What is Oh The Biomes We've Gone?
2 parts
Oh The Biomes We've Gone, or BWG for short, is the sequel to the classic Oh The Biomes You'll Go mod. It adds over 50 biomes to world generation, ranging from the magical to the realistic, so exploring your world gets a lot more varied.[1]
It isn't only about terrain. BWG also adds new mobs, new structures, and hundreds of new blocks.[1]
All the Mods 10 4.5 ships BWG version 2.4.5. It has been part of the pack since version 2.25 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of how your ATM10 world generates.[2]
Who it's for
If you enjoy heading out to see what's over the next hill, BWG is for you: the mod is built around adventure and a more diverse, detailed world. If you're a builder, those hundreds of blocks give you a much bigger palette to work with.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
In the building tips quest chapter, a quest in "?" is completed by picking up any one of these BWG stones: Dacite, Red Rock, Mossy Stone or Rocky Stone.[3]
The Foragers Table also shows up in the tips and tricks chapter. a quest in "?" accepts any one of a long list of workstations from different mods, and BWG's table is one of them.[4]
Unverified The available sources don't explain what the Foragers Table does, and they don't say which biomes, mobs or structures BWG adds.
How do you get started with Oh The Biomes We've Gone?
4 parts
Oh The Biomes We've Gone is the sequel to Oh The Biomes You'll Go. It adds over 50 biomes, from magical to realistic, plus new mobs, structures and hundreds of blocks. It's mostly a worldgen and building mod, so your first steps are about using what you find out in the world.[1]
Step 1: Turn the new woods into a starter kit
Each new tree type gets its own full wood set. Aspen Log becomes Aspen Planks, and those planks make an Aspen Crafting Table, doors, fences, a boat and more. Baobab and Blue Enchanted wood work the same way. Grab whatever logs are near your spawn and you're set.[5]
Baobab and Blue Enchanted planks follow the same pattern.
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: biomeswevegone:aspen_crafting_table
If you're heading out over water early, a boat is cheap to make from the same planks. You can upgrade it to an Aspen Boat with Chest once you have a chest.[5]
Step 2: Craft a Foragers Table
The Foragers Table is the mod's early workstation and uses a mushroom in its recipe. The pack's tips-and-tricks quest a quest in "?" accepts it as one of its many workstation options, so crafting one also ticks that quest off.[4][5]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: biomeswevegone:foragers_table
Unverified What the Foragers Table does in this version could not be confirmed from the available sources, so check JEI/EMI for recipes that use it. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Step 3: Pick up a new stone for the building quest
The pack's building tips quest a quest in "?" wants just one of these: Dacite, Red Rock, Mossy Stone or Rocky Stone.[3]
The easiest is Rocky Stone, which is a quick shapeless craft from vanilla stone blocks, so you can do it without leaving your base.[5]
Mossy Stone has two crafting recipes in the pack, and Dacite comes from smelting Dacite Cobblestone.[5]
Step 4: Early snacks from the new plants
While you explore, keep an eye out for new plants. Aloe Vera becomes Aloe Vera Juice, and a Cooked Oddion Bulb can become Allium Oddion Soup or a Blooming Oddion.[5]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: biomeswevegone:allium_oddion_soup
The mod's advancements also give you early goals, like obtaining White Puffball Caps or cooking a Cattail on a campfire. The advancement even warns that you might want to back away from that one![6]
Unverified Which biomes the Aspen, Baobab and Blue Enchanted trees, Aloe Vera and Oddion plants grow in could not be confirmed from the available sources.
How does Oh The Biomes We've Gone work?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Oh The Biomes We've Gone is a sequel to the original BYG mod, and it focuses on world content rather than technical systems. The project page describes over 50 biomes, new mobs, structures and hundreds of blocks to use. So in this section you'll find the crafting and gameplay loops the sources actually show.[1]
Wood crafting
The recipes shown in the pack's recipe data for this mod are normal crafting recipes, both shaped and shapeless. Aspen and Baobab are the two wood types in the sources. Each has recipes for planks, slabs, stairs, doors, trapdoors, fences, fence gates, buttons, pressure plates, signs, hanging signs, boats, chest boats, bookshelves and crafting tables.[7]
Hanging signs are made with the stripped version of the log, such as Stripped Aspen Log. Here are a few Aspen examples.[7]
Baobab Planks have an equivalent recipe in the pack.

Advancement hints
The mod's advancement descriptions hint at some of its gameplay loops. One asks you to cook a Cattail on a campfire, with a warning to back away. Others ask you to obtain White Puffball Caps, get a Green Apple from the Skyris Vale, or craft both of the BWG pies.[8]
The exploration advancements point you toward the mod's world content. You can find all the Prairie houses, find all the inhabited BWG Villages, or explore all of the BWG biomes. There's also a Pale Bog challenge, and a Pixie Club music disc to track down.[8]
How do you progress through Oh The Biomes We've Gone?
3 parts
Oh The Biomes We've Gone doesn't follow a tiered progression in this pack. You won't find a chain of upgrades or a dedicated questline for it. The pack's quests touch the mod only in a couple of optional tip chapters, and its recipes are mostly building blocks, wood sets and food.[3][4][5]
Where the quests use it
In the building tips chapter, a quest in "?" accepts any of the mod's natural stones: Dacite, Red Rock, Mossy Stone or Rocky Stone. You only need one of them, and the quest opens up after an earlier quest in that chapter.[3]
In the tips and tricks chapter, a quest in "?" asks for one workstation from a long list covering many mods. The Foragers Table is one of the valid choices. This quest also sits behind a prerequisite quest in its chapter.[4]
Early game: easy crafts
If you want to tick off those quests quickly, the Foragers Table and Rocky Stone both use a plain crafting grid. Neither needs any other block from the mod.[5]

Recipe id: biomeswevegone:foragers_table
Mossy Stone has two shapeless crafting recipes, so you can make it without finding it in the world.[5]
Dacite comes from smelting Dacite Cobblestone, just like turning cobblestone back into stone.[5]
Later on: machine processing
Once you have Mekanism machines running, the pack adds compatibility recipes that turn the mod's decorative variants back into their base stones. Crushing converts Dacite Bricks and Dacite Pillar into Dacite, and Cracked Red Rock Bricks into Red Rock.[5]

Enriching turns Dacite Cobblestone into Dacite and Chiseled Red Rock Bricks into Red Rock. Metallurgic infusing can mass-produce Mossy Stone from regular stone.[5]

Unverified The quest titles, their rewards and what the prerequisite quests ask for aren't available here. It's also unconfirmed whether the pack changed any of this mod's default recipes, because only part of the recipe list could be checked.
How does Oh The Biomes We've Gone work with other mods?
3 parts
Oh The Biomes We've Gone adds a lot of new wood types, and this pack plugs them into other mods' machines and furniture. The two big connections are sawmill processing for its logs and Bibliocraft-style furniture made from its slabs. A couple of the pack's quests also accept its blocks.[3][4][5]
Sawmill processing for BWG logs
The pack adds its own sawmill recipes, using the productivetrees:sawmill recipe type, for the mod's logs. Each one takes any log from a wood type's log tag and gives you that wood's planks. Sawdust (Sawdust) also appears in every one of these recipes. Covered woods include Aspen, Baobab, Blue and Green Enchanted, Cika, Cypress, Ebony, Fir, Florus, Holly, Ironwood, Jacaranda, Mahogany, Maple, Palm, Pine, Rainbow Eucalyptus, Redwood, Sakura, Skyris, Spirit, White Mangrove, Willow, Witch Hazel and Zelkova.[5]

Bibliocraft furniture in BWG woods
If you like decorating, BWG slabs work as the wood for Bibliocraft furniture. The recipe list includes black-colored display cases, seats and several seat back styles (small, flat, raised, tall and fancy) in Aspen, Baobab, Blue Enchanted, Cika, Cypress, Ebony and Fir. You can make an Black Ebony Seat to match an Ebony build, or show off loot in a Black Cypress Display Case.[5]

Unverified The sources only show black furniture variants for these seven BWG woods. Other colors or other BWG woods may also have furniture recipes in the pack, but that is unverified.
Quests that use BWG blocks
In the pack's building tips quest chapter, quest a quest in "?" is completed with any one of Dacite, Red Rock, Mossy Stone or Rocky Stone. It's a nice nudge to try BWG stones in your builds.[3]
In the tips and tricks chapter, quest a quest in "?" accepts any of a long list of workstation blocks from different mods. The BWG Foragers Table is on that list, alongside blocks such as the AE2 charger and the Immersive Engineering workbench.[4]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Oh The Biomes We've Gone?
2 parts
This mod appears in two quests in this pack, one in the building_tips chapter and one in the tips_and_tricks chapter. Neither is a big progression quest. They are quick side quests that point you to useful blocks and stations from the mod.[3][4]
Building Tips
The quest a quest in "?" asks for a single building stone from this mod. Any one of these counts, so grab whichever you find first:[3]
This quest isn't open right away. It unlocks once you've completed an earlier quest that comes before it.[3]
Tips and Tricks
The quest a quest in "?" accepts any one of a long list of crafting and processing stations from many different mods. The Foragers Table from this mod is one of the accepted options, so if you're already exploring the new biomes, it's an easy way to tick this one off.[4]
Like the building quest, this one also unlocks only after you finish an earlier quest that comes before it.[4]
Unverified The quest data does not say in which order you'll reach these two chapters, or what the prerequisite quests ask for.

So the sources here do not show any specific feature or fix tied to these versions.
