What is Applied Replicatics?
2 parts
Applied Replicatics is an add-on that connects Applied Energistics 2 (AE2) with Replication. It is a full integration built on AE2's standard features, so matter is handled inside your ME network like other stored resources. This pack ships version 21.1-1.1.0.[1][2][3]
What it adds
- ME Matter Storage Cells: storage cells for Replication matter, with capacities from 1k to 256M. They behave like normal storage cells, except that 256 matter uses 1 byte. They are compatible with MEGA Cells, so MEGA Storage Cell versions are available too.[1][4]
- ME Replication Connector: a block that links the Replication network and the ME network both ways. You can store matter from Replication into the ME network and extract it back out. You need it to exchange matter, and it is not compatible with similar blocks from other mods.[1][4][5]
- Autocrafting: patterns stored in a Chip Storage are registered as craftable in the ME network. Replicator output is imported into the ME network through the connector, and autocrafting uses matter held in ME Matter Storage Cells.[1][5]
Where it sits in the quest book
The mod's quest is in the Getting Started chapter, in the Main Questline group. That is chapter 4 of 31 in the book, and the chapter has 57 quests.[6]
The quest is a quest in "Getting Started", which asks for the Sky Replica Ingot. It comes after the quest "Proper Materials". Its text says Deepslate Replica Ore is made by dripping Kivi stone with Polymorphic Fluid. It points you to the Sky Stone quest for your first Sky Stone, which you can then use with a Xycraft Extractor to mass-produce more.[6]
The sources I have show only part of this chapter, so I can't tell you which quest follows it. The full chain is in the quest book, and 35 of the chapter's 57 quests are not covered here.[6]
How do you get started with Applied Replicatics?
3 parts
Applied Replicatics is the bridge between Applied Energistics 2 and Replication. It lets your ME network handle Replication matter, with storage cells that hold matter and a connector block that links the two networks. Here is what to make first, in order.[1][3]
Step 1: Sky Replica Ingot
The quest book gets you started here. In the Getting Started chapter (Main Questline, chapter 4 of 31), the quest a quest in "Getting Started" comes right after "Proper Materials" quest and asks you to make a Sky Replica Ingot. Its text says Deepslate Replica Ore can be created by dripping Kivi stone with Polymorphic Fluid. It also points you to the Sky Stone quest for your first Sky Stone, which you can then use with a Xycraft Extractor to mass-produce more.[6]
The ingot has several crafting routes in the pack. The AE2 transform recipe gives 2 ingots per craft, and the Crystal Assembler route gives 8 per craft.[7]

The pack also adds its own Modern Industrialization constructor recipe for the same ingot, alongside the Reaction Chamber recipe from the mod.[7]

Step 2: Matter cell housing and your first matter cell
Matter cells are storage cells that hold Replication matter. They behave like normal AE2 storage cells, except they use 1 byte per 256 matter. Start with the ME Matter Cell Housing. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's default.[4][7]

Then pick a size. The pack also changed the direct crafting recipes for the 1k to 256k cells, such as the 1k ME Matter Storage Cell. You can instead combine a housing with a matching storage component, which is the mod's own shapeless recipe.[7]

The mod also adds MEGA versions, from the 1M MEGA Matter Storage Cell up to the 256M MEGA Matter Storage Cell. These start from the MEGA Matter Cell Housing, and their recipes are the mod's defaults.[1][7]
Step 3: ME Replication Connector
Cells alone do not connect anything. To move matter between a Replication network and your ME network, you need the ME Replication Connector. It works in both directions: it stores matter from Replication into the ME network and extracts it back out.[1][4][5]

Once it is placed, autocrafting works like this: patterns stored in a Chip Storage show up as craftable in your ME network, and Replicator output is inserted into the network through the connector. Autocrafting uses matter stored in your ME Matter Storage Cells.[5]
The Getting Started chapter has 57 quests, and 11 of them are only in the quest book, so check there for anything not covered here.[6]
How does Applied Replicatics work?
5 parts
Applied Replicatics is an add-on that links Applied Energistics 2 with Replication. It handles Replication's matter inside your ME network using AE2's standard features, rather than as a workaround. The sources only describe two parts of it in detail, the matter storage cells and the connector block, so this section covers those, plus how the Sky Replica Ingot is made.[1][3]
Matter Storage Cells
These are storage cells that hold Replication matter instead of items. They behave like normal AE2 storage cells, with one twist: every 256 matter uses up 1 byte.[1][4]
Capacities run from 1k to 256M. The standard ME line includes the 1k ME Matter Storage Cell and the 16k ME Matter Storage Cell. As part of the MEGA Cells integration there is also a MEGA line, which includes the 1M MEGA Matter Storage Cell and the 256M MEGA Matter Storage Cell.[1][4][8]
Crafting the cells
Each cell can be crafted in two ways. The first is a shapeless recipe: combine a matching storage component with the right housing. Standard cells use the ME Matter Cell Housing and MEGA cells use the MEGA Matter Cell Housing.[7]
Housing route for a standard cell.

The second way is a shaped recipe that builds the cell directly from the component. The pack has changed the shaped recipes for the 1k, 16k and 256k ME Matter Storage Cells, so don't rely on the mod's default recipe for those. The MEGA versions are listed as the mod's own recipes.[7]

The ME Replication Connector
The ME Replication Connector is the bridge between a Replication network and an ME network, and it works both ways. It can store matter from the Replication network into the ME network, and it can pull matter back out of the ME network into the Replication network.[1][5]

Autocrafting with matter
Patterns stored in a Chip Storage are registered as craftable in your ME network. When a craft runs, the Replicator's output is inserted into the ME network through the connector.[1][5]
Autocrafting uses matter stored in your ME Matter Storage Cells, so keep a matter cell in the network if you want replication autocrafting to work.[5]
Sky Replica Ingot
The Sky Replica Ingot is the key material for the MEGA side of this mod, since the MEGA recipes above use Sky Replica Ingots. You can also craft ingots into a Sky Replica Block. The pack gives you several machines that can make the ingot.[7]
- AE2 in-world transform: one set of inputs gives 2 ingots.[7]
- Crystal Assembler (ExtendedAE): 4 of each solid input plus 100 lava give 8 ingots.[7]
- Reaction Chamber (Advanced AE): 16 of each solid input plus 500 lava give a Sky Replica Ingot.[7]
- Modern Industrialization FTB Constructor: this recipe is added by the pack and uses 16 of each solid input plus 500 lava.[7]

The pack also uses the ingot outside this mod: its Create New Age script requires a Sky Replica Ingot in the recipe for the Netherite Magnet.[9]
How do you progress through Applied Replicatics?
4 parts
Applied Replicatics is an add-on that links Applied Energistics 2 with Replication. In this pack its progression is short and clear: you make Sky Replica Ingots, turn them into matter storage cells, then bridge your ME network to a Replication network with the connector.[3][5][7]
Where it sits in the quest book
The a quest in "Getting Started" quest is in the Getting Started chapter (Main Questline group, chapter 4 of 31). It unlocks after "Proper Materials" quest and asks you to hand in a Sky Replica Ingot. Its text points you to the Sky Stone quest for your first Sky Stone, which you can then mass-produce with a Xycraft Extractor.[6]
After that, the a quest in "Getting Started" quest follows. It needs this quest, a quest in "Getting Started" and a quest in "Getting Started" done first.[6]
Tier 1: Sky Replica Ingot
There are four ways to make the ingot. The AE2 transform recipe gives 2 ingots per craft. The Crystal Assembler gives 8. The Reaction Chamber gives 1. The pack also adds its own Modern Industrialization route, which gives 1.[7]

Tier 2: Matter Storage Cells
Matter cells store Replication matter. They work like normal AE2 storage cells, except they use 1 byte per 256 matter. The pack changed the recipe for the ME Matter Cell Housing and for the five standard cells. The MEGA versions use the mod's own recipes.[4][7]
- Standard ME tiers: 1k ME Matter Storage Cell, 4k ME Matter Storage Cell, 16k ME Matter Storage Cell, 64k ME Matter Storage Cell and 256k ME Matter Storage Cell.[7]
- MEGA tiers: 1M MEGA Matter Storage Cell, 4M MEGA Matter Storage Cell, 16M MEGA Matter Storage Cell, 64M MEGA Matter Storage Cell and 256M MEGA Matter Storage Cell. Their shapeless route uses the MEGA Matter Cell Housing.[4][7]
Every cell has two routes: a direct craft, or a shapeless craft that combines a storage component with the matching housing. Here is the standard housing, the 1k cell both ways, then the MEGA housing and the 1M cell.[7]

Tier 3: ME Replication Connector
The ME Replication Connector joins a Replication network to an ME network. It stores matter from Replication into your ME network, and it can pull matter back out to Replication.[5]

It also enables autocrafting. Patterns kept in a Chip Storage show up as craftable in the ME network, and the Replicator output is inserted into the ME network through the connector. Autocrafting uses matter stored in your ME Matter Storage Cells, so build the cells before you rely on it.[5]
How does Applied Replicatics work with other mods?
4 parts
Applied Replicatics is a bridge: it connects Applied Energistics 2 with Replication. On top of that, the pack ties its Sky Replica Ingot into a handful of recipes from other mods. Here is where all of that shows up.[1][3][7]
Applied Energistics 2 and Replication
The core idea is that Replication's matter becomes something your ME network can handle natively. The ME Replication Connector links a Replication network to an ME network in both directions. You can store matter from Replication in the ME network, and pull it back out again.[1][5]
Its crafting recipe mixes parts from both worlds: AE2 parts and a Replication Matter Tank.[7]
Crafting Shaped

For autocrafting, patterns stored in a Chip Storage show up as craftable in your ME network. The Replicator's output is inserted into the ME network through the connector, and the crafting draws on matter held in ME Matter Storage Cells.[5]
Matter cells and MEGA Cells
Matter Storage Cells work like normal AE2 storage cells, except they store Replication matter and use 1 byte per 256 matter. Because the add-on is compatible with MEGA Cells, you also get MEGA versions. Capacities run from 1k up to 256M.[1][4]
Each matter cell is built around the matching AE2 storage component, for example 1k ME Storage Component for 1k ME Matter Storage Cell. The MEGA cells use the MEGA storage components instead, for example 1M MEGA Storage Component for 1M MEGA Matter Storage Cell. The shapeless version pairs the component with a housing: ME Matter Cell Housing for regular cells and MEGA Matter Cell Housing for MEGA cells.[7]

The pack changes the shaped recipes for the 1k, 4k, 16k, 64k and 256k matter cells and for the regular housing, so the shaped recipe you see below is the pack's version, not the mod default. The MEGA cell recipes are the mod's own.[7]

Sky Replica Ingot across the pack
Sky Replica Ingot can be made several ways, depending on which machines you have. The AE2 transform recipe gives 2 ingots per craft. ExtendedAE's crystal assembler gives 8 per craft. There is also an Advanced AE reaction chamber recipe, and a Modern Industrialization constructor recipe that the pack adds itself.[7]

In the quest book
The Sky Replica Ingot quest a quest in "Getting Started" sits in the "Getting Started" chapter, in the Main Questline group, which is chapter 4 of 31 in the book. It comes after the "Proper Materials" quest. Its text mentions Deepslate Replica Ore, which can be made by dripping Kivi stone with Polymorphic Fluid. It also points you to the Sky Stone quest for your first Sky Stone, which you can then use with a Xycraft Extractor to make more.[6]
Most of the other quests in that chapter are not covered here, so check the quest book for the rest of the story.[6]
Which FTB Skies 2: Aero quests use Applied Replicatics?
2 parts
In this pack the mod shows up in one quest, and it sits in the "Getting Started" chapter of the Main Questline group. That is chapter 4 of 31 in the quest book, and the chapter has 57 quests. The quest is a quest in "Getting Started", and the book gives it no title of its own, so it is named after the item it asks for.[6]
What the quest asks for
The task is to hand in one Sky Replica Ingot. The quest text tells you that Deepslate Replica Ore can be created by dripping Kivi stone with Polymorphic Fluid. It also points you to the Sky Stone Quest for your first Sky Stone, which you can then use with a Xycraft Extractor to mass-produce more.[6]
Where it sits in the order
- Before it: the quest unlocks after "Proper Materials" quest, which asks for an iron ingot. That one in turn comes after "Clusters of Creation" quest, "Essential Waters" quest and "The Old Ways" quest.[6]
- Alongside it: many other quests also unlock after "Proper Materials" quest, including a quest in "Getting Started" and a quest in "Getting Started", so you can pick the order you tackle them in.[6]
- After it: a quest in "Getting Started" needs a quest in "Getting Started", a quest in "Getting Started" and a quest in "Getting Started" all done first. It asks for End Stone, which you make artificially using VoidShimmer Goo.[6]
- Further on: "D.I.Y End Portal" quest comes after a quest in "Getting Started" and "Enderman Gateway" quest, and "Slay The Ender Dragon" quest follows that.[6]
So the ingot is one of three quests that must be finished before the VoidShimmer Goo quest opens, which is the route toward the End portal and the Ender Dragon fight.[6]
What changed in Applied Replicatics between versions?
2 parts
FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 ships Applied Replicatics 21.1-1.1.0, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0.3 or earlier. The changes below come from the mod's own changelogs for the two most recent releases.[2]
21.1-1.1.0 (the version in this pack)
- Replication crafting patterns are now restored after a server restart.[10]
- Replication crafting tasks are now preserved across reloads.[10]
- New feature: AppliedFlux energy can be transferred to replication networks.[10]
- Matter requirements for replication crafting are now rounded up consistently.[10]
If you run a long-lived world or a server, the two fixes for patterns and tasks are the ones you'll notice most, since they cover restarts and reloads.[10]
21.1-1.0.4
This release fixed a duping bug involving the return inventory. It was a community contribution, and the contributor's first one to the mod.[11]
