What is Just Dyna Things?
2 parts
Just Dyna Things is an addon for JustDireThings that adds a grab bag of new blocks and machines. This pack ships version 1.9.3. It covers repair, crystal farming, power generation and a few handy utility blocks.[1][2]
What it adds
- Anvils that repair gear without Experience. The Ferricore Anvil handles iron tools, the Blazegold Anvil repairs with lava or other high temperature fluids, and the Celestigem Anvil repairs with Forge Energy (FE). The Eclipse Alloy Anvil also uses FE and repairs much faster when you add Time Fluid.[3][4][5][6][7]
- Echoing Budding blocks, a way to farm budding resources that only needs Time Fluid and Energy to grow clusters. Variants include Echoing Budding Amethyst, Echoing Budding Certus, Echoing Budding Entro and Echoing Budding Time.[8][9][10][11][12]
- New goo tiers, including energy-powered goos that need Forge Energy to stay alive and a Creative Goo that cannot die.[13][14][15]
- Utility blocks: BlackHole (a universal trash can), the Ferricore Clock (a configurable redstone clock), Phase Box (a block you can toggle between solid and non-solid), the Reforger (converts blocks into other blocks using a catalyst) and the Revitalizer (revives goo on top of it using Forge Energy).[16][17][18][19][20]
Power generation
The mod also adds generators. The Thermo Generator makes 270 FE/t from a heat source alone, or 1620 FE/t when you add a fluid coolant as well.[21]
The solar panels each have their own conditions. The Ferricore Solar Panel has an FE rate of 240 and only works in the Overworld, with sky access, during the day. The Blazegold Solar Panel has an FE rate of 960 and works in the Nether. The Celestigem Solar Panel has an FE rate of 3,840 and needs sky access. The Eclipse Alloy Solar Panel has an FE rate of 11,520 with no conditions.[22][23][24][25]
How do you get started with Just Dyna Things?
4 parts
Just Dyna Things is an addon for JustDireThings, so most of what you craft with it is built on JustDireThings materials. This order is a suggestion based on what each item does, so you get power first, then repairs, then automation.[2][26]
Step one: get some power with the Ferricore Solar Panel
Your first stop is the Ferricore Solar Panel. It makes Forge Energy with an FE rate of 240, and it only works in the Overworld, with a clear view of the sky, during the day. That makes it a simple starter generator for a surface base. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's own, so use the one below.[25][26]

Step two: repair without XP with the Ferricore Anvil
The anvils in this mod repair items without spending experience. The Ferricore Anvil is the first tier, and the in-game guide says it repairs iron tools. You can craft it with the recipe below, or use the smithing recipe on an existing anvil.[3][7][26]

Later tiers are upgrades of the one before: the Blazegold Anvil comes from the Ferricore Anvil, the Celestigem Anvil from the Blazegold Anvil, and the Eclipse Alloy Anvil from the Celestigem Anvil, each through its own smithing recipe. The Blazegold Anvil repairs using lava or other high temperature fluids. The Celestigem Anvil repairs using Forge Energy.[4][5][26]
Step three: redstone timing with the Ferricore Clock
If you want automation, the Ferricore Clock is a redstone clock you can program. You set the timing in game ticks, and you can switch individual sides off so it doesn't power things you don't want.[17]

Step four: more power when you're ready
The Thermo Generator needs a heat source block and optionally a fluid coolant. With heat alone it makes 270 FE/t, and with both heat and coolant it makes 1,620 FE/t. It also works placed upside down.[21]

If you spend time in the Nether, the Blazegold Solar Panel has an FE rate of 960 and only works in that dimension.[22]

Unverified The in-game text for the Ferricore Anvil is cut off, so the full list of items it repairs is unconfirmed.
How does Just Dyna Things work?
5 parts
Just Dyna Things is an addon for JustDireThings that adds new generators, goos, buddings, anvils and a few utility blocks. The sources explain what each block does and how this pack tunes it, but they do not describe pipes, multiblocks or other automation, so this section sticks to what is confirmed.[2]
Power generation
The Thermo Generator makes Forge Energy from a heat source block, with an optional fluid coolant that acts as a multiplier. On heat alone it makes 270 FE/t. With a coolant as well it makes 1,620 FE/t. You can even place it upside down and it still works.[21]
In this pack 2-blocks.thermogen_coolant_to_fe is false, so a coolant is not required for it to generate. It holds up to 1,000,000 FE and 100,000 mB of coolant, and coolant costs 1 mB/t. These values match the mod defaults.[27]
The solar panels generate Forge Energy based on conditions around them. Each tier has its own FE rate, conditions and modifiers:[28]
- Ferricore Solar Panel: 240 FE/t. It only works in the Overworld, with sky access, during the day, and has no modifiers.[25]
- Blazegold Solar Panel: 960 FE/t. It only works in the Nether and has no modifiers.[22]
- Celestigem Solar Panel: 3,840 FE/t. It needs sky access, and the more solar panels placed near each other, the more it produces.[23]
- Eclipse Alloy Solar Panel: 11,520 FE/t with no conditions. It has the same nearby-panel modifier, and high or low Y-levels increase the multiplier while middle Y-levels decrease it.[24]
In this pack the Blazegold, Celestigem and Eclipse Alloy panels keep the mod's default rates of 960, 3,840 and 11,520 FE/t. Capacity is 100,000 FE for Blazegold and Celestigem and 1,000,000 FE for Eclipse Alloy.[27]
Each panel also has an override option, 5-solar_panel.solar_blazegold_override for example, that disables the whole condition system so the panel stays active forever. It is false for Blazegold and Celestigem here. The Y-level multiplier option is false for both of those panels. The Solar-Spam multiplier option reduces FE generation and is false for Blazegold but true for Celestigem. The remaining Eclipse Alloy and Ferricore panel options are set in the same config file.[27]
The pack changed the Ferricore Solar Panel recipe compared with the mod's own, so craft it like this:[26]

Changed by the pack.
Goos and the Revitalizer
The mod adds new goo tiers. Energized Goo needs Forge Energy to stay alive. The in-game guide lists it as tier 6, but this pack's config sets 4-goo.goo_energized_tier to 5, so go by the config value.[13][15][27]
The four charged goos are described in the guide as energy versions of their base goos, and it notes they were mainly made for content creators. In this pack the tiers are: Charged Primogel Goo is 1, Charged Blazebloom Goo is 2, Charged Voidshimmer Goo is 3 and Charged Shadowpulse Goo is 4. Each has a counter reducer of 15.[27][29][30][31][32]
Energy-powered goos have a cost of 100 FE/t and a capacity of 10,000 FE. Both settings have a tier multiplier option, and both are enabled in this pack.[27]
Creative Goo is a goo that cannot die, at the maximum tier level. You can toggle it with any wrench.[14]
The Revitalizer revives any goo placed on top of it using Forge Energy. In this pack it costs 1,000 FE/t and stores 10,000 FE. The chance to apply the FE cost when it revives a goo is set to 50, and its sound is enabled.[20][27]
Echoing buddings
Echoing buddings are a new way to farm budding resources. They only need Time Fluid and energy to grow clusters. The guide lists base support for Minecraft and JustDireThings, plus extra support for Applied Energistics 2, Extended AE and Phasorite Networks. The variants are Echoing Budding Amethyst, Echoing Budding Time, Echoing Budding Certus, Echoing Budding Entro and Echoing Budding Phasorite.[8][9][10][11][12][33]
The pack's config has one general set of budding options. The cost is 100 FE/t and 100 mB/t, and the capacity is 10,000 FE and 10,000 mB. The options for applying the FE cost and the mB cost when a cluster grows are both true, and so is the growth sound.[27]
Anvils
The More Anvils set repairs items without spending experience. Each anvil uses a different repair method:[3]
- Blazegold Anvil repairs items using lava or other high temperature fluids.[4]
- Celestigem Anvil repairs items using Forge Energy.[5]
- Eclipse Alloy Anvil also repairs using Forge Energy. When you add Time Fluid, it repairs 10% of the item's total damage capacity each tick, or repairs it completely. The guide's example: a tool with 10,000 max durability gets 1,000 repaired every game tick, and one with 256 max durability is completely repaired in a single tick.[6]
- Ferricore Anvil repairs iron tools. The part of the guide naming what it repairs them with is missing from the source, so check it in game.[7]
Utility blocks
- Blackhole is the universal trash can. You can turn it off so it stores an abnormal amount of energy or fluid in a cheap space. In this pack 2-blocks.blackhole_keep is true, so it keeps its stored contents when redstone disables it. Its FE and fluid capacities and its FE/t and mB/t costs are all 2,147,483,647, the mod default.[16][27]
- The Reforger converts blocks into other blocks at the cost of a catalyst, and the result can be any valid ore. In this pack the chance for the catalyst to be consumed is set to 50.[19][27]
- Ferricore Clock is a redstone clock you can program per side with a specific game tick, so you can disable sides to avoid powering unwanted blocks. In this pack 2-blocks.ferricoreclock_requireWrench is false, so you can change its face states without a wrench.[17][27]
- Phase Box can be toggled between solid and non-solid, and it supports connected textures when ConnectedTexturesMod is installed. In this pack 2-blocks.phasebox_requireWrench is false, so you can change its state without a wrench.[18][27]
Unverified The sources do not say which blocks count as heat sources for the Thermo Generator, which fluids work as coolants, how these machines take in or push out items and fluids through pipes or other automation, or whether any of the blocks form multiblock structures.
How do you progress through Just Dyna Things?
4 parts
Unverified No quest in this pack was found that covers this mod, so there is no quest-driven path to follow. The order below comes from the in-pack recipes and the in-game guide entries. This site does hold FTB Skies 2's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Just Dyna Things is an addon for Just Dire Things, and its tiers follow the Just Dire Things materials. In order, they are Ferricore, Blazegold, Celestigem and Eclipse Alloy. Anvils, solar panels and goo all climb that same ladder, so you can plan around it.[2][26]
Solar panels
The four solar panels each use a different tier of Just Dire Things coal, and each one produces much more Forge Energy than the last. The higher tiers also drop most of the restrictions.[26][28]
- Ferricore Solar Panel has an FE rate of 240. It only works in the Overworld, with a view of the sky, during the day.[25]
- Blazegold Solar Panel has an FE rate of 960 and only works in the Nether.[22]
- Celestigem Solar Panel has an FE rate of 3840 and needs to see the sky. Panels placed near each other produce more.[23]
- Eclipse Alloy Solar Panel has an FE rate of 11520 and has no conditions. Nearby panels still boost it, and high or low Y-levels raise the multiplier while middle Y-levels lower it.[24]
The pack changed the Ferricore Solar Panel recipe, so don't assume the mod's default recipe applies. This is the pack's version:[26]

Anvils
The anvils repair items without using experience. Each tier is also a smithing upgrade of the one below it. Start with the Ferricore Anvil, upgrade it to the Blazegold Anvil, then the Celestigem Anvil, and finally the Eclipse Alloy Anvil. Each upgrade also has a plain crafting recipe that starts from any vanilla anvil.[3][26]

First step of the anvil upgrade chain.
- The Ferricore Anvil repairs iron tools. The guide text for the exact items is cut off in the sources.[7]
- The Blazegold Anvil repairs using lava or other high-temperature fluids.[4]
- The Celestigem Anvil repairs using Forge Energy.[5]
- The Eclipse Alloy Anvil also uses Forge Energy. If you add Time Fluid, it repairs much faster. The guide's examples are a tool with 10000 max durability repairing 1000 damage per tick, and a tool with 256 max durability being fully repaired in one tick.[6]
Goo
The goo blocks from Just Dire Things come in four tiers, Primogel, Blazebloom, VoidShimmer and Shadowpulse, and each has a charged version added by this mod. Every charged recipe combines the matching goo, coal and raw material with a Totem of Death Recall. The in-game guide describes the energized goo entries as energy versions of the base goo.[13][26][29][30][31][32]
- Charged Primogel Goo, Charged Blazebloom Goo, Charged Voidshimmer Goo and Charged Shadowpulse Goo cover the four tiers.[26]
- Energized Goo is tier 6 and needs Forge Energy to stay alive. You can revive goo with the justdynathings:revitalizer, which uses Forge Energy.[15][20]
- Creative Goo is the top tier, listed as MAX. It cannot die, and you can toggle it with any wrench.[14]
Other tier-gated machines
- The Thermo Generator makes 270 FE/t from a heat source alone, or 1620 FE/t with a fluid coolant added.[21]
- The Echoing Budding blocks, such as Echoing Budding Amethyst, grow clusters using Forge Energy and Time Fluid. Each is made from a Polymorphic Catalyst, an echo shard and the matching budding block.[8][9][26]
- The Reforger converts blocks into other blocks, and each conversion costs a catalyst.[19]
How does Just Dyna Things work with other mods?
5 parts
Just Dyna Things is a JustDireThings addon, and you can see it in almost every recipe. Nearly all of its crafts rely on JustDireThings materials, so you'll be progressing through that mod's metals and gems to unlock most of what Just Dyna Things adds.[2][26]
Anvils: JustDireThings metals plus vanilla anvils
The Ferricore Anvil, Blazegold Anvil, Celestigem Anvil and Eclipse Alloy Anvil can each be crafted from the matching JustDireThings block and ingot (or gem) together with any anvil from the vanilla anvil tag. They're meant for repairing gear without spending experience.[3][26]
There's also an upgrade path through smithing. Each anvil is upgraded to the next tier using a JustDireThings block and a matching template, in this order: Ferricore, Blazegold, Celestigem, Eclipse Alloy.[26]
Upgrading a Ferricore Anvil to Blazegold
Solar panels and power
The four solar panels are tied to JustDireThings progression. Each one uses an ingot or gem from its tier plus the matching coal tier. Some also use a vanilla item, such as Magma Cream, Ender Pearl or Sculk Vein. The Thermo Generator is built from Blazegold and Eclipse Alloy ingots with vanilla redstone.[26]

Goo recipes
The charged goo variants are shapeless recipes that combine a JustDireThings goo block, the matching coal tier, a raw metal or gem, and a Totem of Death Recall. The Energized Goo and Creative Goo both need a Time Crystal and an Eclipse Alloy Ingot. The Creative Goo adds a vanilla Nether Star, while the Energized Goo uses Shadowpulse Goo and Redstone Block.[26]
The justdynathings:revitalizer, which revives goo using Forge Energy, is crafted from a Simple Swapper along with Eclipse Alloy and a Time Crystal.[20][26]
Echoing buddings and other mods' ores
Every Echoing Budding is crafted with a Polymorphic Catalyst and a vanilla Echo Shard. The third ingredient is a budding block from a tag, so which block you use decides what you get. The Certus version accepts blocks from an AE2 compatibility tag, and the Entro version accepts blocks from an ExtendedAE compatibility tag.[26]

The in-game guide lists vanilla Minecraft and JustDireThings as base support, and Applied Energistics 2, Extended AE and Phasorite Networks as extra support. It also has a page for an Echoing Budding Phasorite, but no recipe for it showed up in the pack's recipe data.[8][26][33]
Utility blocks using tags and vanilla items
- Blackhole is crafted from a Celestigem Block, a Ferricore Ingot, a vanilla bucket and vanilla redstone.[26]
- Ferricore Clock uses a Ferricore Ingot, a redstone dust tag and the vanilla copper bulb tag.[26]
- Phase Box uses Celestigem, a lapis tag and a tinted glass tag. Its in-game guide says it can use connected textures if ConnectedTexturesMod is installed.[18][26]
- Reforger uses Celestigem, a Ferricore Ingot, and redstone dust, amethyst and lapis from tags. It converts blocks at the cost of a catalyst.[19][26]
Unverified No quests that involve Just Dyna Things were found, so this section is based on recipes only.
Which Just Dyna Things config options matter?
5 parts
Everything lives in 1-general.answer's file, justdynathings-common.toml. Good news: every numeric value in this pack matches the mod default listed for it, so nothing has been rebalanced. Here is what the pack sets for the options you'll most likely care about.[27]
Solar panels
Each solar panel tier has its own FE/t output and capacity. Output goes up steeply with tier, and the extra conditions switch on only for the higher tiers.[27]
- Ferricore: 5-solar_panel.solar_ferricore_ferate is 240 FE/t and 5-solar_panel.solar_ferricore_maxfe is 10,000 FE. The Solar-Spam and Y-level penalties are both off.[27]
- Blazegold: 5-solar_panel.solar_blazegold_ferate is 960 FE/t and 5-solar_panel.solar_blazegold_maxfe is 100,000 FE. Both penalties are off.[27]
- Celestigem: 5-solar_panel.solar_celestigem_ferate is 3,840 FE/t and 5-solar_panel.solar_celestigem_maxfe is 100,000 FE. The Solar-Spam multiplier is on (5-solar_panel.solar_celestigem_spam), the Y-level one is off.[27]
- Eclipse Alloy: 5-solar_panel.solar_eclipsealloy_ferate is 11,520 FE/t and 5-solar_panel.solar_eclipsealloy_maxfe is 1,000,000 FE. Both the Solar-Spam multiplier and the Y-level multiplier are on, so this panel's output can be reduced by them.[27]
The override option (5-solar_panel.solar_ferricore_override and its siblings) would keep a panel active forever by disabling the whole condition system. It is false for every tier in this pack.[27]
Thermo Generator
2-blocks.thermogen_coolant_to_fe is false, so the generator does not require a coolant to make power. Without coolant it produces 270 FE/t (2-blocks.thermogen_not_cool), and with coolant it produces 1,620 FE/t (2-blocks.thermogen_very_cool). Coolant costs 1 mB/t, and the generator holds 1,000,000 FE and 100,000 mB of coolant.[27]
Goo and the Revitalizer
Goo tiers are set per type: Charged Primogel is tier 1, Charged Blazebloom is 2, Charged Voidshimmer is 3, Charged Shadowpulse is 4, and Energized is 5. Each of those has a counter reducer of 15. Creative Goo sits at 2,147,483,647 for both tier (4-goo.goo_creative_tier) and counter reducer.[27]
The Revitalizer costs 1,000 FE/t, holds 10,000 FE, and has a 50 percent chance to apply its FE cost when it revitalizes a goo (2-blocks.revitalizer_cost_chance).[27]
Anvils
- Eclipse Alloy Anvil: items count as instantly repairable at a damage of 1,000 (6-anvil.anvil_eclipsealloy_damage_limit), and above that limit it repairs 10 percent of the damage (6-anvil.anvil_eclipsealloy_damage_percentuage).[27]
- Ferricore Anvil: a delay of 200 ticks to consume a metallic item (6-anvil.anvil_ferricore_cooldown).[27]
- Costs: Blazegold uses 10 mB/t, Celestigem uses 100 FE/t, and Eclipse Alloy uses 100 FE/t plus 100 mB/t.[27]
Other options worth knowing
- 2-blocks.consumeChance is 50, the chance for the reforger to consume its catalyst.[27]
- 2-blocks.blackhole_keep is true, so the Blackhole keeps its stored contents when redstone disables it. Its FE/t cost, mB/t cost and both capacities are all 2,147,483,647.[27]
- 2-blocks.phasebox_requireWrench and 2-blocks.ferricoreclock_requireWrench are both false, so no wrench is needed to change the state of the Phase Box or the Ferricore Clock.[27]
- Echoing buddings cost 100 FE/t and 100 mB/t and hold 10,000 FE and 10,000 mB. Both cost chances (3-echoing_budding.budding_general_fechance and 3-echoing_budding.budding_general_mbchance) are true.[27]
Unverified The file only lists a mod default for numeric options. For on/off options, such as the Solar-Spam and Y-level multipliers, it doesn't say whether the pack changed them from the mod's own default.
