What is Bibliocraft Legacy?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
The Bibliocraft Legacy project page describes the mod as a port and remake of the original BiblioCraft mod by Nuchaz. It adds decorative and functional furniture to the game.[1]
This pack ships Bibliocraft Legacy 1.6.5, built for Minecraft 1.21.1. The project page says the mod currently supports NeoForge for 1.21.1 and upwards. It has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[1][2]
What you get
- The project page's current feature list includes furniture with its own use, such as bookcases, shelves, tables, tool racks, display cases, potion shelves, disc racks and sword pedestals.[1]
- The same list names clocks, lighting and small decor: fancy clocks, grandfather clocks, fancy lamps and lanterns, cookie jars, desk bells and dinner plates.[1]
- It also lists fancy armor stands, fancy crafters, fancy signs, labels and seats with several types of seat backs.[1]
- For organization, the current list names big books, clipboards, stockroom catalogs and tape measures.[1]
- The page says wooden blocks come in all vanilla wood types (11 as of 1.21.1) and use vanilla textures only, so the mod is compatible with most resource packs.[1]
Good to know
The project page says the mod uses vanilla-friendly JSON models instead of the old OBJ 3D models, and it describes the mod as performance and modpack friendly.[1]
The project page's planned features section says not every feature of the original mod is in yet, and the author plans to add pretty much everything. The notable missing features it lists are mapping (Map Frames, Atlases, Drafting Compasses) and painting (Painting Frames, Painting Presses, Painting Canvases), so don't count on those for now.[1]
Unverified The sources show no quests for this mod and no place for it on the ATM Star path, and no in-jar guidebook was found. It looks like a decoration and organization mod rather than a progression step, but that isn't confirmed.
How do you get started with Bibliocraft Legacy?
3 parts
Bibliocraft Legacy is a port of the original BiblioCraft mod by Nuchaz. It adds decorative and functional furniture such as bookcases, shelves, tables, display cases and seats, and more of the original's features are still planned. There's no mandatory progression here, so this section is a suggested order for your first crafts.[1]
Find your wood and color first
The mod's project page says its wooden blocks come in all vanilla wood types, and that the addon mods Bibliowoods Legacy and Bibliobiomes Legacy bring support for over 100 wood types from over 20 mods. The recipes you'll see in this pack are per wood type and per color, for example the black Aspen set below.[1][3]
Step by step: your first pieces
- Start with a seat. It's the simplest way to see how the mod's furniture recipes work, and the recipe is available for each wood type in the pack.[3]
- Add a seat back. The small seat back is the plainest option. The flat and raised seat backs come next, and the fancy and tall seat backs both use the flat seat back of the same wood and color in their recipes, so make that one first.[3]
- Make a display case when you have something worth showing off.[3]
Here is the seat, using black Aspen as the example: Black Aspen Seat.[3]

Good to know
Some recipes in the mod also require a bit of experience, and JEI will tell you when that's the case. Not every feature of the original mod is in yet, and the author plans to add pretty much everything. The notable missing features include mapping (map frames, atlases, drafting compasses) and painting (painting frames, presses, canvases).[1][4]
Unverified No in-mod guidebook or pack quests cover this mod, so the order above is a suggested route based on the recipes, not an official progression.
How does Bibliocraft Legacy work?
2 parts
Bibliocraft Legacy is a port of the original BiblioCraft mod by Nuchaz. It adds decorative and functional furniture, and that is the angle to take with it: this section covers how the pieces and their variants fit together, as far as the sources go.[1]
What the mod adds
Each piece has its own use. The mod lists bookcases, fancy crafters, potion shelves, tool racks, display cases, seats with several seat back types, desk bells, disc racks and sword pedestals. It also adds organization items such as big books, clipboards, stockroom catalogs and tape measures.[1]
Mapping features (map frames, atlases, drafting compasses) and painting features (painting frames, painting presses, painting canvases) are listed as not yet added, so you won't find them here.[1]
Wood and color variants
Wooden blocks come in all vanilla wood types, and the Bibliowoods Legacy and Bibliobiomes Legacy addon mods add support for many more wood types from other mods.[1]
In this pack the recipe list includes black-wool variants for Biomes We've Gone woods, such as Aspen, Baobab and Blue Enchanted. JEI also labels blocks that can be crafted in all colors, all wood types, or both.[3][4]
Seat backs build on each other. The Black Aspen Fancy Seat Back and the Black Aspen Tall Seat Back are each crafted from the Black Aspen Flat Seat Back, and the other wood types follow the same pattern. Here's the Black Aspen chain as an example:[3]

Display cases follow the same wood and color naming as the seats.
Unverified The JEI display options for wood and color types are set in the mod's config, but the sources here do not show any config files for this mod in the pack, so their pack values are not confirmed. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you progress through Bibliocraft Legacy?
2 parts
Bibliocraft Legacy doesn't have a tech-tier ladder in this pack. What the recipes do show is a small crafting chain for the seating and display pieces, and it repeats for every wood type. The examples below use Aspen, but the Baobab, Blue Enchanted, Cika, Cypress, Ebony, Fir and Florus versions follow the same pattern.[3]
The seat chain
Start with the Black Aspen Seat, and with the Black Aspen Flat Seat Back and Black Aspen Raised Seat Back. These are all crafted straight from base materials. The Black Aspen Small Seat Back is the simplest seat back and also comes straight from base materials.[3]

The flat seat back is the stepping stone to the taller designs. The Black Aspen Fancy Seat Back and the Black Aspen Tall Seat Back are both crafted from a finished flat seat back of the same wood, plus a slab of that wood. So make the flat one first if you want either of these.[3]

Display cases
The Black Aspen Display Case has its own recipe and doesn't depend on any of the seat pieces. It's the only one in this group that needs glass, and any block from the glass blocks tag is accepted.[3]

Unverified I couldn't find any quests in the pack that involve this mod, so there's no quest-driven progression to follow. Recipes for the mod's other blocks, and for colors other than black, aren't covered by the sources I have for this section.
How does Bibliocraft Legacy work with other mods?
2 parts
The one confirmed link between this mod and another mod in the pack is wood types. Bibliocraft Legacy has an API and addon mods for other mods' woods, and the pack's recipe dump shows furniture made from the woods of Biomes We've Gone (namespace biomeswevegone).[1][3]
Biomes We've Gone furniture
These recipes sit under a separate recipe namespace, bibliobiomes. That fits the project page, which says support for over 100 wood types from over 20 mods comes through the Bibliowoods Legacy and Bibliobiomes Legacy addon mods. The crafted items themselves use the bibliocraft namespace.[1][3]
The recipe dump has black-colored variants for these Biomes We've Gone woods: Aspen, Baobab, Blue Enchanted, Cika, Cypress, Ebony, Fir, Florus, Green Enchanted and Holly.[3]
- Display cases, for example Black Aspen Display Case.[3]
- Seats, for example Black Aspen Seat.[3]
- Seat backs in several styles: small, flat, raised, tall and fancy. One example is Black Aspen Fancy Seat Back.[3]
All of these are shaped crafting recipes. Aspen is shown below as an example, and the other woods follow the same pattern, each using its own wood's slab.[3]

Quests
Unverified No quests in this pack involve Bibliocraft Legacy, so the sources here show no quest-based integrations with other mods.
