What is Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals (ae2wtlib) is an addon for AE2 that gives you wireless versions of several AE2 terminals, so you can use your ME network without standing next to it. This pack includes version 26.1.1-beta of the mod. It's for you if you already run an AE2 network and want to reach it while you're out exploring or building.[1][2]
What you get
The mod is a Fabric/Forge port of several older wireless terminal mods. The guide covers a Wireless Crafting Terminal, a Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal and a Wireless Pattern Access Terminal. The Wireless Universal Terminal combines all of them in one item.[1][3][4]
The universal terminal adds a button to the UI. Left-click it to cycle to the next terminal, or right-click to go back. Each terminal you install adds 2 upgrade slots, and their energy storage adds together. A universal terminal with two terminals has twice the storage of a single one. AE2's own wireless terminal can't be combined into it.[5]
Why it's worth it
The Quantum Bridge Card is the big upgrade. Put it in your terminal along with a singularity, and put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. The terminal is then quantum linked, which means it can reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, as long as the chunks containing the network are loaded. It also recharges automatically from your network, so make sure the network has enough energy storage.[6]
The Wireless Crafting Terminal adds automatic restocking from the ME network and lets Pick Block draw items from it. With a Magnet Card it also acts as a magnet, which can pick up items from a larger range and put them straight into your ME system. Restocking only works while you're in range of an access point or your terminal is quantum linked.[3][7][8]
Unverified The sources I have don't show where this mod fits in the pack's progression. They show no quests that involve it and no place for it on the ATM Star path, so check in-game before planning around it.
How do you get started with Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
4 parts
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals is an addon for Applied Energistics 2 that adds wireless versions of several AE2 terminals. Its headline feature is the Quantum Bridge Card, which lets a terminal work from anywhere, even across dimensions. Here is what to make first and why.[1]
Step 1: Pick a wireless terminal
The mod gives you wireless versions of the Pattern Encoding and Pattern Access terminals, and both have in-pack recipes. Start with the one you reach for most. If you spend your time encoding patterns, make the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal. If you mostly manage patterns already stored in machines, make the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal.[9][10]

Each terminal has its own keybind to open it: Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal and Wireless Pattern Access Terminal each get an "Open" key in the controls menu.[11]
Step 2: Quantum Bridge Card for unlimited range
Without a link, a wireless terminal only works near an access point. The Quantum Bridge Card removes that limit. It is an upgrade card that links your terminal to a Quantum Bridge, so the terminal can reach your network from anywhere, across dimensions too.[11][12][13]

To set it up, put a Quantum Bridge Card and a singularity in the terminal, then put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. The terminal then recharges automatically from your network, so make sure the network has enough energy storage. Across dimensions it only works while the chunks holding your network are loaded.[12]
Step 3: Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to the Wireless Crafting Terminal. It picks up items in a larger range and can send them straight into your ME system instead of your inventory. You can toggle both behaviours separately and give each its own filter, in whitelist or blacklist mode.[11][14][15]

The pickup range is magnet_card_range, and this pack's config sets it to 16. There is also a keybind to switch the magnet on or off.[11][14][16]
Later: the Wireless Universal Terminal
Once you have more than one wireless terminal, you can combine them into one Wireless Universal Terminal. A button on its screen cycles between the installed terminals. Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and their energy storage adds up.[9][17]
How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work?
6 parts
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals is an addon for Applied Energistics 2 that adds wireless versions of several AE2 terminals. This section covers how those terminals and their upgrade cards behave. The Quantum Bridge Card links to a Quantum Bridge, which comes from AE2 itself.[1][12]
Wireless terminals and the universal terminal
The Wireless Crafting Terminal, Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal and Wireless Pattern Access Terminal are wireless versions of their AE2 counterparts. Like AE2's own wireless terminal, they can be opened with a keybind and placed in a curio slot, as long as a mod implementing the curio API is installed.[9]
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several of these terminals into one item. A button on the terminal UI cycles to the next terminal with a left click, or to the previous one with a right click.[9][17]
- Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the universal terminal accepts the same upgrades as the terminals inside it.[17]
- Energy storage is combined too, so a universal terminal with two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[17]
- Most wireless terminals from other addons also work with the universal terminal.[9]
Crafting terminal extras: Pick Block
The Wireless Crafting Terminal adds automatic restocking from the ME network. It also changes Pick Block: if the item can't be found in your inventory, it is drawn from the network. If your current slot happens to be full, it will try to store items instead. There is a GUI toggle labeled Enable Pick Block.[11][15]
The crafting terminal supports these upgrades: a card that increases battery capacity, the Quantum Bridge Card for unlimited range, and the Magnet Card for magnet functionality.[15]
Restocking
With Restock enabled, your terminal tries to replace items you use with items from the ME system. You can switch it on in the GUI or with the Toggle Restock keybind. It tries to keep the stack you are using at its maximum size, so 64 for most items. Missing items come from your ME system, and excess items go back into it if you pick up more.[11][13]
The hotbar item count also changes to show the amount in the network plus what is actually in your hotbar. Restock only works while you are in range of an access point or while your terminal is quantum linked.[13]
- It will not restock a stack that holds a single item before it is used.[13]
- It is automatically disabled in creative mode.[13]
- It works for most actions such as placing blocks, eating food and shooting a bow. Actions from other mods might not be recognized, and the items used won't be restocked.[13]
There is also a keybind named Stow stack in hand into ME System.[11]
Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to the terminal. You can toggle it or set its filters in the GUI, and a keybind turns it on or off. It does two things: it picks up items in a larger range, and it places picked up items in the ME system instead of your inventory.[11][14][15]
Both functions can be toggled separately and filtered separately, with a pickup filter and an insert filter. Either filter can be set to blacklist or whitelist mode. The GUI shows these as Magnet Settings, with options such as Copy to Insert, Copy to Pickup and Switch Filters.[11][14]
The card's status can read Pickup to Inventory, Pickup to ME, Magnet Off with Pickup to ME, or Off.[11]
The pickup range is set by magnet_card_range. The pack sets it to 16, which is also the mod's default.[14][16]

How do you progress through Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
3 parts
The terminals from this mod are the base items, and the upgrade cards add range, magnet and battery features on top. This page walks through them using the in-pack recipes. The recipe blocks show the exact ingredients for this pack.[9][10][15]
The terminals
Each Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals terminal is a wireless version of a terminal from Applied Energistics 2. The Wireless Crafting Terminal is the wireless crafting terminal. It adds automatic restocking from the ME network, and Pick Block can draw items from the network.[9][15]
The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal is a wireless version of the pattern encoding terminal. The pack has a recipe for it, plus a separate shapeless recipe that also produces it.[9][10]

Upgrade cards
The Wireless Crafting Terminal supports upgrades for battery capacity, for unlimited range (the Quantum Bridge Card) and for magnet functionality (the Magnet Card).[15]
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to the terminal that you can toggle and filter in the GUI, and there is also a keybinding to turn it on or off. It picks up items in a larger range and can put picked up items straight into the ME system instead of your inventory. Both can be toggled separately, and each has its own filter in whitelist or blacklist mode. The in-game guide gives a default pickup range of 16 and says it is configurable.[14]

The Universal Terminal
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item. A button in its UI cycles between the installed terminals: left-click goes to the next one and right-click goes to the last. All of this mod's wireless terminals can be combined, but AE2's own wireless terminal cannot.[9][17]
Combining terminals pays off for upgrades and power. The Universal Terminal accepts the same upgrades as the terminals installed in it, and each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots. Energy storage is also combined, so a Universal Terminal with two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[17]
Which Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals config options matter?
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Only a couple of options for this mod are confirmed for the pack, one in the main config and one in the client config. Here is how the pack sets each of them.[18][19]
- magnet_card_range is set to 16 in the main config file.[19]
- always_show_terminal_selector is set to false in the client config file.[18]
What changed in Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals between versions?
1 part
FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 ships Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals version 26.1.1-beta. The mod was first included in the pack in 1.0.2 or earlier, and the sources here don't show anything older than that.[20]
26.1.1-beta
This is the version you get in the pack, and it is a bug-fix release. The mod's changelog lists these fixes:[20][21]
- Pick Block probably not working on dedicated servers is fixed.[21]
- Pick Block not visually switching to the correct slot is fixed.[21]
- JEI recipe transfer not working is fixed.[21]
- The Universal Terminal recipe not showing in JEI or the recipe book is fixed.[21]
In practice, if you play on a server, Pick Block should behave properly with your terminals. The Universal Terminal recipe is now visible in JEI and the recipe book, and JEI recipe transfer works.[21]
