What is XyCraft World?
1 part
This pack includes XyCraft World 0.7.53. In the quest book, the mod is the source of the Xychorium Gems, which you get by sieving, and of Kivi, a material used for decorations and machines.[1][2]
There are five gem colors: Red Xychorium Gem, Green Xychorium Gem, Blue Xychorium Gem, Dark Xychorium Gem and Light Xychorium Gem.[2]
Kivi is what you need for Machine Frames and other machines in XyCraft. You can also put it in a Stonecutter with Xychorium Gems to make decorative blocks.[2]
Where the quest book puts it
The "XyCraft" chapter has 26 quests and opens with "XyCraft" quest. It describes the series as mostly dedicated to XyCraft: World and Machines. The five gem quests all come after that opening quest. "Kivi" quest sits in the same chapter, and a quest in "XyCraft" comes after it.[2]
Each gem then unlocks a machine quest, which also comes after Machine Base:[2]
- Light gems lead to "Light Field" quest.[2]
- Green gems lead to "Accelerated Planter" quest.[2]
- Red gems lead to "Ignition Plate" quest.[2]
- Blue gems lead to "Water Block" quest.[2]
- Dark gems lead to "Fluid Void" quest.[2]
The mod also shows up in the "Building Tips" chapter, which has 67 quests. "XyCraft World" quest comes after "Colored Blocks" quest and says XyCraft is all about 5 colors, including colored blocks. "XyCraft Lights" quest comes after the light-source quest a quest in "Building Tips". It covers the RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp and RGB Pillar Lamp. These RGB lights take their color from the Dye you make them with, not from the gem.[3]
Most of the "Building Tips" quests are not covered here, so check the quest book for the rest of that chapter.[3]
How do you get started with XyCraft World?
4 parts
XyCraft World is built around five colors of Xychorium Gems and the blocks you can make from them. The pack's quest book opens this with the "XyCraft" quest quest, which says the Gems can be obtained by sieving. Here is the order I'd go in.[2]
Step one: get some Kivi
Kivi is the first thing to look for. The "Kivi" quest quest says it is used mainly for decorations and machines, and that you need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines.[2]
This pack adds sieve recipes for Kivi that work with either a diamond mesh or a golden mesh. Here is the diamond mesh one:[4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/diamond_mesh/gravel/xycraft_world/kivi
If you want to automate it later, the mod also has an extractor recipe for Kivi. The Extractor quest says the machine "grows" the block or item beneath it and moves it into an inventory above it.[2][4]
Step two: collect the gems
The pack adds sieve recipes for the gems too. Here is the one for the Blue Xychorium Gem. The Dark Xychorium Gem has a matching recipe.[4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/diamond_mesh/dust/xycraft_world/xychorium_gem_blue
The mod also has a crusher recipe that turns Kivi into all five gems: blue, dark, green, light and red. The XyCraft chapter has a quest for each gem, placed right after the intro quest.[2][4]
Kivi and Xychorium Gems can also be used together in a Stonecutter to make decorative blocks.[2]
Step three: aluminum bricks and torches
With aluminum in hand, you can make Aluminum Bricks. One craft gives you 4 bricks. A single brick then gives you 4 Aluminum Tiles.[4]

The Aluminum Torch is a light source from this mod, and one craft makes 2 of them.[4]

Step four: lamps and machines
For colorful lighting, there is the RGB Lamp.[4]
The "XyCraft Lights" quest quest sits in the Building Tips chapter, after the light sources quest. It says the RGB lights take the color of the Dye they are made with, not the gem.[3]
How does XyCraft World work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
XyCraft World is mostly a building and decoration mod in this pack, so its core mechanics are recipe chains rather than big machines. The sources here don't explain any power, fluid or multiblock rules, so this section sticks to what the recipes show.[5][6]
Making Kivi
Kivi is the resource with the most routes into it. One route is a machine recipe of the type xycraft_machines:extractor, which turns water into Kivi.[6]
There is a second extractor recipe that needs no item input at all. Its id mentions a catalyst and a water block, but the sources don't say what that means in practice.[6]
The pack also adds a sieve recipe for Kivi, so you can get it without the Extractor.[6]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/diamond_mesh/gravel/xycraft_world/kivi
The pack has also changed the cobblestone generator recipe that produces Kivi, and the decompression recipe that gives you 9 Kivi from one compressed Kivi block.[6]
Blue Xychorium gems and ore
Blue Xychorium Gem has several pack-specific routes. The pack changed the Mekanism enriching recipe so a Blue Xychorium ore gives 10 gems, and it added a sieve recipe for the gem too.[6]

Blue Xychorium Ore can be made by an Actually Additions mining lens, using a recipe the pack changed. Once you have gems, you can pack them into Blue Xychorium Gem Storage.[6]

Stonecutting and block variants
The stonecutter handles a lot of this mod's blocks. The recipe dump counts 76 stonecutting recipes that make XyCraft World blocks, and 76 of their ingredients are blocks from this mod. Aluminum Bricks is a good example: you can craft it, and you can also stonecut it.[6]

Glass viewers and lamps
Glass viewers upgrade in steps. A Reinforced Glass Viewer is the base for an Immortal Glass Viewer. Adding a glow ink sac to cheap glass gives 8 Glowing Glass Viewer, and chorus fruit does the same for Phantom Glass Viewer.[6]

Lamps flip between two states by crafting. A single Inverted RGB Lamp becomes an RGB Lamp.[6]
Aurey blocks can also be made to glow by crafting. A glow ink sac and a Matte Aurey Block give a Glowing Matte Aurey Block.[6]

How do you progress through XyCraft World?
4 parts
In this pack the XyCraft chapter of the quest book opens with "XyCraft" quest. It tells you that XyCraft: World gives you the gems, and that you get them by sieving. From that first quest the book splits into the gem quests and the Kivi quest, so the progression below follows that layout.[2]
Tier 1: Kivi
"Kivi" quest is where the machine side starts. Kivi is used mainly for decorations and machines, and you need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines. You can also combine it with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter for decorative blocks.[2]
The pack adds Ex Deorum sieve recipes for Kivi at iron, golden and diamond mesh tiers, so you can get it early. There are also extractor recipes that produce Kivi, and a Cobble Gens Galore block generator recipe for it that the pack changed.[4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/iron_mesh/gravel/xycraft_world/kivi
The lowest mesh tier that sieves Kivi in this pack.
Tier 2: Xychorium gems
Five gem quests branch off the first XyCraft quest: "Blue Xychorium Gems" quest, "Dark Xychorium Gems" quest, "Red Xychorium Gems" quest, "Green Xychorium Gems" quest and "Light Xychorium Gems" quest. Each one asks for the matching gem, for example Blue Xychorium Gem or Light Xychorium Gem.[2]
The pack adds diamond mesh sieve recipes for the blue, dark and green gems. The XyCraft crusher recipe also lists all five gem colors as outputs from Kivi.[4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/diamond_mesh/dust/xycraft_world/xychorium_gem_blue
Pack-added sieve recipe. The dark and green gems have matching ones.
If you go the ore route, the pack changed the Mekanism enriching recipes for Blue Xychorium Ore, Dark Xychorium Ore and Green Xychorium Ore. Each now gives 10 gems. It also changed the Actually Additions mining lens recipes for those three ores.[4]
Gems pack down into storage blocks such as Blue Xychorium Gem Storage, and unpacking one gives back 9 gems.[4]
Tier 3: Machines
a quest in "XyCraft" comes after the Kivi quest. Reinforce Kivi with aluminum and you get Machine Frames, which every machine needs. The Kivi quest also leads to the fluid storage, item storage and extractor quests. Each gem color then gates one machine, and each of those quests also needs the Machine Base quest:[2]
- Blue gems lead to "Water Block" quest.[2]
- Dark gems lead to "Fluid Void" quest.[2]
- Red gems lead to "Ignition Plate" quest.[2]
- Green gems lead to "Accelerated Planter" quest.[2]
- Light gems lead to "Light Field" quest.[2]
Decorative tiers
The decorative side lives in the Building Tips chapter instead. "XyCraft World" quest comes after "Colored Blocks" quest, "XyCraft Glass" quest comes after the vanilla glass quest a quest in "Building Tips", and "XyCraft Lights" quest comes after the light source quest a quest in "Building Tips".[3]
Aluminum is the base of the building blocks. Aluminum Bricks come first and the tiles are made from them. Colored versions use a gem and a matching color, such as Blue Aluminum Bricks.[4]
Crafting Shaped
4 × any aluminum ingot
Recipe id: xycraft:shaped/aluminum_bricks
Crafting Shaped
4 × Aluminum Bricks
Recipe id: xycraft:shaped/aluminum_tiles
Most variants are swapped in a Stonecutter. The pack has 76 stonecutting recipes that turn one block of this mod into another.[4]
Glass has its own ladder. The Glass Viewer, Dark Glass Viewer and Dire Glass Viewer are all stonecutter recipes. The glowing viewer has two crafting recipes. The Immortal Glass Viewer is crafted from the Reinforced Glass Viewer.[4]
Crafting Shaped

For lighting, the quest book points you to the RGB lamps: RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp and RGB Pillar Lamp. Their color comes from the dye you craft them with, not from the gem. The base RGB Lamp has its own recipe.[3][4]
How does XyCraft World work with other mods?
4 parts
XyCraft World hooks into a few other mods in this pack, and most of the links show up in the recipes. Ex Deorum is where you get your starting materials, All the Compressed handles storage, and vanilla blocks get a colorful makeover for decoration.[4]
Ex Deorum: sieving for Kivi and gems
The pack adds sieve recipes so you can get XyCraft materials without mining. Kivi comes from sieving Gravel with an Iron Mesh, Golden Mesh, Diamond Mesh or Netherite Mesh. A Flint Mesh is not listed for Kivi.[4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/iron_mesh/gravel/xycraft_world/kivi
Iron Mesh is one of the meshes that give Kivi.
All the Xychorium Gems (blue, dark, green, light and red) come from sieving Dust. Here the working meshes are Flint Mesh, Iron Mesh, Diamond Mesh and Netherite Mesh. Golden Mesh has no gem recipe in the pack.[4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/flint_mesh/dust/xycraft_world/xychorium_gem_blue
The other gem colors follow the same pattern.
The quest book lines up with this. The XyCraft chapter has a quest for Kivi ("Kivi" quest), and the Blue, Dark, Green, Light and Red gem quests ("Blue Xychorium Gems" quest, "Dark Xychorium Gems" quest, "Green Xychorium Gems" quest, "Light Xychorium Gems" quest, "Red Xychorium Gems" quest) come after it.[2]
All the Compressed: storage
The pack has compress and decompress recipes linking XyCraft items to All the Compressed. They cover Kivi and all the Xychorium Gem Storage blocks, for example Blue Xychorium Gem Storage and Blue Xychorium Gem Storage 1x. Compressing uses a shaped recipe and decompressing is shapeless. The pack changed all of these recipes.[4]
Kivi to Kivi 1x. Decompressing is a separate shapeless recipe.
Vanilla blocks: colored decoration
XyCraft's override recipes tint vanilla building blocks in the gem colors. They cover bricks and chiseled variants of deepslate, nether bricks, polished blackstone, sandstone, red sandstone, stone bricks, tuff and tuff bricks. For example, Blue Bricks is made from Bricks. There is also a Blue Chiseled Wood Pillar that accepts any planks.[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/bricks_blue
The Kivi quest text also says Kivi is used with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter for decorative blocks, and that you need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines.[2]
Unverified The Kivi quest mentions a Stonecutter, but the recipes found for the colored vanilla blocks are crafting recipes. Check in-game (JEI or REI) which method actually produces each decorative block. This site does hold All the Mods 10: To the Sky's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Lights and dyes
The XyCraft Lights quest ("XyCraft Lights" quest) accepts any of RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp or RGB Pillar Lamp. Its text says the RGB lights take the color of the dye they are made with, not the gem.[3]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use XyCraft World?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
This mod shows up in two quest chapters in this pack: the XyCraft chapter, where it is the starting point, and the Building Tips chapter, where it is one of the decoration options.[7][8]
The XyCraft chapter
The chapter opens with "XyCraft" quest. It explains that the XyCraft mods are mostly about World and Machines, and that World gives you the gems, which can be obtained by sieving.[7]
"Kivi" quest asks you for Kivi. The quest says Kivi is mainly for decorations and machines, and that you need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines. You can also use it with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter for decorative blocks.[7]
Five gem quests come right after the intro quest. Each one asks you to hand in one gem:[7]
- "Red Xychorium Gems" quest: Red Xychorium Gem[7]
- "Green Xychorium Gems" quest: Green Xychorium Gem[7]
- "Blue Xychorium Gems" quest: Blue Xychorium Gem[7]
- "Dark Xychorium Gems" quest: Dark Xychorium Gem[7]
- "Light Xychorium Gems" quest: Light Xychorium Gem[7]
These gems unlock the next machine quests. Each of the quests below needs its gem quest plus the Machine Base quest, which itself comes after the Kivi quest:[7]
- "Ignition Plate" quest needs the red gem quest.[7]
- "Accelerated Planter" quest needs the green gem quest.[7]
- "Water Block" quest needs the blue gem quest.[7]
- "Fluid Void" quest needs the dark gem quest.[7]
- "Light Field" quest needs the light gem quest.[7]
The Machine Base quest is a quest in "XyCraft". It says you reinforce the Kivi with Aluminum to get Machine Frames, which are needed to craft machines.[7]
The Building Tips chapter
Building Tips has three XyCraft World quests. "XyCraft World" quest comes after "Colored Blocks" quest. It says XyCraft is all about 5 colors, and that this includes blocks in Green, Red, Blue, Dark and Light.[8]
"XyCraft Glass" quest comes after the vanilla glass quest a quest in "Building Tips". It points out that XyCraft adds plenty of glasses, from ones you can walk through to glowing and stronger ones.[8]
"XyCraft Lights" quest comes after the lighting quest a quest in "Building Tips". It asks for one of the four RGB lamps: RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp or RGB Pillar Lamp.[8]
