What is XyCraft World?
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.13.3 guide
XyCraft World is part of the pack's mod list. This pack ships version 0.7.53 (the file xycraft_world-0.7.53.jar), and the mod has been in the pack since version 1.0.1 or earlier.[1]
I can't confirm from the available sources what the mod adds in this pack, so I'm not describing its features here. Nothing I have shows where the quest book places it, so I'm leaving out its chapter, group and neighbouring quests rather than guessing. I also have no pack-specific recipes or config values for it.[1]
How do you get started with XyCraft World?
5 parts
A lot of XyCraft World's recipes in this pack run on aluminum, so that is the material to get to know first. The steps below follow the recipes the pack actually has, in a sensible order for a fresh world.[2]
Start with torches
The mod adds an Aluminum Torch and a Copper Torch. Each one has a second recipe that works from the raw material, so you can make them before you have smelted anything.[2]

Make a Reinforced Glass Viewer
The Reinforced Glass Viewer is the base for the tougher glass in this mod. The Immortal Glass Viewer is crafted from it, so it is worth having one on hand.[2][3]

Build with aluminum
Once you have aluminum ingots, you can make Aluminum Bricks. Those can then be crafted into Aluminum Tiles, a second building block.[2]

Compact your materials
The mod has packing recipes to keep your inventory tidy. Nuggets pack into an Aluminum Ingot, ingots pack into Aluminum Storage, and raw aluminum packs into a Block of Raw Aluminum. Xychorium gems also have matching storage blocks in blue, dark, green, light and red.[2]

Colored upgrades for later
When you find Xychorium gems, you can make colored cloud variants of the bricks, such as Blue Aluminum Bricks. The colors are blue, dark, green, light and red. The Blue Immortal Aluminum family comes in those same colors.[2]

How does XyCraft World work?
3 parts
Here's the honest picture for this pack: the sources I have don't explain XyCraft World's machines, multiblocks, power use or automation. What they do show is a few pieces of its aluminum material chain and its crafting-grid compacting recipes, so that's what this section covers.[2][3]
Aluminum slurries
The mod's text entries list Clean Aluminum Slurry and Dirty Aluminum Slurry as chemicals, and there is also a block called the Reinforced Glass Viewer. The slurry names suggest aluminum goes through a processing stage, but the sources here don't show how the slurries are made, which machine handles them, or how they move around.[3]
Compacting by hand
Several of the mod's storage items are made in a normal crafting grid with what the mod calls packing recipes. Nuggets pack into an Aluminum Ingot, and ingots pack into Aluminum Storage.[2]

Bricks, tiles and colors

The colored variants come in blue, dark, green, light and red. A colored brick can be crafted either from scratch or by upgrading plain Aluminum Bricks, and both routes also use a Xychorium gem and a color. Colored tiles are then crafted from the matching colored bricks. Blue is shown here as the example.[2]

How do you progress through XyCraft World?
4 parts
This pack's recipes are the best map for this mod, so here is how the crafting chains stack up. Everything builds on aluminum, the colored Xychorium gems and the glass viewer upgrades.[2]
The aluminum line
Aluminum is the backbone of the mod. You can pack Raw Aluminum into Block of Raw Aluminum, and nuggets and ingots pack up into Aluminum Ingot and Aluminum Storage. Ingots then turn into Aluminum Bricks, and those bricks become Aluminum Tiles.[2]

Torches follow the same metal idea. Copper Torch and Aluminum Torch can each be crafted from either the ingot or the raw version of their metal.[2]
Colored Xychorium
Xychorium gems come in these colors: Blue Xychorium Gem, Dark Xychorium Gem, Green Xychorium Gem, Light Xychorium Gem and Red Xychorium Gem. Each color packs into its own storage block, for example Blue Xychorium Gem Storage.[2]
Gems also give you colored building blocks. A gem of one color crafts into that color's inverted bricks, such as Blue Inverted Bricks, and the bricks craft into inverted tiles, such as Blue Inverted Tiles.[2]

Recipe id: xycraft:shaped/inverted_bricks_cloud_blue
Aluminum and Xychorium meet in the colored aluminum bricks, like Blue Aluminum Bricks. Each color has a recipe that starts from an aluminum ingot and another that starts from plain Aluminum Bricks. The colored bricks then craft into colored tiles, like Blue Aluminum Tiles.[2]

Immortal blocks
The Immortal blocks come in stone and aluminum versions, each in the same colors as the gems, for example Blue Immortal Stone and Blue Immortal Aluminum. Their recipes use aluminum ingots, so the aluminum line comes first.[2]

The glass viewer ladder
Glass viewers have their own upgrade path. Reinforced Glass Viewer is the first step, and Immortal Glass Viewer is crafted from it, so the Reinforced version is a required stepping stone.[2]

The side branches are optional. Glowing Glass Viewer, RGB Viewer and the phantom variants, such as Phantom Glass Viewer and Dark Phantom Glass Viewer, all have their own recipes.[2]
How does XyCraft World work with other mods?
4 parts
In this pack, XyCraft World connects to other mods through recipes the pack added itself. Every link below comes from the pack's own recipes, so don't expect the same links in a different modpack.[2]
Crushing Xychorium ore
The pack adds Create crushing recipes for every Xychorium ore colour: blue, dark, green, light and red. Each ore crushes into its matching gem, such as Blue Xychorium Gem, and also gives you a Nugget of Experience. So a crusher setup gets you gems and a little XP together.[2]

The other colours follow the same pattern, each with its own ore and gem.
Hammering Kivi
The pack adds a hammer recipe that turns Kivi into Crushed Kivi.[2]
Crafts that use XyCraft World items
The pack-added recipe for the CAD Assembler needs Dark Immortal Stone alongside items from other mods.[2]

The pack also has its own recipe for the Void Container. It needs Dark Xychorium Gem together with Awakened Draconium Nugget, Black Hole and Dark Matter Block.[2]

World Engine recipes
The pack has custom machine recipes in its World Engine category that take XyCraft World items. One takes Reinforced Glass Viewer together with Chroniton Glass, Chroniton Star, Depleted Chroniton Star and Aluminum Ingot. Another takes Dark Xychorium Gem together with Anti-Matter Relay MK3, Shadow Steel, Replica Ingot and Charged Redstone Crystal.[2]
