What is Cobblegen Galore?
2 parts
Cobblegen Galore adds block generators that turn a lava source and a water source into free blocks, with no more waiting around for cobble to form. In this pack you get the Stone Block Generator, and it's one of the first automation tools you'll meet. The pack ships version 1.21.1-0.2.8.[1][2]
Where it fits in the progression
You meet the generator early, in Chapter 1: Starting out. The quest "Stone Generator" quest unlocks after the Lava and Water quests, so you'll already have both liquids in hand when it shows up.[2]
It comes back in Chapter 2: The Cool Parts with "Automating Andesite" quest. That quest asks for the generator, a water bucket, a lava bucket and andesite, and it's all about getting andesite automatically.[3]
How it works in this pack
If you played ATM9TTS, the quest text warns that this isn't quite the same as the old Stone Generator Blocks. You still need an inventory above the generator to collect the blocks, but the way it works is different.[2]
- Put a lava source and a water source on 2 of the sides of the generator, and it starts making cobble.[2]
- To get other blocks, place the block you want under the generator. The quests mention andesite and obsidian, and the quest text points you to JEI for more recipes.[2]
- Build it like normal with an andesite block beneath it and it makes andesite instead of cobble.[3]
- You can upgrade the generators, and the upgrades only speed them up.[2]
If you want the exact recipes for each output, open JEI in your world, since that's what the quest points you to.[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't show where this mod sits relative to the ATM Star path, and no in-jar guidebook was available, so details beyond the two quests above are unconfirmed.
How do you get started with Cobblegen Galore?
2 parts
The first thing to make in this pack is the Stone Block Generator. It is the start of the Cobblegen Galore chain, and the Chapter 1 quest "Stone Generator" quest walks you through it. The pack adds its own crafting recipe for it, shown below.[2][4]

Setting it up
If you played ATM9TTS, you might remember Stone Generator Blocks that just made Cobble in an inventory above them. These work a bit differently. You still need an inventory above the generator to collect the blocks, but the way it works is different.[2]
- Place the generator and put an inventory directly above it to collect the output.[2]
- Put a Lava Source on one side of the generator and a Water Source on another. You need them on 2 of its sides, and then it starts making Cobble.[2]
- Want something other than Cobble? Place the block you want underneath the generator. Andesite and even Obsidian work this way, and JEI shows more recipes.[2]
Upgrading your generator
Upgrading a generator makes it faster, nothing more. The upgrade path is a chain, and each tier's recipe uses the previous generator. This pack adds all of these recipes.[2][4]

The higher tiers are the Iron Block Generator, Gold Block Generator, Emerald Block Generator, Diamond Block Generator and Netherite Block Generator. The in-pack recipe for each one is shown below.[4]

How does Cobblegen Galore work?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Cobblegen Galore is built around a family of tiered generator blocks. In order, they are the Stone Block Generator, Copper Block Generator, Iron Block Generator, Gold Block Generator, Emerald Block Generator, Diamond Block Generator and Netherite Block Generator.[5][6]
The sources for this mod only cover these blocks and how you craft them in this pack, so this section sticks to that.[5][6]
The upgrade ladder
Every generator recipe in this pack is added by the pack's scripts, so these are the pack's recipes, not necessarily the mod's defaults. They form a ladder: you start with the Stone tier, then craft each next tier from the generator one step below it, all the way up to Netherite.[6]
Here is the entry point, the Stone Block Generator:[6]

From there you climb one tier at a time. Each recipe below is shown in the pack's exact form.[6]

Source blocks
The mod's recipe viewer entries carry the label "Source block is consumed", so keep an eye out for that line when you look up one of its recipes.[5]
How do you progress through Cobblegen Galore?
3 parts
Cobblegen Galore gives you a ladder of generators in this pack, and every rung is crafted with a recipe the pack added itself. You start with the Stone Block Generator and climb one tier at a time up to the Netherite Block Generator.[4]
Starting out: the Stone Generator
Your first stop is the quest "Stone Generator" quest in Chapter 1, which unlocks after the Lava and Water quests. It says these generators work differently from the Stone Generator Blocks in ATM9TTS. You still need an inventory above the generator to collect the blocks. It also needs a lava source and a water source on 2 of its sides, and then it starts making cobble.[2]
Shaped (kubejs)
| any water bucket | any lava bucket | |
Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/cobblegengalore_block_gen_stone
The starting generator, with a recipe added by the pack.
Want something other than cobble? The quest says to place the block you want underneath the generator. It names andesite and even obsidian as examples, and it points you to JEI for more recipes.[2]
Automating Andesite
In Chapter 2, "Automating Andesite" quest shows this off. It comes after The Cool Parts. Build the generator as normal, but put an andesite block beneath it and it makes andesite instead of cobble. No more picking up pebbles.[3]
The upgrade tiers
The generator tiers follow the pack's recipes in this order: Stone, Copper, Iron, Gold, Emerald, Diamond, Netherite. Each tier's recipe starts from the generator of the tier before it, so you climb the ladder one step at a time. The Stone Generator quest says upgrading the generators just speeds them up.[2][4]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Cobblegen Galore?
3 parts
Cobblegen Galore shows up in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of this pack's quest book. You meet the generator in Chapter 1, then you put it to work in Chapter 2.[2][3]
Chapter 1: Starting out
Your first stop is "Stone Generator" quest. The quest comes after the Lava and Water quests, and its task is to obtain the Stone Block Generator.[2]
The quest text explains how this generator works. If you played ATM9TTS, you may remember generators that just made Cobble into an inventory above them. These work a bit differently. You still need an inventory above the generator to collect the blocks, but you also need a Lava Source and a Water Source on 2 of its sides before it starts making Cobble.[2]
To get other blocks, like Andesite or even Obsidian, you place those blocks under the generator. The quest points you to JEI for more recipes, and says upgrading the generators will just speed them up.[2]
Chapter 2: The Cool Parts
Next up is "Automating Andesite" quest, which comes after the quest called The Cool Parts. Its tasks list the Stone Block Generator, a water bucket, a lava bucket and Andesite.[3]
The idea is to stop picking up Pebbles and automate Andesite instead. Build the generator like normal, but place an Andesite Block beneath it and it will make Andesite instead of Cobble.[3]
Suggested order
- Finish the Lava and Water quests in Chapter 1, then complete "Stone Generator" quest to get your first generator.[2]
- Move on to Chapter 2 and, after The Cool Parts, complete "Automating Andesite" quest to automate Andesite.[3]
