Which Ex Deorum config options matter?
5 parts
Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide
Ex Deorum's settings are split across three files in this pack. Most of what affects your gameplay lives in the server file, so we'll start there.[1][2][3]
Starting items and world type
- server.starting_watering_can is false in this pack, so you don't start a void world with a full wooden watering can. The mod page describes the wooden watering can being handed out at the start of the world, so this is a pack change.[1][4]
- server.starting_torch is true, so you still start a void world with a torch.[1]
- common.set_void_world_as_default is false, so the Void World type is not preselected on the world creation screen. common.void_nether_generation and common.void_end_generation are also both false, so the Nether and End are not turned into void worlds.[2]
- server.use_biome_appropriate_tree is false, so the spawn tree is always an oak. server.default_spawn_tree_feature is set to minecraft:oak_tree_bees_005.[1]
Sieves and automation
server.automated_sieves is false, so machines and fake players can't interact with the normal Sieve. The config notes that the intended way to automate is the Mechanical Sieve. Because of that, server.nerf_automated_sieves (true) does nothing here.[1]
- server.mechanical_sieve_energy_consumption is 40 FE/t, and server.mechanical_sieve_energy_storage is 40,000 FE.[1]
- server.mechanical_hammer_energy_consumption is 20 FE/t, and server.mechanical_hammer_energy_storage is 40,000 FE.[1]
- Sieving by hand: server.sieve_interval is 1 tick between sifts. server.simultaneous_sieve_usage and server.simultaneous_compressed_sieve_usage are both true, and server.simultaneous_sieve_range is 2, which means up to 5x5 sieves at once.[1]
- server.limit_moss_sieve_drops is true, so Moss Block sieve drops are restricted to 1-2 items.[1]
Barrels, crucibles and Witch Water
- server.barrel_progress_step is 0.004, the composting progress added each tick.[1]
- server.barrels_collect_rain_water and server.crucibles_collect_rain_water are both true, so exposed barrels and wooden crucibles fill up in the rain. server.allow_water_bottle_transfer is true too, so glass bottles can move water between crucibles and barrels.[1]
- server.allow_witch_water_entity_conversion is true, so mobs that step into Witch Water can be converted, for example Skeleton to Wither Skeleton.[1]
- Witch Water generators: server.witch_water_netherrack_generator is true, so lava flowing into Witch Water forms netherrack. server.witch_water_dirt_generator is false, so there is no dirt version.[1]
Preferred ores
Ex Deorum recipes that craft into an ore use whichever item the common config prefers. The pack points several of them at specific mods: lead, nickel, silver and tin use Thermal (common.preferred_tag_items.preferred_lead_ore, common.preferred_tag_items.preferred_nickel_ore, common.preferred_tag_items.preferred_silver_ore, common.preferred_tag_items.preferred_tin_ore). Osmium and uranium use Mekanism (common.preferred_tag_items.preferred_osmium_ore, common.preferred_tag_items.preferred_uranium_ore).[2]
Aluminum, cobalt, iridium, platinum and zinc use items from Common Ore Library. Boron, lithium, magnesium and thorium are left as air, which means the default preference, chosen alphabetically by mod name.[2]
Client options
client.use_fast_infested_leaves is false, so infested leaves use the normal renderer. If you get FPS drops around lots of infested trees, this is the option to switch on. client.rainbow_compost_during_june is true, so compost in barrels shows up rainbow colored in June.[3]
Unverified Apart from the starting watering can, the sources don't show which of these values differ from the mod's own defaults.
