What is Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core?
Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core is included in this pack. You get version 1.0.1 of the mod, the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1]
It isn't a new addition either: it has been in the pack since the 2.25 release or earlier.[1]
Unverified The available information doesn't say what this mod adds, which foods or items it includes, who it's aimed at, or where it fits in the pack's progression. Your recipe viewer in-game is the best place to check what it adds. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Food Core is the kitchen side of Pam's HarvestCraft: the cooked dishes and the basic ingredients they are built from. Almost every recipe here is a shapeless crafting recipe, and most of them also ask for a kitchen tool from a tool tag, such as a pot, saucepan, mixing bowl, cutting board, skillet, bakeware or juicer. So before you start, look at each recipe to see which tool type it wants.[2]
First: Butter and cheese
Start with the basics, because other dishes are built on top of them. Butter is one of the simplest recipes in the mod, and it is used by the buttered baked potato later on.[2]
This is a plain mod recipe that uses a pot-type tool.
Next is Cheese. The pack changed this recipe, so go by the one shown here and not by the standalone mod.[2]
The pack changed this recipe from the mod's version.
Next: Batter and cooking oil
Batter is the base for muffins, cakes, cheese cake and donuts, so make it early.[2]

Batter goes into the apple, caramel, carrot and chocolate muffins, and into several cakes and donuts.
Donuts also need Cooking Oil. This recipe is registered under the crops half of Pam's, and the pack changed it. It is crafted with a roller-type tool.[2]
The pack changed this recipe, and it needs a tool from the roller tag.
Then: Sweet building blocks
Caramel is used in caramel apples, donuts, muffins, pies, yogurt and ice cream. Chocolate Bar is used in chocolate cake, chocolate bacon and chocolate caramel fudge. Both use a saucepan-type tool.[2]

Caramel is an ingredient in several of the sweet dishes above.

Chocolate bars are needed for the chocolate cake and the fudge.
Finally: Your first real meals
With those ready, try something simple. Boiled Egg needs only a pot-type tool and an egg-tagged item. Basic Hamburger and the other basic sandwiches, like the chicken or fish versions, all follow the same pattern and use a skillet-type tool.[2]

How does Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.10 guide
Here's the thing to know up front: every Food Core recipe the sources show is a shapeless crafting recipe. You work in the crafting grid, and the sources show no machines, multiblocks, power or fluid handling for this mod. The core mechanic is choosing which ingredients and kitchen tools go into the grid.[3]
Kitchen tools are part of the recipe
Almost every dish needs a tool-tag slot alongside the food. The sources show tags for a pot, saucepan, cutting board, juicer, bakeware, mixing bowl and skillet. The cooking oil recipe further down uses a roller tool. Any item in the matching tag can fill that slot, so you aren't locked to one specific item.[3]
The food slots work the same way. Recipes ask for tags like eggs, milk, bread, cheese, condiments or vegetables, and any item in that tag is accepted. That's why one recipe such as Basic Hamburger can take different breads and condiments. The basic burger and sandwich recipes all share the skillet slot.[3]
Which tool does what
- Pot: used for Butter, Boiled Egg, Beef Noodle Soup and Apple Donut.[3]
- Skillet: used for the basic burgers and sandwiches, for example Basic Cheeseburger, Basic Chicken Sandwich and Bacon and Eggs.[3]
- Mixing bowl: used for Batter, Apple Smoothie and Apple Popsicle.[3]
- Bakeware: used for baked goods like Apple Pie, Apple Muffin, Beef Pot Pie and Baked Vegetable Medly.[3]
- Cutting board: used for Applesauce, Beef Jerky, Apple Yogurt and Buttered Baked Potato.[3]
- Saucepan: used for Apple Jelly.[3]
- Juicer: used for Apple Juice.[3]
Building up intermediate ingredients
Many dishes use other Food Core items as ingredients, so you craft in stages. The apple line is a clear example: you juice apples, turn the juice into jelly, then turn the jelly into toast. Each step uses its own tool.[3]
Crafting Shapeless
- any tool juicer
- any apple crop

Crafting Shapeless

Batter works the same way. You make it once, then it feeds other recipes like Apple Donut and Apple Muffin.[3]

Batter is crafted with the mixing bowl tool and then used in the donut and muffin recipes.
A pack change: Cooking Oil
The pack changes how Cooking Oil is made. Its recipe is a shapeless craft that takes Canola and a roller tool. Cooking oil is then used by recipes like the apple donut.[3]
This recipe is marked as changed by the pack.
How do you progress through Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.10 guide
Unverified The sources here show no quests that involve this mod, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path. So there is no quest-driven progression to follow. The tiers below are just a way of grouping the in-pack recipes by what each one depends on.
Good news: you don't need to unlock anything to start cooking. The recipes shown for this mod are all shapeless crafting recipes, and each one asks for a kitchen tool from a tool tag, such as a pot, saucepan, mixing bowl, cutting board, bakeware, skillet, juicer, grinder or roller. Because the recipes use tags, any item in the matching tag works.[3]
Tier 1: base ingredients
Start by making the building blocks that other foods are built from. Butter, Cheese and Cream all use milk. Dough and Batter are the two you will reach for constantly.[3]

The sweet side starts with Cocoa Powder, Chocolate Bar and Caramel. Cooking Oil is the one to watch: the mod has its own roller recipes for it, and the pack changed the canola-to-oil recipe that comes from the crops mod.[3]
This canola recipe is changed by the pack, so don't rely on the mod's default.
Tier 2: simple foods
Next come foods that need just one or two ingredients and a tool. Examples are Boiled Egg, Apple Juice, Cracker, Beef Jerky and Chocolate Milk. Juices matter later, because the jellies, smoothies and popsicles are made from them.[3]
Tier 3: baked goods and treats
Once you have dough, batter, oil, cocoa and caramel on hand, a big family of treats opens up. Muffins use batter and bakeware, pies use dough and bakeware, and donuts use batter and cooking oil in a pot. Each family comes in several flavors, including apple, carrot, chocolate, caramel and chorus.[3]

Other options here are Carrot Cake, Cheese Cake, Chocolate Roll and Chocolate Caramel Fudge.[3]
Tier 4: meals built from other dishes
The top tier uses finished foods as ingredients. Chicken Dinner needs two other crafted dishes, Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes. Apple Jelly Toast needs jelly, and Caramel Ice Cream needs caramel. Burgers and sandwiches, such as Bacon Cheeseburger, combine bread, cheese, condiments, meat and a skillet.[3]

How does Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core work with other mods?
3 parts
Food Core is mostly a pile of classic comfort dishes, but in this pack those dishes don't just sit in your hunger bar. Many of them are building blocks for fancier meals from HarvestCraft's extended food recipes, a couple of HarvestCraft crops feed into Food Core items, and there's even a crossover with bees.[4]
Cooking Oil and crops
Cooking Oil is made from Canola, so it's worth planting some. Once you have oil, you can combine it with Cattail to craft a vanilla Torch, which is handy if you're short on coal early on.[4]
Food Core dishes as ingredients
This is where Food Core really pays off. A lot of its basic dishes are ingredients in bigger extended recipes, so cooking them in bulk sets you up for the fancy stuff later.[4]
- Fried Chicken goes into Chicken Biscuit, BBQ Chicken Biscuit, Chicken and Waffles, Springfield Cashew Chicken, Fried Feast and Weekend Picnic.[4]
- Basic Hamburger upgrades into Coleslaw Burger, Jalapeno Burger and Onion Hamburger, and is part of the Cookout Meal.[4]
- Hot Dog is used for Chili Dog, Slawdog and the Cookout Meal.[4]
- Fries shows up in Poutine, Steak and Chips, Chicken Tenders Meal and Delighted Meal.[4]
- Mashed Potatoes is used for Bangers and Mash, Mashed Potatoes Chicken Biscuit and Fried Feast.[4]
- Grilled Cheese leads to Homestyle Lunch and Grilled Cheese Vegemite Toast.[4]
- Potato Chips goes into Chips and Dip and Weekend Picnic.[4]
- Sunflower Seeds is used for Sunflower Broccoli Salad and Sunflower Wheat Rolls.[4]
- The sandwiches upgrade too: Basic Chicken Sandwich becomes Leafy Chicken Sandwich and Basic Fish Sandwich becomes Leafy Fish Sandwich.[4]
- A few more one-offs: Epic Bacon makes the Epic BLT, Cracker makes Crackers and Cheese, Meatloaf makes the Meatloaf Sandwich and Pickled Beets goes into the Bento Box.[4]
Here are a couple of the big combo meals, just so you can see how many Food Core dishes they pull together:[4]

Milk from bees
The pack also includes a Productive Bees recipe that turns its Milk into Food Core's Fresh Milk. That gives you another way to get milk for HarvestCraft cooking.[4]
What changed in Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core between versions?
Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core has been in All the Mods 10 since version 2.2 or earlier, so it's an old member of the pack. The history here is short.[1]
- All the Mods 10 2.33: the changelog lists a Food Core update from 1.0.0 to 1.0.0. The version number didn't change, so the entry doesn't tell you what was different.[5]
- All the Mods 10 4.0: Food Core was updated from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1.[6]
All the Mods 10 4.0 ships Food Core 1.0.1 for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1.[1]
Unverified The pack changelogs only record the version bump from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1. What actually changed inside the mod in that update (fixes, new content or balance tweaks) isn't confirmed by any source I have, so I'm not going to guess.
