled Tier 0, which asks for the Basic Capacitor (Tiny).[3]
The whole Starter set hangs off that Tier 0 quest: Thermo Generator, Solar Panel, Furnator, Magmator, Energy Cell, Ender Cell, Ender Gate, Energy Cable, Energizing Rod, Battery, Reactor and the Binding Card with the Player Transmitter. a quest in "Powah" is also after it and is labelled Tier 1.[3]
The pack changed the recipe for the Basic Capacitor, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. The tiny version is crafted from a full one.[4]

Tiers 2 to 6: the material ladder
- Tier 2: a quest in "Powah" comes after the Energizing Orb quest and asks for Energized Steel. The Hardened machine quests come after it.[3]
- Tier 3: a quest in "Powah" comes after Energized Steel. The Blazing machine quests follow it.[3]
- Tier 4: a quest in "Powah" comes after Blazing Crystal. The Niotic machine quests follow it.[3]
- Tier 5: a quest in "Powah" comes after Niotic Crystal. The Spirited machine quests follow it.[3]
- Tier 6: a quest in "Powah" comes after Spirited Crystal. The Nitro machine quests follow it.[3]
The pack changed Energized Steel, Niotic Crystal and Spirited Crystal, so check these recipes rather than trusting the base mod. The Blazing Crystal and Nitro Crystal energizing recipes are the mod's own and unchanged.[4]

The pack also adds energizing recipes for Block Of Energized Steel, Block Of Blazing Crystal, Block Of Niotic Crystal and Block Of Nitro Crystal. The Blazing, Niotic and Nitro crystal blocks can be crafted back into 9 crystals each.[4]
Mystical Agriculture essence recipes can also give you Energized Steel and the Blazing, Niotic and Spirited Crystals. Nitro Crystal has an essence recipe too, from Mystical Agradditions.[4]
The Nitro Crystal also appears in the "AllTheModium" chapter (group "Production"), after "Allthemodium Intro". The Allthemodium Ingot quest comes after it, together with several other quests.[15]
Batteries and reactors
Batteries chain upward: each battery from Basic to Spirited is crafted from the battery one tier below. The pack changed the recipe for Battery (Basic).[4]

Battery (Nitro) is different in this pack. A shapeless recipe added by the pack makes it from kubejs:empty_battery_nitro, and a second recipe turns it back into the empty one.[4][16]
Added by the pack
Every tier's Reactor quest asks for 36 reactors, not just one. The "Legendary Challenges" chapter then has "Nitro Grid Overload", which asks for 64 Reactor (Nitro).[3][17]
The end of the line
Energy Cell (Creative) has its own quest in the "EndGame" chapter, after "The Beginning of the End". The pack added its recipe, and it is crafted in an Extended Crafting table. That recipe uses Nitro-tier Powah! items together with items from other mods, so it is a true endgame goal.[4][18]

How does Powah! work with other mods?
6 parts
Powah's crystals and Nitro-tier parts don't stay inside the mod. In this pack they turn up as ingredients in recipes from Mystical Agriculture, Extended Crafting, AE2 and several others, and the Nitro tier shows up the most.[4]
Mystical Agriculture
Mystical Agriculture essence turns straight into Powah crystals. Blazing Crystal Essence gives you 3× Blazing Crystal, and a Nether Star plus Nitro Crystal Essence gives you 12× Nitro Crystal. Both are plain mod recipes.[4]

- The Ultimate Ingot is a pack-added shapeless table recipe that makes 2× from a huge pile of ingots from many mods. Energized Steel is one of them.[4]
- The Ultimate Gem is also pack-added and makes 12×. It takes Blazing Crystal, Niotic Crystal, Nitro Crystal and Spirited Crystal along with gems from lots of other mods.[4]
- Upgrade: Yondu Arrow from Just Dire Things needs 2× Block Of Nitro Crystal in a pack-added crafting recipe.[4]
- The pack-added recipe for the fire attuned controller from the mm mod uses a Nitro Crystal.[4]
Creative power and AE2
The pack added a recipe for Energy Cell (Creative) at an Extended Crafting table. It wants the Nitro version of almost every Powah machine, plus parts from AppFlux, Avaritia and Evolved Mekanism.[4]

A Nether Star can also be made in a reaction chamber from 2× Prediction items from Hostile Neural Networks and a Nitro Crystal. The pack added that recipe.[4]
Energizing recipes with other mods' items
The pack ships its own Powah energizing data files for items from other mods. Each one lists its energy cost:[7][8][9][10]
- Frost Crystal costs 50,000 energy.[7]
- Lava Crystal costs 50,000 energy.[8]
- Charged Certus Quartz Crystal is made from Certus Quartz Crystal in batches. Two crystals cost 40,000 energy, and six cost 120,000. These recipes only load when AE2 is installed.[9][10]
Nitro batteries
In the quest book
The Powah chapter sits in the group Storage and Power, as chapter 22 of 44. The tiers run from Tier 0 with a quest in "Powah" up to Tier 5 with a quest in "Powah". The crystals that other mods ask for come along the way: a quest in "Powah" at Tier 3 and a quest in "Powah" at Tier 4. The chapter has 96 quests, and 32 of them are in the quest book but not covered here.[3]
Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use Powah!?
2 parts
Powah! has its own chapter in the pack's quest book, called "Powah", in the group "Storage and Power". A few Powah items also turn up in other chapters, covered at the end.[3]
The Powah chapter, in order
The chapter is a tier ladder. Each tier has a milestone quest, and the quests for that tier's machines hang off it. Almost every quest just asks you to get the item.[3]
- The chapter opens with "Start of the Powah Quest Line !" quest, which asks you to hand in Dielectric Paste. There is also a checkmark quest, a quest in "Powah", with the message "Hi.".[3]
- Two quests come after the opener. a quest in "Powah" asks for the Wrench. a quest in "Powah" is labelled Tier 0 and asks for the Basic Capacitor (Tiny).[3]
- The Tier 0 capacitor quest leads to the whole Starter set. The quests ask for the Starter versions of the Thermo Generator (a quest in "Powah"), Solar Panel (a quest in "Powah"), Furnator (a quest in "Powah"), Magmator (a quest in "Powah") and Reactor (a quest in "Powah"). Storage and transfer quests sit alongside them, for the Energy Cell (a quest in "Powah"), Battery (a quest in "Powah"), Ender Cell (a quest in "Powah"), Ender Gate (a quest in "Powah"), Energy Cable (a quest in "Powah") and Energizing Rod (a quest in "Powah"). a quest in "Powah" asks for the Player Transmitter (Starter) together with the Binding Card.[3]
- a quest in "Powah" is labelled Tier 1 and asks for the Basic Capacitor. It comes after the Tier 0 capacitor quest and leads to the Basic set of quests, plus a quest in "Powah", which asks for the Energizing Orb.[3]
- After the orb there is a checkmark quest, a quest in "Powah", with the note "Easiest with AE2". Then a quest in "Powah", labelled Tier 2, asks for Energized Steel. The Hardened set of quests follows it.[3]
- a quest in "Powah" is labelled Tier 3 and asks for the Blazing Crystal. It comes after the Energized Steel quest and leads to the Blazing set.[3]
- a quest in "Powah" is labelled Tier 4 and asks for the Niotic Crystal. It comes after the Blazing Crystal quest and leads to the Niotic set.[3]
- a quest in "Powah" is labelled Tier 5 and asks for the Spirited Crystal. It comes after the Niotic Crystal quest and leads to the Spirited set.[3]
- a quest in "Powah" is labelled Tier 6 and asks for the Nitro Crystal. It comes after the Spirited Crystal quest and leads to the Nitro set.[3]
Powah items in other chapters
- EndGame (group "Storyline"): a quest in "EndGame" asks for the Energizing Orb and has no prerequisite. a quest in "EndGame" (Infinity 10) comes after it and after Infinity 9.[18]
- EndGame also has a quest in "EndGame", which asks for the Energy Cell (Creative). It comes after "The Beginning of the End" quest, and a quest in "EndGame" (Creative ME Item Cell) comes after it.[18]
- AllTheModium (group "Production"): a quest in "AllTheModium" asks for the Nitro Crystal and comes after "Allthemodium Intro" quest. a quest in "AllTheModium" (Allthemodium Ingot) comes after it.[15]
- Extended Crafting (group "Production"): a quest in "Extended Crafting" asks for Energized Steel. It is one of the many ingot quests listed before "The one and only" quest (The one and only, the Ultimate Ingot).[19]
- Legendary Challenges (group "Challenges"): "Nitro Grid Overload" quest (Nitro Grid Overload) asks for 64 of the Reactor (Nitro), with the description "Stage sixty-four nitro reactors at once."[17]
Which Powah! config options matter?
5 parts
Powah! keeps all its settings in one file, config/powah.json5. It is split into general settings, worldgen, devices (batteries, cables, Ender Cells and so on) and generators. Here is what this pack sets for the options you are most likely to touch.[5]
General settings
- general.energy_per_fuel_tick is 30. That is the energy produced per fuel tick in the Furnator.[5]
- general.energizing_range is 4 and general.energizing_energy_ratio is 1.[5]
- general.dimensional_binding_card, general.lens_of_ender and general.player_aerial_pearl are all true. That means the right-click item upgrades are enabled: Enderman or Endermite for the first two, Zombie or Husk for the pearl.[5]
Heat and magmatic fluids
The heat block values in this pack are: general.heat_blocks.minecraft:magma_block at 800, general.heat_blocks.minecraft:lava at 1,000, general.heat_blocks.powah:blazing_crystal_block at 2,800 and general.heat_blocks.avaritia:infinity at 250,000. The coolant entry general.coolant_fluids.minecraft:water is set to 1.[5]
For magmatic fluids, general.magmatic_fluids.minecraft:lava is 10,000, and the pack also lists general.magmatic_fluids.allthemodium:soul_lava at 25,000.[5]
Generator output by tier
Each generator has a generation rate per tier, from starter up to nitro. Furnators go 20, 80, 200, 800, 2,000, 8,000 and 40,000 in the order starter, basic, hardened, blazing, niotic, spirited, nitro (see generators.furnators.generation_rates.starter and generators.furnators.generation_rates.nitro). Solar Panels run 20, 60, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 2,000 in the same order (see generators.solar_panels.generation_rates.starter and generators.solar_panels.generation_rates.nitro). Thermo Generators use the same numbers as Solar Panels.[5]
Reactors scale much higher: generators.reactors.generation_rates.starter is 250 and generators.reactors.generation_rates.nitro is 500,000.[5]
Storage and transfer
Energy Cells go from 1,000,000 capacity at starter (devices.energy_cells.capacities.starter) to 2,000,000,000 at nitro (devices.energy_cells.capacities.nitro). Their transfer rate goes from 1,000 to 2,000,000 (devices.energy_cells.transfer_rates.starter and devices.energy_cells.transfer_rates.nitro). Cables move 500 at starter up to 1,000,000 at nitro (devices.cables.transfer_rates.starter and devices.cables.transfer_rates.nitro).[5]
Ender Cells and Ender Gates give 1 channel at starter and 12 at nitro (devices.ender_cells.channels.starter and devices.ender_cells.channels.nitro).[5]
World generation
Worldgen is on, since worldgen.disable_all is false. Veins per chunk: worldgen.uraninite_veins_per_chunk is 6, worldgen.poor_uraninite_veins_per_chunk is 8, worldgen.dense_uraninite_veins_per_chunk is 3 and worldgen.dry_ice_veins_per_chunk is 9.[5]
Unverified The sources don't show the mod's default values, so I can't say which of these numbers the pack changed from the defaults.
What changed in Powah! between versions?
1 part
Powah! 5.0.11 is the version in this pack release. It was already in the pack by Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.45.4 or earlier, and it is still the version in 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2.[2]
Powah! 5.0.11
The only change in this release is a performance optimization. The redstone check now skips the signal check when the redstone mode is set to IGNORE. You won't see a gameplay difference, it just means a little less work for the game.[20]
I don't have any pack changelog entries for this mod, so I can't say what changed for Powah! between individual pack releases beyond what's above.[2]
