What is Ender Dragon Loot 1.21.1?
Ender Dragon Loot is part of this pack. The pack's mod list shows version 1.0.0 of the mod, listed as Ender Dragon Loot 1.21.1, shipped in the file ender_dragon_loot-1.20.1.jar. It was first included in version 0.0.45.4 of the pack or earlier, so it has been around for a while.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what Ender Dragon Loot actually does, such as which drops it adds or changes. This page won't guess at its features. Check the mod in game to see what it changes.
How do you get started with Ender Dragon Loot 1.21.1?
4 parts
Getting started with this mod is simple, because nearly everything runs through the Dragon Smithing Template and the Dragon Scale. In this pack, every dragon tool and armor upgrade needs a template and a scale, and each one is done at a smithing table on top of the matching netherite item.[2]
Look after your template
This pack adds its own crafting recipe that makes 2 templates per craft, and it uses a template as one of its ingredients. Since every upgrade needs a template, keep a spare one around and don't spend your templates carelessly.[2]

Added by the pack. One craft makes 2 templates.
Upgrade your tools
The sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel and hoe are each made with a smithing table upgrade from the matching netherite tool. The Dragon Pickaxe recipe is a good example of how they work.[2]
The Dragon Hoe is the odd one out. The pack changed its recipe, so follow this version rather than relying on the mod's defaults.[2]
Changed by the pack.
The Dragon Sword, Dragon Axe and Dragon Shovel follow the same smithing pattern, each with its own upgrade recipe.[2]
Upgrade your armor
The Dragon Armor Helmet, Dragon Armor Body, Dragon Armor Leggings and Dragon Armor Boots all use the same smithing method. Here is the body piece as an example.[2]
Make a shard, then the paxel
A Dragon Shard is cut from a Dragon Scale in a stonecutter.[2]
The Dragon Paxel is crafted from your finished dragon tools together with a shard, so finish those tools and make a shard first.[2]

How does Ender Dragon Loot 1.21.1 work?
4 parts
Good news: there is nothing to wire up here. The sources show no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item pipes for this mod. Everything runs through the smithing table, the crafting table and the stonecutter, so the mechanics are about how you get from netherite gear to dragon gear.[2]
The upgrade path
Every dragon tool, sword and armor piece is made by a smithing upgrade of the matching netherite piece. That covers the Dragon Sword, Dragon Pickaxe, Dragon Axe, Dragon Shovel, Dragon Hoe and the armor pieces, from Dragon Armor Helmet down to Dragon Armor Boots. Each upgrade uses the Dragon Smithing Template and a dragon scale.[2]
The axe upgrade. The pickaxe, shovel, sword and armor upgrades follow the same pattern.
The pack changes one of these. The hoe upgrade is marked as changed by the pack, and it asks for the Dragon Scale from another mod, Dragon Scale, instead of the one from this mod.[2]
This hoe upgrade is changed by the pack.
Templates in this pack
The pack adds its own crafting recipe for the template, which makes 2 templates per craft. It also uses the other mod's Dragon Scale.[2]

This template recipe is added by the pack.
Shards and the paxel
The Dragon Scale can be cut into a Dragon Shard at the stonecutter. The shard matters for the Dragon Paxel, which is crafted from the dragon axe, pickaxe and shovel plus a shard rather than from netherite.[2]
The shard is made at the stonecutter.

What the pack does with dragon gear
A pack script handles breaking the common ore library ores: aluminum, zinc, cobalt, platinum, iridium and tungsten. It sorts paxels into stone, iron and diamond tiers, and the dragon paxel is in the diamond tier. Aluminum and zinc need stone tier or better, cobalt needs iron tier, and platinum, iridium and tungsten need diamond tier. If your held tool meets the requirement, the script drops the raw ore for you. You always get 1, plus a random bonus of anywhere from 0 up to your Fortune level.[3]
The dragon gear also shows up as an ingredient in other pack recipes. The Dragon Smithing Template is one of the inputs for the pack's Fast Capacitor from Custom Capacitors. The dragon armor helmet is part of the pack's Infinity Helmet recipe. The dragon hoe is part of the Simulated Hydroponic Bed recipe, where it has to be undamaged.[4][5][6]
How do you progress through Ender Dragon Loot 1.21.1?
4 parts
The Ender Dragon Loot progression is a short ladder built on smithing upgrades. You start from netherite gear, turn it into dragon gear, and then combine the tools into one multi-tool. Below is what the pack's recipes show for each step.[2]
First step: scales, shards and templates
Everything starts with Dragon Scale. Cutting a scale in a stonecutter gives you a Dragon Shard, which you need later for the paxel.[2]
Every dragon upgrade also needs a Dragon Smithing Template. The pack adds its own crafting recipe for the template, and one craft makes 2 templates, so you can stock up for a full set of gear.[2]

Second step: dragon tools and armor
This step is a set of smithing upgrades. Each one takes a template, a scale and the matching netherite piece, and gives you the dragon version. You can make these pieces:[2]
- Dragon Sword[2]
- Dragon Pickaxe[2]
- Dragon Axe[2]
- Dragon Shovel[2]
- Dragon Hoe[2]
- Dragon Armor Helmet, Dragon Armor Body, Dragon Armor Leggings and Dragon Armor Boots[2]
The sword shows the pattern. The other tools and the armor pieces follow the same smithing shape with their own netherite piece.
The hoe is the odd one out. The pack changed its upgrade recipe so it asks for the Mystical Agradditions dragon scale (Dragon Scale) instead of the scale from this mod. The other upgrades still use the mod's own scale.[2]
Final step: the Dragon Paxel
The top of the ladder is the Dragon Paxel. You craft it from the finished dragon axe, pickaxe and shovel, plus a shard. So you need to finish those tools before you start on the paxel.[2]

Beyond this mod
Some pack recipes use these items as ingredients. The dragon template is one ingredient in the pack's recipe for the Fast Capacitor.[4]
The Dragon Armor Helmet is also one of the many ingredients in the Extended Crafting recipe for the Infinity Helmet.[5]
How does Ender Dragon Loot 1.21.1 work with other mods?
3 parts
Ender Dragon Loot plugs into other mods mostly through endgame recipes. Every connection below is a recipe the pack either added or changed, so don't assume the mod's default behaviour here.[2]
Dragon Scale from Mystical Agradditions
The pack adds a crafting recipe that duplicates the Dragon Smithing Template. You put one template in and get 2 back. The cross-mod part is Dragon Scale, which comes from Mystical Agradditions.[2]
Crafting Shaped

The same Dragon Scale shows up in the smithing upgrade for the Dragon Hoe. The pack changed this recipe, so check the version below rather than relying on the mod's default.[2]
Fast Capacitor
The pack adds a crafting recipe for Fast Capacitor that uses the Dragon Smithing Template alongside smithing templates from several other mods. Those include Cataclysm, Dimensional Pockets II, Allthemodium and Iglium. It also needs 3 Precision Capacitor.[2][4]

Endgame crafting
The Dragon Shard is used in the pack's Extended Crafting combination recipe for The Everlasting Guilty Pool. It needs 2 shards, mixed with items from Botania, Blood Magic, Draconic Evolution, Mystical Agradditions, Twilight Forest and more.[2]

Your Dragon tools and armor are also ingredients in Avaritia's Infinity gear. The pack changed these Extended Crafting table recipes, and each one asks for the matching Dragon item next to gear from many other mods:[2]
- Dragon Axe goes into Nature's Ruin.[2]
- Dragon Sword goes into Sword of the Cosmos.[2]
- Dragon Hoe goes into Eternal Fertility.[2]
- Dragon Armor Helmet goes into Infinity Helmet.[2][5]

The helmet is the one with the Dragon Armor Helmet in it.
The Dragon Hoe is also an ingredient in the pack's changed recipe for Simulated Hydroponic Bed. That recipe pulls in farming items from Industrial Foregoing, Mystical Agriculture, Cyclic and Botania.[2]
