What is Cobblegen Galore?
2 parts
Cobblegen Galore adds generator blocks to the pack. The version here is 1.21.1-0.2.9. The one the quest book shows you is the Stone Block Generator, which makes cobblestone for a skyblock start.[1][2]
How the Stone Block Generator works
The quest book says this generator works differently from the old Stone Generator blocks in ATM9TTS. You still need an inventory above the generator to collect the blocks. Then you put a lava source and a water source on 2 of its sides, and it starts making cobblestone.[2]
If you want other blocks, such as andesite or obsidian, place those blocks under the generator. The quest points you to JEI for the full list of recipes. You can also upgrade the generators, and the upgrades only make them faster.[2]
Where the quest book puts it
The quest "Stone Generator" quest (Stone Generator) is in "Chapter 1: Starting out". That chapter is in the group "Skyblock Quests" and is chapter 2 of 54 in the book. The quest asks you to hold the Stone Block Generator, and it comes after the Lava and Water quests.[2]
The earlier quest "Cobblestone" quest (Cobblestone) also mentions stone generators. It says that if you are taking the harder route you can't use them yet, and you need to follow more quests to get there.[2]
Unverified Chapter 1 has 46 quests, and the text of 13 of them is not shown in the sources here, so what comes right after the Stone Generator quest is not confirmed. Read the Lava and Water quests, and anything that follows, in the quest book itself.
How do you get started with Cobblegen Galore?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Your first build in this pack is the Stone Block Generator. It's the very first thing the Cobblegen Galore quests ask for: see "Stone Generator" quest in the first quest chapter, which comes after the Lava and Water quests. The pack adds this recipe itself, so what you see below is the exact in-pack version.[3][4]

Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/cobblegengalore_block_gen_stone
Added by the pack. It takes a lava bucket and a water bucket, and any bucket from those tags works.
Setting it up
If you've played ATM9TTS, you may remember generator blocks that just made cobble in an inventory above them. These work a bit differently, so follow the steps in order.[3]
- Place the generator and put an inventory above it. That's where the generated blocks get collected.[3]
- Put a lava source on one side of the generator and a water source on another side. It needs both, on 2 of its sides, before it starts making cobble.[3]
- If you want something other than cobble, place the block you want underneath the generator. Andesite and even obsidian are possible, and JEI shows more recipes.[3]
Automating andesite
Andesite gets its own quest, "Automating Andesite" quest, in the chapter called The Cool Parts. Build the generator as usual, but put an andesite block beneath it and it makes andesite instead of cobble. No more picking up pebbles by hand.[5]
Upgrading for speed
Once your first generator is running, you can upgrade it. The upgrades just speed the generators up.[3]
The upgrade path goes Stone, then Copper Block Generator, Iron Block Generator, Gold Block Generator, Emerald Block Generator, Diamond Block Generator and finally Netherite Block Generator. Each tier is crafted from the generator one step below it, and the pack adds all of these recipes. Here's the first upgrade, copper:[4]

First upgrade: the Stone Block Generator becomes the Copper Block Generator.
How does Cobblegen Galore work?
3 parts
Cobblegen Galore is built around a family of block generators: Stone, Copper, Iron, Gold, Emerald, Diamond and Netherite. The mod groups all of them in a single item tag, so they work as a set of machines that belong together.[6][7]
The generator tiers
The pack removes the mod's default crafting recipes for every generator and adds its own with KubeJS. If you remember a different recipe from another modpack, forget it: what follows is what this pack uses.[8][9]
The chain runs Stone, Copper, Iron, Gold, Emerald, Diamond, Netherite. Every generator after the first is crafted from the generator directly below it, so you can't skip tiers. Only the Stone generator starts from basic materials.[8][9]

Pack-added generator recipes
Beyond the crafting chain, the pack registers extra recipes of the mod's blockgen type. Each one takes a left input, a right input and a modifier block, and the pack sets the speed to 1 for all of them.[10]
- End Stone: witch water from Ex Deorum on the left, lava on the right, with glowstone as the modifier.[10]
- Netherrack: the same witch water and lava pair, with a redstone block as the modifier.[10]
- Darkstone from Forbidden and Arcanus : again witch water and lava, with an arcane crystal block as the modifier.[10]
- Ancient Stone from AllTheModium: packed ice on the left, soul lava on the right, with an allthemodium block as the modifier.[10]
Only the modifier changes between the End Stone, Netherrack and Darkstone recipes, so swapping it is how you choose which of those stones you get.[10]
Breaking and moving generators
Each generator drops itself when broken. The loot table also copies the custom name from the block entity, so a generator you renamed keeps its label when you pick it up and move it.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17]
Unverified Exact generation rates per tier, what each tier outputs, and how fluids and items are fed in or extracted for automation are not shown in the sources here. This mod has no in-jar guidebook found and no config files in the pack, so check the recipes in JEI in-game for those details. This site does hold All the Mods 10: To the Sky's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you progress through Cobblegen Galore?
3 parts
Cobblegen Galore in this pack is a ladder of block generators: Stone Block Generator, Copper Block Generator, Iron Block Generator, Gold Block Generator, Emerald Block Generator, Diamond Block Generator and Netherite Block Generator. The pack adds their crafting recipes through KubeJS, and you can see each one below.[7][9]
Where the quest book starts you
You meet the first tier in Chapter 1, Starting out, in the Skyblock Quests group. In the quest book, "Stone Generator" quest comes after "Lava" quest and "Water" quest, so plan for a source of both before you build one.[2]
The quest text says this generator works differently from the Stone Generator blocks players may remember from an earlier pack. These are the steps it gives:[2]
- The quest says to put an inventory above the generator to collect the blocks it makes.[2]
- It says to place a lava source and a water source on 2 of the generator's sides, and that it then starts making cobblestone.[2]
- For other blocks such as andesite or obsidian, the quest says to place that block under the generator, and to check JEI for more recipes.[2]
The quest text says the generators can be upgraded and that upgrades only speed them up. The sources here do not give the speed of each tier, so I won't guess.[2]
In the quest book, "The Next Chapter" quest comes next, after the Stone Generator quest, Smelting iron with iron and Crushing Compressed Blocks. Its text points you toward power and automation.[2]
Chapter 2, The Cool Parts, has "Automating Andesite" quest. It asks for the Stone Block Generator, a water bucket, a lava bucket and andesite, and its text says that placing an andesite block beneath the generator makes andesite instead of cobble. The rest of that chapter is in the quest book.[18]
The tier ladder
Here are the in-pack recipes in order. Everything past the Stone tier is an upgrade of the previous generator.[9]

Pack-added generator recipes
The pack also adds its own block generator recipes with a KubeJS script. In each one, the block you place under the generator decides what comes out:[10]
- End Stone: Witch Water and lava on the sides, with glowstone underneath.[10]
- Netherrack: Witch Water and lava on the sides, with a redstone block underneath.[10]
- Darkstone: Witch Water and lava on the sides, with an Arcane Crystal Block underneath.[10]
- Ancient Stone: packed ice and soul lava on the sides, with an Allthemodium block underneath.[10]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Cobblegen Galore?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Cobblegen Galore shows up in a quest in Chapter 1 and another in Chapter 2. You meet the generator early, then come back to it in the next chapter to automate a new block.[3][5]
Chapter 1: Starting out
The first one is "Stone Generator" quest. It unlocks after the Lava and Water quests, and its task is to get a Stone Block Generator.[3]
The quest text says this generator works differently from the Stone Generator Blocks in ATM9TTS. You still need an inventory above the generator to collect the blocks. To get it running, put a lava source and a water source on 2 of its sides, and it starts making cobble.[3]
To make other blocks, such as andesite or even obsidian, place those blocks under the generator. The quest points you to JEI for more recipes. It also says you can upgrade the generators, and the upgrades just speed them up.[3]
Chapter 2: The Cool Parts
The second is "Automating Andesite" quest, which comes after the quest called The Cool Parts. Its tasks ask for the Stone Block Generator, a Water Bucket, a Lava Bucket and Andesite.[5]
The idea is to build the generator like normal, but place an andesite block beneath it. It then makes andesite instead of cobble, so you can stop picking up pebbles.[5]
