What is Create: Dragons Plus?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Create: Dragons Plus is a Create addon that adds convenient features for players, plus dev utilities for other Create addon authors. As a player, you'll mostly care about the first part: it gives your Encased Fans new jobs and makes tank handling easier.[1]
This pack ships version 1.11.7b, and the mod has been in the pack since 2.47 or earlier.[2]
What it adds
- Bulk Coloring: use Dye Fluids with an Encased Fan to dye items. It supports most crafting recipes that use dyes.[1]
- Bulk Freezing: use Powder Snow with an Encased Fan to freeze items.[1]
- Bulk Ending: use a Dragon Head or Dragon's Breath (fluid) with an Encased Fan to infuse items with energy from The End.[1]
- Bulk Sanding: use Quicksand with an Encased Fan to polish items. It supports all Sand Paper polishing recipes. Since version 1.8.5, Quicksand is no longer required if the Bulk Sanding block tag contains any block.[1]
- Fluid Hatch: works like the Item Hatch, but gives you convenient take and deposit operations on Fluid Tanks.[1]
Who it's for
If you already run Create and want to process items in bulk with fans instead of one at a time, this mod is for you. It's also handy if you want simpler fluid tank access.[1]
The mod also has optional integrations with other mods, such as Create: Simulated, Create: Granished, Create: Dreams & Desires, The Aether, Dye Depot, Dyenamics, Arts & Crafts and Ars Nouveau. Each one only matters if that mod is installed. Its features can be enabled or disabled, unless a dependent mod forces them on or off.[1]
Unverified The sources don't show any quests for this mod, any role on the ATM Star path, or an in-game guidebook. They also don't confirm which of the integration mods are in this pack, or whether the pack changed any of the mod's configs or recipes.
How do you get started with Create: Dragons Plus?
4 parts
Create: Dragons Plus is mostly about new things you can do with an Encased Fan: coloring, freezing, infusing items with energy from The End, and sanding. It also adds a Fluid Hatch for tanks. Here is what to make first, in order. Every recipe below is marked as changed by the pack, so go by the recipe blocks and not by what you remember from the mod's defaults.[1][3]
Step one: the Fluid Hatch
Start with the Fluid Hatch. It makes a tank easy to use with fluid containers. You can deposit the fluid from your held item into the tank it is placed on, or take stored fluid back out with empty fluid containers.[1][4]
Crafting Shapeless
- any copper ingot
Item Drain
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:crafting/fluid_hatch
This crafting recipe is changed by the pack from the mod's default.
Step two: dyes for Bulk Coloring
Next, set up dyes. In this pack each color has a Create mixing recipe that turns the matching vanilla dye plus water into the mod's version, for example Red Dye. When an air flow passes through Liquid Dye, you get a Coloring Setup that can dye items.[1][3][4]
Mixing (create)
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:mixing/red_dye_from_item
Red is only the example. The other dye colors have mixing recipes of the same kind in the recipe dump, also marked as changed by the pack.
Bulk Coloring is automatically compatible with certain crafting recipes that use dyes. The same air flow can also change the color of entities, and equipped armor gets colored too.[1][4]
Step three: Dragon's Breath for Bulk Ending
For the End-themed processing you need Dragon's Breath. An air flow passing through a Dragon Head or through Dragon's Breath creates an Ending Setup. In this pack, a Create emptying recipe turns vanilla dragon's breath into the mod's Dragon's Breath and gives you the glass bottle back.[1][3][4]
Emptying (create)
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:emptying/dragon_breath
This emptying recipe is changed by the pack.
Step four: the Blaze upgrade template
The pack also has a crafting recipe for the Smithing Template. It is not urgent, so make it whenever you like. The mod describes its additions slot as "Add working blocks for Blaze".[3][4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:crafting/blaze_upgrade_smithing_template
This shaped crafting recipe is changed by the pack.
How does Create: Dragons Plus work?
4 parts
Most of what Create: Dragons Plus adds works through the Encased Fan, plus one helper block for fluid tanks. So the mechanics here are about airflow, fluids and items.[1]
Bulk processing with fans
The mod adds Bulk Coloring, Bulk Freezing, Bulk Ending and Bulk Sanding. In each one, the air from an Encased Fan passes through a catalyst, and the items in that airflow get processed.[1][4]
- Bulk Coloring: air passing through Liquid Dye creates a Coloring Setup. It dyes items and works with most crafting recipes that use dyes, much like Bulk Blasting and Bulk Smoking.[1][4]
- Bulk Freezing: air passing through Powder Snow creates a Freezing Setup.[1][4]
- Bulk Ending: air passing through a Dragon Head or Dragon's Breath creates an Ending Setup. It infuses items with energy from The End.[1][4]
- Bulk Sanding: air passing through a Bulk Sanding Catalyst creates a Sanding Setup, and Quicksand is the example given. It is automatically compatible with Sand Paper sanding recipes.[1][4]
Coloring has some extras. The coloring airflow can also hit entities and change their color, and any armor they have equipped gets colored too.[4]
Unverified The mod's project page says its features can be enabled or disabled, and that Bulk Sanding can be activated by blocks in its block tag instead of only Quicksand in newer mod versions. The sources here include no config files for the mod and do not show which mod version this pack ships, so whether any feature is switched off or changed in this pack is not confirmed. Check in-game before building around a specific setup.
Dye fluids and Dragon's Breath
Bulk Coloring needs dye in fluid form. In this pack, each dye color has a Create mixing recipe that turns the vanilla dye item into the mod's matching dye fluid, for example Red Dye or Blue Dye. The pack changed these recipes, so don't assume the mod's defaults apply. Here is one of them as an example, and the other colors follow the same pattern.[3]
Mixing (create)
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:mixing/red_dye_from_item
Dragon's Breath is the fluid that can power Bulk Ending, as an alternative to a Dragon Head. In this pack, a Create emptying recipe, also changed by the pack, turns a bottle of dragon's breath into the fluid and gives you the glass bottle back.[1][3][4]
Emptying (create)
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:emptying/dragon_breath
Fluid Hatch
The Fluid Hatch makes a fluid tank easy to use with fluid containers. It works like the Item Hatch, but for fluids. With a filled container in hand, you deposit its fluid into the tank the hatch is placed on. With an empty fluid container, you take stored fluid back out.[1][4]
The pack changed this recipe too, so use the one below rather than any default you remember.[3]
Crafting Shapeless
- any copper ingot
Item Drain

Blaze upgrade smithing template
The mod also adds the Smithing Template. Its additions slot is described as "Add working blocks for Blaze". The sources here do not explain what upgrade it performs. The pack changed its crafting recipe.[3][4]

How do you progress through Create: Dragons Plus?
4 parts
This mod has no tier ladder that the sources here can confirm. What the pack does show is a set of recipes that it has changed for the mod's items. Here is how you get each one.[3]
Smithing Template
The Smithing Template is a shaped crafting recipe, and the pack has changed it. The recipe below is the one that applies in this pack.[3]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:crafting/blaze_upgrade_smithing_template
Fluid Hatch
The Fluid Hatch is a shapeless crafting recipe that the pack has also changed. The block below shows exactly what goes into it.[3]
Crafting Shapeless
- any copper ingot
Item Drain
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:crafting/fluid_hatch
Dragon's Breath
Dragon's Breath comes from a Create emptying recipe, and the pack has changed that one too. It also returns a glass bottle.[3]
Emptying (create)
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:emptying/dragon_breath
Dyes
Every dye colour the mod adds has its own Create mixing recipe in the pack, and each one is marked as changed by the pack. They all follow the same pattern: a vanilla dye of the matching colour goes in, and the mod's version of that dye comes out. Red Dye and White Dye are shown here as examples.[3]

How does Create: Dragons Plus work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, the clearest links between Create: Dragons Plus and other mods are its items turning up in Create: Enchantment Industry recipes. Everything below comes from the pack's recipes.[3]
Unverified The quest sources here do not show any quest that involves this mod, so there is no quest chapter to point you to.
Fluid Hatch and the Experience Hatch
The Fluid Hatch works like the Item Hatch, but for fluid tanks: it gives you a convenient way to take fluids out and deposit them. The pack changes how you craft it, so don't rely on the mod's default recipe. Here is the in-pack version:[1][3]
Crafting Shapeless
- any copper ingot
Item Drain
Recipe id: create_dragons_plus:crafting/fluid_hatch
This recipe is changed by the pack.
The Fluid Hatch is also a stepping stone to Create: Enchantment Industry. That mod's Experience Hatch is made by item application, and the Fluid Hatch is one of its ingredients. Craft the Fluid Hatch first, then use this recipe:[3]
Item Application (create)
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:item_application/experience_hatch
This is the mod's own recipe, unchanged by the pack.
Blaze upgrades
The Smithing Template is used in smithing recipes from Create: Enchantment Industry. They upgrade a Blaze Burner into the Blaze Enchanter or the Blaze Forger. Both recipes are below.[3]

What changed in Create: Dragons Plus between versions?
2 parts
All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.2 ships Create: Dragons Plus 1.8.7, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0 or earlier. Below are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first. I don't have any pack changelog entries for this mod, so this is the mod's history only.[5]
1.8.x
- 1.8.7 (the version in this pack): updated for Create 6.0.9 and fixed a crash when pondering the encased fan with Bulk Sanding in certain situations.[6]
- 1.8.6: added the item tag not_applicable_for_coloring, which stops a specific item from being bulk colored. It also fixed a crash when pondering the encased fan with Dreams and Desires but without Quicksand, a crash with Oreganized when pondering the encased fan at bulk freezing, and an infinite fluid dupe when the Fluid Hatch interacted with Mekanism's Fluid Tanks.[7]
- 1.8.5: Bulk Sanding no longer needs Quicksand as a hard requirement. It now activates if Quicksand is installed, Create: Dreams & Desires is installed, or the Bulk Sanding block tag contains a block. Recipes were also updated to the format needed for the newer KubeJS-Create.[8]
- 1.8.1: fixed the Break Fan Catalyst tags of Create: Dreams & Desires, so Catalyst Sails should work correctly.[9]
- 1.8.0b: added a PT_BR localization.[10]
- 1.8.0: added compatibility with Create: Dreams & Desires. Bulk Sanding, Bulk Ending and Bulk Freezing automatically support all of its Fan processing recipes, and the Industrial Fan is supported.[11]
1.7.0 and earlier
- 1.7.0 added a Hungarian translation, a Stainable attribute for the attribute filter, and proper Dispenser support for Buckets of Mod Fluids. Liquid Dye can now solidify concrete powder.[12]
- 1.7.0 also added a block tag for the automatic polishing recipe generation denylist, plus a config option to disable colored concrete generation in the lava interaction of Dye Fluid.[12]
- 1.7.0 changed the Fluid Hatch so the bucket stays in your main hand after filling. It fixed fan processing still running when its recipe was disabled in config, and a registration issue with the sanding recipe.[12]
- 1.6.1: fixed the Blaze Block not rendering its rods correctly.[13]
