What is Bibliocraft Legacy?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
The Bibliocraft Legacy project page describes the mod as a port and remake of the original BiblioCraft mod by Nuchaz. It adds decorative and functional furniture to the game.[1]
This pack ships Bibliocraft Legacy 1.6.5, built for Minecraft 1.21.1. The project page says the mod currently supports NeoForge for 1.21.1 and upwards. It has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[1][2]
What you get
- The project page's current feature list includes furniture with its own use, such as bookcases, shelves, tables, tool racks, display cases, potion shelves, disc racks and sword pedestals.[1]
- The same list names clocks, lighting and small decor: fancy clocks, grandfather clocks, fancy lamps and lanterns, cookie jars, desk bells and dinner plates.[1]
- It also lists fancy armor stands, fancy crafters, fancy signs, labels and seats with several types of seat backs.[1]
- For organization, the current list names big books, clipboards, stockroom catalogs and tape measures.[1]
- The page says wooden blocks come in all vanilla wood types (11 as of 1.21.1) and use vanilla textures only, so the mod is compatible with most resource packs.[1]
Good to know
The project page says the mod uses vanilla-friendly JSON models instead of the old OBJ 3D models, and it describes the mod as performance and modpack friendly.[1]
The project page's planned features section says not every feature of the original mod is in yet, and the author plans to add pretty much everything. The notable missing features it lists are mapping (Map Frames, Atlases, Drafting Compasses) and painting (Painting Frames, Painting Presses, Painting Canvases), so don't count on those for now.[1]
Unverified The sources show no quests for this mod and no place for it on the ATM Star path, and no in-jar guidebook was found. It looks like a decoration and organization mod rather than a progression step, but that isn't confirmed.
How do you get started with Bibliocraft Legacy?
5 parts
Bibliocraft Legacy is a from-the-ground-up remake of the original BiblioCraft mod by Nuchaz. It fills your base with furniture that is both decorative and functional. The same furniture also has more vanilla-friendly models than the old mod. Because almost everything is furniture, there is no tech ladder to climb. Your first steps are about picking a few pieces and learning how the colour and wood variants work.[1]
Colours and wood types
Many blocks can be crafted in every colour, every wood type, or both. Wooden blocks come in all vanilla wood types, which is 11 as of 1.21.1. They use vanilla textures only, so they match most resource packs. The examples below use the black acacia versions, but you can swap in whichever colour and wood suit your build.[1][3]
Step 1: A seat and a flat seat back
Seats come with several types of seat back, which makes them a great first project. Start with the seat itself.[1]

Make a Black Acacia Flat Seat Back before you go for anything fancier. The recipes for the Black Acacia Fancy Seat Back and the Black Acacia Tall Seat Back both use a flat seat back, so it is the piece that unlocks the rest. The Black Acacia Small Seat Back and Black Acacia Raised Seat Back have their own recipes.[4]

Step 2: Light it up
Fancy lamps and lanterns come in several variants. There are iron and gold versions of both, like the Black Fancy Iron Lantern and the Black Fancy Gold Lamp. Pick the metal that fits your style.[1][4]

Step 3: Show off your stuff
Display Cases and Sword Pedestals are both part of the mod's furniture lineup. They make a good next step once your seating area is done. The Black Acacia Display Case follows the same colour and wood pattern as the seats, while the Sword Pedestal has a colour variant.[1][4]

Step 4: Get organised
The Clipboard is one of the items the mod adds to help you with organisation. Big Books, Stockroom Catalogs and Tape Measures are in that same group.[1]
Unverified The available sources do not explain how individual blocks behave in-game. That includes what a display case holds, how you sit on a seat, and what the clipboard does when used. Check these in-game before you rely on them.
How does Bibliocraft Legacy work?
5 parts
This mod is a from-the-ground-up remake of the original BiblioCraft by Nuchaz. It adds decorative and functional furniture, and each piece has its own use. It's a furniture mod, not a tech mod, so don't expect power grids or processing lines here. The heart of the mod is the individual blocks and what each one does.[1]
The furniture lineup
Here's the furniture you can build. Each block has its own purpose, whether that's storing, showing off or just looking good in your base.[1]
- Storage and display blocks: Bookcases, Shelves, Potion Shelves, Tool Racks, Disc Racks, Display Cases, Sword Pedestals, Fancy Armor Stands and Cookie Jars.[1]
- Workspace and utility blocks: Fancy Crafters, Tables, Labels, Fancy Signs and Desk Bells.[1]
- Timekeeping: Fancy Clocks and Grandfather Clocks.[1]
- Lighting and decor: Fancy Lamps and Lanterns in several variants, Golden Chains, Lanterns and Soul Lanterns, plus Dinner Plates.[1]
A Display Case like the Black Acacia Display Case shows off your items, and the Sword Pedestal is built to put a blade on display. Both use the pack's normal shaped crafting recipes.[1][4]

Organization items
The mod also has handheld items that help you stay organized: Big Books, Clipboards, Stockroom Catalogs and Tape Measures. In this pack, the Clipboard comes from a shaped crafting recipe.[1][4]
Unverified The sources don't explain how these items work in detail, for example what a Stockroom Catalog tracks or how the Tape Measure displays distances. Try them in-game to see what they do.
Seats and seat backs
Seats are modular: you place a seat and then choose from several seat back styles. In this pack there are small, flat, raised, tall and fancy seat backs, such as Black Acacia Small Seat Back, Black Acacia Flat Seat Back, Black Acacia Raised Seat Back, Black Acacia Tall Seat Back and Black Acacia Fancy Seat Back.[1][4]

Wood types and colors
Most blocks come in many versions. Wooden blocks come in every vanilla wood type, which is 11 as of 1.21.1. They use vanilla textures only, so they fit in with most resource packs. Many blocks also come in dye colors, which is why you'll see names like Black Birch Seat or Black Bamboo Display Case.[1][4]
In recipe viewers, the mod can add a note telling you that a block can be crafted in all colors, all wood types, or both. There are also JEI options that choose whether every color and wood type is listed, or only the default white and oak versions. So if you only see one version of a block, the others most likely still exist.[3]

Unverified There are no config files for this mod in the sources, so it's unconfirmed whether this pack shows all variants in JEI or only the defaults. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Unverified The addon mods Bibliowoods Legacy and Bibliobiomes Legacy add wood types from other mods. The sources don't confirm that either addon is in this pack.
What's not in yet
Not every feature from the old mod has been ported yet. Mapping features (Map Frames, Atlases, Drafting Compasses) and painting features (Painting Frames, Painting Presses, Painting Canvases) are still missing, along with some smaller things.[1]
Unverified The sources don't explain how these blocks work with hoppers, pipes or other automation, and they don't cover redstone behavior for any block.
How do you progress through Bibliocraft Legacy?
4 parts
Good news if you just want to decorate: Bibliocraft Legacy doesn't have a tiered progression in this pack. Every recipe here is a standard shaped crafting-table recipe, so you don't need any machines or special workstations. You can start building furniture as soon as you have a crafting table and some basic materials.[4]
All of these recipes are the mod's own recipes, not pack overrides. What you see in the recipe viewer is exactly what the mod ships with.[4]
Seats and seat backs
Seating is the one area with a real crafting chain. Some seat backs are crafted from other seat backs, so the order you make them in matters.[4]
- Craft a base seat such as the Black Dark Oak Seat.[4]
- Craft a Black Dark Oak Flat Seat Back. This is the starting point for the fancier backs.[4]
- Turn the Flat Seat Back into either a Black Dark Oak Fancy Seat Back or a Black Dark Oak Tall Seat Back.[4]
- The Black Dark Oak Small Seat Back and Black Dark Oak Raised Seat Back don't need a Flat Seat Back. You can craft them directly.[4]

Display pieces
You can craft display items like the Black Oak Display Case and the Sword Pedestal straight away. Neither one needs another Bibliocraft item first. Display cases also come in the same wood types as the seats, such as the Black Birch Display Case.[4]

Lighting: iron or gold
Lamps and lanterns come in iron and gold versions: Black Fancy Iron Lamp, Black Fancy Gold Lamp, Black Fancy Iron Lantern and Black Fancy Gold Lantern. Neither version is an upgrade of the other, since none of these recipes uses another lamp or lantern. Just pick the metal that fits your style.[4]

Utility items
The Clipboard is another standalone crafting-table recipe with no Bibliocraft prerequisites, so you can make it whenever you like.[4]
Unverified The recipes checked for this section are the black-coloured variants. Other colours probably follow the same pattern, but that couldn't be confirmed from the available recipe data.
How does Bibliocraft Legacy work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, Bibliocraft Legacy furniture isn't limited to vanilla wood. The Bibliowoods Legacy addon adds wood types from other mods to Bibliocraft furniture, and its recipes are what connect Bibliocraft to the rest of the pack. Each recipe takes a slab from another mod's wood and gives you a matching piece of furniture.[1][4]
The addon supports over 100 wood types from over 20 mods overall. This section only covers the modded woods that show up in this pack's recipe list.[1]
Modded woods you can build with
- Ancient Wooden Slab gives you Ancient furniture, such as Black Ancient Display Case and Black Ancient Seat.[4]
- Demonic Wooden Slab gives you Demonic furniture, such as Black Demonic Display Case and Black Demonic Seat.[4]
- Soul Wooden Slab gives you Soul furniture, such as Black Soul Display Case and Black Soul Seat.[4]
- Archwood Slab gives you Archwood furniture, such as Black Archwood Display Case and Black Archwood Seat.[4]
- Aspen Slab, Baobab Slab, Blue Enchanted Slab, Cika Slab and Cypress Slab each unlock their own display case, seat and full set of seat backs, like Black Cika Seat.[4]
- Ebony Slab is used for Black Ebony Display Case and for the flat, raised and fancy seat backs, such as Black Ebony Flat Seat Back.[4]
What you can make
For each of these woods, you'll find a display case, a seat, and seat backs in small, flat, raised, fancy and tall styles. They're all normal shaped crafting table recipes. The versions in this pack's recipe list are the black variants, like Black Aspen Seat and Black Demonic Tall Seat Back.[4]

Unverified The recipe list only shows black variants, so it's unconfirmed whether other colors exist for these modded woods in this pack. It also doesn't show an Ebony seat or Ebony small and tall seat backs, so it's unconfirmed whether those can be crafted here.
What changed in Bibliocraft Legacy between versions?
1 part
Bibliocraft Legacy has been in All the Mods 10 since the early days. It was first included in version 2.2 of the pack or earlier, so if you've been playing since the early releases, this mod has been with you the whole way.[5]
Notable updates
- All the Mods 10 2.32 updated Bibliocraft Legacy from version 1.3.3 to 1.4.1.[6]
- All the Mods 10 3.0 ships Bibliocraft Legacy 1.4.1 (the file bibliocraft-1.21.1-1.4.1.jar). That's the same version the 2.32 update brought in, so you're playing on 1.4.1 in 3.0.[5][6]
Unverified The available changelogs don't say what changed inside the mod between 1.3.3 and 1.4.1, such as new blocks, fixes or behaviour changes, so this guide can't list those details yet.
